  • Great experience very helpful people and very attentive to our needs !

  • I requested a booking at Mary's Room, but Jaime responded that it was being occupied but suggested the Adobe Casita. We only stayed one night but fell in love with this area of Las Vegas as well as our friendly hosts and their lifestyle. I'm ready to move, Jaime! Just tell me when. Thanks for all the information about the hot springs in Montezuma and the filming information about the Longmire series on Netflix, too. The photos and information are completely accurate. The bed (one of two queen size in the room) was comfortable. We did not even miss having wifi for the one night. Your hospitality was amazing. Loved our stay.

  • This was my best Airbnb experience. These are good people. Very passionate human beings living life authentically local, and they are actively involved in the community. Perfectly clean casita with quiet and privacy. The walk to the old town square is ten minutes and plenty of interesting things to check out. I'll be visiting again.

  • Perfect stay! Jaime went above and beyond our expectations. We will be back!!

    Danielle2015-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We just got back from staying in Las Vegas, NM at Jaime and Katherine's casita. Over our whole trip we stayed in three places and this was definitely the best one!! Jaime and Katherine are personable and kind and will do whatever you need to feel comfortable. He was very responsive and came home quickly to help us when we absentmindedly locked ourselves out of the bathroom. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen nook is a perfect little space to make meals. If you're staying in Las Vegas, this is where you want to be, hands down!! Anytime, I'm going there, this will be the place I look for vacancy before any other. We felt like we were staying with old friends, but in reality had never met them before.

    salif2015-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • A place you must stay. Kathy and Jaime are wonderful. They invited us to a gallery show on the plaza and it was great. We will be back again and again.

    Zuri 2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Jaime and Katherine's place. It was exactly as they described. Jaime was a gracious and generous host. I felt very comfortable, and safe. I had a wonderful night sleep. The nearby river walk is divine; I felt like I was in a peaceful, beautiful oasis. The neighborhood is 2 blocks from the plaza, with old world New Mexico charm at every turn. In the evening I went to the hot springs to soak under the stars. It was a lovely, relaxing stay. I look forward to the next time. Thank you Jaime and Katherine!! Darcy

Your retreat from it all! Enjoy the tranquil sanctuary of our hidden valley on the Pecos River. A beautiful 45 minute drive from Santa Fe and only 20 minutes from the historic railroad town of Las Vegas, New Mexico. Take time out to write, paint, sing, meditate ... spend time by the river, visit with our horses. Wi-fi free (meaning no wi-fi) so you can deeply rest and rejuvenate! Gated access and parking next to studio.
My husband and I created the 'studio' from an old adobe cow shed seventeen years ago when we moved on to the property. We fell in love with this tranquil hidden valley as soon as we crested the hill and saw its beauty with the back-drop of Glorietta Mesa, the largest mesa in North America. The wooden plank floors are all original and we put the spiral staircase up through the hole in the ceiling where the hay used to be pushed down to the cows. A new roof with skylights creates a welcoming sleeping space and the super comfortable queen size bed and two futons allow up to three people to stay. The thick adobe walls and shading from the big 'grandmother' cottonwood tree keep the house cool in the summer. Base board heat and the option of an antique wood cooking stove keeps things very cozy in the winter. We added the 'atrium', which also helps keep the house warm in winter and is a lovely place to sit in the early mornings and evenings during the summer. There is only a minimal grocery store close by and no restaurant closer than Las Vegas, so you will need to bring your groceries. We provide all organic breakfast sundries, local organic farm eggs, coffee and tea and plenty of cookware and utensils. Local bio-dynamic farm goat milk is also available by request.
We are in a rural area that in days gone by was a vibrant farming community with 'acequias' coming off the Pecos river for irrigation. Now it is mostly hay that is grown with the exception of Dragonfly Farm, a small 'one woman' bio-dynamic farm and an Ostrich farm. The area is exceptionally beautiful with its combination of fertile river land and large trees juxtaposed with the surrounding mesas and rock formations.

  • What a glorious respite from my busy life. The farm is set in 33 acres of green, right on the Pecos river, with an acequia (creek) running close to the casita building I stayed in. Grandma Cottonwood tree, standing tall for at least 200 years, was a wonderful to sit in and listen to a variety of birds and the occasional contented sigh of a horse. The double adobe is rustic, spacious while being cozy, and very comfortable . I reveled in the freedom of no wi-fi, no clocks, sleeping wonderfully in the firm and comfy bed. Plenty of room to do some yoga in the loft bedroom as well. A lovely selection of breakfast goodies was provided by Mahara: fresh eggs, raisin bread, fruit, coffee, teas, cream, and an assortment of milks. I hiked up the rocks across from the farm to behold a beautiful and tranquil view. One of the highlights was bathing in the Pecos River and having a spontaneous mud treatment, private except for a Great-Horned Owl, who escorted me out of the trees to the river bank. So much wildlife to see. And lots of footprints in the mud by the river: Great Blue Heron, raccoon, deer, just to name a few. I ended up staying an extra night as two nights was not enough. It was one of the most relaxing and rejuvenating things I've ever done for myself and I will be returning often. :~)

  • Everything you'd expect from a traditional bed and breakfast. We spent most of our time in the nearby towns, but the property itself was beautiful and relaxing. Everything makes you feel right at home.

