Parc
“Bastrop State park is a great place for a hike and a good reason to head to the beautiful city of Bastrop. A large portion of the park burned in 2011. It is great to hike through the young trees and enjoy some great views and historical park buildings. Make sure to have sturdy shoes and water! You might want to grab lunch at Neighbors after your hike. The view of the Colorado river is fantastic. The food is great too!”

“Best steak for miles around, it is a special occasion place for us and we go several times a year. The food is mostly predictably good, the service is lacking but they try, kind of! Out in the country you just can't expect to be treated as if you were paying their salary.....LOL”

Boulangerie
“This vegan/veggie friendly bakery has tasty sweets and savory lunch dishes too! Their homemade ice cream and popsicles hit the spot on hot days and the spacious indoor seating is perfect place to grab a coffee or tea and get some work done. Take home a bag of pretzel bread perfect for sandwiches, toast, or just eating out of the bag - you won't regret it.”
