Really great location with all major supermarkets near by and all tourist destinations are easily accessible. A total gem for a weekend break. Thank you Tony for your amazing hospitality

  • Lovely cottage 10mins from Bath city centre. We couldn't have been happier than staying here. The cottage is a great size, very comfortable with underfloor heating and well equipped for those who want to cook for themselves. Tony was a great communicator throughout and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!

  • Tony is a great host, he replies very fast and provides all the information you need. The Marina Cottage is a lovely new place tastefully decorated with everything you need, including a coffee plunger and a dishwasher! We also really appreciated the possibility of parking, so we could leave the car there and go to the city center by bus. We're very happy with the choice we made and definitely recommend renting the Marina Cottage for your stay in Bath.

    Nina2015-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Tony's place. The apartment is modern with all the amenities that we needed for our stay. It is in a nice neighborhood too and is not too far from the city center which is convenient. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there and would highly recommend the place.

    Samarth2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovey two night stay. Accommodation had everything we needed and was clean and modern. Tony, the host, was very helpful. Would stay there again in the future.

  • Tony was a great host and we really loved the apartment. It is everything it appears in the photos & more. Would highly recommend!

    Michelle2015-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tony's place is a very comfortable and convenient apartment. 2 minute walk to the bus stop and 15 minute ride (with views) into central bath. The accomodation is spotless, roomy and well equipped. Would definitely stay again.

  • 5/5 property. The host was lovely and friendly, the apartment was so spacious and for the price was amazing value. Easy to get to via transport, but also only a 40 minute walk from town centre . Will certainly be re-visiting

A rare opportunity to stay in a huge first floor period apartment in one of England's most beautiful cities. Beautifully restored by us and with easy access to the city centre and countryside beyond. Free on-street parking and a space saved for you on request.
The location: The apartment is extremely well located for visitors wanting to explore the historic city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. The centre of Bath is just a 15 minute level walk via the artisan quarter of Walcot Street or the Paragon. The apartment also benefits from easy access to the stunning Kennet and Avon canal, river and countryside which can be explored via a meadow at the rear of the apartment. Locally there are a number of great gastro pubs including our favourite the award winning King William (Bath best gastro pub) and One Beaufort. Morrison's supermarket is just down the road. We provide our own Map of Bath with all our favourite places to eat and drink. The apartment: Occupying the whole first floor of a listed Georgian build dating back to 1750 the apartment is extremely spacious and has been newly restored in a sympathetic period manner with contemporary detailing that respect the grade 2 listed status of the building. The apartment benefits from a huge living room with three large bay windows looking out over the Avon valley with views of central bath one side and the countryside the other. The semi circular balcony offer stunning panoramic view of bath and the surrounding countryside, and makes an ideal place for sundowners on a summers evening. The kitchen is located on one side of the living room and is fully equipped with everything you need to cook up a feast when you tire of the many fantastic cafes, bars and restaurants in Bath. A separate king bedroom and newly refurbished shower room is located off the central hallway. We will provide you with all you need for a comfortable stay including, Led TV with apple TV and Netflix, wireless broadband, Stereo with iPod dock, and of course Egyptian cotton bedding and towels. The apartment is self-catering but to help you get settled in we provide some home-made bread, cereals and a selection of teas, coffee, milk, butter and jams.
Places to eat and drink: We have created a map with our very own top ten favourite places to eat, drink and hangout in the centre of Bath. If you don’t have enough energy for town, we recommend our local pub the King William on London Road for drinks and award winning food. Your other local choice is The Beaufort (other direction along London Road) which also serves food and drinks. Local amenities: Morrison’s supermarket and 24 hour cash machine is a 2 minute walk down London Road towards town (turn left outside the apartment). There is also a petrol garage / convenience store further down London Road on the right. Larkhall: (a ‘village’ centre in Bath) containing among other things, two convenience stores (McColl’s and Co-op), a butchers, greengrocers, deli, pub and even a theatre, is just a 5 minute walk away (turn right outside the apartment, cross the road, take the second left up St Saviour’s Road and keep going until you reach Larkhall). Things to see and do: There are loads of things to keep you occupied during your time in Bath; historic sites, buildings, parks and monuments, museums, art galleries, theatres, shops, afternoon tea, walks, boating, bike riding, day trips to Stonehenge, Avebury and the Cotswolds and of course, the Thermae Bath Spa. We have provided some travel books and leaflets to inspire you but if you would like any more information about activities available in Bath the tourist information centre near Bath Abbey is very helpful. Alternatively, if you would like some personal recommendations from us, please feel free to give us a ring (contact details below). If you want to get out of the city and explore the surrounding countryside, the Kennet and Avon canal can be explored via the meadow at the rear of the apartment. To reach the canal, turn left outside the front door, take the first left through a gap in the houses to reach the meadow, walk diagonally left across the field, cross the river, go under the railway and up the slope to the canal. When you get to the canal we recommend walking in the direction towards Bradford on Avon (so the canal will be on your right hand side). After about 1.5 miles you reach a pub called The George. Taxi: If your feet get tired we recommend the local taxi firm ‘V cars’ (phone number hidden)).
  • We had a lovely, relaxing weekend. The apartment was a pleasant stroll away from the central attractions. The apartment is well set up, clean and offers great views from the rear of the property.

    colin2015-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Certainly did not disappoint, the apartment is beautiful, the main room is simply wonderful with its massive floor to ceiling windows facing the hills surrounding, a brilliant space in which to unwind and feel a million miles away, but in reality a £5 taxi ride to the centre of town. The king William pub was great for dinner and we can recommend the cowshed for lunch! This is the 2nd time my wife and I have been to bath and this classic city never disappoints and a trip to the therma spa is well worth it. Daniel was easy to communicate with and was there on our arrival with a warm welcome, other than that we only by chance bumped in to him and his georgeous puppy at the local pub. Thanks for a lovely break and we heartily recommend this apartment and a trip to Bath in general. Xxx

    Christopher2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel welcomed us to this lovely apartment which is around 20 mins walk from the centre of Bath. Everything was as nice as described and we had everything we needed in the apartment to ensure a great break. Parking could have been s little difficult but Daniel had kindly reserved a space for us right outside the apartment. I would highly recommend a stay here. We would lovd to visit again.

    Susan2015-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment, very well designed. We had a very comfortable couple of nights. The only downside being we didn't book for longer. Daniel was very helpful in meeting us and offering recommendations for eateries etc during our stay. Would highly recommend to others.

    Kathryn2016-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here in November 2014 for 3 nights, the apartment is beautiful, just like the pictures, with the huge windows really bathing the place when the sun pops out! An easy 15 mins stroll into town, where we went to the spa, and also had a nice day shopping, surprised at how many great shops there are here! Was such a nice place to come back to after a day out, very homely, and infinitely better than a hotel room, and in my opinion much better value! Little touches like the bath guide and map, and freshly baked bread, made it all extra special.. Would recommend, and if we come back to bath anytime soon, I'll be looking this place up again!

    Paul2014-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment!! Amazing scenery and location. Exactly what we need and a nice Short walk into Bath centre. Would definitely recommend Daniel and Anna and their beautiful home

    Robert2017-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel met us outside the apartment, having saved a parking space. He was very welcoming and showed us the apartment, which is just as shown and described on Airbnb. A spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable space. It has been well appointed with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The parking can be a bit sticky, however, we decided to make use of the frequent bus service no.13, which gets you into the city in a few stops. We had a delightful time and found Daniel and Anna's written recommendations of restaurants and sights to visit particularly helpful.

