  • Had a great stay at Jason's place during our first visit to Austin. We were primarily in town to visit UT, so the close proximity to the campus was very nice. The place was in great shape and very comfortable. No problems whatsoever. Would definitely stay at Jason's place again for a future visit.

    Brady2013-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s Austin place was fantastic! Great location, stylish space. Close to some great bars and restaurants. 2 minutes to several bus routes. Perfect place for 2 people. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Texas.

Modern, light-filled tiny house in central Austin has all the amenities of a hotel room but in a quiet neighborhood near UT. Perfect for 2 people, it's an easy walk to restaurants, bars and music, and a short drive to downtown, east side and SOCO.
The best way to experience Austin is to come and go from the privacy of your own home. This 8' x 17' tiny house has all the amenities of a hotel room but in a neighborhood setting in central Austin near UT. The tiny house is parked in a big backyard and has its own private access. It’s a short walk to popular local eateries like Olive & June and Austin breakfast original, Kerbey Lane, and an easy drive to the east side, SOCO, downtown, SXSW venues, Zilker Park, and UT activities. Off-street parking is steps from the front door. The house has an open, airy floor plan with lots of natural light, custom cabinetry and modern furnishings. The loft space is a great sleeping nook with a queen bed, sconces, and outlets so you can charge your phone or other devices at night. The shower and toilet downstairs and comes with basic necessities like towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner and a small blow dryer. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, and a sink for both kitchen and bath needs. The kitchen has essentials for enjoying a simple meal like plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, utensils, hand and paper towels, cutting board, knives, can opener, salt & pepper, etc. There is 138 sq. ft. downstairs and an additional 42 sq. ft. sleeping loft for a total living space of 180 sq. ft. Please remember that it is a tiny home and the shower space is smaller (3' x 3') with a curtain door to the bathroom. It may be uncomfortable if you are very tall. My partner is 6'4" and he has to slump a bit in the shower. I've had several tall guests who have not had any problem but I want to be clear in my description of the space. The tiny home has a 10 gallon water heater, which is standard for small spaces, but if you like to take longer showers, this may not be the space for you. While I have a 2 night minimum stay as a general policy, I will consider a 1 night stay, so feel free to send me an inquiry. It mainly depends on if I will be able to get free from work to clean it before you or the next guest arrives. The price includes all city and state hotel taxes. The tiny home features its own private access and small courtyard shaded by a Texas pecan tree! Parking is spacious, off street and steps from your front door. It also has a Tevo lock, so can be accessed from your smart phone or by key. The tiny home is located in my big backyard but is very private and I will not disturb you. What is so great about the neighborhood is that it is so walkable - restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and running trail are all within walking distance. It's close to MoPac and is a short drive to pretty much all that Austin has to offer. It's got lots of great trees, people out walking their dogs, and a nice neighborhood feel to it. If you are planning on getting around by taxi, you will easily be able to hail a cab downtown but you will need to call ahead to get a cab to pick you up from the tiny home. Most guests use Uber or Lyft. If you plan to take the bus, there is a bus stop a block from the house and other bus stops are within walking distance. While I have a 2 night minimum stay as a general policy, I will consider a 1 night stay, so feel free to send me an inquiry. It mainly depends on if I will be able to get free from work to clean it before you or the next guest arrives. Please be courteous and considerate of the neighbors.

  • Trish was a lovely host. From the beginning, communication with her was a breeze. The tiny house was exactly as it is pictured, if not better. The bright feeling and big windows made it feel far from tiny. We were also surprised by the height of the ceilings, especially over the bed. The location was great, everything was less than an easy 10 minute drive. We also really enjoyed the parking spot and separate entrance. Can't wait to stay here again, and recommend it to friends!

    Madeline2015-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem! We brought my car so we had the means to dart around the city with ease. We were so close to just about everything. Trish was th (Website hidden by Airbnb) host and took care of any (minor) issues we had immediately. Next time we are in Austin, her's will be our first choice for a place to stay.

    David2016-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Trish’s tiny home. It was comfortable, clean and freakin’ adorable!

    Rachel2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful tiny house and great location! Trish was great! She responded very quickly and answered all my questions throughout my stay. Can’t wait to stay there again.

    Rebecca2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • TINY HOUSE. Sometimes this phrasing seems impossible for those of us who are taller. Being 6’5”, I had my reservations but was up for the challenge. The house is quite spacious. The loft was large enough for my wife and I to sleep comfortably in. The only issue with being my height (my issue, not necessarily the case for EVERYONE) was that my head touched the ceiling underneath the loft. Not a big deal at all! Overall experience was great. Trish is a great hostess. She does a great job communicating with you and providing location details!

    Dillon2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay in Trish's tiny home! There were so many great amenities and the home was not only extremely comfortable and cosy, it was spotless as well. I would definitely stay here again!

    Brenna2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time staying in a tiny home. Trish was very communicative, making sure I had all the necessary information and checkeded in to see if I needed anything during my stay. This tiny home is very cozy and comfortable for a place so small.

    Justin2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • The home is just enough into the heart of Austin to enjoy the city's many attractions, yet has the perfect secluded feeling to make for a comfortable getaway. The home itself is tiny as you might expect but certainly has key amenities adequate for a few nights stay. The small space also compliments it's minimalist aesthetic, making a seemingly tight space feel alive, perfect for couples!

Welcome to our studio in the heart of Hyde Park! The casita (Spanish for "little house") has its own private fenced yard and parking. You can walk to Hyde Park Village, the Triangle or North Loop and it is minutes to downtown and UT by car.
Our private studio offers convenient access to everything you want to do in Austin. It is small (approximately 250 square feet, like a small hotel room) but what it lacks in size, it makes up for with charm (and everything you need for a great stay). The casita includes a private fenced yard with off-street parking and a private entrance. Also included are WiFi, and smart TV (no cable, but Netflix account pre logged in.) The studio has a brand new Queen sized bed. Guests with children are welcome to bring an air mattress for no additional charge, but space is tight with a mattress on the floor. Due to its limited size, we DO NOT recommend the Casita for 4 full-sized adults. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge and microwave with a portable 2 burner hot plate and all of the windows have window coverings for privacy. As we are located in the middle of a historic residential community (and love our neighbors), keeping outdoor noise down is critical. Enjoy the deck and private yard, but if you're a fan of blaring music and doing beer bongs, you're in the wrong place. The studio is located near several bus stops in a safe neighborhood that is very safe to walk in. Thanks for checking us out! Our beautiful and friendly neighborhood is one of the oldest in Austin. It is full of tree lined streets with eclectic homes. You can walk to local coffee shops, restaurants or Shipe Park for a picnic or swim (in the summer time)!

  • As I write this review from a dreary New York afternoon with a bone-chilling wind and unceasing rain, all I can think is, Winter is Coming—or at least a Nor-easter—and I wish I were back in the Hyde Park Casita. I spent four peaceful days relaxing in the light-filled, thoughtfully-designed, and well-stocked little house. Really appreciated the clean, modern aesthetic, the powerful wall unit, multiple entertainment options on the large-screen TV with Roku installed, and strong WiFi signal. Had a little trouble getting in at first due to unfamiliarity with the electronic locking system, but soon sorted it out with the help of the hosts, who were both really nice and responded quickly to calls and texts. I didn’t have a car but was able to walk to the grocery store and to the coffee shop (Flightpath) for delicious New Orleans iced coffee and Tacodeli breakfast tacos. Definitely stay here if you are in Austin and looking for a quiet, restful alternative to noisy and impersonal hotels.

    Nana2015-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We lived staying at the casita on H! It was the perfect place to stay for a quick get a way! The host was so friendly and helpful. The place was so adorable and clean! We will definitely stay again and recommend to our friends!

  • Love this little place. I stayed there for five days to work and visit family. Nifty house, great location. I would definitely stay there again.

    Andy2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Really liked the design of the casita, the space was really cute & it felt really private. Great location - we had a car, but took the bus downtown a few times with ease and also walking distance to the grocery store etc. Took up the recommendation of the doughnut spot on Airport Blvd and they were seriously the best doughnuts I've ever had - do it!! Only negative was the bed was really squeaky & noisy, but Chris is aware of this and did try to fix it, he said a new bed is on its way. Didn't get to meet Chris, but he was available when we needed him.