  • I had a wonderful time at the casita - a great combination of rustic charm and modern conveniences. The location is perfect - it has the rural quiet and yet it's a few miles off Route 25. It's a short walk down to the Pecos River where you can wade or swim. There were beautiful sunflowers waiting for me in the casita and some breakfast items, including fresh local eggs. Mahara was very friendly and helpful explaining everything when I checked in. It was the perfect quite, relaxing weekend I was looking for!

Our place is close to wildlife and nature. You’ll love our place because of the quiet and seclusion. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. This eclectic hogan (6 sided) style cottage is snuggled among scenic pine with breathtaking views of horses, deer, and more. Open and breezy; attention to detail shines from every facet. Great place to write a book, enter silence to drop stress, or just come for the evening after exploring.
This historic cottage is completely private and provides accommodations for a couple comfortably. Most guests have been individuals looking for secluded place to stop the world and find themselves. "Ancient and powerful," "magical," "incredible," are just some of the words used to describe this unique home. Many guests check-in and then never leave the house and grounds until their check-out day. This 76 acre shade-grown eco-spiritual center is surrounded by other large ranches and is completely private. Three seasonal ponds on the property attract a variety of wildlife. There are amazing hikes, including an 11-curcuit labyrinth, medicine wheel and 1/3rd of a mile of the Santa Fe Trail, with a graveyard and Round House ruin. Guests have the option of booking a personal time with the Shimas - Auntys, as Maria and Lynda have come to be known, which could include incredible bodywork with Lynda, ceremony and medicine wheel counceling with Maria, how to be accepted into the herd with our free range horses. Reservations include full access to all the grounds. The cottage is located 1/3rd of a mile in from the gate and is in what we call the Hub of Infinity, where our house also is. It includes: Refrigerator, Gas Range, Toaster, pots, pans, dishes, cappicino machine and Coffee Maker. Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash Provided. Fully furnished with Queen-sized bed in sleeping area, full-sized futon couch that can be pulled out. Herb picking (seasonal) privileges included. Secure parking. Close to hiking trails and historical sights. Coffee is provided as well as a dozen fresh eggs (when available). Optional (additional fee): Historical/Ruins tour: 2 hours and includes an overview traditional historical storytelling, archeological site, ceremonial rites and insights into overlapping issues of the land. $75.00 per person.
We live five minutes south of the historic town of Las Vegas. Here you will find the Castanada Hotel - of Harvey Girl fame; Plaza Hotel - where Billy the Kid played cards; and One World College - formerly the Armand Hammer santorium for tb. Hotsprings line the walk along the road that passes the College, which now serves as an international boarding school. We're about a half hour from Ft. Union, which is north, and to the east about the same time is the Pecos Ruins. Toas during good weather takes about 90 minutes - in the winter you have to go around through Santa Fe, which makes it about 2 hours. Ski resorts are 90 minutes- 2 hours away.

My place within walking distance of the city center of La Plaza Vieja ( Old Town ). It is close to safe, paved walking trails, fine dining and several restaurants. You’ll love my place because of its historic nature! The home was built circa 1869 and has been completely renovated. Off street parking with a secure back yard for motorcycles or trailers
Plenty of space! Large master bedroom, large kitchen with utensils, large bathroom with two sinks, living room with desk
It's historic, most houses around here date circa 1869 and the neighbors have been here for generations. It's quiet and friendly

  • This beautiful little house kept us warm and comfy for four days in the high prairie. It is spacious, laid out perfectly for family time, and felt like home the moment we hit the door. We slept well, showered well, and cooked and ate well. We will definitely be staying again. There's no way you could get a better bang for your buck!

  • Ray was easy to communicate with and a hospitable host. His place has been renovated with oblivious loving care and is centrally located. [If you notice those early cancellations, don't worry - they were an Airbnb scheduling snafu. Ray is super reliable!]

  • Ray is a great host. He shared his top 5 sights to see in Las Vegas and they were all excellent recommendations. The house was clean and in a quiet neighborhood close to the plaza. We enjoyed our stay at Casa Valdez.

    Barbara2016-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ray’s place in Las Vegas is very nice. The wood floors are beautiful and the kitchen is nice and big. He gave us a great little tour of the place when we arrived and was very kind! I would definitely book this place again.

  • Las Vegas was a welcoming, and neat little town. Our walk to the historic district for dinner with our pet was great. The house was big enough for our dog to roam around and the main bedroom was comfy! With the windows cracked at night it was a great temperature inside. We can't wait to get back to Las Vegas, and we hope to see Ray again. His insights to the local area, and directions were a crucial part of our stay.

