My place is close to Hull University. 5 to 10 minutes walk away. Also cafes and bars of Newland Avenue and Princess Avenue where you will find an array of cafe bars and shops. We are in a conservation area and though it is in the city, it is an oasis of calm. We are surrounded by beautiful trees so waking up to the birds singing in the summer is lovely. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers. We provide a continental breakfast.
King size bed. Fibre optic super fast wi fi. Desk and chair in the room. Tea and coffee in the room.
Our neighbourhood is a conservation area. Larkin the poet once lived here and his house has a blue plaque. It is very quiet as it is not a through road so has very little passing traffic, though the students use our street to park during the day. We however have plenty of off-road parking.
  • Nous recommandons sans réserve la chambre de Ron et Karen. Très calme très propre très joli et leur extrême gentillesse.

Huge 2 bed, 2 bathroom, 3rd floor apartment. Nestled between the old High St and the River Hull in Hull's historic Old Town. Panoramic views over 2 rivers (Hull & Humber). Take a seat by the bar table and enjoy with a drink. Free secure parking.
Introduction The apartment is located in the heart of Hull's historic Old Town along the long cobbled lanes of the old High Street, amongst the listed buildings and old, restored warehouses, and nestled snugly beside the banks of the River Hull and River Humber. This is a quiet and affluent area of the Old Town. There are lovely bars and restaurants close by but it’s peaceful if you need to rest. Whether you are coming for a holiday, a romantic trip, to see family or to work, you should find everything you need within the apartment and within the Old Town quarter. The Apartment The view from all rooms in the apartment is breath taking. Looking Southward over the two converging rivers you can while away the time watching trawlers carefully picking their way down the Humber. Beyond the Humber you can see the rolling green of villages for as far as the eye can see. It’s even better at night and takes on a moody and dramatic feel when the tidal barrier and The Deep aquarium light up in stark contrast against the dark waters. If you tire of watching the rivers then enjoy picking out the old warehouses of the restored Fruit Market and Marina. There are many dotted amongst the tightly packed roofs of these historically significant areas. The apartment has free broadband / Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on e-mail, shop, work or research. The furniture throughout the apartment is a blend of modern, pre-loved and antique. Many of the items have a personal story behind them. The apartment is secure, warm, quiet, well sealed, insulated, with double glazing and is perfect for resting, relaxing or quiet entertaining. There is a welcome pack which covers the basics of where to eat, drink and get supplies, and should answer any questions you have about the apartment. The apartment is family / children friendly. Living Area The living area is large with plenty of good, natural light all through the day and there are lots of seating areas including the elegant, vintage dining table, modern bar table and the incredibly comfortable, soft leather couch with large cotton cushions. You can enjoy the water views from all parts of the living room. The carpet has been designed in the style of Art Deco and its simple, striking, geometric pattern brings the eclectic mix of furniture and vivid colours together. There is a large (42") LCD TV with Freeview and a Blu-Ray DVD player too and the Sony CD / iPod player is always ready if you want to enjoy the views with music (there are around 60 CDs which are kept in a wallet nearby which should cover most tastes). Kitchen The kitchen and living room are open plan so you can cook for yourself, or other guests, and entertain at the same time if you want to. We try to keep the basic supplies in to make your arrival comfortable and to avoid you having to rush straight out. Eggs, milk, butter, bread and plenty of other bits and pieces. If you need something specific then please ask. There is good coffee (beans) with a grinder and French press / cafetière and some lovely tea choices. There is a built in fan assisted oven and hob as well as a microwave, kettle and toaster. The cupboards are full of cooking utensils and pots and pans. There is a large integrated fridge with freezer compartment and there is also a washing machine if you need to do any laundry. Master Bedroom There is a beautiful cherry wood sleigh bed in the master bedroom. It’s a double bed and all of the bedding (duvet, pillows, throws, cushions) and towels are provided for you. The bedding is Egyptian cotton, as are the towels. Spare towels are provided too if you're staying a while. The bed has everything you need to get comfy. 4 very good quality pillows, a cotton throw, cotton cushions of different sizes and a duck feather duvet. There is a wall mounted LCD TV if you want to relax and watch TV in bed. There’s a beautiful antique linen box and a beautiful, vintage wardrobe (with good quality, wooden hangers) for hanging your clothes. The master bedroom also has its own ensuite bathroom with a large enclosed shower area. New York Bedroom The second bedroom carries an elegant New York theme throughout. You have a double bed, again with everything you need to get comfy. The bedding is Egyptian cotton and the cushions and throw are cotton. The duvet is duck feather as are the cushions. There is a lovely vintage floor lamp and a side table and armchair with a nice big cushion if you want somewhere quiet to sit and read, or just to think. There is a simple and elegant clothes rail with good quality, wooden hangers for your clothes. Bathrooms There are two bathrooms. You should usually find shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and a fresh toilet roll in each as well as a heater and an oak wood duckboard. The main bathroom has a vintage style radio (feel free to move it between the bathrooms) and is very spacious with a good sized bath, shower, large mirror and antique laundry basket. The ensuite has a large shower unit and a good sized mirror. Parking You have your own secure, undercover parking bay within a private carpark, within the grounds of the apartment. Your allocated parking bay for the apartment is just a few metres from the entrance to the building. If you have a second vehicle then there are options for this right nearby. Area It's a short walk to Hull New Theatre (about 10 minutes). Hull Truck is a little further (about 15 minutes). You are also near to The Deep aquarium which is a 5 minute walk, as is the museum quarter. You are already on the Fish Trail (between the Ice Fish and the Eel). Best of all you already in Hull’s historic Old Town quarter and just a 2 minute stroll to the Marina area and the bohemian Fruit Market area (Hull’s answer to New York’s Lower East Side….seriously). They offer a vibrant and cultural eating and drinking experience. Everything you need is nearby and just a short stroll away including a food market, indoor market, cinema, shopping malls, bars, post office and many restaurants. Transport Links You are a 5 minute drive from the North Sea ferry terminal connecting you to mainland Europe. A 12 minute walk to the Hull Interchange connects you to the rest of the UK by train or bus. You are a 30 minute drive from Humberside airport and a 10 minute drive to the M62. Local taxi companies can pick you up from outside the building or there are a number of taxi ranks nearby too. Booking If you are more than 4 guests then please get in touch. It may be possible for the apartment to sleep more than 4 by arrangement in advance. The apartment has two double beds, two bathrooms and a single fold away bed. I try to be flexible and can sometimes take one night bookings if they're not more than a week or two in advance. Please ask and I will try.
It's a quiet area of the city but there is everything you need. Listed / period buildings are everywhere. Wander along the river or take a walk by the Marina or just get lost amongst the cobbled streets and hidden bars. The water is everywhere. Beautiful during the day and spectacular at night.
  • A great host with a fantastic little place to stay. Great communication from the very start, and Gavin met me at the property to welcome and show me around. The apartment was just as described, if not even better. Located in a nice, quiet block which is very easy to get to from main roads into Hull, and an easy walk to the centre. When the rest of the family arrived to drop off their stuff we settled and relaxed there for a few hours as it was just so nice and comfy. Also a well decorated and stocked apartment, with tea / coffee / snacks and all the little finishing touches which make a short stay here SO much better than some hotel. A highly recommended stay.