    Priscilla2016-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fantastic weekend away topped off by the beautiful apartment in a brilliant location. Daniel and Anna were perfect hosts, from letting me send them something to be in the apartment as a surprise for the other guests ahead of our arrival to holding a parking space and meeting us and the inspired scrabble board with fresh bread and jams for breakfast. I really could not fault them in any way - thank you so much for having us and I look forward to staying again!

My place is "Very Bristol!"Brilliantly designed, great sense of spaciousness and lightness. The quirky loft space is like sleeping in your own personal tower and the sense of height is enhanced when you exit onto the roof terrace. Friendly area.
My home is the top flat of the top house at the top of the steepest residential street in England, reputedly! In the flat and on the roof terrace the views of Bristol and beyond are immense. The sleeping area is a perfect, small loft full of white linen with a beautiful, bright, light sky view and with a spot to store your everyday things, and space downstairs to store larger items. You will have private access to the roof from your space and I can recommend it for morning coffee, lunch and evening drinks! And any smokers are welcome to indulge whilst admiring the view. The living area downstairs is an open plan kitchen, table and lounge - all with light and bright views of Bristol. And the shared, spacious bathroom includes toilet and a shower over free standing bath. The style of the apartment is vintage beach hut with vertigo inducing views! You can walk (12mins) from the train station and into town it takes 20 minutes, or a quick bus ride down the hill.Just around the corner is Arnos Vale, a 50 acre cemetery, which is lovely for a walk, is vibrant and full of wildlife or a guided walk. There is an excellent cafe, Moroccan restaurant and local amenities close by and Totterdown is a very friendly and picturesque neighrbourhood. The first Bristol Arts Trail was started in Totterdown so the area is very creative and vibrant. My local, The Oxford, is a brilliant local music venue which it combines with knitting, darts and poker nights! My other local is The Shakespeare, which has great live music and quiz nights. My other, other, local is The Star and Dove, famous for its 15th-18th century menu, extensive wine list and its scotch eggs. Its next to the brilliant Victoria park, so combining the two makes for a great evening. Included in your stay is towels, fresh linen, tea, coffee, basic breakfast, wireless internet and easy parking. If you wish to use the kitchen, let me know and I will show you the ropes and for those staying for longer there is cupboard space for supplies. Well behaved dogs are welcome. My son is also here from time to time. As a relative newcomer to Bristol I can pass on tips of places and areas that will delight. I love travelling and look forward to vicariously doing that by you visiting! Its super easy to walk to the train station and catch a bus to the airport in an hour, then you can go anywhere! The bus stop at the bottom of the stairs will get you into town v quick. The high location and bespoke interior decor really make this space a classic bnb experience!
Bristol is amazing, there is so much to experience and enjoy! Totterdown is a brilliant mix of, 3 of the best pubs and places to eat, green spaces and quiet but walkable distance into Bristol central life. I love getting the ferry from Temple Meads to the SS Great Britain and then wandering round town. Stokes Croft for grafitti, Gloucester Road for veg and vintage, Park Street for cafes and the Harbourside for people watching. The Tobacco Factory and The Old Vic theatres have excellent original plays while The Hippodrome attracts major London shows-loved Cats! Normally, there are festivals, celebrations, free music and very friendly people who love to chat. And of course, there's cider and circus!

    Laurence2016-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • A great attic with panoramic views.

    Diana2017-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful house with stunning views. Helen and her partner were really relaxed hosts and were really great fun. I would strongly recommend staying with them.

    Ed2013-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Helen was very kind and was awake despite of my late arrival. The loft space with the terrace is great, all the apartment was clean and very nicely decorated.

    Alena2014-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Helen's place was great! The view in the morning particularly spectacular. Helen made us feel very comfortable and welcome and the little attic nook was just what we were looking for.

    Cailin2016-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Helen was friendly, responsive and helpful and made the whole booking and arriving very easy. the room is very small, the mattress fills the whole space. Given that, it was a clean, comfortable and great views over Bristol. Thank you

    Susannah2015-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Helen was a fantastic host with a lovely home. The views from the roof were even better than expected (and we had very high hopes from seeing the pictures in advance) and the bedroom space was great. Helen gave us the space to get on by ourselves but was more than happy to give us advice about the surrounding area when asked. The property was well situated close to the town and easily-accessible transport links meant that we even managed to visit the city's rural surroundings during our short stay. Couldn't recommend more.

  • T'he Gardem Room was a lovely place to stay over for those days in Bath. Jane and Tony were awesome and respectful hosts. Otherwise I recommend to have car to move around.

    Marina2014-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tony and Jane made us feel very welcome, and were very understanding about our late arrival due to traffic. The Garden Room was extremely comfortable and nicely furnished, and Tony and Jane had kindly left us breakfast foods which we made full use of! We walked into the village and caught the bus to Bath, which was very convenient and easy. We'd definitely stay again.

A peaceful and private room within an indoor courtyard (atrium), all set in a self built Eco house, surrounded by woods, scrap, art and artists, workshops, walks, etc...if you are in need of creative inspiration or encouragement , or you just want a quiet couple of nights in the country.. That's us!! 10 miles from Bath and Bristol. Close to Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge.
What makes it unique ? Well, what doesn't!! First of all I would suggest reading some of our reviews. We are very proud to have over 600 reviews across our 3 listings, and you won’t find many that are unhappy :-). There are probably not many places like this (in England at least)... It's more like a West Coast USA house as seen in Lloyd Khans amazing books (look him up). This is our own self-built eco house set in 5 or 6 acres of its own land. The house itself is in a private area, but within the grounds of the property there are many other spaces including a therapy suite ( you can book separately for massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy etc) , workshops for metal and woodwork, recording and rehearsal studio, a part time vegan cafe, a huge and eclectic collection of obscure artefacts from aeroplanes to gypsy caravans, and anything in between!! It is also home to upwards of 20 other people who are engaged in work with circus/ festivals and events management. There is an early stage forest garden , solar hot water and electric and more being added daily. There is always something new at Rockaway! If you're looking for somewhere fastidiously neat and tidy or you're scared of spiders it's probably not for you , but if you like what you see, we'd love to have you here ....,( although of course we do our best to keep it neat and tidy, I am just trying to put off over- fussy guests :-) We like to think we understand the ethos of Airbnb and the desire to change the world for the better by encouraging conversation and the sharing of ideas. We have found the whole experience to be thoroughly rewarding and we hope you will too. Please note we have another (cheaper) room available in the house, with two single beds and a shared toilet, and also an apartment that can sleep 4 comfortably. We are able to accommodate extra people, so if you're traveling with kids or friends and think our listed rooms are too small to fit all of you, please enquire. Look forward to meeting you. Mark and Marta
The house is set in approx 6-7 acres of land part of which used to be a scrapyard and some of which we still run as such. There are woods and great walks very close by and good bus connections for Bristol, Bath, Wells and Glastonbury. We are about half a mile from the village of Temple Cloud in a secluded, redundant stone quarry. There are mature oak trees all around the house and the site. We still run a van dismantling business from the adjacent yard and help out from time to time with artistic projects involving scrap, including photography, film and video projects. If you're looking for inspiration or looking to meet people to help further your ideas and plans , we may be able to point you in the right direction or hook you up with the right people... I'm hoping that the B and B will just help to make further and far reaching connections and not just be a soulless interaction... Of course though we are just as happy for people to come and just chill. Tourist attractions in the area include: Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury Tor, Roman Baths, Wells Cathedral, Wooky Hole Caves, Bristol city and all it's attractions from amazing graffiti art to Brunel's architectural achievements.