    Daisy2015-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot! Super cute and close to everything. I highly recommend it.

    Amber2016-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • The neighborhood was wonderful, very cozy and quiet. It was nice to come back from the city to the Casita and relax and recharge. The atmosphere was wonderful, the decor was so cute--everything about it was inviting and enjoyable.

Lofted craftsman cottage in the heart of central east Austin. Located less than a mile from UT and 1.5 miles to downtown. The cottage has an open and comfortable vibe with natural light against the custom woodwork and vaulted pine ceilings.
Completely renovated, open and modern cottage with loft in central east, atx. The cottage has been restored over the past couple of years and is essentially a new house on the inside. The interior has a vaulted tongue and groove pine ceiling with a loft, hardwood floors, tiled bathroom, and relaxed open atmosphere. Cottage is centrally located less than a mile from ut and the state capitol and 1.5 miles from downtown. The MLK commuter rail train station is directly across the street from the house and is one stop from downtown. Bennu (the local 24 hour coffee shop) is a couple of blocks away, as are restaurants, bars, etc. on Manor road (within walking distance). Check out my guide for restaurants and such in the area. The house has central ac/heat, high speed wireless internet, cable tv, washer/dryer, tankless water heater, full kitchen, w/ coffee maker/coffee etc. Super comfy queen size bed with 400 thread count linens, lots of comfortable pillows, and fresh towels in the bathroom. The house has a ton of windows and can be bright and sunny with the blinds open letting in the natural light, or cozy and dark with the blinds closed and lights dimmed against the interior woodwork. The cottage is furnished with a mix of mid century and custom pieces. The loft has a sofa that converts to a full size bed and can accommodate 2 extra people. There is also a unique outdoor seating area with vintage wrought iron furniture that's been re-done with comfortable cushions. Is a nice hang out space for relaxing and enjoying coffee or drinks with friends. The area also includes a grill for whatever you'd like to cook up. Is difficult to portray the comfortable vibe of the house in the pictures. I'm the iphone photographer so pics are a bit rudimentary and hardly do the house justice. I also live on the property in the adjacent back cottage. I'm a native Texan and long-time Austinite that can give you insight and recommendations about the city according to what you're seeking, but am just as happy to not cross paths as the cottage is pretty autonomous. The house is super convenient to all things in central Austin and is a great place to relax and recharge during your stay. A bit of history from the Austin Historical Commission about the cottage - "these cottages were built by the Calcasieu Lumber Company of Austin as small dwellings in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s and (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s. Founded in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, Calcasieu Lumber Company was Austin's first lumber yard. The company had standardized plans, and provided all the materials, even the crews for the construction of these houses on an owner’s site. The Calcasieu cottages are unique to Austin, and have a signature Romantic Tudor Revival style, with steeply pitched hipped roofs – many residents have long referred to them as “fairy tale cottages” because of their soaring rooflines. Calcasieu manufactured these cottages through the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s, but stopped with this romantic Tudor Revival style prior to World War II. The Calcasieu Lumber Company was an Austin institution, and their cottages represent a uniquely Austin manifestation of an architectural style that is found nowhere else in the country. Maintaining them in Austin is extremely important." This property is in compliance with the City of Austin's Short Term Rental ordinances. Lic# (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) OL
The most eclectic, interesting neighborhood in the city. Walk, bike, or take a cab downtown. Houndstooth is 1/2 block away for the best coffee in town. The rail station is across the street and downtown is one stop away. Skylark lounge is a must.
  • I only stayed in Brad's cottage for one night and he was very accommodating with my last-minute reservation. The space is very big and pretty, with lots of wood finishes and cool furniture. He even had some oldies tunes playing when we arrived! The East Austin location was both convenient and quiet. It was nice and clean with kitchen supplies and a TV. Would certainly stay here again!

    Jae2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This little house was fantastic! We highly recommend it. The hosts had clearly taken care to stock the house with comfort and useful amenities. It was just my wife and I, but we could have comfortably also had a third person in the upstairs bed. We were visiting to work with someone at UT and it was very convenient -- if you're looking for a place in that area it would likely be a mistake not to stay in this wonderful mini-home.

    Dean2016-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay in Austin. We'll check if it's available on our next trip.

    James2017-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brad's house was really lovely - really nicely designed with beautiful furniture and well put together for visitors. Really appreciated the thoughtful touches of having some extra toiletries and snacks available in the apartment. The iron was appreciated when we found some of our clothes had wrinkled, the blow drier when I realized I forgot mine at home. It felt like Brad had anticipated every need we might have. The bed is also very comfortable! We really liked the East Austin neighborhood, laid back with some cool restaurants/bars, but still neighborhood-y and quiet. It was nice to be within walking distance of a train and a bus line, and a long-ish walk to downtown, but doable. It would probably be easier to get around with a car, but we did OK with a combination of public transit, walking, and Uber. Brad and his girlfriend were perfect hosts, there when we needed them and seemingly invisible the rest of the time - we really felt like we had our own private piece of Austin. Unfortunately, there is a large construction site across the road and while not too loud (I've certainly lived next to much louder), if you are a light sleeper it might wake you up in the morning.

    Catherine2015-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was very helpful and easy to communicate with.

    Rachel2015-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Bradley’s place for my in-laws who were visiting from England. They could not tell us enough how clean Bradley’s place was, that it was the cleanest place they’ve ever stayed and they travel a lot. They were very comfortable and that’s saying a lot as my father in-law is extremely picky! The location is ideal. It’s directly across from the MLK train station for heading downtown but there are also lots of lovely neighborhood shops and restaurants close by that are very walkable. We would highly recommend Bradley’s place and would happily book it again the next time my in-laws are in town.

    Melinda2018-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Brad was a great host. Replied right away to any questions I had. Being my 1st time using the app he made it an easy process. Not to mention his house was amazing, stylish, close to everything, and well maintained.

  • Bill is an amazing host! From the greeting card, to the decorations, to the environment of the property, and Bill himself. Everything was amazing and I can tell Bill genuinely cares about his guests from all of the little details he puts into his place. Will definitely stay here again in the future when I visit Austin.

    Samuel2016-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. What an amazing place and gracious host. The Hideaway felt like our personal five-star hotel. Truly exceptional. Serene, beautifully appointed, comfortable. Easy walking distance to South Congress Street.

    Denise2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect! It truly was a "hideaway"! The greeting note card was very thoughtful. And we were obsessed with the decor. The location couldn't have been any better!

    Kristin2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Bill clearly has this down to a science! Home location and check in are easily managed independently which can be helpful if arriving at off times or for those who prefer to come and go on their own.

    Jennifer2015-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Everything in Bills place is thoughtful and fun. He has a lot of really cool furniture and fixtures throughout his property. Additionally, the location of the property can't be beat. It's right in the heart of the SoCo district which is central to a lot of great shopping and restaurants. Definitely recommend!

  • This was our first experience with airbnb and I'm not sure we could have found a better place to stay. Bill is a top notch host. His property is amazingly beautiful. The decor and comfort were perfect. Will be back for sure.

    jim2016-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Bill's home is a stylish oasis and by far the most lovely Airbnb we've stayed in. It is close to all the fun of South Congress, but is quiet and zen-like inside. The furnishing are high-end and hip, but also inviting and comfortable. Ending the day with a swim in the private pool will stay one of our favorite memories ever.

    Jan2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Despite a short stay, I loved my time at Bill’s spot. The pool was a treat and the place was extra comfortable - from sofas to beds. Location was also great - walking distance to SoCo. Perfect choice for a quick visit to Austin.

  • The SoCo Cottage is in a great location. Chris is knowledgable about the area - he even gave us a quick tour when we first got there. He was a thoughtful host - aside from the usual toiletries, he had sunscreen, umbrellas, etc for us to use. Also, the bed and the chairs were very comfortable!

  • Great time. Walking distance to restaurants. Host was very nice and helpful.

  • The rental is great. Spacious and full of light, and could not be in a more excellent location. Chris was a communicative, excellent host. Highly recommended.