A beautiful cabin on the ridge of the Pecos valley, a short hike to the river. Breathtaking views of the mountains, wilderness, Rowe mesa and the Milky Way. The drive to Santa Fe is easy and gorgeous (about 35 minutes). Enjoy modern conveniences alongside the seclusion and rare beauty of wild Pecos ridgeland. With fast internet its also the perfect place for a work retreat (and uploading your adventure videos!) Check out our steep discounts for weekly and monthly bookings.
The location, southwestern detail and full amenities make for a unique, relaxing and comfy stay. You're not likely to forget the breathtaking views of the Pecos Wilderness and our unbelievably vivid starry night skies. You will be contributing to an emissions-free tomorrow by staying in this solar-powered house (grid connected). The Tempurpedic queen bed is electronically adjustable. My sister Narayan lives in a casita on the property and she will be your co-host. FYI she's a professional massage therapist and offers hot stone and integrative muscle-tissue massage onsite.
The Pecos River Retreats have gorgeous views of the Pecos Wilderness, Sangre de Cristo mountains and Rowe Mesa. There is great hiking right out your door and in the surrounding area if you crave more. Seasonal swimming, hiking and fishing down on the river.
  • Remote beauty, gorgeous views, great solar powered house. Very clean, host made sure plenty of supplies. This is a get-a-way destination, be prepared. There are no stores or businesses near by. But this is a great place to escape the city and enjoy nature, we sure did! Hiking, river swimming, fishing, and star gazing were our favorite things to do here.

  • Had a fantastic time. The view from the deck is breathtaking, and we have not seen the Milky Way so clear. Just loved every minute, and Narayan, Suki and Matthew are fantabulous! Thank you so much for an unforgettable time!

  • Narayan was an excellent host, her communication was impeccable and everything that we needed to to know before we made the trek North was detailed for us. The cabin was exactly what we expected, a little bit rustic, but oh so charming and very spacious. It was the perfect home base for exploring Las Vegas and Pecos, we visited the Dwan Light Sanctuary in Montezuma, Historic Plaza Hotel and Monastery Lake. The Pecos river was an adventurous little 4x4 jaunt down the mountain and the little swimming hole was perfect for our new pup, Webster. He enjoyed playing with Suki and running around the property. We can't wait to stay at Matt and Narayan's place again soon.

  • We had a great time staying at Mathew's little house:) it was so relaxing and fun ! Our dogs had a blast playing with suki in the big yard. When we arrived we were greeted by Narayan and then escorted to the house which was stocked with all the essentials. We really appreciated that a lot of the products were natural and organic. One night we just layed on the deck staring up into the Milky Way! Thanks so much

  • Matthew ' s place was perfect for us as a home base for our New Mexico whirlwind tour. It truly did feel like home for our two night stay .But one with a much better view which was spectacular. The House was well equipped and comfortable. Great Bed and the bedroom / loft was like sleeping in a moon lit tree house. If you like dogs and wooded paths this is the place for you .Very convent to Santa Fe and Las Vegas areas. Mathews sister Narayan was our hostess and she seemed like an old friend helping us out with what ever we needed. We would stay again if we get the chance. only one thing we couldn't find a measuring cup .... minor detail compared to all else

    Kirstin2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • We were blown away when we got to the house. The view was breathtaking. You can hike down to the river. They had everything we needed and then some for a 4 day get away. There were 4 of us. 2 of us slept on the futon down stairs and it was super comfy. They had a crock pot for easy meals, plenty of fridge and freezer room. But the view is what we will remember the most. Thank you Narayan for being so hospitable. We hope to be back soon. ❤

It features original hand stripped vigas (wood beams) harvested from the local land during original construction. We are centrally located on 7th Street, one of the main streets in Las Vegas. Convenient to both downtown areas. Many shops, galleries and places to eat are within short walk. Las Vegas has a long, rich and fascinating history. This is the authentic Las Vegas: a three-college town 45-minutes east of Santa Fe; the southeastern point of a spectacular loop to Taos along the east side of the Sangre de Cristo mountains; an impressive collection of architectural gems and a burgeoning arts community. Las Vegas was incorporated in 1835, but the original settlement is just as old as Santa Fe. Las Vegas served as a key stop on the historic Santa Fe Trail; a hard-core wild west town; home to America's most notorious gun-slinging outlaws including Doc Holliday (who owned a saloon and barber shop in town), and Billy the Kid (who spent time in jail here); and a gritty backdrop for numerous films including "Easy Rider", the Academy Award-winning "No Country for Old Men", Simon Pegg's sci-fi comedy, "Paul" and television pilots for "Vegas" and "Midnight Texas". Its beautifully renovated historic train station brings travelers via Amtrak from downtown Los Angeles to the west, and from downtown Chicago to the east. Las Vegas has long served as a gateway between east and west, a densely layered locus for generations of people in motion: Apache and Comanche nomads, French fur trappers, Spanish conquistadors, pioneers migrating westward, fevered gold miners, wild-west outlaws on the run, east coast merchants, Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders, Hollywood film crews, bikers on Harleys and Europeans in search of the authentic Wild West. This is a three college, two high school town and it can be celebratory and noisy at certain times of the year, including: start of school, homecoming weekend, graduation; and during large event weekends, such as the Fourth of July, The Fiestas, the Rough Rider Motorcycle Rally, and New Year's Eve. However, this is a town of parades and celebrations, so these are also some of the most festive and fun times to be in town. If you are going to be in town during one of the above noisy weekends of the year, and are not in town to celebrate and/or are seeking peace and quiet, remember that Rita-T's is right in the thick of things. If you want to be a part of the action, we are very convenient to everything.
  • Home is well stocked and has a nice kitchen. Good for short and long stays alike. Highly recommended. Roy is very professional and helpful. Host always responded to texts and request for information often.