Merci

    Jeremie2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a magical place! We visited Rockaway to check out the surrounding area but ended up never leaving the site as there was so much to explore around the house, garden and amazing yard out back. Marta was an excellent host and made us feel incredibly welcome. We will definitely be coming back again!

    Seth2016-03-16T00:00:00Z
Wonderful location, Marta and Mark are super, if you want to live inside an artistic house this is the right place to evolve your creativity, and be creative!!!! ;-)

    leonardo2015-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stopping at Rockaway was a fantastic experience. Marta and Mark made us feel welcome and were extremely friendly and helpful. Their house is amazing, unique and a wonderful place to stop and relax. The house is situated in a fantastic part of the country, with beautiful views of the countryside. It is also very convenient with only a short journey to Bath, Bristol and Glastonbury. This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay. 10/10

  • Brenda was lovely and very speedy at getting back to me any time I had a question. The studio is lovely, tidy, very clean and close to the center of Bath. We had a lovely stay and will be telling our friends to go and stay here.

  • We had a great time in Bath at Brenda's place. The flat is as cosy and comfortable as you can see it on the pictures. We arrived very late on the first day. Brenda's friend was there to welcome us and show everything in the flat. We found everything in the kitchen to have a proper breakfast on the next morning. It was really nice. During our stay, Brenda answered very quickly to all our questions and was very helpful at any moment. We really enjoyed the decoration and comfort so typically english of the flat. It is in a walking distance of all the interesting places in Bath. We also enjoyed local typical pubs in the neighbourhood! Being at Brenda's place was like being in a very beautiful suite in an authentic english hotel with more freedom for independent people like us and at such a better price! We had a wonderful time in Bath to start this new year. Thanks so much Brenda!

  • Me and my partner were looking for a relaxing weekend away, this location was perfect for it. Brenda made us feel welcome and the room was only a short walk from the center of town. The room itself was gorgeous and very comfortable. We would both highly recommend this room to anyone staying in Bath. Brenda provided us with biscuits and jam! A wonderful touch.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful flat. Brenda was so welcoming and friendly and gave us all the information we might need. Communications were great and the flat is lovely. Amazing to have a patio space and the bed was very comfortable. The location couldn't be better as it's only a short walk to the very centre of Bath. We would highly recommend staying here and would certainly do so ourselves if we're lucky enough to get back Bath.

  • The apartment is a lovely mixture of comfort and luxury. It's so appropriate for Bath that it has a Regency feel and an elegant aspect. It looks out across rather busy Bathgate Road to a rare stretch of green; and at the back is a small terrace overlooking peaceful gardens. It's a good quality conversion, with a nice, airy kitchen, an excellent bathroom, and a huge, light main room. The bed-in-a-cupboard is a surprise, but perfectly comfortable. Plenty of cupboard space and hangers, plenty of kitchenware. We were very comfortable. Even the parking was easy. What's more, Brenda is absolutely a lovely person. This was a complete treat.

Little Orchard is a beautiful Bath stone building which was once the potting sheds and outbuildings for The Orchard. It is a large airy space with a huge cosy bed, woodburner, bath and kitchen area. A perfect retreat 20 minutes from Bath! There are no hidden service charges or cleaning fees with this listing - the price is as listed £80 Sunday to Thursday and £90 Friday or Saturday.
The Space Little Orchard was converted from what were originally gardeners' potting sheds and outbuildings. It is separate from our house, across our gravelled driveway. It has changed greatly over 200 years and is now a large airy barn style room with a separate bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a small kitchen area with breakfast bar, sink, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and all you need to make breakfast or simple meals. There is also an electric one ring hotplate for crispy bacon or fried eggs! ***Please note there is no oven******If you would like a welcome pack we can provide cereal, croissants, juice and other breakfast basics for two people at an additional cost of £10. In the main room there is a zip and link super king-sized bed which can be split into two singles. We have a travel cot for small visitors, and can provide fold up beds for small children although floor space is quite limited. The space is not really suitable for 3 adults unless you are all very friendly! We have just installed a lovely woodburner, and will provide logs and kindling. Little Orchard has its own entrance and off road parking space so you can come and go as you wish. There is an outdoor seating area for al fresco breakfasts, and a rustic seat outside the front door. There is a television, DVD player and wi-fi. There is also a bookcase full of books for cosy evenings by the fire. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided. I also provide tea, coffee, and milk. There are two fitted thermostatically controlled electric convector heaters in the main room, a fan heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom and the woodburner. I have just fitted lovely new white blinds which help with a longer lie-in in the mornings! NB You can book for one night apart from Fridays and Saturdays when there is a 2 night minimum stay.
The Neighbourhood Little Orchard is set in lovely countryside but within easy reach of a multitude of attractions. You will wake up to the birds singing, and we are situated in a Conservation Area. Bathford is built on Roman remains, it is known as 'the walled village', and in the woods at the top of the lane you can find the remains of the stone quarries that supplied Bath with its beautiful stone. There are some lovely walks from the cottage, and lots of pubs and cafes to visit. One of our favourites is the Mill at Bathampton, by the river. You can get a boat from here into Bath as well. Check the Pulteney Princess for times and cost. There are two pubs in the village - one at the bottom - the Crown Inn - and one at the top. The village shop is open 7 days a week and is a co-operative run by people who live in the village. It has a cafe, and stocks a good range of basics as well as fresh bread and croissants and local produce. The cafe does a mean fried breakfast on a Saturday! There are two golf courses within 3 miles - Kingsdown Golf Club and Cumberwell Golf Club. You can walk down into the valley and in half an hour you will be walking on the Kennet and Avon canal at Bathampton. On most weekends and during the week in school holidays there is a lovely canal boat which serves cakes, sandwiches and coffee, or you can walk or cycle along to the Dundas Aqueduct at Limpley Stoke and hire a boat. You can also hire old 1920's and 30's restored wooden rowing boats and punts at Bathampton Mill and at the Bath Boathouse. There are also two lovely pubs in Bathampton - The Mill on the river and The George on the canal. We are just outside Bath to the East with views from the village of Little Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel lives near here and it was where he wrote his famous song! In Bath you are spoilt for choice with the Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Royal Crescent, the Circus, loads of theatres and restaurants, Bath rugby, Thermae spa - (a rooftop pool experience not to miss, especially at night) Christmas street market, gorgeous Georgian architecture. There are festivals all year round including the famous Mozartfest in November, the literature festival, Jane Austen festival and food festivals. The Music Festival is in May, the Christmas Market around the Abbey in November/December and too many others to mention. Shopping is a joy as there are lots of independent shops and Bath is a very self-contained city. You can also explore the surrounding area into Wiltshire and Somerset. Stonehenge is an easy day trip as are Wells, Salisbury, Tetbury and the Cotswolds and Bristol. The Hauser and Wirth gallery in Bruton with its famous Piet Oudulf garden is about 40 minutes away, and has a great restaurant and exhibitions. National Trust properties in the area include Stourhead, Dyrham Park, Lacock ( Harry Potter filmed here as well as lots of period dramas such as Cranford), Prior Park Gardens , The Courts at Holt, Great Chalfield Manor (some of Wolf Hall was filmed here), and Tyntesfield near Bristol. There are some great restaurants and lots of my guests go out to The Pig at Hunstrete which is just West of the Bath on the way to the Chew Valley Lakes. There is also the Michelin starred Pony and Trap in Chew Magna run by Josh and Holly Eggleton. In Bath we have the famous Bertinet bakery, Richard Bertinet runs a cookery school here and has a couple of cafes selling his amazing bread and cakes. A great veggie option is Acorn Kitchen for dinner, or the Green Rocket cafe for breakfast or lunch, also Chapel Arts who do lovely homemade flatbreads. If you are vegan try Beyond the Kale in Green Park Station, open during the daytime only. Corkage in Walcot Street, as recommended by Jay Rayner!, is a lovely wine bar with daily changing tapas plates. For a curry try the Eastern Eye in an amazing Georgian building, and for Thai, Koh Thai Tapas in Broad Street. The best Italian in Bath is the family run Martini on George Street. There are loads of independent cafes, my favourites are Society Cafe in Kingsmead Square, and Hunter and Son in Shires Yard which also opens in the evening and sells food and craft beer too. I also love The Blue Quail deli on Pulteney Bridge, lots of lovely South African food and cakes. There are a couple of old Bath pubs you shouldn't miss. The Old Green Tree in Green Street, wood panelled and very cosy, The Star on The Paragon, no food just great beer, and The Bell on Walcot Street, bought by locals to save it from closing and a great live music venue. In Batheaston there is Gather - open Tuesday to Saturday, mostly vegetarian with lots of gluten free and great coffee and breakfasts/lunches. If you like cocktails you have to go to the Gin Bar, and The Dark Horse in Kingsmead Square. We have great theatres from the old and venerable Theatre Royal, to smaller places like the Rondo in Larkhall and The Mission Theatre. The best cinema is the Little Theatre by the Spa, there is a little bar and it has great atmosphere. On a weekend head to Green Park Station for the food market on Saturday mornings, and various vintage and antiques markets on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • This was an idyllic English countryside experience; Karen made us feel right at home with welcome brownies and a thoughtful bottle of wine. The room is spacious and airy; it is equipped with essentials including additional duvets and pillows. We stayed in and made a full English breakfast (with the use of a more than adequate hot-plate!) which we enjoyed in the pleasant and sunny drive way at the outside table. Bathford is worth exploring and it is a scenic ten minute drive to Bath - which can be explored on foot in one day. Definitely try the Muddy Duck restaurant with a quintessentially English backdrop and sensational food. Karen made a very good recommendation!