  • Wonderful place, perfect for our family vacation. We specially appreciated the bread, milk, butter and eggs provided. It avoided to run out to get groceries, we could do that later that day. We fully recommend it.

  • Gavin is a great host. He is very welcoming, friendly and helpful, and provided a lot of information to make our stay very easy and enjoyable! This is a lovely apartment which is very conveniently located to lots of amenities in town. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!

  • This is a bright, modern flat with everything you could need, situated in the Old Town. Gavin was a model host with great communications. We were very grateful for the welcome pack of soft brown bread, milk and butter, with many other food items available in the cupboards. A great base for our weekend wedding trip.

  • Our host was delightful - friendly, courteous and helpful. The apartment was perfect and exactly as described - and the welcome pack of bread, butter, milk eggs etc very, very welcome. We LOVED staying here. The guest pack provided gave us all the information we needed about our locality and was full of useful, relevant information - thank you! It really felt like our home from home. I would very, very happily return to stay again at this apartment. Location was great - Hull Old Town literally on your doorstep, and it's full of interesting places - including the wonderfully named street called Land of Green Ginger!

This twin room is the second room we have listed out of three. Our street is a hidden gem, in a conservation area with the feeling of the countryside in the city. We provide a continental; breakfast. Taxi to city centre £7.00 or bus £1.50 approximately
We have plenty of parking on site. Two beds. Desk and chair. En-suite, shower toilet and sink.
Quiet and leafy street. Safe area and only 5 to 10 minute walk to the uni. 10 minutes walk from bars, cafes and shops.