  • Loved my stay at Chris's SoCo Cottage. He was very attentive with directions and places to go. He even made a special trip to get us a travel map since we were going to Marfa and a GPS would not function in remote areas. The bed was very comfortable and the stash of sodas and fruit drinks was very welcoming. I loved the decorations. The dogs were very beautiful, loving animals. It was an overall perfect first stop on our trip through the South West. Chris respected our privacy and I felt very safe there. I was traveling with my adult daughter and this was the perfect place for her to decompress. Thank you, chris

  • A wonderful stay at the SoCo Cottage! The house is the perfect size, is playfully decorated, and has everything for a luxurious stay -- a comfortable bed, huge fluffy towels, a giant bathtub (with a seemingly endless supply of incredibly hot water, for hot shower/bath lovers). The backyard has an enormous teepee, chairs and a picnic table for relaxing. Chris, the host and owner, is friendly and has great recommendations for what to see and do. Also, the location is ideal. Up and across the street is Bouldin Coffee House -- they have a happy hour from 3-7 with cheap, excellent drinks, and great food (lots of vegan options). A short walk in the other direction takes you to South Congress, where you can shop your way to downtown Austin.

  • Awesome space that felt like home instantly. Chris was awesome for picking us up before our scheduled check in time and suggesting things to do. Highly recommended.

  • The SoCo cottage was more than we could have expected for our stay in Austin. The location couldn't be better, it's quirky and comfortable, and Chris is an awesome host with great recommendations. Hope to be able to visit again soon.

  • Chris was a great host and the place was perfect. Just a block from South Congress and a mile from 6th st. Perfect place for those who want to stay close by but want to not be in a standard hotel. We ate at Guero's Mexican Grill on South Congress and tried the old fashioned Soda Shop. Definitely recommend.

  • I just stayed 3 nights at Ben's while at a conference in Austin, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The place was in a very convenient place, and it was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was luxurious, and Ben was really accommodating as far as check-in time. I would happily stay here again!

    Wan2016-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • The host was very kind and communicated well. He gave us tips of things to do in the city which was helpful. Our room was very clean and cute, however I thought I would have an entire home like it was listed. If you're okay with staying in a single room of a house, then I recommend staying here!

    Sarah2016-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very cosy and comfy, nice location close to downtown and nightlife. The ensuite has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a big walk-in closet, wonderful patio, and even though there is no kitchen you have enough appliances to make breakfast and keep your food and drinks cool: fridge, coffee maker and microwave. Ben is a great host, gave us tips for the neighbourhood, supplied us with a hairdryer we didn't have with us. Overall a very pleasant stay! I would stay here again and recommend to friends.

    Petra & Tim2015-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Word to the wise: stay here! Why?: 1) The space is true to photos (super cute and clean!) 2) Ben, your host, is incredibly accommodating and responsive. He let us keep our bags well past our check out time to accommodate our travel plans and was quick to respond to emails I sent him. 3) there's a small patio out the front door that's great to enjoy a beer on 4) the location is great! Lots of fantastic local restaurants and bars (la barbeque, launderette, etc.) 5) you're close to the river, where you can walk the path right to downtown Next time we come to Austin, we will stay here again. Thanks, Ben!

  • Ben was an amazing host! We had a great time renting bikes, riding around, and going out to dinner on Rainey Street.

    Matt2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location! We walked to Rainey street several times and to 6th street. We were in town for a wedding and the weather was horrible. With that being said, it was nice to have a nice place to go back to in the afternoon and dry off and change. Place was clean, quiet, and very nice.

  • The room is clean and comfortable. John is very friendly and nice. I really enjoy the experience staying here.

  • Room is large & very comfortable. Although I didn't get the opportunity to meet the owner, everything was super easy to figure out. The location is South of Austin & it's very close to restaurants, stores etc. good for the price.

    Angelica2016-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Master Suite at Jonn's home is very spacious, clean and comfortable. It easily fits 2 people and even 3. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom has a large tub with a walk in closet. There is also a washing machine and dryer that you can use in the apartment. The neighborhood is quiet and perfect for a morning walk before it gets hot. The location is also 10 min away from bus stop to get to downtown. For those who have car, parking is also available. Jonn was very welcoming and nice. I had to check in by midnight and he was kind to stay awake until I arrived. I highly recommend Jonn's place.

    Gilbert2015-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was really great meeting Jonn. Such a nice guy...very enterprising! Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We had a great time in Austin!

  • I didn't go unfortunately but Jonn made preparations for the trip very easy. He sent me all the details beforehand and was easy to reach.

    Wafaa2016-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jonn's house was clean & nice. The room and bathroom are both huge! The only thing I would tell others is that it is about a 10-20 minute drive to downtown Austin so if you have a car then this place is perfect! (We drove into Austin so we were fine!) However, if you're flying into Austin & relying on Public Transit, it may be just a little too far out of the way. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay!

    Ashley2016-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • House was kept cool during horrific heat and place was kept very tidy.

    Trae2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Jonn's place was great! It was easy to get in and out of town. The bed was comfy and we enjoyed the quietness of the location.

The Red Dragon room is a super comfy, artistically appointed master bedroom with private bathroom in an artist's home.
THE ROOM: is a super comfy, artistically appointed master bedroom with private bathroom available in artist's home. House is a split level, with master bed/bathroom on it's own level, off the living room. Clean, respectful, peaceful, and luxe environment. Kitchen and laundry access, although the laundry room is a bit jumbled right now, we're slowly working on converting the garage. Queen size bed with clean linens, towels, and toiletries provided. AMENITIES: -Wifi, in-room internet (Roku) TV with PS2 player, and a movie library on site. -Close to downtown (5.5 miles away) -Close to ROT rally (4.5 miles) -Not too far from F1 raceway (16.1 miles)...will provide shuttle service for an extra fee) -Close to area parks: Pecan Springs Park (.7 miles away): Park near local elementary that features a playground and covered basketball court Bartholomew Park (.8 miles away): This 57-acre park includes disc golf, baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball court, a creek, splash pad, playground, picnic areas, and more. Muellar Lake (1.9 miles away): This park is stunning. It features 140 acres of parkland, jogging trails throughout and around a beautiful 6.5 acre lake with amphitheater, playgrounds, bathroom facilities, and a covered weekend farmer's market. -Walking distance to Troublemaker Studios, Austin Studios, local shopping, eateries, Dell Children's Hospital. -2.9 miles from Greyhound station -cap metro bus routes 20, 300 nearby -mini petting zoo in the backyard: 2 chickens (no roosters), 4 ducks, 1 pheasant, 2 iguanas, a giant tortoise, a not-so-mini pig, 2 dwarf goats, and a dog. Only the dog, and in the winter, the iguanas live indoors, and sometimes the pheasant. -creative household with artists' in-home studio and gallery. -outdoor smokers are totally fine, as long as you smoke on the front porch (animals in the backyard will eat cigarette butts). ABOUT US: We are very mellow, relatively quiet professional couple, and usually have some sort of regular schedule around productivity, eating, sleeping, and Dr. Who episodes. Personality-wise, we laugh a lot over silly things, and don't fight much, if at all. We're very happy together. I am a professional costume designer, photographer, and all around artist. Most days I work out of the home, if I'm not out on a shoot, so occasionally there is some crafting mess in the dining room, or living room. Although I try and keep things relatively neat, it's hard to be an artist without some mess. Just understand that this is not a hotel, that people live here, and use the common rooms. However, you can expect your private space to be clean and neat. Tris, my husband, works a regular 9-5ish gig in IT, for a financial company located downtown. We usually hang out in our room most evenings, either watching netflix or playing games...when the weather is nice, we get out more and go for walks with Little Dude, our dog, and Princess Buttercup and Westley, our Nigerian Dwarf goats. I've done my best to make this space feel inviting, clean, and comfortable, and it's an evolving work of art. Any suggestions for making it more so are welcome. I would like to add, that if you are allergic to animals, or are uncomfortable in a house that has animals, we would prefer that you not book our space. The dog is a year round indoor dog, and the iguanas and sometimes the pheasant are brought indoors in the winter...but they are tucked away from guests. The dog is barky with strangers, but all you have to do is love all over him, and he'll shut up. One more thing, we no longer allow photoshoots in our home.
  • I don't think my first experience with AirBNB could have been more pleasant. Jennifer and all of her critters were the most welcoming hosts. The room was full of charm and well kept. I definitely hope to revisit next time I'm in Austin. Thanks Jennifer and wish you the best of luck in 2016!