  • My boyfriend and I just spent a lovely couple of nights in Bathford. Karen greeted us on arrival and we were made to feel very welcome. The place is beautiful and really close to Bath and Bradford-on-Avon, where you can go canoeing. The location is very calm and everything is the accommodation is comfortable and homely. We would highly recommend! (Plus, Karen's brownies are AMAZING!)

  • Our three days at Little Orchard were great Karen was there to greet us just as we arrived, and so was her friendly cat. Karen gave us lots of helpful advice re:Places to eat, nice places to visit and how the busses run.Parking isn't easy in Bath,so we went by bus and it was so easy. Our accommodation was fantastic.Everything you could want, except coasters we are used to using for drinks, and she brought us some the next day All in all a great time was had by us. Thank you Karen

  • We had a great stay. Karen was very friendly and welcoming. Little Orchard is spacious and very tastefully decorated and has everything you need. The log burner created a lovely cosy atmosphere and the "treats" left by Karen were an added bonus. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding good quality. Sadly, we only had 1 night here, but hope to return soon!

Luxury double bedroom in a Grade 2 listed traditional Georgian architecture building situated in the centre of Bath. All of the UNESCO attractions such as the Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, Circus, Bath Abbey and the cities best restaurants, bars, shops and cafe's are all a stone throw away. I have been a Bath resident for 10 years. If you have any questions about tours, attractions, restaurants and bars or would like to know about hidden secret gems only known by the locals then please ask :)
Bath's a very beautiful city. As it is a UNESCO world heritage site the architecture is absolutely stunning. For a small city it is very lively with lots to do. You're going to want to stay for longer once you have visited.

It is located in the heart of the best tourist part of Bath - reachable on foot, less than 10 min to many trendy restaurants/cafes/gastro pubs/landmarks. • There is absolutely nothing to fault about John's flat, we had a wonderful stay. The pictures are very accurate, maybe even don't do it justice! From the location down to the fixtures, you really couldn't ask for more for a stay in Bath. The city centre is at the end of the road, but the stay in this historic neighbourhood is so quiet you'd never know it. I can't recommend this place enough, & John was an excellent host.

    Siobhan2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you John for making yourself available to let us in the apartment as well as taking time to have a brief chat of where to go etc. Then we were left alone but always knowing that should there be any issues, he was close at hand. It was a nice touch to have a few things in the fridge on arrival, including juice and croissants! The apartment was in a great location and beautifully decorated. Absolute bonus to have easy parking space. The folder with info regarding Bath was very helpful also.

    Jennifer2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend staying here! John's place is located on a beautiful street and is decorated elegantly, having both modern conveniences and retaining the old charm of the building. Even more lovely than the pictures. Great location for shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom is really spectacular...amazing big tub, beautiful lighting...I think even if I lived in the area I would want to book a few nights here to enjoy this luxurious bathroom.

    Andrew2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • John is very responsive and his place is even better than the picture!! Love the special bathroom hahaha and the location is perfect. Just minutes to the very central place- the Roman spa, the church and the shopping place- Bath is a very exquisite town indeed. And John provided bread milk and orange juice as welcome pack which was very nice. And it is perfect for 2-4 people stay. Will definitely stay here if in Bath again.

    Xiaoyan2017-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in Bath, the flat was a perfect location no more than a 10 minute walk to a variety of restaurants and shops. 5 min walk to the bridge. Host was great - check in made simple and our fridge was even stocked up with some nice breakfast items! Very homely flat with an amazing bathroom! Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Apartment is recently refurbished with large rooms, high ceilings and equipped with modern conveniences. Basic price is for 2 people sharing kingsized bed.
The location is so central, with tour buses a few seconds walk from the doorstep. There is a king sized bed in the bedroom and a comfortable double sofa bed in the large living room. Apartment self contained within beautiful Georgian Townhouse. Restaurants and tea rooms right on your doorstep including Sally Lunn's 10 metres away! Although right in the heart of the city, it is a relatively quiet location. Basic price is for 2 people sharing the kingsized bed. Use of the sofa bed is extra.
Everything that this World Heritage City offers is right on your doorstep including the Roman Baths, Pump Rooms and not forgetting the fantastic Thermae Spa. All on a level walk.
  • Lovely flat, very clean and perfect location. Robin and Carol were great. Carol even went and bought us a new pot plant because the one in the bedroom was looking a bit tired. Great stay and would highly recommend.

  • This is the ultimate city-centre location for Bath, literally a stone's throw from the baths themselves and all the rest of the city centre. Lovely, well equipped and spacious flat too - fantastic.

  • Excellent property in the most convenient location in Bath, ideal for experiencing the buzz of the city and close to the Roman Baths, the Abbey and all the other attractions including the shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants. Robin was very welcoming and extremely helpful. There is no parking at the flat but this is made clear in the posting. We parked at Southgate centre, a secure facility in the main shopping area which is not too expensive and is only minutes from the flat. A lovely property in a wonderful city. We highly recommend it.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our weekend, we were expecting a bit of noise due to the central location, but we didn't hear a thing. Robin was welcoming and really helpful, communication was great and the flats location was so convenient for shopping and evenings out. Everything we needed was in the flat, the furniture was comfortable and we felt it was 'home' for the weekend rather than another hotel or B&B guest. Wouldn't hesitate to book again!

