Garden Center
“Peaches & Greens sells food from several urban gardens located around it. It’s a rare market where you can buy produce from gardens in the neighborhood as well as unique food products made throughout Detroit. Going by this little market is a good way to learn about people growing and taking care of themselves in the city. You can also buy fish that were raised right next door at a place called the CDC Farm and Fishery. They have a whole operation with growing tilapia and basil together.”

“Gordon Park, right at the site where the '67 rebellion started (12th Street, now Rosa Parks Boulevard and Clairmount ), was one of dozens of city parks to receive renovations. The park has a stage, landscaping, fitness equipment, and a playground. On July 23, 2019 the 50th anniversary of when the rebellion started, a historic marker in the park was unveiled to commemorate the events.”
