Lea welcomed me by kindly showing me around the immediate area. The beach and Senegambia are approximately 10 minutes walk away where there are numerous restaurants, hotels, bars etc. There are also local restaurants, fruit/ vegetable stalls and grocery stores in Kololi. You can easily take a taxi from Kololi to Brufut, Kotu, Serrekunda, Bakau, Tanji, Tujereng, James Island, Fajara, Abuko Nature Reserve and any other area you may wish to visit. The apartment itself is bright, airy and clean, with the home like comforts of Ikea furniture with a well stocked kitchenette in terms of utensils and pans. You can settle in and do most of your cooking at the apartment using the fresh local produce from the local stalls or markets which I would recommend. There is a tiny additional cost for electricity which is just a couple of pounds, 150 Dalasi this will last you two weeks.T here is a laptop friendly table both inside and outside, this was very useful. I often walked to the beach or travelled around further a field - just to explore and learn more about Gambia.
It was truly a pleasure to meet the family and children, I would highly recommend Palm Lodge, Kololi.
Thank you Lea and Husband. x