  • Quiet living quarters, the art work and decoration endearing. Loved most especially the kitchen, well equipped and generous. Nice place for a quiet vacation. Enough entertainment indoor if you like to read, watch movies. Was relaxing for us.

  • The apartment is spacious and nicely furnished. Roy and Julie are lovely people. It was a delight to meet them and view their art and Rita's art. The place is convenient to everything and it was very nice to be so close to my sister and her family.

  • Rita-T's is a wonderful place to stay! It's convenient to everything you'd like to do in Las Vegas. Guess that's why I keep coming back.

  • This place is an absolute gem! What a lovely abode - spic and span apartment with a well stocked kitchen, beautiful and interesting decor, complete with an adorable fenced in back patio off of the kitchen. Also, this apartment is a wing of a beautiful brick church that was converted into an art space/studio and living quarters. Roy was very welcoming and knowledgable about the town and NM in general, and gave me some great suggestions about places to check out on my short overnight stay. After being shown how to use everything in the apartment, I was given a paper guide about Las Vegas and a brief history about the area and culture. Roy and Julie even offered to take me on a tour next time I was in the area. It was only a 10 min walk to Bridge street and the historic Plaza hotel from the apartment, a very pleasant and beautiful walk. I would highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to the area! Being hosted by people as lovely as they are makes a huge difference. Even though I was only passing through Las Vegas, my stay at this wonderful home had an incredibly positive impact on my trip as a whole. Thank you! :)

  • Great space, appointed very nicely - everything you could want, seriously, the place was full on ready to move in. Very polite and respectful host - too bad our stay was so short!

    vince2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hosts were very welcoming. Property met and in some ways exceeded expectations. Hosts are very careful to explain how appliances, etc. works. If you are a cook, the kitchen is the best equipped I've ever seen. Apartment is very spacious. Very comfortable bathroom space. The only downside would be some road noise as the adjacent street is fairly busy, but admittedly living in a rural location has me spoiled to quiet.

  • What a delightful place to stay. The house is well appointed, clean, stylish and comfortable. I love the downtown location, historic building and the hosts were very attentive and available. 10/10 will stay here every time I come to the hot springs.

One bedroom suite with gated access located in Las Vegas New Mexico. You will have your own room with privet bathroom which has shower/bath combo. A small dining area with access to a microwave and refrigerator as well as a small social area to relax after a day of hiking, riding, boating, fishing or sight seeing at many of our local State parks or local Fiestas/festivals, and rallies.
  • Lucy's place is a new space in the Las Vegas area (Sept 2017) and she is just getting going into the AirBnB venture. I was welcomed by Lucy and had a good conversation before getting into the room. She has a good space with some good features. A fenced-in yard with a large private parking space. The room has a private entrance and you can come and go as you please without affecting the host and their living space. The bed is comfortable and there is no neighbor or road noise in this space.

  • Great airbnb in a beautiful, historic location. Jaime and Kathy are hospitable hosts; attentive and knowledgeable. Jaime knew a lot about the old town and was happy to answer our questions. We stayed for 2 nights and skied at Sipapu and then soaked in the Montezuma Hot springs; it was perfect.

Come stay in this adorable historic adobe remodeled home in the heart of Santa Rosa, NM. Walking distance from the famous Blue Hole, Park Lake, and near eateries and shopping. This house has lots of charm and will allow you to be one of the locals. Whether you are looking to just get away or if you would like privacy and a place to stay while you are visiting friends and family this is the place. We look forward to hearing about your stay.
This is a family home, owned for generations. Our Great Grandparents raised 7 children in this home when mattresses were made of potato sacks, hand sown and stuffed with cotton. Our family raised a goat to eat and feasted with extended family here. Grand children and great grand children always were welcome here. My mom says that my Great Grandma called this here castle. Come see why. It's a quiet, beautiful small town.
Quiet and on a hill. For 4th of July, you can see the fireworks from the from of the yard.

  • Fun furnishings in a quiet neighborhood where working with Robin was easy. Thanks for letting us use your home.

