- Belongs to three twenty-something professional (and, like, super fun) women: Katherine, an Aussie lawyer, Meg Ryan (not the movie star but just as babe'n), and Leslie, who are both speech pathologists
- Is on the third floor, so you only need to go up two short flights of stairs
- Is open plan and full of natural light, with a lovely view from the lounge room down to the street (which, by the way, has a new comfortable couch, a big TV and chromecast)
- Has three bedrooms, each with a comfortable full bed, lots of shelf space and a wardrobe (but this bedroom is the biggest and best - the only one with views down onto the street. Just think of how the others will envy you!)
- Has a fully-equipped, newly renovated kitchen, with all the room you need to prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner! Help yourself to tea & coffee anytime, and to fridge and pantry space, for your groceries
- Has free wifi
- Is air conditioned/heated
- Has linen and towels included

Katherine will be on call 24/7 to help with any and every question that might pop into your head (preferably related to your stay, but also open to intellectual debate on other topics)

Copied from Wikipedia (so you know it's true):

Geographically, the East Village is bordered by Greenwich village to the west, the East River to the east, the Lower East Side to the south, and Gramercy Park and Stuyvesant Town to the north.

Culturally, the East Village began to develop its own identity and culture in the late 1960s, when many artists, musicians, students and hippies began to move into the area, attracted by cheap rents and the base of Beatniks who had lived there since the 1950s. The neighborhood has become a center of the counterculture in New York, is known for its diverse community, vibrant nightlife and artistic sensibility.

Basically, no matter what time of day (or night), the East Village is bumpin'. Being on the border of Greenwich village and the Lower East Side means you're just steps away from the West Village, SoHo, TriBeCa, Little Italy, NoLiTa, and Chinatown. There are infinite bars, restaurants, parks, cafes, boutiques, shops and people (and animals) from all walks of life - it is one of the most creative, vibrant and busy areas in the city.

Union Square, Essex, and 2nd Avenue subway stations are all ten-minute walk from the apartment, meaning you have fast access to the F, J, M, Z, 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, and R trains which makes commuting to anywhere in NYC quick and easy. For example, it takes me exactly 25 minutes (in rush hour!) to get from my front door to my work desk in the Chrysler Building (Midtown).

But there is also SO MUCH to see on foot - walking around this part of town is a joy and never boring!

We might be renting out more than one room at a time, so if you hate meeting new people, please check with us before you book!

- No smoking in the apartment
- No guests without prior permission
- Clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom
- Have fun! But not by partying in the apartment at 3am. There are a billion other places you can do that here - that's the beauty of the East Village!

Katherine

Hi everyone! I'm Katherine and I'm a lawyer from Sydney. I was lucky enough to have spent the last six months of my degree studying abroad on exchange, traveling all over Europe.

Now I'm onto the next adventure - living and working in New York City. I'm still new, but I've already managed to convince my housemates to give airbnb a shot whenever we're away - using the website as the main source of accommodation throughout my travels has shown me that my adventure can continue right at home!

Our apartment has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and unlimited fun times - so drop me an email if you'd like to see how we do things in the city that never sleeps - I'd love to meet you and hear your story.

Katherine :)
