All bedroom are double; one is en suite The smallest has a single bed to give more floor space. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with fridge, freezer, microwave oven, hob, oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a variety of dishes and cooking utensils. The dining and sitting areas are spacious.

Guests have full access to the whole apartment, including the balcony with views over the River Clyde to the south side.

Basically look after the apartment as if it were your own. The is a list of house rules which prohibit naked flames and other fire and other safety rules. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises. Regrettably, pets are not permitted.

Iain was a very friendly and helpful host, he provided breakfast items and even a bottle of wine as it was New Years Eve. The flat was great and in an excellent location with a fantastic view from the balcony. Recommended.

We're giving this a "one star" rating, because that's the lowest you can give. If we could give zero stars, we would. We booked for three nights, but only stayed for one. The heating and hot water broke down the first day we were there, but the host was more interested in making sure he got his money than in providing a fair service. (Yes, he refused to refund for the two nights that we didn't stay even after the miserable experience on the first day). Apart from that, the flat was dirty. It wasn’t filthy, but it was dirty. The carpets (particularly the stairs) were thick with hairs - literally clumps. The downstairs bath did not drain (I poured half a litre of drain unblocker down, which did make a difference). The upstairs shower room could seriously have done with a thorough cleaning. Bleach anyone? The beds weren’t made up. One of the sofas was in a state of disrepair. There was also a very slightly unpleasant smell. I would say the flat is passable for unfussy students or back packers looking for an alternative to camping out and a cheap city centre location. It is not suitable for families on holiday. Got a family? Thinking of staying here? Think again.

My review of Jerry and Radha was that I felt there had not been "a meeting of minds". This understatement is borne out by his review. Mostly I would dispute the accuracy of his points but there is just one criticism that I would accept: the beds were not completely made up on their arrival but Jerry offered to complete the job to take the flat quickly and I agreed. So, I am surprised to see that here. The criticism is at least true. The other points I would dispute but this would merely lead to a ding-dong. Most items are reported here for the first time, suggesting that I over-scored his communication rating. I will take issue with some points as they reflect on me directly as opposed to through the flat. Jerry claims that he was given a "yarn" about the heating. This suggests that he did not believe some aspect of the incident. He is welcome not to believe my account but he is not entitled to make libelous statements. If he has secret knowledge about the history of the flat not known to me perhaps he could share it. I do find most students quite easy to get on with and certainly easier than some other guests. Backpackers are mentioned presumably because he believes they have negative connotations and that some of that might rub off on the flat. We have never had an application to stay from a backpacker and the reference here is irrelevant. Jerry also scored low on the accuracy of the description. I have re-read the description and find it accurate. I have rented this flat for over three years and always ask tenants if the flat is as they expected. Jerry and Radha are the first to complain. Again this was news to me, but if Jerry passes on a specific item which he believes misrepresents the flat, I will look at that item again and modify if I agree with him. Jerry states that I was only interested in the money and and not in him. Nothing could be further from the truth. Of course I am interested in the money; that is why i rent the flat. On a purely commercial basis, happy customers lead to more customers. But the satisfaction of renting comes from having happy customers who take away happy memories of the flat and Scottish hospitality. I am sad that I was unable to achieve this with Jerry and Radha.
