Little Orchard is a beautiful Bath stone building which was once the potting sheds and outbuildings for The Orchard. It is a large airy space with a huge cosy bed, woodburner, bath and kitchen area. A perfect retreat 20 minutes from Bath! There are no hidden service charges or cleaning fees with this listing - the price is as listed £80 Sunday to Thursday and £90 Friday or Saturday.
The Space Little Orchard was converted from what were originally gardeners' potting sheds and outbuildings. It is separate from our house, across our gravelled driveway. It has changed greatly over 200 years and is now a large airy barn style room with a separate bathroom with bath and shower over. There is a small kitchen area with breakfast bar, sink, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster, kettle and all you need to make breakfast or simple meals. There is also an electric one ring hotplate for crispy bacon or fried eggs! ***Please note there is no oven******If you would like a welcome pack we can provide cereal, croissants, juice and other breakfast basics for two people at an additional cost of £10. In the main room there is a zip and link super king-sized bed which can be split into two singles. We have a travel cot for small visitors, and can provide fold up beds for small children although floor space is quite limited. The space is not really suitable for 3 adults unless you are all very friendly! We have just installed a lovely woodburner, and will provide logs and kindling. Little Orchard has its own entrance and off road parking space so you can come and go as you wish. There is an outdoor seating area for al fresco breakfasts, and a rustic seat outside the front door. There is a television, DVD player and wi-fi. There is also a bookcase full of books for cosy evenings by the fire. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are all provided. I also provide tea, coffee, and milk. There are two fitted thermostatically controlled electric convector heaters in the main room, a fan heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom and the woodburner. I have just fitted lovely new white blinds which help with a longer lie-in in the mornings! NB You can book for one night apart from Fridays and Saturdays when there is a 2 night minimum stay.
The Neighbourhood Little Orchard is set in lovely countryside but within easy reach of a multitude of attractions. You will wake up to the birds singing, and we are situated in a Conservation Area. Bathford is built on Roman remains, it is known as 'the walled village', and in the woods at the top of the lane you can find the remains of the stone quarries that supplied Bath with its beautiful stone. There are some lovely walks from the cottage, and lots of pubs and cafes to visit. One of our favourites is the Mill at Bathampton, by the river. You can get a boat from here into Bath as well. Check the Pulteney Princess for times and cost. There are two pubs in the village - one at the bottom - the Crown Inn - and one at the top. The village shop is open 7 days a week and is a co-operative run by people who live in the village. It has a cafe, and stocks a good range of basics as well as fresh bread and croissants and local produce. The cafe does a mean fried breakfast on a Saturday! There are two golf courses within 3 miles - Kingsdown Golf Club and Cumberwell Golf Club. You can walk down into the valley and in half an hour you will be walking on the Kennet and Avon canal at Bathampton. On most weekends and during the week in school holidays there is a lovely canal boat which serves cakes, sandwiches and coffee, or you can walk or cycle along to the Dundas Aqueduct at Limpley Stoke and hire a boat. You can also hire old 1920's and 30's restored wooden rowing boats and punts at Bathampton Mill and at the Bath Boathouse. There are also two lovely pubs in Bathampton - The Mill on the river and The George on the canal. We are just outside Bath to the East with views from the village of Little Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel lives near here and it was where he wrote his famous song! In Bath you are spoilt for choice with the Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Royal Crescent, the Circus, loads of theatres and restaurants, Bath rugby, Thermae spa - (a rooftop pool experience not to miss, especially at night) Christmas street market, gorgeous Georgian architecture. There are festivals all year round including the famous Mozartfest in November, the literature festival, Jane Austen festival and food festivals. The Music Festival is in May, the Christmas Market around the Abbey in November/December and too many others to mention. Shopping is a joy as there are lots of independent shops and Bath is a very self-contained city. You can also explore the surrounding area into Wiltshire and Somerset. Stonehenge is an easy day trip as are Wells, Salisbury, Tetbury and the Cotswolds and Bristol. The Hauser and Wirth gallery in Bruton with its famous Piet Oudulf garden is about 40 minutes away, and has a great restaurant and exhibitions. National Trust properties in the area include Stourhead, Dyrham Park, Lacock ( Harry Potter filmed here as well as lots of period dramas such as Cranford), Prior Park Gardens , The Courts at Holt, Great Chalfield Manor (some of Wolf Hall was filmed here), and Tyntesfield near Bristol. There are some great restaurants and lots of my guests go out to The Pig at Hunstrete which is just West of the Bath on the way to the Chew Valley Lakes. There is also the Michelin starred Pony and Trap in Chew Magna run by Josh and Holly Eggleton. In Bath we have the famous Bertinet bakery, Richard Bertinet runs a cookery school here and has a couple of cafes selling his amazing bread and cakes. A great veggie option is Acorn Kitchen for dinner, or the Green Rocket cafe for breakfast or lunch, also Chapel Arts who do lovely homemade flatbreads. If you are vegan try Beyond the Kale in Green Park Station, open during the daytime only. Corkage in Walcot Street, as recommended by Jay Rayner!, is a lovely wine bar with daily changing tapas plates. For a curry try the Eastern Eye in an amazing Georgian building, and for Thai, Koh Thai Tapas in Broad Street. The best Italian in Bath is the family run Martini on George Street. There are loads of independent cafes, my favourites are Society Cafe in Kingsmead Square, and Hunter and Son in Shires Yard which also opens in the evening and sells food and craft beer too. I also love The Blue Quail deli on Pulteney Bridge, lots of lovely South African food and cakes. There are a couple of old Bath pubs you shouldn't miss. The Old Green Tree in Green Street, wood panelled and very cosy, The Star on The Paragon, no food just great beer, and The Bell on Walcot Street, bought by locals to save it from closing and a great live music venue. In Batheaston there is Gather - open Tuesday to Saturday, mostly vegetarian with lots of gluten free and great coffee and breakfasts/lunches. If you like cocktails you have to go to the Gin Bar, and The Dark Horse in Kingsmead Square. We have great theatres from the old and venerable Theatre Royal, to smaller places like the Rondo in Larkhall and The Mission Theatre. The best cinema is the Little Theatre by the Spa, there is a little bar and it has great atmosphere. On a weekend head to Green Park Station for the food market on Saturday mornings, and various vintage and antiques markets on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • We stayed at this cottage over the New Year's weekend and we couldn't have asked for more. It was cosy and comfortable and we thought the space and utilities were incredibly well thought out. It was very clean and the wood burning stove was an added bonus. Karen was a fantastic host with clear and stress free communication. There are several country pubs within walking distance and Bath itself was a 10 minute drive. Would recommend to anyone!

  • My girlfriend and I spent 1 evening here as a belated valentines day celebration and absolutely loved it. The cottage is situated in an idyllic, beautiful countryside area on the outskirts of Bath (be sure to go on a walk, the views are stunning). The cottage itself is just as described and contains all of the amenities you might need. Although I did not have direct contact with Karen (we kept missing each other), she was very welcoming and accommodating by text. Overall, it was a great experience and I would thoroughly recommend it!

    Joshua2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I had a lovely night at Karen's little cottage! It was perfectly clean, spacious snd very modern inside. Little Orchard is really cosy too, especially with the wood burner going! The location is ideal to get into Bath centre. It took us about 15 minutes on the number 13 bus. There are also lots of lovely walks around the countryside you can do too. Karen was welcoming and friendly and kept in contact with us at all times. She left us plenty of information on the surrounding areas, transport, local pubs and restaurants. She even left us some home made brownies which were delicious! We can't wait to come back and spend longer than 1 night here! I would recommend to any of my friends or family wanting to come to Bath.

    Rosie2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • In short - wonderful! Karen was there to meet us on arrival, showed us all the facilities, and was brilliantly helpful throughout. Little Orchard itself was absolutely perfect. Location-wise, it's ideally situated - the drive into Bath is quick, straightforward, and easy to navigate. The cottage was spotless, and everything was set up for us - wood in the wood burner, milk in the fridge, ice in the freezer! The brownies and port were an added bonus..! We could not have asked for a more ideal Airbnb experience - thank you, Karen!

    Tom2016-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was an absolutely lovely stay - comfortable, stylish and ideally located in a nice little village just outside Bath. Karen was extremely helpful and welcoming and even left a delicious brownie for us. Highly recommended!

    Martin2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Karen is the perfect host. She warmly welcomed us with freshly made brownies and a bottle of port wine. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated. She even prepared the fireplace for us, and provided us with all the relevant information for the flat as well as the surrounding area. It was a very pleasant experience and made us feel right at home. We can highly recommend her apartment to others.

  • This was one of the best couple days of my life :) cabin was amazing and comfortable and pretty luxe. Hot tub made the stay and the privacy and seclusion (even for me, a hardened country girl) was quite something! Cava in the fridge and all the breakfast basics was cherry on the icing on the very huge cake. Coming back... ASAP!

    isobel2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location- 20 min walk to the nearest pub, which is a cute French style food pub. Hot tub is amazing- we loved that! It’s so pretty too :) the attention to detail is perfect

    Jessica2016-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Robin and carol were great and they have a fabulous place! We planned just one night in Bath during our trip to the uk and were so sad we hadn't planned to stay longer! Hopefully we will get to go back and stay in the flat again!