  • Our family of 4 spent 4 nights at Robin's place. The home has everything you need. It's clean, spacious and quiet. We enjoyed our stay!

    Krista2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best vacations of my life. I wanted a quiet family Christmas away from the hustle and bustle of shopping and extended family with hopes of some snow. We got exactly that, and the white Christmas to boot! The home is gorgeous. The photos do not show how big the house actually is. My family of 6 had more than enough room to spread out. Games and puzzles were provided for family bonding. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed home cooked breakfasts and dinners each day. The decor really made you feel at home and every ammenity you could possibly need (including nail clippers, tweezer, and q-tips in the bathrooms) were provided. I would love to stay here again and would recommend it to others. I hope to visit the beautiful Pecos Valley during another season where we can do more outdoor exploring. One bit of advice: Go to the grocery store in Santa Fe before you head to the house if you plan on cooking. There are no real grocery stores within 20 miles of the house. Just Family Dollar and Dollar General for small items.

    Kristen2016-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Robin's place. It's the best equiped home weve ever stayed in. The sun room was perfect for breakfast, the leather couches in the living room very welcoming in the evening. Great natural surroundings. Many comfortable beds.

    linda2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the coziness and amount of space. This is somewhere in between staying in a cabin and in a house. Heating and cooling can be a bit finicky if you're used to central AC. The wood burning stove, space heaters and fans will come in handy. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, dishes (mugs, cups, flatware). We brought bottled water but the water seemed fine during our visit. TV set up was great (Netflix, etc.). Great internet service. We liked having access to a washer and dryer.

    Jason2017-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Robin was a great host and the property was even better than than the description and pictures could convey. Excellent communication before, during, and after the stay and great details sent ahead of time. Beautiful, immaculate, well-stocked adobe in a peaceful, well-kept area with plenty of privacy. Access to the Pecos Wilderness was wonderful. The stars! I suggest you take time to sit on the back deck, make a little fire in the chiminea, and enjoy the dark night and the sky. Give this place a try - if you like NM, I bet you'll like it.

    John2017-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Robin's home was even better than we could have hoped for. Communication was excellent and every detail was tended to. A well-stocked kitchen (sharp knives! So many pots and pans! Filtered water!) made meal prep a breeze. She's managed to create a space that is both incredibly cozy as well as private and spacious. The dining room was a perfect backdrop for an intimate birthday dinner celebration shared with friends and family. Thank you, Robin!

We are close to the Santa Fe Nat. Forrest, great trout fishing on the Pecos river, just a mile away. About 26 miles from Santa Fe. We have a National Monument near the Village of Pecos, hiking trails in the Forrest.we are in a rural area.we are about a mile and a half from mainstreet pecos. if you cannot find us we will be happy to meet you at the dollar general on mainstreet pecos,if there is a lot of snow you may need 4 wheel drive to get to us,depending on the weather,
There are stairs with 7 steps to get in the front door. The house is one story. The altitude is around 7000 ft. All kitchen appliances in the kitchen are available. There is no dish washer.
Very quiet, great views. We have 4 families living on our dirt road, and we each have about 4 acres
  • My wife and I travelled with our adult son and James's place perfectly fits 3 people.

  • James and wife were extremely kind and hospitable to our family. Great place to stay and would stay again, loved the homemade muffins and cinnamon rolls!

  • James is an incredible host. This place far exceeded all expectations. It was well worth driving out of our way for.

  • My boyfriend and I had plans to camp at a campground near Pecos, but when we arrived (around 7:30pm, after dark) the campground was closed. We did some research and quickly discovered that most campgrounds were already closed for the season. James' place was only about 10 minutes from where we were in the mountains, and after reading all his stellar reviews, it was a no brainer to instant book with him and his wife. We had only a little bit of trouble locating his place using (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps, but figured it out pretty quickly. Once we were outside we called him to make sure we were at the right place and he answered right away and came outside to escort us in. He was so kind to take us in on such short notice and fairly late at night (around 9pm). He made sure we had everything we needed and our stay was very comfortable. His dogs are so sweet, we especially loved Lucy :) and yes, it's true, he had homemade cinnamon rolls for us for breakfast. We are so grateful for his hospitality!

  • Jim and Ginny are great, just oh so lovely! We had a wonderful stay and wish it wasn't so quick. The last minute booking couldn't have worked out better. Jim and Ginny are both so kind and welcoming, it was an absolute pleasure! The views were breathtaking and the coffee and the cinnamon bun were delicious. The pets were so friendly and the outside porch area is a must hang out spot! Ask Jim to set up the fire pit and your night under the stars will be complete. This is definitely a place we hope to return to!

  • James was an amazing host. He made my family and I feel at home and was very sweet!!! I loved the two rooms and pricing. He is a great family man whom made sure we had a great experience. I will stay there again for sure. I couldn't have been happier!! I love the quiet atmosphere. Only go here if you intend to relax and be courteous to the hosts in their home; this should be self-explanatory but a host this great, should have great guests as well.

