Tapas Restaurant

“Flauta is a typical sandwich stuffed with different things depending on what you want, that's the reason for the name but this restaurant also has good tapas and the price is low, it is very busy so it is advisable to arrive with enough time to wait! But a good choice if you like to eat typical Spanish Tapas!”

“Inspired by moody Japanese Izakayas (taverns), this is the little sister shop of much beloved Miu round the corner. The aesthetic is chic and contemporary with plenty of Japanese flair, and their menu del día represents the best value sushi in the city (it’s so wallet friendly, you’ll be attacking the maki thrice weekly in no time).”

Beer Bar
$$$
“Best bar in Spain for the third consecutive year according to RateBeer. Its opening in 2013 revolutionized the bar scene with 30 taps serving exclusive international beers and the best selection of national ones, turning the Eixample district—aka Beerxample—into the city’s brewing epicenter. In addition to the classic burgers and the original bravas, BierCab’s gastronomic offerings include an interesting variety of ceviches and anticuchos. Anyway, if you’re not very knowledgeable about the food here, let Manolo Baltasar, one of the owners, guide you. You won’t regret it!”

“Life is too short to eat bad sushi. Run by the experienced Sebastián Sakrosky, this casual Japanese tavern has only two tables and a bar. The space is warm, has good music, and is dimly lit, making it a great dinner spot for couples. At night the menu becomes a dream for sushi lovers. At lunchtime, Sebastián serves delicious bento boxes. The slow-cooked pork-cheek dumplings and the bun bao are perfect beginnings for your sushi and nigiri feast. Ask for their curated selection of sake, too, it’s worth a sip.”