    Jessica2014-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful, clean, well equipped and central, and Robin was lovely. This is a great apartment if you're looking for somewhere friendly in the center of Bath, and looking for good advice on how to get around. The apartment is separated from the main house by a glass door and staircase, so while it is separate it is not completely private and sounds carries from the dogs and from general coming and going, although only during the day.

  • Beth was fantastic with her communication and prepared the house beautifully for us! It is an incredible home in the most amazing location. A fantastic place to host a surprise birthday party or any other event for that matter! Thank you Beth!

    Ahmed2014-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beth was an amazing host. She gave us loads of great advise on where to go in the area and how to get about, making our stay very smooth and even more enjoyable. The house is amazing, loads of space, a real cost, country feel, we all felt at home. This was my first experience using airbnb and thanks to Beth it was a great one! Highly recommend it. Thanks again Beth!

  • Amazing place perfect for big groups

    Jenny2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing weekend at The Manor House for a friend's hen. The girls absolutely loved the house which is eclectic and wonderful and set in beautiful grounds. The house was lovely and clean when we arrived with the table already laid for dinner which was such a nice touch! The house is a short drive from Bath city centre and therefore the perfect location. Beth was fantastic at communicating with me beforehand and answering my many questions promptly. She was also very accommodating with our requests. Thank you so much!

    Harsha2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic weekend at the Medieval Manor House! Before our trip we were provided with lots of helpful information and Beth was on hand to answer questions and provide guidance/tips on the local area. Upon arrival the house was clean and set up perfectly for our stay. It's very spacious and perfect for large groups (we rented out the entire property so had exclusive use). Location wise, it's in a great position - a short drive from the centre of Bath in a quiet village with lovely views of the countryside. I would highly recommend the medieval Manor House for a weekend break for large groups!

    Rebecca2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Manor House truly is a beautiful place to stay. We stayed here in June for a hen party and had the most wonderful time. The conservatory is candle lit at night and makes for a very romantic setting to eat dinner in. The garden is just gorgeous and the perfect spot for afternoon tea in the sunshine! The bedrooms are warm, inviting and cozy and the amount of bathrooms in the entire property was overwhelming! More bathrooms than bedrooms! Which makes it perfect when staying with a lot of people. Beth is the most fantastic host/owner. Throughout the months running up to our stay Beth was very quick to respond, always helpful and went the extra mile to ensure our stay was great (laying the table for our arrival and even asking the housekeeper to accept a food delivery on our behalf!!!). If you want a beautiful, charming and charismatic place to stay the Manor House is for you!!! We had a fantastic weekend and will be returning sometime soon!!

    Kathryn2015-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous time staying at the Manor House. Beth was very accommodating organising our early arrival, which we were very grateful for. Access to the house was simple and the cleaner had left the house is a very welcoming state with the table made and lights on. The house can be tough to find and the village is tiny, but is worth the effort! The house is extensive. 12 of us had plenty of space, both in our ensuite bedrooms and communal spaces. We spent evening in the beautiful garden, the dining room, in the beautiful lodge with Tudor inglenook and the original candle lit Victorian conservatory. There is a lovely pub at the top of he lane serving food from 1800 but it was fully booked so get in there early! The house doesn't really have phone signal but the wifi avoids a lot of issues with the use if iMessage to lost guests! The house was around 10-15 minutes drive on country roads to Bath. We found parking ok at around £6 for most of the day but traffic is very heavy! We found using the house the nicest way to spend the evening using he fully equipped kitchen, with no need to leave to go to Bath. A useful tip was using Sainsbury's to drop off your food! All in all a fantastic stay. Thank you!

    Adam2014-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing weekend and fell in love with the Manor House. It was more beautiful than the listing could describe. Every bedroom was spacious with en suites, the huge lounge perfect for relaxing and dancing and we enjoyed a candlelit dinner in the Victorian conservatory. Beth was so helpful and responded to every query. Would highly recommend.

    Nathalie2016-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Richard is an amazing host and his house is very comfortable. We would like to stay there again when we go to Bath and Holt. Thank you Richard.

    Kazuya2015-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for a few nights visiting a friend in the village. The hosts are very welcoming and make every effort to make you feel at home. The bed is a good size and very comfortable, we had a good nights sleep all three nights. There is a main road outside but the window is double glazed and we weren't disturbed by traffic. The breakfast is varied with a good selection of cereals or a full English if you want it. We had our dog with us and Richard was very accommodating, he even looked after her for two of the evenings while we went out, which was totally unexpected but very welcome. All in all I'd recommend highly.

    Peter2015-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mahtava majoitus! Richard on todella ystävällinen ja varsinkin Richardin valmistama brittiaamiainen oli mielettömän hyvä! :)

    Jere2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's home is lovely and very spacious. We have comfortable sleeping arrangements for 5 plus a lounge area and use of the kitchen. Richard's communication before our stay was excellent. The home's location in Holt is a really good as a jumping off spot to visit Bath, Bradford on Avon, Avebury, Stonhenge, and Glatsonbury. We much preferred to stay in this smaller village than the busier cities like Bath. There are some nice pubs up the road for dinner. There is a small grocery store in town and a full supermarket (ASDA) not far. Richard is a wonderful host, very friendly. We highly recommend his home.

    Carolyn2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect stay! Richard is so communicative and gives swift replies. Very flexible with the check in. The house was very clean and spacious with a nice garden. It is easy to park in the area if you are driving (at least we got a car park right in front of the house). Richard is a fantastic cook, many thanks for such a good English breakfast. Thanks. Antonio

This is your chance to have a taste of boating life with much of the 'work' involved done for you. The 'Captain's Bedroom' is accessed via a secret doorway. It is a generously sized double in a snug cabin with low ceiling. Well heated with adjustable ventilation and elongated portholes for an authentic boating slumber. The bridge / wheelhouse is your point of entry via a set of 4 steep steps so you will need to be moderately limber. I will show you how to monitor the boat's vital statistics via the instrument panel and help is available for multi night stays. There is also a comfortable single foldout bed and a hatch to the kitchen/lounge area that can be closed. Please bear in mind that this room is colder at night as the heating ducts go into the bedroom and galley. The kitchen has a gas stovetop with kettle, tea and coffee provided. Some breakfast is included. Limited cooking facilities are available for small groups and I ask that you refrain from cooking meat on board. Organic produce, superfoods, juicer and smoothie maker can be supplied upon request. The main table will seat 4 comfortably and 6 at a squeeze. It also lowers to form a tapered double bed. The bows have an additional 'v-shaped' lounge which can be converted into a triangular bed which can sleep up to three at a squeeze or possibly 4 kids! A side door leads to the toilet which has a hand basin. The on - board shower is very small and has a limited supply of water. This is typical for a boat of this size. You will need to stick to brief showers - 2 min rinse - shower off to soap - 2 min rinse. Showering facilities are also available on land if you prefer a spacious setup with unlimited water. The train station shower is available from 9-5 and the sports centre from 6:30 to 10:30 (8 until 7 on Sundays). The additional costs for these will be included. Staying on a boat is not suitable for everyone. I have prepared most things but please be prepared to get involved in some aspects of boating life (eg running the engine to top up hot water). You may also meet an occasional spider despite my best efforts to re-home them elsewhere. If you enjoy adventures, memorable experiences and exploring a beautiful, prosperous city from a unique location, I expect you will have a great time. If you think of it like high-end 'glamping' then you will probably be pleasantly surprised.
Bath is a compact and friendly city with its distinctive and impressive sandstone architecture. There is lots to see and do with the advantage of everything being within walking distance. The satellite village of Widcombe has its own shops, cafes and pubs yet is very close and connected by the Halfpenny Bridge at the back of the train station. Formerly a toll bridge as the name suggests but now simply providing easy access by foot. The skyline walk is a 30 min loop with stunning views over Bath and Sydney Gardens, formerly a favorite with Jane Austen are also close by as well as several canalside and riverside walks.
  • What a weird and wonderful weekend. Dunstan was very hospitable and welcoming. Unfortunately we stayed on one of the coldest weekends of the year so very chilly but Dunstan provided hot water bottles and blankets to keep us warm! Thanks :)

  • I highly recommend Dunstan’s boat for anyone who would like to try something different/adventurous. The boat is very warm despite the cold winter weather. It is very clean with nice decor touches. You can tell the owner put a lot of effort in making the boat very welcoming for guests. Very unforgettable experience!

  • the great thing about AirBnb is not just the place, it's also about the people. Meeting Dunstan was a very nice moment. He s so positive, enthusiastic, and willing to share his passions. His boat is very comfortable and very well situated in the middle of the city. thanks a lot for the great time together !

  • Why stay in a room when you can stay on a boat? A scenic, central and unique location. Good if you're curious about boats and wonder how it would be like to live on one. Good, thoughtful hosting, and a memorable, recommended visit.

    Susanna2018-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • An unforgettable experience living on a boat! Dunstan is very hospitable and approachable! He showed us around, made us a special milk and led us to several adventures! The houseboat is beyond imagination and I highly recommend it as a site for people who like to try something new!

  • A great introduction to boating life. Quiet location close to the city centre. Dunstan is a welcoming host.

  • Very unique and cosy home on the water. Great quiet location away from the business of Bath but close enough to walk to main attractions. Excellent local pubs to go for a meal such as Ring-O-Bell.

