Unforgettable Okavango Delta and Chobe
Day 1 Meet & Greet with staff at Maun airport from where you will take a scenic light aircraft transfer to Pom Pom Camp (approx. 25 minutes). Meet your private guide and spotter at the airstrip and drive to the camp. The camp manager awaits with a welcome drink. Settle in to your tented room. For families there is a spacious family unit. During your afternoon tea your guide will cover your safari itinerary and activities. If you have children these will be given their young explorer kits. Your itinerary is flexible and we are happy to adapt as we go! Your guide will suggest a game drive as the evening activity, which will be done in a private vehicle in Pom Pom’s private concession returning in time for a tasty 3-course dinner (choice of 2 main courses) which is usually served around 19.30/20.00 hrs. Your guide will walk you to your tented room after dinner. Pom Pom is on a private and community owned concession in the heart of the Okavango. Proceeds help the local community and most employees come from neighboring villages. Spend three nights here and go on game drives, night drives, traditional mokoro rides and game walks. On day 4 you will continue your flying safari and transfer to Chobe. Here you will spend the next 3 nights at Chobe Bush Lodge, adjacent to the spectacular Chobe River. During your stay you will enjoy game drives, a Chobe River sunset cruise and a private boat cruise. At the end of your stay we will take you to Kasane Airport. From here you can reach international destinations at ease. Other things to note Please inquire before booking. Availability is very limited as the lodges only have a few rooms. The calendar is not synced with Airbnb. Please check our seasonal pricing as it differs for high, mid and low season
Camping Adventure Okavango and Chobe
Day 1 Once you arrive in Maun you will be met by a staff member and you will have the option to get a spectacular birds-eye view of the Okavango Delta from above in a small fixed wing aircraft (weather permitting and per person rate $110). Looking down on the Delta from the aircraft, you will get a fair idea of the magnitude of this massive mix of land and water with its intricate system of channels and islands. You might also see families of elephant, giraffe, and herds of buffalo or even hippos from the air. If you skip the flight, you will have the chance to kick back and relax at the campsite. Day 2 Today we explore the Delta by mokoro or 4*4. The mokoro is used by local people as means of transport. It's a traditional dug-out canoe seating 2 people. It's steered by a ‘’poler” standing at the back, manoeuvring the mokoro downstream with a pole, very much like the gondoliers in Venice. Once you are comfortable and laid back in your mokoro, the slow and tranquil journey into The Delta begins. Gliding along on the quiet water you will have an unlimited source of opportunities to take exquisite photos of your surroundings. The duration of the mokoro trail depends on the time of year and water levels of the Delta. You will stop for lunch at an island and enjoy a nature walk of a few hours. Then you head back to Maun, again in your mokoro enjoying the last hour or two on the water while the late afternoon sun starts heading for the horizon. The Delta is usually at its lowest point from December to May. When the water is low, we can't use the mokoros and instead use 4*4 open vehicles to explore Moremi Game Reserve in the Okavango. Expect a full day of exploration in the search of wild animals, interesting and varied landscapes in this untamed African bush. Lunch will be done en-route and you will have the opportunity to take exquisite photos as Moremi is well known for teeming bird life, elephants, buffalo, hippo, lion, leopards and various antelopes. Other things to note Waterlevels are hard to predict and beyond our control. Both the mokoro ride and game drive are incredible experiences. Day 3 Set out for Elephant Sands, which is close to the village of Nata. Elephant Sands is famous for its watering hole, voted as one of the top ten watering holes in Africa. At this watering hole, you can expect to see animals such as wild dogs, different antelope species and of course elephants that walk through the campsite searching for fresh water. This will most certainly be the closest you will get to these wild animals on foot. Camp near the waterhole. Day 4 Continue to the small town of Kasane, which is adjacent to the Chobe National Park & Chobe River. Relish the views during your included afternoon sunset boat cruise. Take your own sundowner with you as you look for wildlife on the banks of the Chobe River. Game such as elephant, buffalo, kudu, bushbuck, hippo, giraffe, and sable are commonly seen along the river edge, and it is a birdwatcher’s paradise during the summer months. Day 5 After breakfast you pack up and head to Kasane for the end of the tour. You can fly out to destinations such as Johannesburg from here. At an extra expense we can offer a Chobe National Park game drive for you. Other things to note The tour ends in Kasane. We recommend booking additional tours with us departing from Kasane. Sleeping bag is not included but can be organized at extra cost. Let us know when booking if you need one.