    Megan2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • My GPS couldn't located this place but James came down to Pecos to help me. I had a bit bad day, but they and their pet(2 sweet dogs and 1 sweet cat-because I am an animal person, James took them out to greet me!) kept me good company through out the night, unwind my mind. Great hospitality should I say? Oh they have deck with nice view of mesa too!

    Mieko2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay with James in Pecos. His place is near the Pecos National Historical Park, which is what I was visiting. Although it is close to town, it was a bit difficult to find the first time because it's down a few dirt roads and off the beaten path. Still, James was very willing to help with directions by phone and was very helpful. I stayed two nights and the second day I was a little worried about getting out in the heavy rain because of the dirt roads and small bridge that you need to cross to get back to the highway. James was kind enough to follow me in his truck to make sure I got into town all right, which was very nice. He has two large dogs and a cat, so it's good to be aware of that if you have any animal allergies. I am sometimes fearful of large dogs and I didn't have any problems - they were really sweet. James also made fresh cinnamon rolls for breakfast; he used to be a baker. Overall, I would recommend this as a place to stay if you are in Pecos. It was a good value and good location once I got my bearings in the area.

  • Ramona and Gabriel were great hosts. Ramona gave us a tour of the property highlights even though our arrival was a bit later than expected. The cabin is one of a number of cabins located in the gated space. As guests, we had access to a lovely trail along the river and picnic grounds. The other residents/guests we met were friendly. The location on the river was spectacular! If you love the idea of camping and sleeping in a regular bed with a flush toilet and shower nearby, this would be perfect for you. We enjoyed a fire in the deck fireplace our first night and loved having the electric coffeemaker in the morning. The supplies were perfect from coffeemaker filters to paper towels. We had the added treat of getting to see Gabriel and Ramona preparing their vintage autos for a rodeo parade. There is a great space for washing dishes outside the bathhouse, and we cooked some fabulous food on the woodstove. The stars at night were awesome, especially with the sound of the river in the background. We undertook a zipline adventure in nearby Glorieta which was incredible. We enjoyed every aspect of visit and were sorry to head back to civilization.

  • A lovely cabin, in a beautiful enviroment. We stayed 6 people. Although the sleeping bed in the livingroom might not be the Best of beds it was no problem compared to the enormously hospitality and generosity we met from Ramona and her family. We were invited to a private dinner and the meeting with these lovely people has been one of our most precious experiences of our trip to the U.S. Do visit them if you want a "real" air'nB experience.

  • We had an amazing time staying in this cabin! It felt very private and the host left everything ready for us on arrival. The cabin itself is very modern and beautifully decorated, with beautiful views from the balcony and every window. This cabin was the perfect size for two people, but it would be comfortable for a few more as well. We had a great time exploring the local hiking and going into Santa Fe to grab food and shop (which was only 20-25mins away). Overall it was a really wonderful experience!

  • This was the best stay ever. Better than a top Las Vegas hotel you get more bang for your buck with this Cabin! The view alone is worth the price. I'm definitely coming back!

  • Great location with terrific views and small trails out back. Check in was easy and Barbara was super responsive. Would visit again for sure.

  • The cabin was wonderful! The decor was cozy and comfortable and included all the conveniences of home, including wifi, tv, gas grill, gas oven, microwave, etc. The kitchen was complete with dishes, pots and pans, and silverware. They even had some books, puzzles and a few games for their guests. Our favorite places were the upper and lower decks, which had magnetic screens for convenience, as well as tables and chairs with cushions for comfort. The views were breathtaking with the surrounding trees, mountains, and wildlife. We also enjoyed walking along the the paths through the trees on the property. Our hosts were available, if we needed anything or had questions, but they gave us our privacy. We would definitely recommend this cabin for your enjoyment and relaxation.

  • My family stayed at Barbara's Modern Cabin for 2 nights and I wish we would have planned to stay longer. The view of the stars is incredible! And, the layout is open, so we all got to hang out together. The kitchen is great and has everything you would need. We loved it and my kids will talk about it forever I am sure.

    Kristin2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, wow, wow! This is the absolute best place I've ever stayed on Airbnb. The house itself is just too cool - from the concrete floors to the huge windows, to the AMAZING second floor deck and sweet spiral staircase, my husband and I were just blown away! And the surroundings... the pictures do not do it justice. We loved walking the trails around the property and were lucky enough to get to sit on the covered deck and watch a storm come in. We seriously regret not staying longer.

  • Perfectly rustic. Genuinely old but very clean, comfortable, and functional. Close to National Forest, far from noise and stress. Spend time exploring the large property or just hang out on the front porch listening to the stream. Wi Fi available if you really think you need it. Hosts Lacey & Kat very gracious and accommodating.