  • Miss Ayers assisted my mother and I comfortably in her wonderfully stylish home. It was quiet and the bathroom and bedroom were both made for comfort and style. They are currently renovating this place to be even more awesome and have an eclectic set of backyard animals. The stay was one that I would recommend any one trying in the Austin area.

    Angelo2013-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • What an wonderful place she has, and what a gracious host Jennifer is ! I needed a place at the last minute and she was able to help me out. Even though I wasn't there that long, I felt right at home and the room is truly unique, reflecting the artistry and attention to detail that she obviously is all about. It was a fun and memorable place, as well a nice Austin change of pace, and I'm sure if you stay there you will enjoy it too. Another great Airbnb experience.. Thank you!

  • Due to our schedules, we didn't actually have the opportunity to speak with Jennifer, but Tris was very welcoming when we arrived and made us feel right at home. He showed us where everything was and gave us a full tour of their furred, feathered and scaled family. The room was just as lovely as the photos and had everything we needed! We will definitely be coming back to stay here when our schedules bring us back to Austin!

  • I felt very welcome. My room was a treat for the eyes with everything promised in the description. There was a decanter of fresh water, music playing, and a generally welcoming atmosphere. Jennifer was a great host, giving me plenty of recommendations for local sights and places to grab great meals. She was also more than willing to introduce me to her community of animals, which was great, especially Princess Buttercup the goat, who was about as adorable as a goat can get.

  • Lisa's Eastside Bungalow is a sweet spot in Austin, convenient to everything and walkable to a few yummy restaurants/cafes/and juices galore! Her two-bedroom, one-bath home provided a great spot for a couple and one friend to retreat. The space was clean and there were plenty of towels/sheets. There is a full kitchen with tea provided, though you'll need to bring salt/pepper and any spices if you plan to cook much! Thanks for a great stay!

Extra large room with the peaceful vibe of being in the country, only 15 min from downtown or the airport. The room has a queen bed, reclaimed wood headboard, bamboo floors and great natural light. My house is on a quiet residential street surrounded by big trees, a creek and a half acre of green you can enjoy from a huge deck. (Note: I have a 2nd room and can host up to 4 for an extra charge. I rent both rooms March and Oct. during music festivals, guests share a bathroom during those months)
The room has a lot of custom touches -- I built the headboard and nightstands from reclaimed wood and took many of the photos framed on the walls. The house is clean, comfortable and open with lots of natural light. What makes it special is the location on a semi cul-de-sac street away from noise and traffic, and the towering trees that makes it feel even more secluded, especially when you head to the back deck at the end of the day. Good spot for a beer or glass of wine as the sun sets through the trees. Guests are free to park in the driveway or on the street in front of the house.
University Hills is a quiet neighborhood 7 miles from downtown with hills and big trees. It's very close to the Mueller development -- where there's shopping, restaurants (Torchy's Tacos!), coffee shops, a new grocery store and walking paths around a large pond. There's also little mom-and-pop restaurants within 5 minutes of the house specializing in Peruvian (great pisco sours!), Vietnamese, Thai and Honduran food. A few blocks away (easy walking distance) is a very good and affordable Mexican restaurant.

  • Such a cute house in a great area. Nice and close to downtown with a great backyard. The room was beautiful and Dave had everything we could possibly need already set up. He was super helpful with local restaurants and information and was great to relax and chat with. I would absolutely stay here again! Thanks so much Dave for a super fantastic weekend.

  • My boyfriend and I needed a place to stay for sxsw, we booked a room with Dave on super short notice, and he was very accommodating. He even let us stay a couple hours past normal checkout time because he knew we were tired from the day before. The place itself was very beautiful, had a feel of a very nice hotel with personal touches. The bathroom was spotless and even had amazing smelling individual packaged soaps, and this is not usually something I notice but the towels were SUPER absorbent, haha. overall I had a great stay and Dave was very welcoming and friendly, even made me some coffee. would definitely stay again. 10/10.

  • We had a very good experience with Dave. This is the place we wish to go back, to tell the truth: both my wife and I, we are not like to go to the same place twice, but Dave's home is a exception.

    Jason2016-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • Dave was a great host, he made me feel welcome by showing me my room and bathroom, the kitchen and the rest of the house and telling me I was welcome to use the kitchen as much as I wanted. He helped me download the UBER app so I could avoid the high cost of taxi rides into downtown Austin, where the conference I was attending wa being held. Dave's house is very well kept and nicely furnished - it's in a suburb of Austin and has a lovely back yard. I was satisfied with my stay at Dave's and recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a quiet suburb of Austin.

  • We had a great stay at this bright and unique space. It’s less than a 15 minute Uber to most places in the city and I loved the fact that it had a parking spot v. only street parking. The sheets were soft, the towels were fluffy, and the space was decorated with beautiful natural flower bouquets. I would highly recommend for a quick trip!

  • This is a lovely, perfect place to stay! The location is ideal, close to the river walk and tons of fantastic restaurants, cafes and bars. The home is gorgeous and super cozy and check in was extremely easy! Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Austin!

  • Very modern, new and perfectly kept up home. About two minutes to the river. Amina is easy to get in touch with should you have questions or issues. She even came over one morning at 7 a.m. within minutes of me texting her because the fire alarm battery died and I could not reach it to replace (I'm short!). The kitchen was more than adequate for me to cook some meals and entertain for nearby family. I would come back there in a heartbeat.

    Susan2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amina made us feel very welcome, and was able to accomadate early checkin and early morning check out. The location is near laundrette (New York times acclaimed restaurant) and near the river. Wonderful place!

  • Amina is the perfect host and her house is wonderful! It's quiet and clean and completely stocked with everything anyone would need! It's close to so many great places! The Launderette is one of my favorite places to eat and it's a couple of minutes away! I can't wait to travel back to Austin!

Relax in a shaded hammock, drive to nearby shopping + dining, or walk a block to the bus stop + hop on a direct line downtown!
Make yourself at home with the washer/dryer, books, records, and any other amenities! I also have storage space in the bathroom, if you need a nook for your things.
Big yards and lots of families that have lived here for decades. There's also a nearby taco joint called Ñoños which has the best breakfast tacos I've found in Austin. (Which is saying something!)
  • A nice room/house that is close to downtown. The host is nice and efficient with communication. I would recommend to stay here!

  • The cats are so sweet just like Andrea. She’s a wonderful hostess and gives you plenty of space if you want it but is also so cool and great to talk with. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend her.

  • Just what I needed. Great deal for the size, location, and quality. The home has cats, but it doesn’t seem like they go in every room, so even though I am allergic it wasn’t an issue. I’ll be back in Austin in November, and would love to stay again.

