Description

NORTH TABOR. Close-in east side. Short walk to MAX train, walk to grocery. Totally updated 1926 bungalow: new bath w/tub/shower, 2 egress windows. 900 sq ft. Separate kitchen. Original art by NW artists. Sleeps 3 max guests in beds. Lower level apt w/own entrance. WIFI.

Spacious 900 ft. Apartment with its own entrance. This 1926 home was completely updated in 2010, with an all new bath with full tub/shower and separate kitchen.

The kitchen has a stainless refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster over, hot plate, coffee maker, French press and lots of dishes and cookware.

It includes all cotton towels and sheets, new foam mattresses with topper, TV with dvd, and free WiFi. The street in front of the house has plenty of parking.
The spacious studio area is 900' with a sitting room at one end, with a day bed for a single sleeper. The second bed is a Queen, and has a privacy curtain between the two sleeping areas.

The main level is occupied by the owner, who lives lightly and quietly! I also comes with two small Maltese mix dogs who are sweet and quiet. It is unlikely that you will hear or see much of us.

Providence Hospital is a 5-minute drive from the house. And most of the east-side neighborhoods, filled with shops and great restaurants are a 10-minute drive. You can easily walk to a Fred Meyer grocery, Mcneills Pub, Sweet Cream Cafe, and up to Mt Tabor if you want a 60 minute light workout to the top and back.

It is a 7-minute walk to the MAX train stop, so you can easily arrive from the airport by train. The line runs downtown, to the zoo and Japanese Gardens.

I purchased this home 6 years ago because it was beautifully updated and the double size lot added some privacy and space in the city. This is a home that feels good even if it is overcast outside.

Guest access is the side door entry to the lower level. Guests are welcome to sit on the front porch or in the backyard. The house is on a double lot, so it feels very spacious.

I am available, but not too visible. I prefer to be contacted by text and am very responsive.

The neighborhood, North Tabor, is a small pocket that is still old Portland, with new Portland updates. It is very quiet, as there is virtually no through traffic, yet it is within minutes of freeway access and bus and train lines. Within 5 minutes you can access I-84 both east or west. And it is a 7-minute walk to the MAX train line downtown, and many other locations. Please note that the freeway does not impact the house, and is not as close as the map indicates. It is four miles to downtown.

It is an 8-minute walk to the NE 60th MAX train station, which will take you to inner NE Hollywood or Broadway districts or downtown within 15 minutes. MAX will drop you right at the door of the Convention Center or Rose Garden Arena.

A 10-minute drive will easliy get you to all of the great restaurants in the SE Hawthorne, SE Division, 28th and Burnside Restaurant districts, plus New Seasons on Hawthorne. In addition the Roseway Theater, the historic Hollywood Theater and Laurelhurst Theater - 10-minutes again!

The home is filled with original artwork and is very comfortable. It was fully remodeled in 2010 with all new fixtures, kitchen, bath and floors.

A large grocery store is a two-block walk or drive.

Règlement intérieur
L'entrée dans les lieux se fait après 16:00

I hope that guests will be tidy and take good care of everything. Also, quiet after 10pm is appreciated. I do have a 7-pound allergy-free Maltese that is older and quiet. You may get a glimpse of her occassionally, outside in the yard. I am away from the house very often, but always available by phone.

Originally a mid-westerner, Oregon has been my home for 30 years. I live in Portland and love to do all the Portland things like eating out, theater, movies! Also enjoy day hiking, biking and kayaking during the gorgeous summer and fall months. I'm currently a Principal Real Estate Broker, working under my own company Back Home Real Estate LCC. I love my dog, a 7-pound Maltese who goes everywhere with me.
