À propos de ce logement
We usually just rent our spare room during the year but we are going travelling in March and April 2017 and would love to rent the whole house. Price would depend on guest number.
Bright double room in beautiful, newly renovated red brick terraced house. Two bedrooms in total - one occupied by us! Ground floor is open plan kitchen, dining room, living room leading out to a small back yard. Portobello is a picturesque, trendy, leafy area of Dublin 10 mins from centre.
Newly renovated with lots of eclectic artwork and books, real stanley stove and firewood, minimalist furniture and clean, bright interiors. Small kitchen with dishwasher, gas cooker, coffee machine, microwave. Lots of light in morning and evening through front window and full length glass doors to back yard. The room is upstairs looking out on the back of the house. Good size double bed and storage space.
Accès des voyageurs
The ground floor is all open plan so this is accessible for guests at all times. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and the bathroom. The bathroom is shared with the owners. We can be flexible about checking in and out depending on other bookings and work schedules. We are both freelance and often work nearby in case of any issues. Guests will be given their own set of two keys for front door and instructions on the alarm and back door lock.

Happy to advise guests on great place to go and see in Portobello and Dublin! Working in the arts and creative industries so can recommend great cultural activity and entertainment available in the city! Contactable by phone and email at most times as both work centrally in the city and freelance.
Portobello is one of the most popular areas to live in Dublin. Very close to town and the many buzzing bars, restaurants, pubs and music venues of Camden Street and Wexford Street (5 - 10 minute walk). Beautiful old red brick houses, very residential and quiet on weekends but with lots of hidden away cafes and gorgeous walks along the Canal. Best area in Dublin for brunch and really good coffee.
The very centre of town is 20 - 25 minute walk away - Camden Street is 10 minutes, Georges Street 15, Dame Street, Christchurch, Temple Bar 20 - 25 minutes, O'Connell Street 30 minutes. Many many buses go from Richmond Street, Rathmines and Camden Street, South Circular Road to all over Dublin. Dublin bikes stands - there are four stands within 5 minutes walk (one is on our road!) of the house. Taxi home from town would be about €7.
Both work freelance at varying hours from Monday to Friday. Often working very late evenings during the week due to attending performances and events as part of work.
It would be great to host lovely, friendly people who are relaxed and respectful. This is our beloved home but we are also both very sociable.