This is a cute, well appointed monthly rental in an incredible area of Austin, Texas ~ 78704!
The SoCo Itz BitZ Bungalow is a monthly rental. This adorable 650 square foot bungalow sits behind a hair salon on South 1st Street in the very popular and trendy SOCO and SOFI area of (Website hidden by Airbnb) the most desirable/hip zip code, 78704! It has been lovingly remodeled and prepared to host even the most finicky guest to the casual guest with close proximity to downtown Austin less than a 1.5 mile walk away! Nestled between Zilker Park/Barton Springs Pool, South Lamar, and South Congress, you'll find yourself in the middle of all the local attractions. In addition, there is a park (Gillis Park) located directly across the street for those of you with children, animals, and/or enjoy a walk nearby. South 1st and South Congress street are famous for their selection of incredible vintage stores so don't forgot to visit some of the best infamous and local South Austin shops like Flashback, Schatzelein, Turntable Records, Resistencia Bookstore, etc ...just a couple of blocks down from the Bungalow! There are countless cute, local bakeries and coffee shops within blocks, as well. The bungalow details: Enjoy this private bungalow with an open concept (efficiency) with a 42 inch flat screen TV including cable, WiFi internet, Sealy Posturepedic Sotherby PLUSH queen sized mattress, comforter with 100 percent cotton duvet cover (comfy and soft and not polyester!), Egyptian cotton sheets/pillows, and a knotty pine queen sleigh bed from the exquisite Wildflower Organics (one of my favorite stores on Lamar/9th). There is a comfy white cotton slip cover sofa for seating. Walk in closet provides plenty of room to hang clothes, and many shelves for storing belongings. The bathroom has a stand up shower, Bath and Body antibacterial hand soap, lotion, and shower gel. We also provide Moroccan Oil shampoo and conditioner! Shower cap, hairdryer, and comfy towels also provided (we recommend you bring beach towels for off site use). The kitchen has a brand new 4 burner gas stove, new microwave, new full size refrigerator, coffee maker, ceramic teapot, kettle, pots/pans, toaster, and blender. If you are bringing your bike(s), please feel free to leave them inside your house :) There is also a pergola/patio which is to the left of the front salon building and a bistro table/chairs on the front porch of the salon overlooking the scene on South 1st Street you're welcome to enjoy at night, as well! PARKING: There is on site parking for one guest vehicle only. We ask for you to park in the nearest spot to the back Bungalow (about 10 feet from the door - super close and convenient!) We do issue you one parking permit to be put in your vehicle dashboard overnight. If you have more than one vehicle, you are welcome to use the neighborhood free street parking one block away on Herndon Lane/South 1st Street :) PLEASE NOTE: If you are considering traveling with your pet, you must communicate this prior to making your reservation. Pets are charged an additional fee per night and, therefore, require special approval on a case by case basis. In addition, your pet must be kenneled in a crate if you plan on leaving him/her in the Bungalow unattended :) THE NEXT STEP: If you have any questions regarding my property and/or location, please take the time to check out all the links connected to this listing; maps, amenities, house rules, calender, pricing... it's all here, up to date, and accurate :) If you're interested in booking, please press the "Contact Me" link before actually booking...I'll respond quickly. In order to get an accurate rate quote, please be sure to specify the number guests visiting, as pricing may vary. After the booking process is complete and prior to your stay, I will send an informative email about Austin and the SOCO Bungalow details. ENJOY AUSTIN
  • We had such a great time at this house. Small but clean and has everything you would need for a nice stay. I really liked that there was private parking because I am moving X-country with everything I own in the car with me--wasn't a problem at all. Overall a great experience.

  • Savoy was an awesome host! Adorable place and sufficient space for me and my best friend. We were only there 2 nights, do didn't get a chance to do much, but had we had the time, the info provided regarding eats & drinks and assorted things to do would have been super helpful. I would stay again.

    Kelly2014-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience -- everything about the process went very smoothly. The welcome email was the most informative welcome email I've ever received. Paragraphs upon paragraphs of things to do and places to eat in Austin! All of it was very helpful!

  • This is a great bungalow to stay at and easy to walk to a bunch of places. The environment was well kept, and a nice selection of amenities were offered. I would definitely stay here again!

    Shane2017-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time going to Austin and trying airbnb and both were awesome! At first when we got to the bungalow, the area didn't look like much and I was bit disappointed. It's on a busy street and getting out of the parking seemed bit challenging but luckily I didn't drive and my boyfriend had no problem. I was concerned about the noise from the cars but at night the it was pretty quiet and we slept peacefully. But by next day, I realized that the location was pretty close to everything and there were tons of great restaurants/food trucks on the 1st street. There is a liquor store next door and little store at the gas station near by so that was convenient. The bungalow was clean, bright, spacious, and comfortable and the kitchen actually was bigger than I expected from the picture. I appreciate the little toiletries Sovay provided and as I read from other reviewers, shampoo is amazing. Walking during the day was too hot but by 5 or 6pm, it was nice to walk and we walked to Polvo's and even to Austin Beer Garden Brewing Company. After paying $27 on Lyft on prime time one night (75% added), we took number 10 bus for $1 to downtown which only took about 12 minutes. Coming back on Lyft from downtown on normal rate was about $8-9 bucks so getting around at night after drinking was easy. During the day we drove so it was easy to get around the town. This location is quite close to South Congress street and Lamar, all with great restaurants/bars/shops and going straight up takes you to downtown area. If you have a sweet tooth, try "Lick" ice cream and "Gordough's" fat donuts, both really close and delicious! We had so much fun in Austin and can't wait go go back. At the bungalow we had good A/C, tv, wifi, parking, kitchen and clean comfortable room to stay in. So much better deal than staying at a hotel!

    Bo2014-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • It looks out of the way on a map, but it's an easy drive to 6th street, SOCO, and Barton Springs Ave. Although the pictures are deceiving, it was fine. I wouldn't stay here again just because for the same price I could get a full home or apt in the middle of town. But the hosts are nice and the place works for a couple.

    Matthew2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable place! Super clean, every amenity you can think of (don't worry if you forgot contact lens solution or sunscreen!), and perfect location in Austin. I loved the vibe of this studio, and the (extensive) recommendations that Sovay gave were great. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here again :)

    Kimberly2014-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time in Austin! Sovay's place is adorable and so clean. She was available if you ever needed a recommendation for a good restaurant or had any questions. She also gave us a list of fun places to visit. The location was great. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

  • Exceeded expectations, never have stayed in a room. I usually rent house but Nate was affordable and close to my friends. The room / bath looked like a hotel really nice and Nate seems to have spent time to accomodate the place so it would have all that you need. In the room he even has small fridge coffee maker and even some candies!. If you are looking for an affordable nice secure place to stay i woul recommend

  • Had a great stay at Nate's house, everything was exactly as described. He had some great recommendations for around town and even got some tennis in the morning with his meet up group. Highly recommended and will try and stay again next time in Austin! Thanks Nate!

  • Let's just say I didn't want to leave Nate's...!! Nate's the kind of person you'll wish you were friends with in 'real, actual' life. He makes you feel incredibly welcome from the second you walk through the door and you won't want to leave his awesome lil doggies behind. He went above and beyond to show this idiot Brit how American washer/dryers work (it's different back home, ok...?!) and was as happy to have a normal chat in the hallway as helping you out via message. The place itself is absolutely brilliant and incredibly easy to get into the downtown area via car (I don't drive, but Uber was perfect). The house is really, reallyyyy clean and you will feel very much at home when you return at night. I spent two mornings working on a big job application and felt completely comfortable doing it from my room. That speaks volumes about the kind of environment and atmosphere Nate has created in his place. Don't hesitate to book.

    Emma2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nate's home is perfect for staying close to downtown Austin. His place is very clean and comfortable. The room felt just like staying in a hotel with a little refrigerator and coffee machine. He was more than gracious and easy to communicate with. I would definitely recommend his place as it definitely exceeded my expectations. A++

  • You'll love how convienent Julianas place is to the airport. I wasn't there very long. Just enough time to sleep and shower then head out very early to the airport. Super clean and comfy. Loved my official welcome from OB the cat

  • My husband & I stayed at Juliana's place for 3 nights and we had a fantastic experience! The house was very clean & spacious. Juliana was easy to communicate with & accommodating. The location was perfect, we never have to drive more than 20 minutes to get to where we wanted to be (bonus: SOOO much good food & drink spots less then 5 minutes away). I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.

  • Really enjoyed my visit!

    Peter2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had an excellent stay at their abode. I was comfortable, had plenty of room, and their AC kept me refreshed and cool, despite the July heat in Austin! Hosts were really sweet and it was so easy to reach them for any questions. Neighborhood is quiet and so close to everything I wanted to do in Austin. Lovely space and great coffee, too! Thanks so much! Wouldn't hesitate to book again as they made sure I had everything I needed.

  • We had such an amazing stay at Juliana and Ash's place. Their hospitality and recommendations have made our time in Austin wonderful and adventurous.

    Ming2017-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Juliana and Ash were super friendly and had great advise on the area! They're cat was cute and the fact that they had a washer came in super handy, unexpectedly. Things were a little miscommunicated on that our flight got in early and things weren't quite ready. But not a big deal for us! Times for check in/out are listed as flexible but just make sure to communicate for all possibilities in advance.

    Avery2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Clean. Organize. Quite. Nice. Modern. Loved the stay. Would stay again.