    Samantha2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Dunstan's lovely boat was a great stay, perfect location to the centre, it had all the things we needed- tea, coffee etc. Dunstan is a fab host, providing amazing help with parking, recommends in Bath, and our little treats were lovely (we definitely recommend taking a river cruise to Pulteney bridge) and he even provided our breakfast, lots of little touches. Also the captain's bed is super comfy, slept amazingly well! Accommodation is pricey in Bath, so if you want a better value, quirky alternative we totally recommend this place!

A beautiful 1750s cottage in Bradford on Avon, voted by the Sunday Times as the best town to live in 2015, just 5 miles from Bath. The cottage is set up with 2 rooms with double beds, 1 room with a double and a single, and can host 7 people in the cottage. The original wash house for the terrace, has a lovely light and airy studio the garden with an additional king size bed sleeping 2, hence a maximum total of 9 guests. It is cosy, so suits smaller groups well as well.
In the cottage there are two rooms with double beds and 1 room with a double and a single, so in total the cottage sleeps 7. In addition there is a lovely light and airy studio in the garden which sleeps 2, or a sofa bed in the lounge. Travel cots can be provided, and an additional single mattress on floor if accommodating smaller children. Works well for couples, small groups of friends or families. Use of the studio for parties of 7 and under needs to be agreed in advance. If smaller groups would like use of the studio that can also be arranged but for an additional fee. The cottage oozes character with exposed wooden beams throughout the property, mullion windows all carefully crafted from Bath Stone, and the original staircase and floor boards in some of the rooms. It has a cosy wood burner for winter stays, and a small but perfectly formed garden to enjoy on sunny days. There is use of a BBQ in the garden and charcoal is provided. While the cottage comfortably fits 7, there could be room for 2 extras in the lounge/diner if necessary with the option of a sofa bed or with use of an outbuilding which has a lovely light and airy studio on top which has now been set up as an additional bedroom with a kingsize bed. There is no bathroom in the outbuilding so guests staying here would need to use the bathroom in the cottage. There is only one toilet located in the bathroom/ shower room, so with a large group patience maybe required at peak times. There is a full length mirror on the landing so guests can use this while getting ready to go out and minimise clogging up the bath room. There are smaller mirrors and hairdryers in each of the bedrooms. The sheets are all Egyptian cotton from John Lewis with quality bedding throughout. Guests have commented about the comfort and quality. The stairs are original and quite steep. Stairgates are provided if young children require them but please let us know in advance so we can put them up. We have many families with young children stay. People with mobility issues may however find the stairs difficult.
Bradford on Avon is a beautiful town on the edge of the Cotswolds with easy access to Bath. It is a beautiful town in its own right with plenty of sights and activities to enjoy. Many guests comment that they only wish they could have stayed longer. Bradford on Avon is divided into two halves - and this cottage is on the Bath side of town at the top of the hill. On the plus side, this means it quicker for access into Bath if you are driving, however while the centre is less than a 5 minute walk, there is a rather steep hill. If you are on foot, coming from the town centre back up, I would recommend using Whitehill or Woolley Street rather than Masons Lane as it is slightly less steep and less traffic. Guests with walking difficulties may prefer to drive down town and park. There is a variety of parking from free 1 hour parking, to paid 3 hour parking near the town bridge and all day parking at the train station. My list of things not to miss would be 1. The 1 mile walk along the canal to Avoncliff which has the lovely Cross Arms pub enjoyed by Kevin Spacey and the No 10 Tea rooms. It is a great way to take in the slow pace of the canal boats and get away from it all. 2. The Tithe Barn - and there are nearby playgrounds if you have kids with you 3. Woolley Grange for lunch or high tea. 14 acres of gorgeous gardens with a Jacobean manor house and lots of games in the gardens for children to enjoy 4. In the town centre - Fat Fowl has great coffee but also a hidden upstairs mini soft play for little ones. We also have the UK's Top Tea House - 'Bridge Tea Rooms' Favourite pubs Top of the Hill - the Castle and the George. The Castle is 100 metres from the cottage. Down town is the newly opened Timbrells Yard which has been opened by the company that runs River Cottage Cafe. Newly opened Pablos Tapas Bar in Lambs Yard has lovely tapas and margaritas.Once you have explored Bradford, Bath is a 10 minute train ride away and Bristol, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge and the South West coast are easily reached as day trips. I also love Avebury, Lacock Stourhead, Great Chalfield Manor and the Courts. All of which are National trust places between 5 minutes and 40 minutes drive from the cottage

    Laurence2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is not to be missed. Lovely cottage, lovely town! We are a family of 4. We arrived by car and easily find free parking in front of cottage. The setting is perfect to explore the town on foot. Cottage is clean, cosy and the interior tastefully done. The directions given was spot on, communication excellent before and during our stay. Thank you Teresa for all your recommendations (what to do, restaurants). We only stayed for 1 night, this was the only mistake.

  • We had a wonderful time staying in Teresa's beautiful cottage, a getaway for a few days with friends. The cottage is charming with lovely fluffy towels and very tasteful furnishings. Teresa stayed in contact by email, arranging an easy arrival & was kind in allowing us to tailor our booking. I would highly recommend both the host & the village

    Suzi2016-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa's house is beautiful and perfect for a weekend away. The location was scenic and in a quiet area but only a short drive from the centre of Bath making it perfect for a weekend away. It is also great value for money - working out much cheaper and nicer than many of the Bath hotels. We had a fantastic weekend and I would highly recommend a stay here - I most certainly will be back!

  • This was an absolutely spotless little apartment close to the Bradford-on-Avon train station. We loved staying a 10-minute train ride from Bath and wandering the little village at night. We took advantage of Mark's suggestion to eat at The Bunch of Grapes. We also found The Dandylion pub and had a few good meals there. We'd recommend this apartment and Mark to anyone with no hesitation.

  • Restaurants and coop are within walking distance. Very convenient for dining or cook yourself. Kitchen with all the necessary cooking ware, but it will be better to provide a non-stick pan. The environment is very quiet at night, and we can sleep well throughout our stay. Free parking (Woolley Street) is 5-10mins walking distance and uphill. Overall it was a great stay and easy access to Bath.

Relaxed, private apartment - Large double bedroom, fully equipped kitchen and luxury shower room situated on the ground floor of a Grade 2 listed Georgian building. In a quiet street just a short, pretty walk into the centre of Bradford on Avon.
The space provided is totally self-contained and private but there is a shared front entrance.
Bradford on Avon is an interesting and charming historic town with much to offer. Beautiful architecture some dating back to Saxon times. There are pretty walks along the river, canal and unexpected alleyways to meander. There is a great choice of restaurants, cafes, bars and interesting shops to browse. We are on the North side of town close to lovely hillside views overlooking the whole of Bradford on Avon.

The apartment was conveniently located in a quiet area, about a 10 - 15 min walk from the town centre, very clean and equipped to a very high standard. • Melissa was very welcoming and we had no problem checking in. Her place is absolutely lovely, clean, cozy and very homely. She stocked her cupboards with all sorts of snacks and goodies and there was fresh milk, juice and eggs in the fridge as well as some bread rolls for breakfast. We felt very much at home here and regret we only stayed for one night. A great find in Bradford on Avon!

    Boris2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • The hostess had continental breakfast items for us and the apartment had nice little extras like hotel shampoos and heated towel racks. It was a close enough walk into the beautiful little town centre of Bradford on Avon. I would stay here again and recommend it highly!

  • We were made to feel very welcome by Melissa. She had communicated well with all the arrangements prior to our arrival. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and very well equipped. We were left an array of breakfast items and even gluten free bread for my coeliac husband which was a lovely touch. Bradford Upon Avon is an interesting place to visit with independent shops, cafes and beautiful surrounding countryside. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying here.

'Downtown' at Terracotta Court in a unique apartment right at the heart of this beautiful town. You will love the views, the atmosphere and the position of our apartment, and the Sky TV and high speed WIFI are there for your enjoyment. The apartment is very spacious, and plenty big enough for two couples, or a family (we have a travel cot, children's dinnerware and a small box of games and books for toddlers/small children).
This beautiful 17th Century apartment in a grade two listed building is located right in the centre of town. You really couldn't be more central to all of the amenities that this lovely town has to offer. The spacious and airy apartment has one bedroom with separate dressing room and a stunning living room with views over the town to the front, and to the cafes on the square at the rear. The open plan kitchen is newly refurbished and has everything you need for your stay. We believe a good night's sleep is the most important thing during your holiday so the bedroom has been equipped with Laura Ashley Egyptian cotton sheets, the finest quality pillows and towels to create that little bit of luxury. There is also a day bed in the living room which converts into a large double bed if there are four people staying. The apartment just oozes charm and with its old beams, sash windows and original features you won't be disappointed. Bradford-on-Avon is a real gem and will easily provide all that you need for your stay but at just 15 minutes on the train from Bath you will be spoilt for choice of places to visit. The welcome pack and information box in the flat will provide plenty of inspiration for your stay but should you need more, I'll always be happy to help.
There are so many things to do in Bradford-on-Avon and within such close proximity to historic Bath, you won't be short of things to do. Both towns are awash with restaurants, cafes, museums, beautiful countryside and historic buildings.

  • Other than a late check in time and an early check out the place suited us well. The apartment is perfectly located and we'll maintained. The location is its major plus point. The place was warn and in good condition and ideal for anyone looking for an apartment close to Bath and the surrounding countryside.