Beautiful Botswana Luxury Immersion
Day 1 Today you arrive in Maun. Here, a small aircraft awaits you for a short transfer into the Okavango Delta. Upon landing, your guide, an experienced ranger from the local community, greets you and takes you to the camp. The Khwai Concession is known for its predators, such as its packs of wild dogs, lions, hyenas and leopards. The unique Okavango river systems also makes for good sighting of aquatic birds, hippos and crocodiles. Situated in this wildlife haven is Khwai Tented Camp. The community-run camp laps up its beautiful lagoon front setting. Perched on a raised deck, with sweeping lagoon views connecting to the Khwai River, this beautiful camp seamlessly blends into the surrounding woodland area. Simple yet elegant, Khwai Tented Camp strikes the perfect balance between homely touches whilst not detracting from the wild environment. Experience the animals and surroundings of Khwai on an afternoon game drive. Come back, rest and get ready for a sumptuous starlight dinner. The camp consists of six en suite tents all dotted along the lagoon for the utmost privacy. There are no permanent structures; everything can be removed to leave the wilderness exactly as we found it, minimizing our impact on the environment. As Khwai is a community-run concession, all its proceeds from tourism go directly to the local people and projects through the Khwai Community Trust. Day 2 Wake up and get ready for your game drive. Today, you’ll see magnificent wildlife indigenous to the area. Your guide will show you the hidden spots best for game viewing and as he has grown up here, he can give you real insider’s knowledge. In the afternoon you can go on an additional game drive or a walking safari. You can also do a traditional mokoro canoe cruise. Besides the day-time drives and walks which can feature Africa’s big attractions – lion, cheetah, leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, hippo and giraffe – you will be able to explore nature after sunset with a night drive. Come back to another unforgettable dining experience. Day 3 Today we will explore the bush further but also use the opportunity to get to know the local culture of your guide. Community participation and community ownership means everything to us and you will experience first-hand what it means for an Okavango community to maintain world-class hospitality standards, to run a private game concession and how these tourism opportunities translate into a bright future for the participating local people. Day 4 After breakfast, do your last activity at the camp and pack up to fly to Linyanti Concession at Chobe National Park, your second destination. Fly and meet your guide at the airstrip, who will take you to Linyanti Bush Camp. Relax by pool or take in the natural world on a mokoro safari or enjoy the amazing wildlife while on a game drive. With just six luxury tents, Linyanti Bush Camp offers an intimate safari experience in a private concession on the border of Botswana’s iconic Chobe National Park. Consequently, you can look forward to exceptional and diverse wildlife encounters year-round. Stay in one of the spacious tents that look out over the vast Linyanti landscape and enjoy these views from the comfort of your own outdoor seating area. Styled in the traditional safari camp style, with an eclectic scattering of traditional African artefacts, your room comes with all the comfortable amenities you would expect, while the elevated communal area offers a lounge, bar and dining area with a well-stocked book shelf – a welcome retreat after a day of activities. Day 5 After breakfast, spend your time exploring the raw African wilderness on thrilling game drives, get intimate with the surrounding bush on walking safaris and float along the waterways on a mokoro (canoe) excursion. The freedom of being located on a private reserve means your knowledgeable guide operates exclusive night game drives for a glimpse into Botswana’s mesmeric nocturnal world. Whether you observe the wildlife from the safari vehicle or hop aboard a helicopter for panoramic views of the marshes, woodlands and savanna plains below – our experiences will sharpen the senses, offering an in-depth look at Linyanti’s diverse ecosystem. Day 6 Experience the bush by foot, from a mokoro canoe, or do a game cruise on the Chobe. After your safari you have the opportunity to meet locals from your guides village and to learn about community involvement in tourism and conservation or to discuss weaving and pattern-making with the highly skilled textile designers in the village. Tonight you will enjoy your last delicious bush meal. Day 7 After your morning activity and breakfast, you will fly back to Maun. End of tour.