    Kevin2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ash and Juliana were great hosts. They had advice on what to do and were helpful in teaching how to get around Austin. They were accommodating for our check in/out times which allowed us to keep our luggage at their place for a large part of the check out day. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was comfy. Location wise there's not a lot going on in the local neighborhood, but short and cheap rideshares to locations over the city and the airport make it a convenient place to stay.

  • La maison est bien situé. Cependant la maison était désordonnée. Il n’y a pas de verrou sur la salle de bain qui donnait accès à ma chambre donnait également accès à celle de l’hôte. Ceci était très désagréable.

  • What a wonderful experience. Vicki is a great host. I spent some nice time in the little creek by the waterfall. The room is very comfortable and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I suffer from pretty bad insomnia which results in chronic sleep deprivation, and I got some of the best sleep in a long time at Vicki's place. There was this amazing fan in the room, and she also has a white noise machine in there. She probably thinks I'm the laziest person on the planet because I slept so much! She has a sweet little dog who is as friendly and gentle as can be. Her next-door neighbor was nice, as well. I was sad to have to leave. If you haven't used the Kevo system before, (Hidden by Airbnb) it. It is so amazingly simple, but I was too stupid to figure it out at first. Once I knew how to work it, I loved it, and now I want one for myself!

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Vikki! She was very generous with her time and belongings. Her house is very clean and as described. The room is a great size & bed was super comfy! We would definitely recommend staying with Vikki during your stay in Austin :)

    Gabrielle2016-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • I'd stay at Vikki's place again. Great space, great hostess :-)

    Shawna2017-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Vikki’s place was pleasant. The place was clean and stylish. Vikki was also nice and helpful. Great experience.

    Olu2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • The title of Vikki's listing a "comfortable bed in a nice place" is exactly how I would describe it. Although I didn't see Vikki that often due to my busy work schedule, the few interactions I did have with her were pleasant.

  • Great location and value within Central Austin. Friendly family.

  • Mary's house is beautiful and convenient. The house is in a nice neighborhood and within walking distance of many things. It is as advertised and much more. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to anyone looking.

    Ronnie2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great and the location was better. The house was so central and close to everything (Kerbey Lane, Shake Shack, Zilker Park, Barley Swine, downtown, etc.).

    Stephen2015-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Spent 3 days at Zilker House and it exceeded expectations! I had two of my kids with me and we agreed this was much better than a hotel. The location is great. We also used the kitchen (which is really nice) a lot so as not to eat out every time. Really like the hardwood floors and the remodeled house. Felt more like visiting a cabin vs. a sterile hotel. Would definitely recommend and we will be back.

    Doug2013-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s place is delightful. So easy to access all that Austin offers. Was great to come back to such a comfortable place at the end of a long day. The aircon was welcome too as it was quite humid when we were there. Many thanks Mary - we’ll be back.

    Juliet2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for our weekend stay in Austin! Super easy, smooth check-in process, communication with the host and clean, accurate listing! The location was super convenient and accurately described. We would stay here again!

    Kelly2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great bungalow, quiet neighborhood. Beds were awesome and the property was just about right for us to spend a week at work.

    Mandeep2015-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for a small family! We enjoyed Having a place so close to all the good restraunts!

    Taylor2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Zilker House was perfect for my husband, 15-month old, and me. It's very modern, clean, and comfortable, and we loved the style/decor. Even better than the pictures! It felt like home for our 7-night stay. Very child-friendly and the hosts provided crib, high chair, toys and even some organic milk! Mary was a wonderful host, responding to any requests or questions we had immediately, as well as providing great suggestions for kid playtime, restaurants, etc. We had lived in Austin previously, but were not familiar with the neighborhood. Location was great -- within walking distance to many restaurants, CVS, playground/park, and close to downtown Austin, Town Lake trail, Zilker Park, etc. A block from South Lamar, but nice and quiet. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We will be back again!

This newly remodeled apartment is the perfect getaway destination. Just blocks from downtown and Town Lake; no car is necessary! Dine-out within walking distance of great restaurants and food trucks or enjoy your fully outfitted kitchen.
This cute modern 1 bed / 1 bath apartment is in the heart of Austin surrounded by bars (Weather Up, Stay Gold), coffee shops (Cenote, Brew and Brew), Restaurants (Buffalina, The Launderette) and all of SXSW. It's the perfect location for a weekend getaway or music festival. It sleeps up to four people with one comfortable queen sized bed and an air mattress (if needed, just ask). We live on the property and would be happy to make great recommendations for your stay in Austin.
It's as close as you can get to Downtown and still have the relaxation and tree shade of a residential neighborhood. Walk out the front door, chose a direction, and you're guaranteed a good time. 5 blocks to the South, you are at the park with jogging trails and kayaking right on the water. 7 blocks to the East, and you arrive at the new and young upstart bar scene including Stay Gold for some great lounge music. 7 blocks to the North, sits the E 6th St district including Lichas Cantina and its great Taco Al Pastor. 4 blocks to the West, enjoy the bar scene that is Rainy St. with an El Jefe Loco Rita at Lucilles Patio Lounge.
  • This apartment was lovely. It was incredibly spacious, clean and impeccably designed. Deanna made it very easy for us to get into the apartment when we arrived late. We were greeted by a welcome basket and great recommendations for food and sights around the city. If anything, the pictures do not do this apartment justice - it was great!

    Sasha2015-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Deanna's place is the perfect size, private, and well located in a residential area in close proximity to downtown and great food. Although we did not meet Deanna in person, communication was excellent throughout. We only stayed a couple of days but would highly recommend this for an extended stay as the kitchen was well-equipped.

    Andrew2017-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Deanna and Jeff (and Charlie) were so welcoming and friendly. Deanna left tons of recommendations on the blackboard in the apartment and she even left out a guestbook with suggestions from past guests. The apartment is adorable: from the decor to the toiletries, we felt relaxed from the second we stepped through the door.

    Becca2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • The location was excellent, bed was comfortable, and the house had everything you would need. Only drawback was that the AC takes forever to cool down the place. We arrived a little after 4 and it was extremely uncomfortable until around midnight. At 102 in July, it would have been a nice bonus if the house had been cooled down prior to our arrival. In colder months, this would for sure not be an issue.

    Molly2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay. It was a bit further from downtown than I had originally thought but we fell in love with the neighborhood immediately and it became the best part of the trip. Plenty of things to do and eat within walking distance. The casita looked exactly like the photos! Super clean and cute.. so worth it!

    Kelsey2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancée and I had a wonderful one-night stay! The place is very comfortable, bright, clean, and the perfect amount of hip. The hosts were extremely friendly--the co-host Jeff stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed before he had to leave town the next day. We would definitely stay there again!

    Ben2017-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • I could have moved in here! Gorgeous place with an amazing bathroom and kitchen, and super central to all the good stuff in Austin. My girlfriend and I loved it and you will too!

    Matthew2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was in the perfect location! Just a short walk to excellent coffee, food, and nightlife on Rainey street. Deanna gave us plenty of recommendations and the home was tidy and stylish.

  • Angel's place is quiet, comfortable, and cute! The house is in a neighborhood about 15-20 minutes walk from a strip of bars and restaurants (safe and comfortable during the day, but it was too cold to walk home at night so I didn't get a read on how the neighborhood felt past dark). The house is a cozy 3 BR, with a nice big kitchen and fresh eggs for cooking (if you can resist tasty Austin brunch:)! The key code door made check in/out and entry a breeze. Angel gave us great suggestions and helped us plan our evenings. Overall, an easy, comfortable stay.

    Cate2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Angels place was terrific. Angel knows how to make people feel comfortable in her home. Make sure you ask her about the outside chickens for eggs in the morning and the outside shower. I will look for this place the next time I visit Austin. Airbnb Allstar!

    Kevin2018-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Angel took on our booking last minute and was happy to help us with a late check-out which we appreciated so much! Angel's place was exactly as pictured, was absolutely lovely. She was very welcoming and easy to communicate with as well. The place was just a short walk to downtown or a cheap ride-share ride. Her place is perfect for exploring the city and also for relaxing. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Angel's place to anyone travelling to Austin!