  • Stayed at Alice's flat for a nearby wedding in the town. Good check in instructions provided beforehand and easily found from the main straight just above the teapot cafe (great breakfast there as well!). Perfect size and facilities for what we needed for the weekend. Lovely little welcome basket provided, flat was very clean and tidy and was good to be able to chill out and watch Sky tv. Comfortable bed too which is a plus! Only issue we had was parking - eventually ended up parking at the train station and walking to the flat as no available parking on any of the roads nearby. Train station parking not expensive for all day ticket however. Otherwise we had a great stay and would definitely recommend to others!

    Lisa2016-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • I ended up staying at another place that Alice booked for us since she had double booked by mistake. It was very kind of her to deal with the problem rather than simply canceling. We had some trouble finding the place since we didn't get the whole manual. Also had a problem with the fire alarm going off at night and couldn't get in touch with that host (Not Alice). Alice was very responsive.

  • The listing description was accurate and the property is very central to shops, pubs, supermarket, restaurants and tea rooms. Overall a great location!

    Simon2015-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was so central - we could see the co-op out of one window, Pablos tapas out the back and the amazing street from the front window. Bradford on avon is one of those old towns where the roads are tiny and buildings are ancient and close together. We were thrilled to be right in the heart of it. The apartment was clean and warm and had everything we needed. Parking in town is crazy, but Alice's instructions were spot-on!! Absolutely brilliant week spent there 😀

  • Penny was a fabulous host. She ensured that all our needs were catered for and it made a special occasion just that bit more special. The chapel itself was gorgeous, so well done and just a beautiful place to relax in the winters weather. Couldn't be faulted and if in need of another quick getaway we shall be right back for sure. Couldn't recommend enough.

  • As good as everyone says. Comfortable stay from top to bottom. Perfect location for lford Manor, Avoncliff, and Bath. Lots to do in the area.

  • Myself and my partner stayed at this gorgeous property for her birthday weekend in Bath. It was very easy to drive to and from Bath, and on one of the days we hired bikes from a local hire shop in Bradford-on-Avon and cycled into the city along the canal, so we found it to be the ideal location. The property itself was beautiful, clean, spacious, had a lot of character, was remarkably furnished and we absolutely fell in love with it. The host Penny communicated with us very promptly before our stay, and made it a no hassle, very enjoyable experience. A big thank you for the Gin and Tonic on arrival as well, it was much appreciated. We will definitely look to book again when we return to Bath. A massive thank you for making my partners birthday weekend a rememberable one.

  • Loved everything about this place! So welcoming. Definitely would be going back again. Thanks Penny xx

  • Absolutely stunning chapel conversion, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. We loved the area and did some lovely walks and visited some National Trust properties, all within a few miles of the chapel. The Cross Guns pub is a 20 minute walk away and has a wonderful riverside garden. We had a day-trip to Bath on the train from Avoncliff station which was great. The chapel would be hard to beat as a lovely base for a holiday break and we highly recommend it. Thank you Penny.

Welcome to our yurt (with electricity & fridge) in Bradford on Avon. Cosy yurt for two at the end of our garden, wake up to birds, geese and the occasional pig over our neighbour's wall. A peaceful space, if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle! Plentiful fields to stroll through 5 mins from the door, or wander down through town to explore along the river and canal paths. The town itself is caught in a time warp oozing architectural heritage.
I ended up living in this yurt for three years (this was not the plan!) while building our family house. I didn't mean to stay in it so long, but it was a pleasant time. Now the house is finished, I decided to give it a new canvas and pop it on here, so others can experience yurty life. Futon sofabed, in case you need to know, for your slumber. I ticked the gym box but this is more to include access to some old style training tools including Indian Clubs, Persian meels, pushup boards, dip station and pull-up bar. Out doors use only weather permitting!
We live on a quiet road, country walks, and quiet coffee shops, all close by, and we are a 16 minute walk from the railway station. Bradford on Avon is a lovely small medieval town, with some stunning historic buildings, including a Saxon Church and Tithe Barn. There is a concentration of places to eat to suite most tastes and a great selection of pubs. There are many lovely walks in the area, especially along either the canal or river - with an abundance of empty picnic spots, or pub stop offs! Or if spas are more your thing, 5 minutes down the road, you will find Woolley Grange hotel, with day visit options. We are 12 minutes by train/car from the wonderful city Bath, and 30 from Bristol (happiest city in UK). There are frequent trains from London Paddington to Bath, that take under 2 hours.... Shabang!
  • My daughter and I enjoyed the unique experience of spending a night in a Yurt. The Yurt itself was very cosy, and the futon bed reasonably comfortable. There was a wood stove that heated the yurt very well, especially on the rainy night we had! The bathroom was a common bathroom that the host family uses, and a few steps from the yurt to the house and down a hallway. For clarity, there are some lovely images of the kitchen in the AirBNB listing, but the kitchen is not for guests. The location is very close walking distance to the town of Bradford-on-Avon with good restaurants and shops, yet feels remote when in the Yurt itself!

    Susan2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • A nice little yurt, good if you are just looking for a night or two. Nice area, close to bath, Peter was helpful too

    Max2017-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect !! Peter wAs an excellent host aswell as his younger daughter who also made us feel right at home Stunning beautiful location. The yurt was amazing!! Sooo relaxing waking up to the sound of the birds Would highly recommend a visit. We shall definatly be returning in the future

    Bradley2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and Peter was very friendly and welcoming. Would stay again.

    Andrew2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Bradford on Avon is one of the most brilliant places to explore and the yurt makes it an even more unique experience. We had the most friendly welcome and found it to be an ideal base to explore the numerous national trust and beautiful countryside nearby. It was also a massive bonus that you can easily walk into town, we would definitely recommend it.

    Jodie2017-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Peter's yurt, it's a very lovely and cosy space that made us feel like we were very far from our daily lives- a good thing! It was very comfortable , and some details like the woodburner, candles and fairy lights made it even more relaxing. Peter was very nice and welcoming, and showed us everything we needed. The next day he gave us some recommendations for food in the area. I definitely recommend him and his yurt, and would stay there again.

    Rachel2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place was just as I had hoped: quiet and cosy. Despite the cold, crisp evening, the wood burning stove kept the yurt lovely and warm.

The Studio at Lynchetts is a self contained apartment for two in the heart of the historic town of Bradford on Avon. Its quirky styling combines luxury and comfort with a mid-century, Scandinavian feel. It's the perfect base for exploring Bath and beyond.
The Studio at Lynchetts offers boutique self catering accommodation for two in the heart of Bradford-on-Avon, an ancient, pretty town only 15 minutes from Bath. We offer all the luxury you’d expect (including a king size bed dressed with Egyptian cotton, rainfall shower and a fully equipped kitchen), styled with a mid-century, Scandinavian inspired twist. The Studio provides the perfect base for exploring Wiltshire, Bath and the Cotswolds, and is available throughout the year for weekly rentals and short breaks. The Studio room was probably the old kitchen for the main Lynchetts house, and dates back to the 1700s. With exposed beams, a large fireplace with woodburning stove, and parquet flooring in the shower-room, it retains a sense of history whilst offering an airy and comfortable space for you to enjoy. The Studio is designed for two, but we can happily accommodate babies or small children by request. The Studio has a living area with vintage style leather sofa, woodburning stove and TV/DVD player; a kitchenette with fridge, hob and cooker/microwave; sleeping area with kingsize bed, dressing table and wardrobe; sitting area with Sixties chair and vintage record player; shower room with rainfall shower and vanity unit; and a separate loo. Outside there is a private courtyard with table and chairs and a barbeque. You are also welcome to use the Lynchetts garden which has lawns, flowers, fruit and vegetables, an orchard, Georgian summerhouse, wildlife pond and amazing views of the town.
The Studio at Lynchetts is in the heart of Bradford-on-Avon, a stunning town with Roman origins, a beautiful Saxon church, and many buildings dating from the 17th Century when it was a thriving centre for the woollen industry. Today, the centre’s ancient buildings contain an array of shops including a deli, cheese shop, bakery and numerous boutiques, along with a wide choice of places to eat and drink.

  • We stayed in the studio when attending a wedding in Bradford-on-Avon and really enjoyed our 3 nights there. The studio is stylish, well-equipped, cosy and comfortable. The garden is beautiful, with amazing views of the town. We travelled there by train - there's no need for a car and it's fun to walk around the town and surrounding area. Good restaurants and pubs. We didn't meet Amy but had no problems picking up the key.

    Ann2016-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It really is as lovely as the pictures look. Shower, Fire, DVDs and record player...Great base for wanders and perfect for staying in at the end of the day to rest up tired feet...

    Emily2017-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing experience at this stunning studio apartment. Loved every bit of it, Amy made little touches that made us feel at home and welcome. My partner made the bold statement that it was the comfiest bed he's ever slept it, and I can't disagree! Bradford-on-Avon is beautiful and the journey to bath was far easier than I expected, trains often throughout the day and night. Cannot recommend this more, and I can't wait to stay again!!! Thank you Amy!

    Julie2015-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a lovely weekend in Amy's studio. We didn't meet Amy in person but she was helpful and quick to reply beforehand, and gave us plenty of info. We met her father instead who lives in the Bnb next to the studio and he was happy to give us plenty of recommendations for local places. The studio was exactly as pictured, very clean and everything we needed was provided (towels, bedding, tea etc), as well as extras like homemade jams! Bradford itself was so pretty, plenty of places to eat and just a short trip into Bath by train. Would definitely recommend!

