À propos de ce logement
"I felt like a New Yorker staying here!"- many guests have said. This is a make- yourself-at-home apt., Wifi, blocks from Central Park, with the subway on the corner to get to all the NYC sights quickly. Supermarket,restaurants/bars, within blocks.
This is a very sunny, furnished bedroom with a very comfortable, full size bed that sleeps two people.
The Apartment is half a block from the East 103 Street 6 train subway stop and two blocks from Central Park.
My cat, Milo also lives in the apartment.
It is a 3 bedroom Apartment with One bathroom. Normally you would share the apartment other Airbnb guests who would be staying in the other bedrooms (the maximum number of people you would be sharing with of the other bedrooms is four people. For example, if it were two couples, but usually it ends up being one person and two others. I try to keep the number of people on the lower side.) If you're staying at this bedroom listing, it means I'm out of town for business, which is why my bedroom is free. However, I would be available to answer any questions via text, what's App, phone call, email, etc.
The apartment is renovated and has Cable and High-speed wireless Internet, hardwood floors, high ceilings, large kitchen with marble floors, exposed brick entrance. It is on a 6 floor walk-up; there is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, this can be difficult on the day of arrival, but otherwise, it is good exercise. One advantage is that one more floor higher is the roof which is a great place to enjoy the fresh air and view. Also, being higher up, the apartment is very sunny.
From the 103 St. stop, half a block away, it takes 12 minutes to 42nd St., 18 minutes to Union Square on the local 6 train, so commutes are very fast. You can be in Times Square within 15 to 20 minutes on the subway. Supermarket, laundromat, pharmacy, bars, casual food places to nice restaurants, Bally's fitness, are all located within the immediate area.
You can be a smoker, however, no smoking in the room or apartment. We are looking for someone who is responsible, pleasant, and polite about sharing the common spaces and cleaning up after themselves. Thanks!

The common spaces, which are the living room and kitchen, are for everyone staying at the apartment to relax in, feel at home, and cook if you'd like. There is a small dining table in the living room. You can use the middle shelf in the refrigerator and there is pantry space to store cereal and such.
You can come and go as you'd like. We just ask that if you return late at night, please enter quietly.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
If I am home and not away on a business trip, I will see guests at random times, since I work from home. However, I may be out at meetings as well; my schedule can vary. I am open to hanging out, should our schedules permit, however, most of the time, the airbnb guests are out sight-seeing, doing their own thing, so we just say hello and chat when we happen to cross paths in the kitchen or living room common areas.
(Since this listing is my personal bedroom, in case I forgot something essential, I may have my friend Darren or Gené retrieve something out of the bedroom to mail it to me. This is very unlikely. If it happens, I will let you know in advance. They are trustworthy and I can provide references if you'd like.)

I'm a professional singer (classically trained) and on the side I do contract work with the U.S. State department, traveling with international professionals. I am originally Chilean but I grew up in the U.S. since I was two. I speak fluent Spanish, some French and some Italian. I enjoy cooking, going out with friends for happy hour, yoga, running in the park, going to shows, sewing and knitting, playing with my sweet-smart cat Milo, watching suspense-drama series (Breaking Bad rules!), and traveling unexpectedly.
usually have two roommates so I am used to sharing spaces with people and keeping the common areas tidy and clean. I am social and I like meeting new people, but I value quiet time by myself as well.
am also an airbnb traveler as well and find it so much more personable than a hotel. So, I hope your experience at our NYC apartment will be