    Bek2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Angel's place was so great - and so big! We were able to come and go as we please (a huge win for us) and borrowed her bikes to get around the city. The house itself is removed enough from the main streets to feel quaint, but close enough to feel like you're in the middle of things. Angel was out of town when we arrived, so we didn't get much facetime, but she was super sweet when we checked out. Would definitely book again!

    Emily2014-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Angel was a great hostess. She made things very easy for us, including the check-in/out process and use of her bikes to explore the great neighborhood she lives in. Her house is precious and so are her chickens!

    Cassidie2015-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Angel was very accommodating for my first Airbnb booking. Though she was out of town she was always sure to get back to me right away. Her house is cozy and in a great spot to new areas in East downtown Austin and just a short User or bike ride to downtown. I had a last minute change with guest, and Angel was able to allow an extra person to stay. The only thing I learned was to make sure that my friends and I knew that another room was going to be taken by other guests one of the nights we were there, i.e. we'd have to share the bathroom. Overall, great host and good first experience.

    Monica2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Good experience. Came and went as needed and was perfect place to spend a quick weekend.

    Rita2015-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This girl is a pro! She makes it very simple and easy to enjoy your stay in austin. With my 5 1/2 yr old, i tend to spend some time at home, and angel's house and guest room were perfect for lounging and watching movies during the thunderstorms , enjoying lazy mornings making breakfast (stocked and fresh eggs a bonus if you arrive and don't get to the store) while my daughter explored the backyard and made fast friends with the hens. My daughter truly looked forward to feeding the hens our compost after breakfast and I think delta Burke quite enjoyed It as well. C She didn't want to leave and said it felt like home. Checking in and out is fast and easy- we had a car, but there is a lot to check out within walking distance in her neighborhood as well. For our first air bnb experience- I know we'll be back . :)

  • The house was perfect. Very private, separate side entrance, coffee maker, great part of Austin. Susan even offered to drive me into Austin! I'd recommend Susan's place to anyone!

    Chelsea2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Another great Airbnb experience! The apartment was very clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. The location is a very short distance from all site seeing activities and local bars. Susan is an excellent host and very quick to provide responses to any questions or accomodations my friend and I needed. I would highly recommend renting this apartment and would absolutely come back next time I visit Austin.

    Julie2013-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little place! I spent 5 nights here with a friend, and the hosts were very nice. Susan and her husband are wonderful people, and their cozy apartment was perfect for my extended stay. As a first timer on Airbnb, I definitely would recommend this for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable stay, not too far from downtown Austin. Would recommend over and over again, if only it were possible.

    Alexander2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place and location were absolutely fantastic. Susan did a great job making sure everything was coordinated and perfect, down to the smallest details.

    Chris2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Our first airbnb adventure. First of many to come. Susan and Anthony were great to answer any questions.....most before we asked. Great place to stay, so much better than a hotel IMO. Neighborhood is charming and so close to the lake and eats and what's happening. We acted like introverts and S&A "let us be". Had we wanted interaction I know they would've obliged as well. Yes....I know these things. Spotted bikes in the yard that I will hope to ride to the river next time. This was such fun to stay in Austin and have our kids come to "our place" for a change. Thanks for a great experience in a beautiful place.

  • We had a wonderful stay with Leia and Keri! The description of the house and room were exactly as the listing described. We felt very comfortable staying here and would recommend this space to anyone who needs a cozy room to stay in while visiting Austin! Leia and Keri were very friendly and made us feel right at home! We also loved playing with their little dog and cat! The neighborhood was really beautiful, clean and we felt very safe. I have nothing but positive feedback about our experience!

    Erika2014-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The room and home were just as described. The room was very comfy and the hosts welcoming. The room had a large flat screen TV, and a private bathroom very close by. Coming and going was a breeze with the door code. I did not speak with the hosts very much as I was out quite a bit, but when I did, they were both very easy going and genuine! Everything was more than I expected and very professional. I would most definitely stay there again.

    Cynthia2015-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Leia & Keri's house was perfect. Extremely clean and easy to find. it was a last minute booking so I didn't have much time to chat but everything was as expected and then some. Highly recommended if your in the Austin area.. Thanks Scott Campbell

We also brought a cooler of food which try generously let us put into their refrigerator while we're were there! Our bedroom was amazing, definitely clean along with the bathroom. Fresh stocked towels, and toiletries were our for our use! I am an Olympic fan and these ladies told me what channel and got me set up to watch them in our bedroom during our stay! They also recommended some amazing eateries and hiking trails which we check out when we were there! Pool! Can we just talk about their pool! Literally the most beautiful pool ever! Nothing like coming home from a busy day to relax in the pool! Thanks so much! We loved staying here!!!!

Located 25 mins from downtown & 30 minutes from the airport, the house is surrounded by hills and is just a short walking distance from the Austin Lake. Very peaceful and beautiful. You will have your own private room, your own bathroom, a private deck facing east. The room is on the upper level. It has a double size bed (please disregard all negative comments about the bed on some reviews. A new box spring, mattress and mattress topper was installed on Jan 1, 2018), shelves and a small closet. Please be aware the room has a skylight. The bathroom is on the main level of the house next to the living room. Towels, hair dryer (bottom drawer) and toiletries (medicine cabinet) are all available. You will share kitchen, living room, laundry room, and beautiful front porch downstairs with the owner of the house. You are free to use all the areas shown in the photos. The owner is away at her business from morning to late evening and will take care to be out of your way and afford you privacy. There are no pets in the house. Please note there is no public transportation nearby. South by Southwest (SXSW) is an Austin, Texas based company dedicated to planning conferences, trade shows, festivals and other events. SXSW first began in 1987 and is centered in the downtown Austin Convention Center. Austin City Limits (often abbreviated as ACL) is an American public television music program recorded live in Austin, Texas by Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) Public television member station KLRU, and broadcast on many PBS stations around the United States. The show helped Austin to become widely known as "Live Music Capital of the World," and is the only television show to receive the National Medal of Arts, which it was awarded in 2003. Initially created to celebrate the music of Texas—featuring western swing, Texas blues, Tejano music, progressive country, and rock n' roll—the series has gone on to feature regional, national and international artists performing a wide range of musical styles, including jazz, alternative country, alternative rock, folk music, and jam band.
The neighborhood is very quiet & woodsy with a short 2 minute walk to the lake. It is great for walks and relaxation. The nearest shopping (The Galleria) is only 5 miles away with great restaurants & shopping. Commons Ford, great for hiking trails, is only a couple of miles away. On the other side of Bee Caves, there is Village at Westlake with supermarket, shops and restaurants. County Line Barbecue and The Grove are other great restaurants near the Village at Westlake.
  • Absolutely amazing view from the patio. Owner stays in great contact with customers. Will for sure stay up at her place again next time I'm in the Austin area. Nice relaxing getaway from everything in a peaceful area.

  • Lata was friendly, professional, and accommodating. We shared dinner our first night, and she was a pleasure to talk with. We felt we had excellent privacy throughout our stay. She was flexible around check-in/check-out times, which was a big help. The pictures you see are accurate, but we would say they don't do her house justice. It is homey, neat, and completely relaxed. The deck was our favorite spot to hang out, and perfect for morning coffee. 10/10, highly recommend!

    David2014-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Lata was a wonderful host, her home was very clean and comfortable. The deck was a sweet place to sit in so much greenery.

    Brenda2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the windy mountain road up to Lata's place, where it was nestled on a hill with a deck on the second level overlooking the green Hillcountry. Just what I had in mind.

  • Lata was an AMAZING host! She was great in her communication and very respectful of our privacy. Her place was charming and is definitely a MUST for those who look for peace and quiet.

    Elizabeth2016-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Although we never got to meet Lata, our stay went smoothly. Her place was very nice.

    Jason & Tisha2014-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable cottage in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of character. Lata was a gracious host; offered good coffee in the morning and provided extra linens and pillows. Morning walk down the hill and around the lake was a perfect start to the day. Highly recommend!

  • Had a last minute trip to Austin, TX and Lata was very accomodating. As always my stay was quiet and the house and its views are amazing. We look forward to returning soon.