  • We had a lovely stay, and enjoyed being so close to the centre of Bradford on Avon. The bed was comfy, the record player great! and lovely gardens. Thanks

  • This studio is fab, a real get away with all the conveniences you could want. The place is gorgeous, the garden is an extra treat and Bradford-on-Avon itself is the perfect backdrop for an idyllic trip. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, the extra touches provided by Amy (the record player, the books, the DVDs, coffee/tea etc) made for a highly memorable stay. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

This gorgeous historic row home is the perfect retreat for couples, families, or friends! The 4-story cottage comfortably houses 4 guests and is located on a beautiful quiet walkway just minutes from the heart of beautiful Bradford-on-Avon, in a historic Grade II listed building. Picturesque English charm straight out of a storybook!
13 Barton Orchard is a beautiful 18th-century row house located on one of Bradford-on-Avon's most prestigious and historical streets - Barton Orchard! The cottage is centrally located, halfway up a terraced hill facing out toward the lovely River Avon. It is a historic Grade II listed building, one in a series of four-story row homes that were originally built for textile weavers. On the ground floor, an incredible 18th-century cloth dyeing pit (covered over in the 1960s) was re-excavated in 2003 and now serves as a quaint writing nook! This charming two bed, two bath cottage is uniquely arranged over four floors and comfortably accommodates four people. The entrance on the ground floor opens into a spacious living room with a television, electric fireplace and cozy sitting area (including the historic nook!). The second floor features a bedroom with two twin beds, and a separate full bath with a large tub and shower nozzle. The third floor is where you will find the fully-equipped kitchen and dining area with a stovetop, oven, microwave, fridge, electric wood stove, and the combo washer/dryer. There is an additional entrance on this floor which leads to a lush alley behind the row homes. Finally, the top floor master suite features a full-size bed, master bathroom with stand-up shower, and television, with truly fabulous views overlooking the town! Wireless internet is available throughout the home. PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately this cottage is not suitable for the infirm or handicapped. A continuous wooden spiral staircase links all four floors, and while charming, it may not be the easiest for some to navigate!
Bradford-on-Avon is a 14th to 15th century miniature Georgian-style town in England's most beautiful West country in county Wiltshire, home to just over 9,000 people. Less than a half mile from the cottage is the town center, where you will find all manner of charming shops, restaurants, pubs, galleries, and markets. Within and around Bradford there are also numerous scenic walking and cycling paths, including a gorgeous route along the Kennet and Avon Canal. It is six miles southeast of Bath, a large Georgian city and popular tourist attraction, famous for its beautiful architecture - from Roman baths to grand cathedrals to majestic hillside homes. Bath can be reached easily by train in 15 minutes! One of Bradford-on-Avon’s perks is its central location to so many other beautiful towns and historic sites.
  • I had a great stay in a beautiful cottage & such a pretty village too! The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the details supplied told us everything we needed to know. I'll definitely recommend to my friends as a great place in a great location with great hosts :)

  • This cottage in Bradford On Avon is a beautiful and typically English place to stay. We enjoyed a fantastic week exploring BOA and it's surrounding areas, including Bath and Stonehenge which are all easily accessible by public transport. The cottage itself is fantastic, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy your time away. There is a great collection of books to read and easy access to plenty of lovely walks. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need, the beds were comfortable and wifi access was very good. We found BOA an extremely friendly village and really enjoyed chatting to many of the locals. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to enjoy an English village getaway.

Bradford on Avon is a really pretty village to walk around with lots of places to eat and interesting shops to visit. it is really easy to travel to Bath by train, just a short walk to the station and a quick trip on the train.

  • What a gorgeous, quirky little cottage. You have to take your time when navigating the spiral staircase, but it just adds to the cottage's appeal. The cottage was cosy, warm, ideally located, a home from home and a real gem! I'd stay there again in a heartbeat...

  • Barton Orchard was historic, delightful, warm and comfortable and just a quick walk to village. The staircase we handled very well for 4 older women. Bradford on Avon was quaint, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and so central to many attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay Anne, Annette,Janice and Cheryl from Australia

  • A charming cottage with a lovely view across Bradford on Avon. Perfect for exploring the area. No direct vehicle access and small windy stairs in the cottage to be aware of.

  • Our little group of two couples spent four lovely days in Hillary's delightful cottage, doubtless much enhanced by an unusual spell of warm sunny weather. Because Hillary lives in the USA, some rather minor problems were sorted out over the phone with her local caretaker. An overall strong recommendation in charming Bradford-on-Avon, which is also a great base for visiting Bath, Wells, Cheddar, and several other beautiful locations across Somerset and Wiltshire.

  • An old Weaver's Cottage is not a standard home. Over the years this house and developed into a cottage full of charm and quirkiness at each level - culminating in the attic guest bedroom, with huge twisted beams strengthened by some amazing steelwork and mega nuts and bolts. Everything for your visit is provided by the host, who is charming but unobtrusive - though happy to help with local information and advice. The twisted staircases and low ceiling might be a struggle for anyone with limited flexibility. Everything provide to make a lovely breakfast with some lovely furnishing throughout the cottage.

    James2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Katie is a most welcoming host. She provided exactly what I needed for my stay. If you have the opportunity, have you morning coffee and toast whilst sitting in the window seat in sun.

  • Lovely, charming cottage, super convenient for walking down to the town in just a few minutes, though the return is quite a steep hill so you need to be fit. You can hop on a bus (265) & be in Central Bath in 30 minutes. Katie shows you around, gives you the keys & you feel like the place is yours. There are lots of fun things around including a mini town of Sylvanian figures on the stair landing. Recommended.

  • I had the most wonderful stay with Kay. I had everything I needed, Kay had thought of absolutely everything, even down to a lovely welcome message in the room. The house is comfortable and homely. Kay and her partner Geoff are ever so friendly and welcoming, but also gave me my own space, I felt able to do my own thing. Kay made breakfast for me every morning and went out of her way to meet my rather strange dietry needs. Thanks very much to them both what a pleasure meeting you.

I like my guests to feel completely at home, and so the cupboards are stocked with basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil for cooking. I also supply milk and one or two bits and pieces for the beginning of each stay.
The neighbourhood Bradford on Avon is a beautiful town on the edge of the Cotswolds with easy access to Bath. The Chapel is situated on the Bath side of town at the top of the hill. On the plus side, this means it quicker for access into Bath if you are driving, however while the centre is less than a 5 minute walk, there is a rather steep hill. If you are on foot, coming from the town centre back up, I would recommend walking up the footpath through Tory which gives fantastic views over the town. Directions can be found in the guest book in the Chapel. Guests with walking difficulties may prefer to drive down town and park. There is a variety of parking from free 1 hour parking, to paid 3 hour parking near the town bridge and all day parking at the train station. There are plenty of great days out; The 1 mile walk along the canal to Avoncliff which has the lovely Cross Guns pub and the No 10 Tea rooms. It is a great way to take in the slow pace of the canal boats and get away from it all. 2. The Tithe Barn and Barton Farm with nearby playground for the children. 3. Woolley Grange for lunch or high tea. 14 acres of gorgeous gardens with a Jacobean manor house and lots of games in the gardens for children to enjoy 4. In the town centre - Fat Fowl has great coffee but also a hidden upstairs mini soft play for little ones. There is also the UK's Top Tea House - 'Bridge Tea Rooms' Favourite pubs Top of the Hill - the Castle and the George in Woolley. The Castle is just a 5 minute level walk away. In the centre of town newly opened Timbrells Yard and Ravello's by the Town Bridge. There is also Pablos Tapas Bar in Lambs Yard serving lovely tapas and margaritas. Once you have explored Bradford, Bath is a 10 minute train ride away and Bristol, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge, Stonehenge and the South West coast are easily reached as day trips. There are also plenty of lovely National trust properties to visit within a 5 or 40 minute drive from the Chapel, Lacock , Stourhead, Great Chalfield Manor and the Courts.
• We had a delightful trip. The property is both charming and secluded for a town house. I would recommend staying here for anyone wishing to explore this area.

  • What a beautiful space, gorgeous area and fantastic hospitality!! We loved our stay at this lovely cottage, the pictures really do not do it justice. Dinah was also really helpful will local tips, parking instructions and places to eat and visit, we appreciated all the special little touches that went into this space and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay as a party of 5 with a toddler! We will be back.

  • Superb hospitality and communication. Great facilities. I can’t recommend it enough. Wonderful place.

  • Beautiful location down a quiet country lane covered in flowers. A house filled with light and character filled with everything we needed. Check in was very smooth, and Dinah was very quick with communication. Thank you Dinah!

  • Dinah's place in Bradford on Avon is truly amazing. You will feel at home the moment you arrive. Warm, cozy and inviting, it oozes character and is in excellent condition. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable, great shower, kitchen has everything you'll ever need as does the laundry facilities. My two boys, aged 10 and 7 loved the DVD collection and the games in the lounge. The welcome basket containing the essentials such as bread, milk, butter, breakfast cereals and some snacks was much appreciated, especially with our late arrival hour. Very well located, quiet nights, polite neighbours and the heart of Bradford on Avon is a short walk away, Bath is a short 25 min drive through gorgeous country side. Plenty of space for a family of 4. I wish we had more time to spend there. We will be rebooking in the future for sure. I can't recommend this place enough, it is truly in a class of it's own. Dinah was a great host and was very accommodating to our travel plans that changed more than once.

