Whenever friends or guests come to my home, I always get complimented on my home being so beautiful inside and outside. It has 'wow factor'. You have the master bedroom for your private use whilst you stay. You'll sleep in a sumptuous memory foam bed which is adjustable at the head and feet end for extra comfort whilst sleeping or for reading a book or watching the TV. The pillows are also made of luxury memory foam. The bed is 'made' using 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases and a duvet cover. The duvet stuffing consists of duck feather down. In the room you have a TV with a DVD player and surround sound. The house itself is the only one like it in St. Albans (as confirmed by the local planning department).

You will have access to hanging space in the wardrobe, and the top drawer in the bedside cabinet in the bedroom, for storage and you will be able to use all of the amenities the apartment has to offer, for example, a library's worth of books, DVDs, Karaoke facility, free WiFi, kitchen and bathroom amenities, and free off-street parking.
Egyptian cotton towels and 100% cotton bed linen are provided, and guests are also welcome to use the washing machine, trouser press, and iron during their stay.
You also have access to tea and coffee making facilities, which include herbal teas, sugar, and unsweetened soya milk. If you prefer cow's milk, then let me know.

Let me know what you need, be that pure relaxation, peace and space or a more sociable stay. I know St. Albans and London very well (history, interesting places, shops, entertainment, and good food), having spent much of my life in St. Albans, and worked and enjoyed London during the day and evening. I can recommend local or London restaurants or entertainment, and help you with booking them (many need advance booking around Christmas and for weekends). I will do my utmost to help you optimise your stay. I will ask if I can help, but please free free to ask me if there anything that I can help with.

St. Albans really is a lovely place to live and visit. It has so much to offer from a twice weekly market, a thriving town centre for shopping and browsing or relaxing in a restaurant, bar or coffee shop (there are so many eating and drinking places), fantastic transport links via road (junctions 21A and 22 on the M25, Junction 8 or 9 of the M1, the A1) and rail connections, and an embarrassment of riches in terms of historical (from the Romans, medieval England through to the Civil War, and more recent times) sites and museums to visit, and a stunning Abbey/Cathedral that has featured in quite a number of films.
Search for websites such as 'enjoystalbans' 'allaboutstalbans' and St. Albans on wikipedia, for more information about the area.

Mainline station: 4 minutes walk (trains to London every 8-15 minutes direct to London St. Pancras International from St. Albans City Station). A fast train takes 20 minutes to and from St. Pancras.
10 minutes to and from Luton Airport on the train.
68 minutes to and from Gatwick Airport on the train
68 minutes to and from Heathrow Airport on the 724 Greenline bus service.
70 minutes to and from Stansted Airport by car or by National Express coach from Hatfield.
It is easy to walk around the centre of St. Albans, and this location is 7 minutes walking from the top of town.

The area is a very safe, and the apartment is totally secure. Locally there is a diverse range of housing from modern apartments opposite to large detached Victorian houses either side. There is local park 2 minutes away, so well worth a visit if you want a pleasant walk, or to even do a bit of exercise in leafy surroundings.

You are welcome to use the rest of the space in the flat, just respect the property and my neighbours as if it was your own home. No smoking inside, and preferably no Indian meals to be heated in the microwave. The house is a 'shoes-off' house, so please bring socks or slippers as indoor footwear.
Due to a number of incidents of spillages, no meals are to be eaten in the room and make-up is to be applied or removed in the bedroom. The bathroom has plenty of space, good light, mirrors (including a hand held), and one can sit down too, for applying or removing make-up. There is a dining table in the kitchen/hall area to eat meals on. If you spill something on the carpet, then please notify me at the very earliest opportunity, in order to minimise any damage. Many thanks.

A relaxed, sociable person who enjoys my home, and my home town. Love popping in to London (fast train is only 20 minutes), going to the cinema and theatre. Music and sport are huge passions, so I'm either watching, playing, singing or planning more music projects. I've travelled a lot for work and pleasure, and know how important it is to feel 'home away from home' wherever I am. My hosting style is flexible to suit my guests's needs. Happy to be sociable and/or to give you space and peace.