  • Beautiful home. Everything feels new and clean. Lots of natural light. Location is quiet but convenient. I did not get much chance to talk with the hosts, but they are friendly and responsive. A+

  • We enjoyed our stay in this place. The hosts were kind enough to let us check in late at night, and answered our questions in a timely manner. The house is new and everything is very clean. The neighborhood itself is residential and quiet but it's close enough to downtown. We wished for an entire private second floor, but only the bedroom and the bathroom are private, which is still very good.

  • Arnaud was an excellent host. We had a great conversations. I went to sleep at 6 PM and woke up at 9am having missed a night of sleep the day prior driving from New Orleans. They were very accommodating in every way. The room is fantastic, bathroom was clean the water hot, and most of all it was quiet. I highly recommend staying with them. I will be back!

  • Great house, very clean. Easy location for on and off the highway. Short Uber downtown! Would absolutely stay with them again

    Emily2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • What wonderful hosts and added bonus of Ash and Splash. The house is gorgeous and Katie and Arni ( I'm hopeless with your name) are so lovely and cute as.... I was given some great tips on shopping, areas to go too and places to see for taking pictures. The area is close to everything if you are driving. LA Fitness is a must down the road and make sure you activate a free pass. I wanted to stay for a couple more years and was hoping to find a hiding place, but the cats would find me. I will be back, I loved my hosts and my morning coffee with Arni. I miss them already and wish these two a world of happiness. The house swap I was serious about. See you next time.

  • 4 words - do not stay here! I've been a loyal AirBnB user for the past 4 years, and have not had a negative experience. The bed sheets hadn't been changed and washed, and I found stains and a few pieces of stray hairs. When I explained that this was a problem to the host, this was their response... "Hi Jason, Sorry for the dirty sheets! There are extra sheets in the laundry room in the back of the house next to your bedroom. You are more than welcome to grab a different set of sheets." Best, Autumn Nov 4, 2016 via the Airbnb Android App And this was my response... "Grab a different set of sheets? I have never been asked by an Airbnb host to change my own sheets! This is infuriating!! Autumn, thanks for your concern about my situation, it sounds like you care about doing the right thing. However, I'd like to request (i) a full refund of my 1st 2 nights here and (ii) that my room be cleaned tomorrow. Over the past 4 years that I've been a happy Airbnb guest, I have never stayed at a location where the sheets were not changed and the room not cleaned. Would you deny that a clean room is a common courtesy and a bare minimum as a host? I didn't get much sleep last night and have been traveling all day, and was hoping to relax and hit the sack early, when I stumbled on the unsightly scene - stray hairs and stains on the sheets from your previous guest! If you were in my shoes, you would be a little peeved, too right? I didn't receive your message until 12:16am and by then, I had already got in a car2go and rushed to the nearby Target store before their midnight closing to buy a new set of sheets because I was so grossed out. What do you suggest we do and how do we resolve this? I just want what is fair. Regards, Jason Nov 4, 2016" Unfortunately, the host took too long to respond, 8 hours to be exact, and by then, I was fed up. I wanted to give the host an opporunity to make things right, but they didn't even address the core issue, which was that I wanted the room to be cleaned. The host also seemed like they used a 3rd party communications company. Although I did receive a refund for the rest of my stay, I still had to pay for my 1 night stay, which in principle I shouldnt have paid for.

  • Chris & Loni's place was great! It was a great location, easy to walk to a lot of things. Definitely recommend La BBQ! The pitmaster even showed us all about the art of smoking meat! And the quickie pickie for breakfast was good too! This place is just a cheap uber away from Rainey st. and 6th st. About $5-8 each way. You could walk as well. The place is quiet, clean and easy to find parking, and the keypads are easy to use and handy! Your room has its own keypad lock. Which is great! Overall if I'm ever back in Austin I would stay here again! It's a great value in Austin!

    Kristin2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place, nice location, close to downtown. We enjoyed our short stay and will look for it the next time we are in town. We do think that the shower could use a little more attention. The rug outside of the shower was a little soiled and stained. But all in all we felt very comfortable.

Master bedroom converted into a private suite located 5.5 miles from downtown and 10.5 miles from the airport. This room with its separate entrance includes a bathroom with shower, fridge and microwave, dinette, and comfortable medium firm queen bed.
Forrest and I created a bright, clean space we feel is perfect for a budget friendly getaway. We provide coffee with an easy to use Clever cup and electric kettle. The entrance to this private bedroom is located through the backyard on the back of the house. Forrest and I have two dogs and a cat. If meeting dogs outside is not something you are into, please let us know. They will be indoors at all times when we're at work, and outside quite a bit when we're home. You'll find our street is pretty quiet. Our neighborhood is not in a touristy part of town, so you will want to plan out your transportation before arriving. *Rates subject to change during festival seasons.
Windsor Park is home to Bartholomew Park, where you can play the disc golf course or take a dip in the pool year around! This is a family friendly neighborhood. There's a lot to do and eat in this area alone, we're not too far to many other great offerings in the city. Please reach out if you've got any questions you may have about our neighborhood.
  • The description of the studio was very accurate. It was very clean and everything was easy to find. The instructions for locking up and checking in and out were all easy to follow. The neighborhood was cute and quite and we liked sitting outside on the patio.

    Phoebe2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is cozy comfortable. We have everything we need in the room. The privacy is good as what host describe on the post. I would highly recommend this place.

    Yuchih2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! Where to begin? Let's start with the fact that Lizzie and Forrest are incredible hosts!!! A friend and I had planned to come down for festival weekend, then the Hurricane decided to come with too. Harvey brought a bunch of annoying, windy rain that ultimately wound up knocking our power out. During this time, Forrest & Lizzie gave us an extra charging battery for our phones and even offered an extra nights stay because of it. How sincerely THOUGHTFUL!! I mean, I would honestly rate 100 stars on hospitality alone if it were an option. Not to mention how happy we were just to have been in such a clean, neat, organized, well planned out space during the storms. If you are looking for a nice, safe space PLEASE stay here. You will love every minute of it!! Thanks again to some new Austin friends. We shall be seeing you soon!!

    Madison2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lizzie and Forrest have created a virtually perfect space. All amenities you could possibly need are readily available, and most importantly, the space was immaculate. If you're inclined to go downtown, keep the car parked and use RideAustin (no uber). It's about a 15 minute ride (depending on traffic) and sets you back around 12 bucks.

    Scott2016-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • I put on my page that I love popcorn and they had some waiting for us in our room when we got there! We checked in really late which was not as issue at all - we met them the next day walking their dogs and they were very nice! Definitely recommend this AirBnB to others!

    Jess And Steven2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely place! Just like it is in the picture but even more cozy and comfortable. Definitely the perfect place to stay. Even though it is connected to the house, it is a nice isolated space with everything you need!

Hey, my place is close to Austin Downtown and the Airport. The suite includes two bedrooms, a bathroom, the living room and the kitchen with the high-ceiling throughout. It has a private entrance from the front door. Newly renovated hardwood flooring in the bedrooms which furnished with two queen size beds and a full size futon in the living area. The kitchen is fully equipped with washer & dryer. You’ll love my place because of the neighborhood, the comfy environment and the location.
I am going to live in the room attached to the house but with a separate entrance into the side yard. My cat will stay in my room during your stay because my room's door never opens to your suite.
The neighborhood is safe and quiet. Newer community.

  • Had an overall wonderful experience staying at this home! Great location and it was well furnished and decorated. Host was even awesome enough to move a full size crib and assemble it for us to accommodate our baby. Only slight problem was it was a little on the dirty side- floors and shower could definitely use cleaning.

  • We (two couples) enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Jason's place, we were in town for a wedding. We were a short walk away from Barton Springs, rented bikes one day and cruised around all over the place. The apartment was exactly what we needed, no more, no less. Communication was easy, we could let ourselves in out our convenience. We didn't have a car, but used Fasten for longer journeys. See you next time!

    Teresa2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was comfy and quiet, down the street from the park. Living room furniture is not the same as the photos (if that's important to you). Communication was easy and clear.

  • We have an excellent time in Austin at the air bnb. He emailed me prior and gave great instructions on where to locate the key, towels, clean-up, etc. I also had multiple questions for him and he responded in a timely manner. Parking was great and very open. The location is awesome! You are steps from Zilker Park and Barton Springs. We could not have asked for a better location! The air bnb was nice and clean. Overall great experience!