    John2017-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We were so comfortable in the Martin cabin! It is clean and has everything needed for a pleasant stay. If you are are tall, just be aware that the bathroom and kitchen ceilings are only about six feet. Even with that, we want to stay there again. Our four days flew past. The property is peaceful and scenic. From the meadow you can see Hermit Peak. The hike up Hermit Peak is fantastic, and the cabins at El Rito are the perfect location if you are planning to go up. If you want to get away and relax, the Martin cabin is a great place to do it. Kat and Lacey are gracious hosts. We appreciated the history of their family and the cabins.

  • Emily and Matthew's guest house is ridiculously awesome! Everything from Emily's maps of the area, thoughtful kitchen amenities and snack items, to the sustainability/ wellness focus was wonderful. It was really nice to have our own space. The property was easy to find and they were great communicators and very helpful hosts. We will definitely check this listing for a place to stay on future visits to the Santa Fe area.

    Melissa2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • This casita is so comfortable and welcoming! Matthew and Emily put lots of intentional care into making this place feel like your home. I appreciated the directions to the river, which was absolutely stunning! The area is secluded with a beautiful view of the stars. A pleasant place for a retreat in the wilderness with the comforts of home (coffee included)! I definitely recommend this stay.

  • Emily and Matthew's property is a great place to relax. After a long drive in the sun, it was great to find beer in the fridge. We really appreciated the conscientiousness, especially the map to the river front which was absolutely magical. If you are looking to explore Las Vegas or Santa Fe, this is a great spot to stay as it is a beautiful drive to both.

    Stefanie2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is awesome- great ambience, amazing landscaping and gorgeous views. Matt and Emily seemed like wonderful people and my only regret was not having more time to spend there and go on a river trip.

    Chris2016-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED this place and were blown away by this view! The attention to detail was second to none. The hike down to the river was beautiful. The casita was cozy and had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. Emily was very responsive and super easy to communicate with. Thanks again!

  • Emily and Matthew were very welcoming. Emily was quick to answer our questions and she even gave local recommendations for the Santa Fe area. The Casita was the perfect stay for our honeymoon. It was quiet, clean, had a gorgeous view, and was a short hike away from the Pecos River. My husband and I would love to re-visit in the future.

    Jessica2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Before our arrival, my boyfriend and I were fully prepared with all sorts of recommendations and tips--thanks to Emily and Matthew. Communication with them is easy and fast, and they made us feel at home. The casita is a fantastic easy-to-find place to stay even if you're just passing through this area like we were. It's a quiet space with everything you need. The views, hikes and star gazing are phenomenal bonuses. I would highly recommend!

    Monica2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Emily and Mathew were incredibly welcoming. We felt we had everything we needed throughout our stay and if we had any questions, they were both easily accessible. They also provided us with countless suggestions for good restaurants, hikes, and swimming spots. The Casita was beautiful and accommodating, making for a really sweet stay away from Santa Fe, but close enough to still enjoy it. I highly recommend staying here!

It features original hand stripped vigas (wood beams) harvested from the local land during original construction. • Georgina's Casa was perfect for the two of us! Everything we needed, they provided, and our hosts checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and offered suggestions where to eat and shop. The apartment has a heritage of family & love, and it was very special to be included in that history. We truly enjoyed our "home away from home"! Thank you, Georgina & Miguel!

  • Our two-week vacation at Georgina's was better than perfect, and we are so glad that we booked both of our weeks here! Within walking distance of the downtown plaza, I could shop while my husband fished in the afternoons. The apartment was fully accommodated with everything we needed. Fresh linens were always available, the living room furniture was extremely comfortable, and the mattress & pretty bed linens were so welcoming. Our hosts were delightful, gracious, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the town & surrounding areas. If you want a restful, enjoyable place to stay, I highly recommend Georgina's & Miguel's Casa!!!

Leaping Deer Ranch is a luxury guest ranch on 185 acres. With well appointed rooms, plenty of space, large covered porch decks, and beautiful scenery you will enjoy a peaceful respite.
We are a working guest ranch with very high-end accommodations. Come spoil yourself at the base of the Sangre de Christo Mountians, far removed from the din. We have a hot tub in the rear garden with views of the mountain behind the house. In the mornings is the best time to get a glimpse of the deer. There is a bobcat that lives in the area, so do not let your pet(s) roam around. The bobcat will not bother any humans and honestly, I have only seen him twice in three years. We have a floatation therapy tank that is available to book for sensory deprivation meditation sessions. Call to schedule a session. Flotation sessions are $30. There is a 1600 sqft yoga studio with scenery windows that overlook the valley and pastures bellow. The same space could be used for parties, dancing, meetings, or whatever else your imagination desires. Call for pricing of the event space. We have portable cafe seating and table service that can accommodate 16 people. Leaping Deer Ranch showcases 27 pieces of fiber art from the artist Marianne R. Williamson (not the author) and numerous other pieces of fine art. It will be a little bit like staying the night in a museum, feel free to take an hour or two to enjoy the pieces of work. We have a small rock path garden in the front of the house where there is a large stainless steel grill. This area makes for a great place to have a barbecue. There is a bonfire pit. If weather permits and there are not burning restrictions in the area, we can set up an epic fire to enjoy a night of stories by. DO NOT START YOUR OWN FIRE!! If you start a fire without permission, you will be asked to leave. There is a fireplace in the living room and plenty of firewood stacked by the garage. You can start a fire at your leisure in the living room. The kitchen has a wine and beer fridge We have a half acre dog park available for guest's dogs. It is beautiful and we like to say that it is the greatest dog park in New Mexico. We affectionately named it Doggingham Palace. It was built with repurposed first cuttings from a local sawmill, the most environmentally sustainable dog park that we could imagine. We are adding an outdoor pizza oven this spring. If you would like to make or order a homemade pizza in an outdoor woodfire pizza oven, please coordinate that with me.
We are about 70 miles from Santa Fe and 65 miles from Taos. The Whittington Center is about 100 miles to the North. Storrie Lake State Park is 5 miles to the south. (URL HIDDEN)
  • This home is really beautiful - there is stunning artwork in all of the rooms. It fit our party of nine very comfortably. I would advise anyone going to this home to use the directions and map provided on the website - your GPS will misdirect you. Also it is very very dark at night and hard to find the entrance so best to arrive during daylight hours.