    Emma2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, great hosts, lovely apartment. 2 minute walk from the Abbey and the Roman Baths plus it's right next to the city tours bus stop, so you really cannot beat this location. After a long drive Carol met us an hour after we planned to arrive and was very welcoming with complimentary tea, coffee and pan au chocolat's provided for our weekends breakfasts. We booked knowing about the lively and noisy location so were not surprised to hear music and talking late into the evening, but if you would be put off by music and noise until 11 at night then this is not the place for you. That being said, we stayed on a Friday and Saturday night which will always be busy. Small issue with the heating and wouldn't normally mention an issue like this as it is something out of the hosts control, but what we wanted to highlight is the way it was dealt with... promptly and with the guests always kept in the loop of what was happening. Would 100% recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a great place to stay in a great location who doesn't mind a bit of background noise late into the evening.

The apartment is fantastic, in a terrific location - just a short 10 minute walk into town (and to the cricket ground!). Robin and Carole made us very welcome, and supplied a delicious bonus breakfast! We are definitely hoping to be back for another mini-break. Thank you very much!

Central Bath Georgian Flat, park opposite, great views, 2 minutes from restaurants, shops, spa, bars and cathedral in this great historic spa city. A really comfy bed to return to. I don’t share the kitchen or sitting room, and no tea making facilities in the bedroom. The price for this location reflects this. Simple room, double bed, small clothes rail, good for a night or two. Decorated shabby chic, old floorboards, great views, offered is this bedroom and sharing small bathroom.
2 min walk from the centre of historical Bath, opposite lovely park, and great views, light sunny flat. The bedroom is simple, minimalistic, shabby chic style with double bed and small clothes rail. Lovely views with sash windows. This property is over 200 years old. You may want to know that I wash the bedding myself and don't iron the bedding! :) This is a room in my home and the only one used for airbnb. The floorboards are old and painted white, with wood discoloration showing through. The space is this room and share of small bathroom. Breakfast not provided but great cafes within 2 mins walk.
Lovely park across the road, great old fashioned tiny pub across the road that has Irish music session every Friday evening, couple of minutes stroll into historical Bath, for shopping, museums, cafes, bars and art gallery's, and of course the thermal spa. I regularly decorate my home, but have never had a lot of money to spend on it.

  • This worked really well for us. It was clean, minimal - a bit basic perhaps - but in a great location and with everything we needed. Lucy was very friendly and helpful. Good value too.

  • Lucy is so nice and helpful. She has a cozy apartment and that made us feel like home during the stay in Bath. Moreover, the location is quite good. it doesn't take long to walk to the famous tourist spots in town.

This lovely apartment is perfect for exploring the sights of Bath. The living room is spacious and light and the bed room sumptuous. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a supermarket just next door. A huge bonus is the free on street parking.
The 2nd floor apartment has been newly refurbished and perfect for couples looking for a wonderful getaway to Bath. This is a relatively new listing but to see our hosting style please look at our reviews for our other property! The location is perfect for visitors wanting to explore the historic city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. The centre of Bath is just a 15 minute walk into the heart of the city, the walk in is via the London Road which is great for exploring Bath's renowned antique shops and the artisan shops of Walcot Street. The apartment also benefits from easy access to the stunning Kennet and Avon canal, which can be explored via a meadow at the rear of the apartment. Unusually for Bath, Kensington Place has free on street parking, as does Grosvenor Place just up the road so although parking isn't 100% guaranteed there are almost always spaces available. Locally there are a number of great pubs including the King William and The Beaufort. Morrison's supermarket is just 2 minutes away. The space consists of living room with dining table to enjoy any meals you wish to eat in the apartment, bedroom with double bed made up with fresh linen and a shower room. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster etc so perfect if you want to eat in. The apartment is self catering but we provide the basics like milk, tea, coffee etc.
For places to eat and drink we provide a list or our favourite places, however if you don't want to venture into the centre of the city the King William pub (which is excellent) and number one beaufort are both right on your doorstep. If you want to stay in and cook Morrison's supermarket (and 24 hour cash machine) is a 2 minute walk away. There is also a petrol station on the London Road. There is so much to see and do in Bath, the great thing about it is that as the city is so small you can see all the sights easily on foot. Some of the high points are the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Roman baths, the Abbey, the Holborne museum. The list is endless! The shopping is also great if you want to see quirky independents, for this I'd recommend Walcot Street, Bartlett Street and George Street. Larkhall: (a ‘village' centre in Bath) containing among other things, two convenience stores (McColl's and Co-op), a butchers, greengrocers, deli, pub and even a theatre, is just a 5 minute walk away (turn right outside the apartment, cross the road, take the second left up St Saviour's Road and keep going until you reach Larkhall). There is also easy access from the apartment onto the Kennet and Avon Canal path. You can head towards Bradford-on-Avon for a lovely walk and stop off at the George in at Bathampton Mill for refreshments! The apartment is off the main road into Bath, the bedroom does have secondary glazing so blocks a lot of the noise but please do expect some noise- it is a busy city after all!
  • Apartment was lovely and very cosy. It took us a while to find a parking space anywhere near by but once we were in the flat we felt relaxed and comfortable. We enjoyed the 20min walk into the centre as there are lots of amazing shops, restaurants and pubs on the way to stop off in. Kathrine was really helpful and gave fantastic instructions of how to get into the apartment and gave some fab recommendations for places to go. We throughly enjoyed our stay and the beautiful Christmas markets.

    Rachael2016-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a lovely city. The flat was easy to find, parking was ok with a fair amount of spaces. Easy walk into the centre. The flat was clean and well equipped, there was even milk ready in the fridge! All in all a great experience!

    Sarah2017-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment! We stayed 2 nights and were very comfortable. The apartment is about a 15 minute walk from the Roman Baths. Katherine was very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely recommend this place.

  • A lovely and comfortable flat in a very convenient location to the city centre. The flat had good facilities for self catering and had everything we needed for a lovely stay in Bath

  • A beautiful flat, in a lovely location. Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Every step of the process was relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended.

  • Lovely apartment in Bath. It's more like a 20 minute walk to the top of town so a little far out if you want something very central. However, it's a flat walk in. Some of the kitchen equipment was a little worn and there wasn't a TV. The apartment is decorated to a high standard and has a peaceful feel. We were very comfortable in the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed Bath. Thanks for a great stay!

    Rachel2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean and stylish apartment, located 10-15 minutes walk outside of the town centre. Katherine was very helpful. Check-in and check-out were pain free experiences!

    Ciara2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely stylish and spacious flat for our 3 day trip to Bath. Really close to the city centre, we were able to walk to and from it everyday. It was extremely clean and looked exactly like the photos. The facilities were great and we really enjoyed being able to use those as we needed. The self-check in and check-out was a great feature, but Katherine was very quick to reply to any of our messages!

  • Beautifully decorated place and one of the few places I have stayed in the UK during the winter and not feel too cold. Wifi is spotty but it was fine for us with a travel router picking up the main house wifi.