    David2018-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • The Chapel was just beautiful and the descriptions are exactly what you get. A very nice welcome basket was waiting for us when we arrived and the cupboards were packed with essentials which was great. 10 minutes walk into town with loads of great restaurants. I would highly recommend hiring bikes and cycling the towpath. Bradford on Avon is a pretty little Town with lots to do in the surrounding area. Too much to list here. Dinah's cottage is full of charm and ticks all the boxes. The children especially loved it and we would hope to be back some day.

  • Great place to stay. Perfectly located about 10 mins walk from centre of Bradford on Avon & a long beautiful walk to Bath along the canal. House itself is lovely - clean, very comfortable & attractive. Dinah is a thoughtful host with plenty of attention to detail & a perfect welcome basket.

Other local places of interest include Longleat, Stonehenge and England's most exquisite formal gardens in Stourhead. 15 minutes away from the elegant Georgian city of Bath on the train.
  • Hans gave us a warm welcome and all the help we needed when we first arrived. The apartment was lovely, with great views over the river and into Bradford-on-Avon, as well as being perfectly situated for local shops and restaurants. It was a very easy to access the canal, the river, the station (for trips to Bath), as well as parks (for our children) and local attractions. It was great to have a few days in a lovely home and without needing to use the car at all during our stay. We would highly recommend staying here.

  • Brilliant location for the town and as a base for the local area. Hans and Jackie are warm, welcoming and thoughtful hosts. The apartment is stylishly and well equipped to a very high standard and is really comfortable. Highly recommended.

    Maggie2017-12-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this apartment was wonderful! Hans and Jackie kindly allowed us to check-in early which was a bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our evenings in the apartment, which had plenty of room to cook and relax in. It was decorated to the highest standard and so clean. Also, the beds were so comfortable (hotel quality!). The location was a massive bonus as Bath city was so close and easy to get to. We will definitely be recommending the apartment to friends and family and would love to return ourselves.

    Charlotte2015-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Hans and Jackie were absolutely wonderful hosts, very friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable about the immediate and surrounding area. The appartment is fantastic. It is very well kitted out and and the quality of everything in it is extremely high. The location is great - a couple of minutes from the station and a few minutes to the shops. It is a beautiful building too.

    Fiona2016-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very easy to find and Hans was ready to welcome us and show us around. Everything we needed such as milk, tea, sugar etc was provided so there was no need to think about nipping out to the nearest convenience stores. The beds were very comfortable and I couldn't imagine anyone having a bad nights sleep here. All the facilities were top quality such as kitchen and bathroom. The shower in particular was luxurious! It was great to cosy up in front of the TV at the end of the day too. I would recommend trying the local eateries recommended by Hans and Jackie. This is also a good base if you are particularly interested in spending time in Bath. The station is a short walk away and Bath is a very short drive through some very picturesque landscape. The station is also worth a visit if only to take a couple of snapshots! I really don't want to write much more as it would spoil the surprise of how nice it is to stay here. See for yourself!!

  • STOP SEARCHING AND BOOK THIS ONE! PERFECT FOR VISITING BATH & THE BEST BED & BREAKFAST WE'VE EXPERIENCED! Hans and Jack are fantastic hosts, greeting us like friends, carrying our 40 kg bag up a flight of stairs with a smile (then coming back down for a couple more!), and then showing us the goodies they generously gave us to get us started (Wine! Bread, organic milk, free range eggs, orange juice, water, delicious cookies, boutique soaps, shampoos, lotion, and much more). As a side comment, I asked if the tea house next door offered coffee and minutes later, a fresh full bag of specialty coffee was delivered to our door (we were amazed by the thoughtfulness of these hosts). Out of 18 airbnbs we have been to, this was by far the cleanest. The sheets smelled so fresh, under the bed frame was so clean you wouldn't be afraid there was dust, and the fittings of the place look and feel very new. The place is immaculate and super comfortable. You can tell that Hans and Jack are truly passionate about hosting guests and do this for more than just the money. My wife and 3 children under 6 years old stayed here for three nights with the intention to visit bath. We were surprised that Bradford is actually like a small bath with an amazing charm. Hans gave us an incredible suggested itinery for the day so we decided to skip Bath. We had Tea and Pastries at one of England's best tea rooms, then walked through the charming heritage town and bought a couple bottles of wine from the local wine shop, walked along the canal to a fantastic playground, then had brunch INSIDE a canal boat docked on the canal. We then browsed a bunch of the local antique shops in the area. It was truly a spectacular day and probably one of the best we've had on our 2.5 month roadtrip. Getting to bath was a short drive and parking was surprisingly very easy. They have a couple large car parks with tons of space - we parked immediately in the center for a reasonable price and had a very good day - but the day in Bradford still was much more memorable. We would stay here again and recommend to friends!

    Sarah-Jayne2015-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Hans was very welcoming and accommodated our request of an early arrival. The flat is in beautiful condition and is a perfect location for exploring Bradford on Avon with easy access to a train station into Bath/Bristol. The neighbourhood is very friendly and there are some lovely places to eat nearby and fantastic walks along the river - I would have loved to stay another day! The kitchen is well stocked with some basics which makes staying away that much easier. You have a wonderful pad Hans and Jackie!!

  • Totalmente recomendable !!! Excelente.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Kurt's apartment. It is a nice, modern and clean one-bed apartment, very welcoming and cosy. The kitchen has all the utensils that you would need if you want to cook. The bathroom is done to a high standard and the bed is of a good size and very comfortable. Plenty of parking space on the main road and is only 25 minutes drive to central Bath. Great that you have access to Netflix on the TV which is good for a night in. Less than a 5 minute drive to Sainsbury's which is handy. Would highly recommend

  • I couldn’t recommend Kurt and his flat highly enough. Comms with Kurt were amazing from start to finish, and the flat itself is beautifully appointed and very stylish. Much bigger flat than it looks on the photos and the value for money for very good. Close to station, great tips from Kurt on places to eat and drink make this an outstanding experience. A+++

Nestled in beautiful grounds, this quirky cottage is spacious yet snug with a stunning private garden and delightful views. It is situated on the edge of Bradford on Avon just fifteen minutes from Bath. The cottage has a kitchen with dining area & two further reception rooms, one with a woodburner.
Weatherstone is a unique, intriguing and characterful cottage, with plenty of parking space. It has a large, walled private garden with a patio, lawns, vegetable patch, trees and shrubs. It's a great place for children and a haven for people who love gardens. It's set in the countryside but also within walking distance of the centre of Bradford on Avon. A perfect space to relax and unwind, and there's also plenty to see and explore nearby.
Bradford on Avon is a beautiful, historic market town. It was recently rated the best small town to Britain to live by two leading newspapers (The Sunday Times and The Guardian). The town has lots of great places to eat, charming shops and lovely walks, especially alongside the river and canal. There's also a Saxon Church and a magnificent Tithe Barn. Beyond Bradford on Avon, there are many wonderful places to visit nearby, including National Trust properties such as Dyrham Park and Stourhead and Stonehenge. Bath and Bristol are also close by and the surrounding Wiltshire and Somerset villages and countryside are beautiful.
  • We had a lovely, relaxed stay here and can't recommend it enough for a break away. Simon was such a helpfully friendly host and made us feel very welcome. The property has plenty of room and a homely and calm feel to it, the location is great with the pretty town of Bradford on Avon on your doorstep, lots of areas to explore and local walks and about 20 mins drive into central Bath. Communication was great and check in was superbly easy and we received such a warm and enthusiastic welcome. Make sure you understand the directions to the place as is a little tricky to find, thankfully Simon was on hand to help us out 😀 A great place for a quiet and relaxed stay in a beautiful part of the British countryside.

    Iain2017-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a good well situated basic accommodation. We stayed in winter and so weren't able to appreciate the garden which I'm sure is very pretty. A few extra touches would make this a very pleasant stay. Simon and Isobel were very helpful hosts, helping with any issues and providing excellent directions which were needed as we arrived on a bleak wet night around 5pm in home time traffic and wouldn't have found the driveway without their directions.

  • A rare gem. Wonderful and beautiful place.

  • Our stay in Weatherstone cottage was great. The house is as stated in the description and the pictures. The rooms are big and lovely. The kitchen comfortable and with all the necessary utilities. The only inconvinience is that the bathroom is in the lower ground and the rooms in the first floor. Simon was a perfect host. He help us to arrive to the cottage as we were a little bit lost. He was accesible and very friendly. Over all it was a perfect weekend.

    Marta2016-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • A nice stay in a quiet location

  • A lovely, comfortable and spacious cottage not far from Bradford-on-Avon. Was perfect for a weekend with friends. Only downside is there's only one bathroom, but that's easily made up by the rest. Very clean and communication was great. Thanks!

    Tim2017-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Seven of us (all twenty-somethings) stayed at Simon's cottage and had a wonderful time. The house was cosy and there was more than enough space for us all, as well as facilities so we could make meals. The area was quiet, which was just what we were looking for, but also easy to walk into Bradford on Avon in 20-30 minutes. We caught the train to Bath Spa and did the Roman Baths, as well as having a wander around Bradford, so it really was the perfect base for us. Bradford is very picturesque with lots of quaint tea rooms, lovely walks and small, independent shops. Simon and Isobel were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We all had a lovely stay and I'd recommend Simon's place and Bradford on Avon.