  • The leaping deer ranch is a great place to stay. It has a relaxing atmosphere. My family and enjoyed staying here. A couple of us got to see and pet the goats on the property. We also got to feed the horses. I would recommend staying here. Colin and Fred we amazing hosts and were very flexible and friendly.

  • This is an amazing place with unforgettable scenery. Quiet and serene, four horses on the property, a chance to be close to nature. The house can accommodate many guests and is very well-supplied. Fred and Colin answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. Only wish we had more time to enjoy this special place!

  • If you are looking for a remote working Ranch with all of the amenities to make you feel welcomed, then this is the place for you. Nestled in the foothills of the northern New Mexico mountains, Leaping Deer Ranch has everything that will make you and your guests feel welcomed. Beautiful prairie and mountain views and lots of space to gather with friends and family. We sat outside on the wrap around porch start gazing one night. Great place and we will definitely be back again. Most people might not venture towards Sapello, NM; however, this would be a great base camp for all of your northern New Mexico adventures. We didn't use all of the amenities that were available to us, but there is a great fire place (with firewood provided) in the Den, a hot tub, a fire pit and a Yoga Studio. The 4 bedrooms in the main house all had their private bathrooms. a big plus for our family. Colin and Fred (our Hosts) were great with communicating and making us feel at home. Highly recommend Leaping Deer Ranch.

  • My company and I recently stayed at the Leaping Deer Ranch for a company retreat and it was wonderful. The house is spacious, lovely and extremely well-stocked (especially the kitchen!) The amenities allowed us to have a relaxing time after all of the work that we got done - the inclusion of a hot tub, bonfire pit, and gas grill really added to our experience. The home is situated in a gorgeous locale so if peace, quiet and beauty are what you are looking for this is definitely the place to stay. Colin and Fred were available to help us out with anything we needed without being in the way. They are excellent hosts and this house is amazing! I definitely recommend it for your company retreat or family getaway!

They were incredibly accommodating and treated me like a relative (by inviting me to their home for dinner and having conversation). I can't thank them enough for everything they did for me while I had my car worked on by a less than reputable auto shop.

  • If you want quiet, solitude, and rustic retro, this cabin is the place for you. Wonderful mornings to wake up to with the sounds of birds in the fresh smelling pines. Take your coffee or tea outside and watch the sun and the clouds play hide-and-seek with Hermit Peak, the background for the sweet smelling grass pasture that extends from the back door of this cabin. With 150 acres of pines, oaks, cottonwoods and grasslands to walk in you have plenty of space to enjoy the wildlife. For the hiker numerous trails are nearby in the National Forests, and for the fishing buffs, the streams are some well kept local jewels. Las Vegas is a neat town to visit, the art community is up and coming and the restaurants serve some famous green hatch chili dishes. Visit the plaza in the historical district with it's famous 1880's hotels and buildings for a walk in yesteryear. Easy day trips to Santa Fe, Pecos , Mora and Taos are scenic drives not to be missed. Whether you enjoy the outdoors or the Old West appeal of the local towns, this cabin is far in the woods but easy enough to get too. Enjoy, I sure did and will again.

  • Lacey is an amazing host! We arrived to find a pitch-perfect rustic cabin set amongst pine and oak with a beautiful view of the famed Hermits Peak. Kat and Lacey warmed our arrival with a gift basket full of goodies and a refrigerator full of bottled water. I seriously dreaded leaving this beautiful valley and plan to return soon. The cabin was built by hand in the 1950s, so it has rough edges. For city dwellers and suburbanites, this perfectly appointed period piece cabin is a welcome respite from the squares and boxes and veneer that surround our modern lives. Kudos to Lacey and family for preserving these beautiful, unique Americana treasures.