  • Excellent self contained garden flat. Has everything you need for a relaxing stay in Bath. About a 25min walk to the centre so not the sort of place to nip in and out of. Annie is lovely and accommodating. Would recommend.

  • We loved our stay in Garden Flat. Annie was very welcoming, showed is everything in the flat and suggested the best places to eat with the outdoor terrace. Also showed us a shortcut to town which is just within 10 minutes walk. We are travelling across England and Wales for a week now and so far it is our best stay. Thank you Annie for a wonderful stay.

  • A lovely apartment just a short and pleasant walk to downtown Bath (~20 minutes). It was nice being tucked away in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood, yet still so close to all the sites. The spot has everything you need to enjoy your stay and was quite lovely. Many thanks to Annemarie and her sweet family!

A 'Grand Designs' style self-contained studio in Bath with its own parking, private entrance and outdoor balcony space. The studio is a pleasant stroll away from the city centre and situated on the edge of National Trust countryside. We provide complimentary continental breakfast provisions so our guests can enjoy breakfast in bed!
The studio offers a place to relax and a haven from the nearby city bustle. This award winning architect designed apartment is contemporary, but also warm and cosy with a lovely light and airy feel. The living area has a comfortable sofa and armchair as well as a dining table and chairs. It enjoys underfloor heating and electrically operated curtains. It is separated from the deliciously soft and luxurious king size bed in the bedroom area by a cleverly designed room divider that offers plenty of storage (including a range of DVDs, board games etc). There is a large T.V, wifi, a DVD player and a fully equipped kitchen with combination oven/microwave/grill and a hob. We provide tea, coffee, biscuits, a range of tasty breakfast cereals and fresh brioche in the kitchen cupboards. In the fridge you will find fresh milk and orange juice, a range of delicious yoghurts, conserves and butter. There is also a separate mini freezer and a washing machine. The shower room is just off the bedroom. Towels and bed linen are provided. We also have a travel cot that can be made available at no cost for very little ones. Outside on the balcony (when the weather is clement) there is a brightly coloured table and two chairs where our guests can relax. The studio suits holiday makers who wish to explore and enjoy the World Heritage city of Bath and/or the surrounding areas of Somerset and Wiltshire. It is also ideal for anyone visiting the University of Bath or just looking for somewhere lovely to relax.
The studio benefits from proximity to both city and countryside. It takes just over 20 minutes to wander into the city and the walk takes in spectacular views (or there are buses that run roughly every 10 to 20 mins). Should you wish to drive into the centre, there are plenty of car parks. Once there you can wander among the Georgian splendours of the Circle and the Royal Crescent or meander along the less well known avenues, cobbled streets and canal tow paths. There are no end of lovely places to stop for refreshment when the mood takes you and some fantastic award winning restaurants. A trip to the Abbey is well worth making, as is an excursion to one of the many galleries or museums. The Roman Baths offer an amazing glimpse back through time, whilst the modern Thermae Bath Spa is a wonderful way to relax and indulge in some pampering. Bath also offers fantastic shopping as well as great entertainment at the Theatre Royal, the Rondo, the Mission and the Komedia. The studio itself is situated on Bath's skyline, which was purchased by the National Trust many years ago and is a largely flat and very beautiful path which stretches around the 'bowl' of the city. You may like to wander, run or cycle along it. We like to walk to Combe Down, where the Darling Deli offers delicious breakfast and lunches Monday to Saturday. Prior Park Landscaped Gardens and the American Museum are also close by. Widcombe Village itself is at the bottom of the hill. It has a lovely artisan feel and two great restaurants, the White Hart and The Ring 'O' Bells as well as a pub and a small supermarket that is open late. It is also home to the wonderful Widcombe Deli, which is well worth a visit. There is another shop at the university offering a wide selection of international food.

  • If you find Julie's place available- book it! A great space with kitchen and comfy bed. Thanks Julie for a welcoming stay.

  • A fantastic studio. Julie's studio apartment had all you would need for a great break away in bath. It was so clean and cosy but also very chic. Good location and parking is a bonus! Julie was very helpful and great and communicating with me. I definitely would recommend Julie's place! We will be going back. Thank you 😊

  • Myself and my partner had a lovely stay at the studio. Julie provided everything we needed and more. The breakfast provided was great with a lovely selection. The bottle of wine that greeted us was a welcome suprise too and very much appreciated! Overall a lovely modern and comfortable place to stay. Close enough to walk into the city too and enjoy the view on the way in. We were provided with lots of useful information about bath including things to do and great restaurants to try. Loved that Julie had gone to the effort to make the place Christmassy too! Overall a great place to stay and lovely host.

    Katrina2016-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Superb place to stay! Julie is a delightful host who is always there to help. Her local knowledge and little extras make the stay very easy and would 100% recommend as a place to stay.

    James2018-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable - perfect for relaxing. Julie and Ashley are excellent hosts; they are friendly and welcoming and made communication - from booking through to checking in - really easy. The breakfast items, fruit, wine, biscuits etc. are a nice touch - as is the abundance of information provided on the local area. The location is great - lovely walks and scenery on the doorstep, which you probably wouldn’t see if staying in the centre, but not far to walk to the shops and tourist attractions. You can also catch the bus from the stop just around the corner. In summary - excellent value for money, especially with the parking space - highly recommended!

    Kate2017-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay here. Excellent communication. Julie has thought of Everything - clean, very comfortable, lots of information provided and in a lovely picturesque area. We really enjoyed our walks down into Bath and nearby lanes.

    Carmel2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely apartment and Julie is the perfect host. Everything you need is there for you and Julie welcomes you to show you around the studio. Lots of information there about the local area and we recommend that you take Julie's walk. We saw beautiful views and a lovely canalside walk we would have otherwise missed. We will certainly return and would recommend Julie's place to anyone.

  • Logement confortable, spacieux.

  • I had a great stay here! Natalie's friend Jenny welcomed me in her absence. Jenny was very nice, informative and accommodating. This small English home is charming and very conveniently located. The Oldfield Rail station is a few minutes walk straight down a picturesque road. Mind you learn which trains stop there. The walk to downtown Bath is maybe 20 min depending on the route you choose. I liked the residential side roads - much prettier than the main road that goes straight to Bath Spa Station. The room is spartan but comfortable (I was after all there to sleep not live, too many things to do and see) and croissants, cereal, and juice were always in the kitchen no matter how early I left. The place is clean, the bedding fresh, the shower water hot, and the wifi working! What more does a traveler need.

    Joseph Shawn2014-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie was a gracious host and the picture did the room justice. As long as you know ahead of time the location is outside the city centre this will be a five star stay. I actually enjoyed being a bit outside downtown Bath because it gave me the opportunity to see parts of the city I may not have seen otherwise. Besides this all of the accommodations met or exceeded expectations. I was happy with the breakfast set up, suggestions for exploring Bath and things to do, and pleasant conversation between Natalie and the other guests. If I stay in Bath again I'd be sure to look this unit up.

    Steven2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay here. There was a warm and friendly vibe in the house. I met some great people over breakfast. Natalie was extremely hospitable and easy going. The breakfast was excellent. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

  • Good location (20 min walk from train station), very friendly, extremely comfortable bed, delicious breakfast! Oh and very good value! Would definitely stay again.

  • Stacey (Natalie's friend) is a great host, who was helpful, generous and communicated clearly and quickly. The room was very clean, spacious and the bed was very comfy. The place was well described and the photos were accurate. I have to say the breakfast was fab - I loved the raspberry jam! Stacey made me feel very welcome and I would definitely stay again.