Our town has many lovely churches and the bells ring beautifully at times. Bradford on avon has been voted one of the top 10 places to live in the UK. Its is a small cotsworld market town with Roman origins, with a rare saxon church nearly 1000 years old, and numerous tastefully converted victorian mills on the river. A dozen medieval and georgeon fronted mansions are testament to the once profitable cloth trade. All Bradford's buildings are faced in honey coloured Bath stone or grey Ashler limestone with a stunning back drop of weavers' cottages reaching up towards the sky. (URL HIDDEN)v

Josephine was so friendly and welcoming and I couldn't wish for a better host! I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who is looking for a break away from a hectic lifestyle!

  • We loved our stay at Josephine's place. She was so welcoming and kind, gave all kinds of great advice and some great local places for food/drinks. We had a wonderful time. The home is beautifully designed, and the room is spacious and comfortable though we spent most of our days out exploring. Its well located to the town centre, and far enough out to allow for an easy escape to the countryside. Perfect location! Thank you for the stay, we really love this part of the world!

Only 15 minutes by train from Bath, it provides the perfect base for exploring Wiltshire and the Cotswolds. The Studio has a king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, TV (including access to Netflix and Freeview) and Wifi. There's a well-appointed separate kitchenette with fridge and microwave, and a warm, brightly lit shower/wc. Ivy Cottage was a weaver’s cottage and we believe the studio was probably the original wash house for the wool, judging by the large copper bowls and earth floor we discovered when we arrived 23 years ago.
Bradford on Avon is a rare combination of river, canal and architecture of true character. Straddling the river, its winding alleyways and stepped hillside paths lead to glorious views across the town, to Salisbury plain. Romans, Saxons, Normans, Georgians and Victorians all left their mark, each creating a chapter in Bradford's remarkable story. For more than 600 years, the town was home to cloth-makers and weavers with a global reputation for quality. Today the centre offers a choice of award-winning restaurants, cafés and bars, together with small independent shops specializing in food, clothing and gifts.
  • The photos really don’t do this place justice! It’s a perfectly sized little studio with an outdoor space perfect for having breakfast or dinner outside on a sunny day. The property was incredibly clean with thoughtful touches that made it a lovely stay. The proximity to the centre makes it absolutely ideal! A big thanks from me!!! :) would definitely come back again.

  • We had an excellent stay at Sara's place in Bradford Upon Avon, highly, highly recommended. Beautiful town, with easy access to Bath by road or bike. The accommodation was faultless, very well designed; an excellent option for a long weekend.

    Will2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sara is a fantastic host who welcomed us to her fabulous studio cottage in the idyllic town of Bradford on Avon. We shared a weekend of firsts as we were Sara's first ever guests and it was our first experience of using Airbnb and we could not have been more delighted with our choice of accommodation. The studio is ideally situated for exploring all that Somerset has to offer, not that you have to travel far. Bradford on Avon is a bustling mix of old and new with a great selection of shops and restaurants - try The Bunch of Grapes, you won't be disappointed and the local fish and chip shop by the station is a must after a long day. Back to the accommodation, Sara has thought of everything you will need for a short stay, the bathroom is well equipped with a great shower, the kitchen, although small is perfectly formed with a toaster, microwave and fab coffee machine and the bedroom/sitting area is super comfortable and well thought out. Extra little touches were also a great surprise, especially the welcoming beer and wine! All in all we couldn't be happier and would definitely return should the occasion arise.

    Nicola2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little place. The decor is gorgeous - really quirky and well thought through. I also really liked the muesli provided! The bed was super comfy and the whole place was spotless. Finally, Sara and Gerald were very friendly and helpful, even finding me a choice of sleep mask when I was worried about it being too light to sleep. I would absolutely recommend.

    Melanie2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sara and Gerald’s property is absolutely gorgeous. It’s in a perfect location. Sara and Gerald were very welcoming and their little touches within the property make you feel at home. Well worth booking and exploring Bradford-on-Avon and nearby areas. Thank you both for your hospitality and making your property and amazing place to stay.

  • We have from the beginning felt very comfortable with Gay and Jonathan. The cottage is very nice and very lovingly decorated. The communication with gay was very good. She is very helpful and spoils her guests. We would like to come again. Thank you very much.

    Sabine 2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • A very lovely place with all expectations met. Communication was excellent from the date I booked the studio until the day we arrived. The studio surpassed our expectations including warm croissants waiting for us every morning! The studio is a short walk into town where we enjoyed a couple of excellent restaurants that Gay recommended. Gay and Jonathan are a wonderful couple; we enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely return.

    Iris2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Such a warm and welcoming space. Quiet and cosy, the comfiest bed and lovely warm fluffy towels! Lots of little touches that made the studio homely and luxurious. Exactly as described in the advert. Gay couldn't have been more welcoming and if/when we return to the area this will be our first port of call! Thank you very much

    Claire2017-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The croissants and the little bits in the fridge for us were a lovely touch. Beautiful location and ideal for travelling into Bath Spa! We didn't see much of the hosts but we still felt looked after. Thanks so much!

    Lucy2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • From the minute I arrived at tithe cottage I was looking forward to writing the review. From the warm welcome (note the narrow drive is not as daunting as it appears!) to the beautifully light and comfortable room, the little extras in the fridge, the warm croissants hanging on my door in the morning - it was textbook air bnb stuff! I will definitely be returning. Thank you

    Alison2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was perfect for a quiet getaway. Gay and Jonathan made it that bit more by providing all the essentials plus warm croissants ever morning. Would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Our stunning cottage has recently been fully renovated. We have 2 beds rooms, 1 with a double bed and the main with either a super king or 2 single beds. We also have a cot for babies. Coppice cottage is just a short stroll down the hill in to the hustle and bustle of Bradford on Avon but feels a million miles away. We are tucked away up no through road, so is quiet, a hidden gem a number of locals done even realise it is there!
Coppice Hill is a stunning little 'Chocolate Box' street - something out of a Hovis advert or from the front of a traditional Christmas card. Our cottage, Coppice cottage, has been restored with love. We have tried to put back the cottage's charm and soul. We want you feel that the cottage is your home from home, and we would love it if you would use the cottage like your own home, and enjoy it. In the main bedroom we have a Superking bed, this can be left as a Superking or can also be made up as 2 single beds. This bed will always be made up as a continental twin, so you don't have to deal with a duvet stealing partner! ( its normal on the continent, i have Belgian heritage, and i think its way better, hopefully you will to!) This room can also take a Travel cot, we supply all the bedding for the babies cot. The cottage and sleep 4 adults and one baby. We have added a number of little touches to try and make your stay more enjoyable. There is a log burner in the lounge for cold winter evenings, we supply you with logs, kindling and paper to get you going. We have a Nespresso machine in the kitchen to help you get up and going first thing. We will leave a number of capsules but if you are a big coffee drinker you may want to bring a few extra with you :) The cottage has a Smart TV so you can log in to your accounts and watch Netflix/Prime etc. No worries if you don't have these we will leave ours logged on so you can still enjoy movies/music. Having young children ourselves we supply a number of toys and books to help the children enjoy their stay too. We will ask your children's ages so we can make sure we pop in what will be suitable for your little ones. There is a growing number of books and games in the cottage for you to enjoy. Please do swap a book if you want to read one of ours. The stairs in the cottage are very charming but one one side there is no rail, the stairs are open. Please see the photos. I have very little children and they are absolutely fine with the stairs but it would be wise to watch children initially.
Bradford on Avon was recently voted the best place to live in the UK! having lived here for many years i would agree. It is truly beautiful, peaceful and buzzy all at the same time! We have a plethora of brilliant restaurants and pubs, my favorites being the Fat Fowl, brilliant children's play area upstairs, great adult space down stairs! and the Bunch of Grapes for a grown up, French, foodie pub. Also a large selection of independent shops, Instant Vintage is brilliant for one off affordable pieces, Strawberry blue offers stunning homeware - alot of which you can find in the cottage! There really is something for everyone in Bradford on Avon.
  • A beautiful little cottage, with excellent facilities. Set in a lovely area. We visited with 2 young children and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay

    Carly2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a perfect stay in this beautiful cottage, which is tucked away in a quiet, picturesque street. The cottage itself was well equipped, clean and cozy. Charlotte was great - always on hand to answer questions or offer advice and even provided a pumpkin for our boys to carve as it was Halloween (one of many little touches that made us feel welcome). The location is very convenient - a short stroll to the station where you can get the train to Bath (10 min journey). We would also recommend a walk to Avoncliff, where there’s a great pub at the point where the canal crosses the river via an aqueduct. We would highly recommend staying here.

    Daniel2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately due to the horrendous weather we received the weekend of the Bath half marathon (that was also cancelled), we couldn't make it down to Charlotte's cottage. We were so disappointed but cannot fault Charlotte for how great she has been. From day one she was extremely responsive and happy to help in any way she could. We received lots of recommendations, travel help and flexibility as to how we would like the beds etc. Whilst we were deciding whether it was safe to travel to Bath, she was very honest and even rang to have a chat through how it was there. The cottage looked lovely and we're so sad we didn't get to stay but will be sure to book it back up when we finally come to visit. Thanks for being so understanding Charlotte and very friendly!

