Johnny's place is exactly as advertised. Great room, killer view, central location, and considerate host. Johnny was always just a text away if I had any questions, be it regarding the space or suggestions as far as where to grab a cup of coffee or bite to eat. This was my first …
Beautiful view of the city! Loved that part. However , be prepared for the area that is West Hollywood. A lot of homeless people and sort of a busier street. The pool and gym aren't actually available to guest . Also, the water in the shower would splash scorching hot from time t…

Please understand that this guest's critical review (in glaring contrast with the many positive reviews for this listing) seems to be little more than a spiteful response to a claim we were forced to file with Airbnb for the extensive damage she did to the space. That said, I will respond to Briana's claims here, one at a time: 1) Actually, this isn't West Hollywood at all. It is Hollywood, right in the heart of Hollywood, 1 block off Hollywood Boulevard and the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. It's a major tourist destination for people from all over the world. Sure there are some homeless people on the busy streets of this vibrant, busy neighborhood - no different than in any major American city. It's also one of the safest and most well patrolled neighborhoods in Los Angeles. 2) The "pool and gym" she refers to are in a separate location, a few short blocks from here. Upon check-in, we provided her with all the information needed to avail herself of those amenities, so I really don't understand her claim that they weren't available to her. 3) Nobody has ever complained about the shower water here before, however, since we're on the top floor, countless guests have sung the praises of the great water pressure in the shower. 3) As to the "broken" elevator claim, it was simply being repaired for a few hours one day. Once, not "a few times", and that was the first and only time there's ever been any sort of issue with either of the 2 efficient elevators in the 10 years+ that I've been hosting guests in this building. 4) She also claims that the space has "no air at all" - which is grossly misleading. I think she meant to say there is no Air Conditioner - which is pretty normal for a 100 year old historical building. There are, however, 2 large windows (one of which she broke), which provide a delightful cross breeze. You will notice that no one has ever complained about "no air" before. You will also notice that she made no mention of the sofa and brand new comforter that she ruined, nor did she respond here to what I told her in a private message about never having seen a guest leave such a disgusting mess behind when they checked out. I won't even go into this person's constant disregard for posted House Rules, unauthorized visitors at all hours, leaving garbage all over the place, not to mention the drug paraphernalia she left behind after checking out. Nonetheless, I was even kind enough to leave her a positive review, despite her many transgressions, as I am not a spiteful person. But she should be complied to pay for the damage she did to this space - which has been reported to Airbnb. By the way, if you take a look at our long, successful hosting history on Airbnb, you will see that we have never been compelled to make a damage claim before, and we wouldn't be making one now if this person hadn't been basically the guest from hell and then, after the fact, ended up costing us a lot of money to deal with the trail of unnecessary destruction she left behind. Live and learn.