  • Natalie helped me a lot with the whereabouts in Bath. Her place was neat and airy. Bath Center is 25-minute walk from her place, bus stop 5 minutes. I totally recommend!

    Carolina2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie's place has been recently updated and modernized ( 3 years ago) and it is clean and neat. There are two bathrooms, both quite modern, on the main floor and a breakfast area on a lower floor. Natalie was quite responsive to my needs and I felt that her presence made it feel like a home. The neighborhood was pleasant with a huge food stores a good ten minutes walk. Buses to downtown were just down the street or you could walk it in a about 15-20 minutes. Natalie had milk and cereal available all day and made a nice cereal, pastry and toast breakfast. A nice place. I'd come back. Thanks Natalie! Steve

    Steve2014-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie was lovely and a really kind and helpful host. The room was warm and cosy; an ideal place to crash if you want to be close to Bath city centre, a 15 mimute walk or 5 minute drive away. The breakfast was lovely and fresh, just what I needed to start the day off. Highly recommend. Thanks Natalie!

A fabulously stylish, centrally located one bedroom large 1st floor apartment. A high ceilinged sumptuous interior designed space built in 1789 for Samuel Ward, Salt Merchant of Bath. It's the perfect base for a romantic indulgent weekend away.
With far reaching views over the hills of Bath & Prior Park from the luxury super king size bedroom at the rear of the apartment, and views up and down the Grandeur of Great Pulteney Street from the front, a stay in The Salt Merchant's will be a memorable few days away.
Great Pulteney Street is arguably the grandest Georgian street in Bath and only a 5 minute level stroll from Central Bath.
  • The room is really tidy and well decorated, it's been a pleasure to live in such a great place.

  • My Fiancée and I enjoyed two fabulous nights at the Salt Merchants in Bath. Louise was a great host and provided us with a vast amount of information, not only about the property but also Bath in general. The apartment is even better than in the photos and is located on one of the smartest streets in Bath, just a couple of minutes walk away from the city centre itself. Would thoroughly recommend this property for anyone looking to visit Bath.

    Oliver2017-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beautiful - so well presented and made us feel so at home in Bath. The location is ideal for Bath, on one of the most prestigious streets and you can walk to town in just a few minutes. Louise made us feel so welcome and was really accommodating. She was great at being on hand with queries and always answered any questions quickly. Thanks for a lovely stay Louise - we'll definitely be recommending your apartment to many of our friends!

  • Had a lovely stay in Bath with my Mum and Brother. Apartment was exactly how it is described, it was stylish, homely and situated perfectly for everything we needed. Handy waitrose just a few minutes walk away. Guy was friendly and helpful and recommended places to eat etc. We took the long walk down to the Thai restaurant below the apartment and would definitely recommend. The bed was very comfortable and would be sure to stay there again.

Part of Proceedings through this earning goes to various charity works with which I am involved with. A double room available in Southdown, Bath. Perfect for a couple or single person. 10 minutes drive from Bath city center. Superb kitchen, dining space & Views!
The room is simply stunning and you may have better experience than staying a top class hotel. The property has an excellent stunning nice kitchen, dining space and wonderful views. You will have a gorgeous view of the whole city from the dining room, shower-room (upstairs/shared) and rear garden.
Excellent residential neighbourhood with pin drop silence during the night. Church, shops (Tesco and Co-operative) are at walking distance. There are Indian take away and fish and chips shops in the vicinity (5 minutes walk).

  • The room was great, bed very large and comfy. Hosts were very friendly. House a wee bit tricky to find! It's opposite 26 maybe I think, nowhere near number 44!

    Paul2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The host was kind enough to offer us a welcome Tea and explained us about all facilities and how to use them. You are expected to mind your outside shoes and sleepers within house for obvious reason of cleanliness. We had a pleasant overnight stay at this family home which is a 10 mins drive from the Bath city center. There is ample off street parking available in front of the house. The house is well furnished & maintained to a high standard and facilities are shared with all household members.

    Hemendr2015-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Tanya was very welcoming with coffee as we arrived slightly early but in an earlier email it was confirmed I could collect keys anytime. To be clear - this is a room in their private residence and so you will need to check if the bathroom is free, etc. Perhaps obvious to some, but not others. Also; nothing to do with the Airbnb, but the number 10 bus is not very reliable on the weekend! We waited for over 40 minutes so if you have a train to catch - be careful! Overall, it did the job as we were just sleeping there but if you are there for more than one night you may feel a bit cramped.

    Vimal2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • the room was beautiful, clean and the bed comfortable i did not want to get up, the hostessTanya was very very nice and friendly. I highly recommend them.

The apartment itself was clean, well kept, and with all the essential amenities. Communication was excellent, and the check-in very easy. I most definitely reccomend the apartment to anyone visting Bath.

  • Gerlando's place is perfectly located for a visit to Bath. Everywhere was easily accessible on foot. The place was quiet and had everything we needed. Gerlando is very quick and easy to communicate with. We would stay there again.

    Stephen And Rose2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great central location and communication with Gerlando was easy and quick. Picked up the keys with ease using the key box and flat is spacious and very close to all the attraction's. Our only issue was the oven hadn't been cleaned inside properly and so when we went to use it, it admitted some very unpleasant smells and we couldn't cook as we had hoped. Hopefully this will be rectified as I've let Gerlando know. Otherwise, great flat, loads of space.

    Vix2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in Bath, Gerlando was attentive and very prompt in his communication and assistance with our queries. Fantastic location, very central with the addition of a huge carpark to the rear of the apartment!

A charming & unique grade II listed period house in the heart of Georgian Bath. The thoughtful use of space has given this property a unique character with a charming sitting room upstairs, with the bedroom & bathroom on ground floor level.
  • Bath is very different city - compact and not traffic friendly, however the AirBnB-Jennifer was a fantastic location to maximise the benefits of being in Bath and minimising the inconveniences. The bedroom, the bathroom, the kitchen and lounge were all very workable and very comfortable and vey quaintly "Bath". Jennifer's help made it easy to park our vehicle for 2 days and minimal inconvenience, her recommendations of places to eat were spot on. The location allowed us to wash clothes very conveniently at the Scrub-a-Duc (with a great cafe across the plaza if breakfast is desired). Our host made initial access and final departure easy but everything was no-fuss. We loved the experience.

  • A quirky, cosy little building that has been furnished with an eye for detail. The hosts were fantastic, Dan told us all about the area and we were left milk and chocolate in the fridge. The location is great and there are lots of restaurants nearby. Should you decide to eat in, the kitchen is well equipped.

    Matthew2016-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully presented cosy quirky cottage, in a great location. Definitely recommend staying here, we will be coming back for sure just wish we had a longer stay! Dan's recommendations for places to eat were fantastic, the firehouse rotisserie is worth a visit. Thank you very much Jennifer and Dan.

    Jerricah2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our weekend in Bath. This place was the perfect little bolthole for when we needed to relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our favourite things were a lovely comfy (massive) bed, well equipped and spotlessly clean kitchen and a stylish and cosy lounge. The place is a 5min walk from the top of town, 10mins from the heart of things in Bath. Warmly recommended.

"The Bargemaster's" is a fabulous Georgian 2nd floor apartment on Great Pulteney St. It is very close to the city centre, on the doorstep of The Recreation Ground & opposite the tranquil Henrietta Gardens. It has wonderful views over the city & hills beyond. It was built in 1789 for Samuel Ward, Bargemaster of Bath. I hope that you will love our Georgian guest apartment - a designer space, decorated sympathetically with high end pieces, a relaxing romantic feel and sumptuous top quality linen.