    Emily2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the proximity to town and the way coppice Cottage has been decorated and furnished. Charlotte was very thoughtful in having a Christmas tree, decorations and treats for us. The cottage has a lovely feel to it and there are so many beautiful places to visit close by. We enjoyed a lovely weekend there and Bradford on Avon is only one stop away by train to Bath which was great so we didn't have to worry about finding parking and its quicker than driving.

    Rachel2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is my first review because it’s rare that I can recommend somewhere without some reservations... After spending the summer in California and then Switzerland, we wanted somewhere a little closer to home to visit this half term and I’ve always loved the Cotswolds. Coppice Cottage was even nicer than in the photos and located at the top of a really peaceful road at the end of some other pretty cottages! Loads to see and do nearby. Bath was a 20-25min drive away. Restricted parking outside however that’s part of the charm and I didn’t mind parking on a different road as Bradford on Avon has a choice of lovely shops to browse and we had a pleasant stroll through the village each morning... Beautiful sparklingly clean cottage with everything you will need kindly provided for by Charlotte. Read through her folder of information, we had two fantastic days out that we’re recommended in there and since I was on my own with two children, that was really helpful! Thank you so much for being the perfect host, this is the coziest most homely cottage I’ve ever stayed in and my children absolutely loved it too!

    Anthea2017-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, homely with everything you need. Perfect location to travel into Bath for the day too!

    Sean2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Coppice Cottage is a perfect cozy get away in a scenic and thriving town. Great amenities for self-catering, exactly as shown on the site. Charlotte was very responsive to our needs and very helpful. My mom and I had a lovely stay!

    Jennifer2017-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • As Charlotte knew we'd have our little boy with us, she kindly left suitable toys for him to play with. The cottage is gorgeous and Bradford on Avon is beautiful!

Set perfectly in the dramatic Avon Valley, Bradford on avon is a rare combination of river, canal and architecture of true character. It's no surprise that this place has drawn people through the ages. Stroll through the town and you will walk through time. Wander and wonder. The Romans, Saxons, Normans, Georgians and Victorians have all left their mark - each creating a chapter in Bradford on Avon's remarkable story. And Bradford on Avon continues to attract. When people discover our town it's hard to leave. That's why today it is a living, working and thriving community. A town with an independent spirit where people are involved and engaged, all keen to keep the town moving forward.  We think Bradford on Avon offers an ideal setting. Whether it's for a weekend break or some independent retail therapy followed by a meal or drink beside the river or canal. And because of our rare beauty is no surprise that Bradford on Avon is fast become a destination wedding town and centre for cycling, walking and other outdoor activities. We are also only 7 miles from the beautiful city of Bath.
  • Fantastic air b’n’b - clean, cosy, stylish and spacious - Carly has thought of all the little touches that make a stay all the more comfortable, the welcome basket was a particular favourite (& most welcome after a long journey). Carly was also very friendly and receptive to communications, giving me some advice on local traffic and also allowing me to check in early, both of which were appreciated. Thanks Carly & Karl, wouldn’t hesitate to stay again next time I find myself in the area :-).

    Amy2018-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This stay was excellent. Completely self contained with off street parking & good wifi. All amenities were available with a good selection of breakfast items. There is also a private little courtyard garden to sit out in on a summer's evening.

  • Carly was welcoming and very quick to respond to our messages and needs and was very thoughtful with little things such as a welcome pack and a lot of information on the local area. The annex was really clean and cosy with a lot of privacy. Perfect for a little getaway with a large bedroom and wet room as well as part of their drive to park our car. 10/10 :)

  • The place was absolutely spot on. Super clean and very well thought out. Carly went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable and stress free. Without a doubt if our travels brings us in the area we will be back.

  • Beautifully stylish and well-equipped property. The photos can't convey the perfection of this accommodation. Super comfy bed and large sofa. Spotlessly clean with an abundant supply of fluffy towels and toiletry supplies (including loo rolls!). The outdoor space is perfect for relaxing and is a sun trap 7-7. Carly is charming and very friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Can't recommend this place highly enough and we will return.

    Martina2018-07-04T00:00:00Z

Steph's place is a semi-detached family home, with its own parking and a lovely garden, on the Trowbridge side of Bradford on Avon. It is less then 10 mins walk to the Kennet and Avon Canal for bike and canoe hire and the River Avon. It is also a 10-15 minute flat walk to the centre of town where there are lots of lovely restaurants, cafes and shops.
The house has two double bedrooms and a single room with a put up bed plus space to put a floor mattress for a sixth guest - if they don't mind sharing (probably best for a child or teenager). There is a wood burning stove in the reception room, with a TV that also plays DVD's. Patio doors from this room lead onto decking and into the garden. There is internet access for those wishing to use laptops/ipads etc. This relaxed, comfy home has hard flooring throughout downstairs, so if a well behaved dog is an additional guest that is not a problem. The kitchen is open plan with a lovely dining area that has double doors opening onto the garden for that alfresco feel. The kitchen is well equipped with a dishwasher, double oven, and American style fridge. Off the kitchen is a utility room with a handy double sink and space to leave boots and coats.
There is lots to do in Bradford on Avon, walking, cycling, canoeing and of course opportunity for eating and drinking out with some retail therapy too. Bath and Bristol are very accessible via train, which is handy for culture, visiting students at Uni (or for them to come here). Also MOD Corsham is not far away if families need a break from quarters or are visiting.
  • Thoughtful touches eg milk, coffee, tea, sugar, toiletries etc provided even for 1 night stay

  • Large spacious house in the lovely town of Bradford on Avon with modern facilities and nice intricate touches Lovely caring hostess

    Kevin2018-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in this accommodation. The host is truly lovely and made us feel very welcome. The property (especially the kitchen) is very well equipped and Steph left some special touches which we really appreciated. We had family visit us during our short stay, and the children had great fun playing in the secure outside garden area. Highly recommended.

    Nicki2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to stay. There was a slide for my daughter to play on. The kitchen is beautiful and the rooms are great. I highly recommend a stay at Steph’s place.

    Marlene2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stephs place was a beautiful home suited to family and others. Only 20 mins from Longleat and 20 mins from Bath, as well as a really nice Canal walk on the door step we much enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend Stephs place.

    Marie2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Steph was a brilliant host, the house was super clean. She was very accommodating as we arrived a bit earlier than planned. She was super friendly, replied quickly to messages and gave good advice on local restaurants ect

    Leonie2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing house, absolutely wonderful host. We booked for 2 nights but missed the first night because of an unexpected incident. Steph was away the next day and could not be there, but her parents were at the house to greet us. They were extremely considerate and offered us to stay for another night, but sadly our schedule was tight and had to leave for the next destination. :( The house is very clean, spacious and well-designed, equipped with full cooking amenities and condiments for us to cook a big meal. The rooms were lovely decorated, the living room and dining area being much larger than what we expected from the photograph, and Steph provided an additional airbed as requested. The garden was beautiful; there were gooseberries and raspberries growing, an apple tree with lots of shades; we had a relaxing after-dinner tea in the garden, watching the sky changing colour as night falls. It was such a shame we weren't able to stay longer, and a pity we didn't see Steph in person. Would definitely recommend this place, and looking forward to staying here in the winter to use the fireplace!

  • This is a real gem of a place. Perfectly situated for the lovely town of Bradford on Avon and also for walking/cycling in the area. The room was quiet, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Barbara was welcoming and very helpful in making local recommendations. We cannot recommend this Airbnb highly enough.

    Ian2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and comfortable. Lovely view of the canal. Great spot.

    Luke2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room and facilities. Superb location on banks of canal. A lovely welcoming host. Would definitely stay again.

  • Lovely place to stay and great host. Super location just near the canal and easy walking distance to the town centre.

    Lynn2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures really don't do this lovely space justice. The spotlessly clean ensuite room is light, bright, and spacious with a nice little sitting nook with tea supplies on hand. The windows look out onto the canal, which is very nice! Barbara (and her son Jack) are a real delight to meet, and she's gone above and beyond to make everything cozy and convenient! She also has great tips for enjoying the lovely town of Bradford-on-Avon. I would absolutely hope to stay here again the next time we visit the area! Thanks Barbara and Jack!

    Liz2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated Barbara taking the time to chat to us when we arrived. As the room was on its own floor it did feel semi-private. Great location as town was just a 5 minute walk away, and Bradford-on-Avon was a lovely little town to explore!

    Kat2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara and her son Jack were lovely hosts. The room (plus dressing room and en-suite) were light, airy and extremely clean. The bed was very comfortable and little touches like the tea and coffee as well as the breakfast biscuits added to the comfort of our stay. The house is beautifully located for Bradford on Avon Wharf as well as the town. Would love to be able to find time to return before Christmas as I can see that it is a great location for the Christmas festivities that will soon be going on both in BoA itself and Bath (with it’s famous Christmas market)...Bath being only a very short hop away on the train. I’m sure that we will be planning a return trip.

    Dawn2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. We could not have had a better host in Barbara, who made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was spotless and beautifully decorated. Very comfy bed and great view from the windows. We cannot praise this accommodation highly enough. Great location and we would give this 10/10. We Highly recommend this property.