  • I am a regular visitor to Bath so I knew this apartment to be on one of its best streets. Apart from the Georgian splendour both externally and internally, it is also a short level walk to the main shops. The apartment itself is stunning, luxurious and with great views front and back. It is like having a large personal suite in a top hotel. But with the added bonus of a fully fitted kitchen. I couldn't fault the apartment and I will definitely be back. The host was very helpful in letting me pick up the parking permit early. Lorraine

  • This is an excellent apartment and a great location. Bath is a wonderful place to visit and this apartment puts you right in the center of town. The flat is well equipped and a great place to return to at the end of each day. It was also a quiet place to sleep, despite being on a busy street. Maureen is a very gracious and helpful host. If you can stay at this apartment, you’ll be happy. (Maureen and Ken also have a flat in Notting Hill in London, which we stayed at. We highly recommend it, too.)

Bath is a great city to visit, having beautiful Georgian architecture, thermal hot springs with a roof-top swimming pool, Roman baths museum, and countless cafés and restaurants. There is also the Costume museum and Jane Austen centre, many art galleries, all within a relatively small area of the city centre where you can walk from one spot to another in minutes.
Our house is in a quiet residential area not far from the centre of Bath. We can offer one of our two sitting rooms which converts into a private bedroom. A sofa bed folds out to a king size comfortable double bed. All our bedding is made of 100% cotton and towels and hairdryer are provided. There is also a very small single bedroom (just space for sleeping in a full size single bed) available upstairs. It is very quiet in our street at night and many guests have commented on how well they have slept here. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with the host family. Guests are welcome to help themselves to hot drinks at all times and to store items of food in the fridge. You will enjoy great views across the valley from the garden and its sheltered patio. We are a vegetarian household and provide a wholesome cold buffet style breakfast (muesli/ porridge/ yoghurt/ wholemeal toast or rolls with a number of different spreads or cheeses/ boiled eggs/ fresh fruit and tea, fresh coffee and juice ) included in the price. There is the option of an occasional vegetarian meal with us (by arrangement) when I would ask for a contribution towards the cost. I'm happy to cater for people with special dietary needs provided that you let me know in advance. The house is situated on the north east side of the historical City of Bath, about 30 minutes on foot or less than 10 minutes by car from the centre, yet very close to open countryside with some lovely walks. One of those takes you to an old Norman chapel, surrounded by an old cemetery and a holy well in an enchanting garden. The bus stops opposite the house and takes about 20 minutes to the bus and train station. There's plenty of on-street parking and the neighbourhood is very pleasant. Bath is a popular tourist attraction, with a cosmopolitan ambience but small enough to explore its historical sights and unique architecture on foot. The city has a variety of great restaurants, some of which are very reasonably priced . The nearest local shop (open 7/7) also is within easy reach on foot. The Richmond pub/restaurant 0.6 Km up the hill, open Tuesday - Sunday Theatres, cinemas, sport-centres, the famous spa-bath, museums, art galleries, pubs and night-clubs - it's all there. Bristol is 15 mins away by train whilst Salisbury, Oxford and famous sites such as Stonehenge, Avebury, the Cotswolds and Glastonbury or the beaches of the south coast are within easy reach for a day out. We are in a quiet suburb with rolling green hills, lovely views, walks into the open countryside 5 minutes from our house, and a 30 minute walk to the city centre, hilly but with great views. The centre of Bath has lots of interesting and unusual shops, and many restaurants and tourist attractions.

I had a great stay at Petra's, her husband and her have made themselves very available for me and it's been a pleasure to spend time in this lovely house and in such nice company. Come here if you're a book-lover or if you want to have great conversations with your hosts to have an insider's look at Bath!

    Ann-Lys2016-06-27T00:00:00Z

  • A great apartment - spacious and everything is brand new so it's lovely and clean. High ceilings and a well equipped kitchen. Really nice powerful shower and very child friendly. Not right in the city centre, but a very short and easy walk (I had a toddler and a baby and had no problem!) Lovely hosts with great communication. Highly recommend, a great place to stay.

  • Awesome Place! perfect for a trip to Bath

    Shyam2016-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is just beautiful, the photos don't do justice for how lovely it is! Alex was so helpful throughout the stay and replied almost straight away to any questions we had. The apartment was about a 10 minute walk into the city centre which was perfect for us. Would definitely come back again. Thank you for a great trip!

    Louise2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Around 15 minutes walk to Roman Baths. Apartment was cold as heating was not effective, radiators are placed in corners of the apartment, not under the windows. Heat retention of the windows were also poor. Host only allowed heating to be on during stipulated timings, so it's off for most of the night (8.30pm to 6am). And it goes off again from 9.30am to 3pm. Not that suitable for young children. Also the Tesco across the road is Express, not Metro.

  • As described, a fantastic apartment in a great location in Bath. Incredibly clean and well equipped for our stay. Hosts were always available by message and were very helpful.

Own room, use of kitchen and bathroom. Walk or bus to town centre. It is a lovely easy walk into the countryside. Small shops, pub and on-street parking very close by. The house is up a hill. There is a much greater choice of food etc available in town centre. Please note - Raglan Lane, has different named 'Views' and 'Terraces' all the way up, so there are several number 4's!! Raglan Terrace is the last terrace on the right at the top of the hill. Number 4 is by second lamp post from the top.
Own room with single bed on first floor of the home which you will share with me and three friendly cats. The house is a busy working art space.
The house is up a hill in a residential area. 3 pubs, one with food, a convenience shop, hairdressers, coffee shop and chemist very close by. Other restaurants and shops in town centre or nearby Larkhall. Pubs: The Richmond Arms, which has food The Fairfield Arms: Address: 1 Fairfield Park Rd, Bath BA1 6JN The Rising Sun: Address: 5 Claremont Buildings, Camden Rd, Avon, Bath BA1 6EH.

  • Loved staying at Emma's, shes warm and welcoming. Makes sure you feel at home. An easy walk down the hill to the city with a bus stop a 2min walk away so you don't have to lug the luggage when you're travelling. She has four beautiful cats who are very attentive at keeping you entertained.

    Erica2015-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks a lot Ms.Emma! She is very friendly and also kindly. My room was very big and so comfortable. I had to work a bit with my laptop, the desk and chair was comfortable as well! And this house was decorated a lot of art was so nice. You'll have the other good experience in Bath! ;)

  • Many thanks for the stay at your home, Emma. A characterful house and the room was comfy and quiet. As described.

  • Nice warm house, had a walk into the city centre and a tasty meal.

  • Emma is simply amazing! Her place is very comfortable and with style. I would totally recommend it to anyone who is visiting Bath!

    Christabel2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Emma is very friendly and responds to my questions quickly. The house is very cosy and well-decorated. The house is in the residential area so it is very quiet at night. It is on the hill but you can easily take a bus from the train station to get to Emma's house. From the house to the town centre is 30 mins by walk. Highly recommended:)

    Hsin Yi2018-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the place for my mom, who came to visit me, I was very pleased with the experience and my mom as well! Emma is a lovely host, her cats are friendly and her place is great. The location is convenient, but if you don't have a car you have to look a bit at the bus timetable. In a small town like Bath this is normal and Emma was very helpful with providing the necessary information.