  • Karen and Ron were really lovely host and showed their warmest hospitality throughout my stay. The house & room was very clean, spacious and nice, the environment was quite and they even prepared nice self-service breakfast for the guest. After my booking, they replied my questions very quickly so I had no worries before my visit. Highly recommended, especially someone has to visit Hull university, which is 10 minutes walk from their house.

20mins to City Centre (via public transport) easy access to public transport (10min walk to the end of the street is a direct bus to city centre) 15min walk to KC Stadium. 10 min walk to cosmopolitan area, coffee shops etc 10min walk to the university. Access to communal areas, kitchen, washer Easy going household. On road free parking Narrow side drive for secure motor bike storage. I also have a double room available for up to 2 people and a Super King room for 2 people.
Cozy, single room in my 4 bedroom House. My house is clean and tidy but not a 5 star hotel. A small single room (suitable for 1person) with large single (4ft) bed (standard single beds are 3ft6"), designed to give you maximum facilities and comfort in a small space. There is a wardrobe, a TV and chest of drawers. Hangers in wardrobe, mirror, hair dryer. Please note this room is a SMALL, cozy room but great value for money, it's £18/night.
The neighbourhood is a lovely, sub-urban area of Hull. It's a professional area and not far from great night life of Newland Ave. Please note we are in the city not the country so there is traffic and pedestrian noise as you would expect in a built up area. Ideally located for Hull City Centre. 30-40 min walk or a short bus ride. KC Stadium is only a 10-15min walk from the house for any football or rugby fans. There is also a newsagent 6 doors up the street open 6am- 10pm, 7 days a week. They sell pretty much everything you need. The end of our street is one of the cosmopolitan areas of Hull, Newland Aveune where you will find a plethora of coffee shops, bars and restaurants along with some unique Independant clothes shops. Princes Avenue is only a 15min walk away. Fairly centrally located for access to most of Hull, free on road parking if you have a hire car.

    Giulia2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gill was a very good and caring host, as was Kelly. Unfortunately I couldnt stay the whole rented period.

    Mike2017-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Good location with high street close by. Felt extremely welcome and Gill whilst not there followed up regularly. GREAT value and house and garden divine

    Tina2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gills place is very clean and not too far from the bus route into town. I had the 'small cozy room' which was as expected. The only downside was that the mattress was sagging badly in the middle so I kept rolling into the dip, didn't make for the most comfortable nights sleep. But Gill is super organised and on it, so check in/out was easy.

Welcome to the quiet leafy Avenues area of Hull it's a short walk to the many and varied restaurants and bars of the buzzing Princes and Newland Avenues. It's about 1.5 miles from the city centre and all the City of Culture activities as well as Art Galleries, theatres and many museums. Also a great location for the coast, Wolds Way, Beverley and about an hour from York. Continental breakfast offered. Use of kitchen and BBQ. Travel cot available. Good public transport close by.
  • This is a great place to stay in Hull. The house is set in a beautiful, quiet, tree lined area of Hull with shops and eateries nearby. There is parking in front of the house. We took our bikes, and found plenty of cycle paths around and in to the centre from Ann's house. Ann is the perfect host, and she has a beautiful and comfortable house.

Everything went very smoothly making arrangements beforehand. The house is beautiful & lovely bedrooms. We enjoyed a very nice leisurely breakfast before our departure. Thank you for everything Ann it's a 10/10 from us. We followed one of your tips of visiting the Streetlife museum which was great (especially the foot massage machine!). Thank you again!

Converted by English Heritage, this is a grade 2 Listed building. Overlooking Trinity Square, and Holy Trinity church, the property is fabulous.
In the heart of the Old Town... the apartment overlooks Holy Trinity Church in Trinity Sqaure, with shops, bars, and the Museum Quarter within walking distance. Also within a short walk, Hull Marina, the Deep Aquarium, the transport interchange and citys main shopping centres St Stephens, Princess Quay. The KC stadium is a 10 minute drive away.

  • A very cosy and tidy apartment, makes you feel very at home. I think it's the first shower I was able to operate without completely burning and freezing too. Has all the essentials you could need and a nice level of warmth. The host made us feel welcome right away. It's also only a few minutes away from the Odeon and a smallish shopping centre.

    Joey2017-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tim and Jen's place was situated slap bang in the middle of old Town and opposite Trinity church. Everything was mostly within walking distance. Secure parking was available, though the turning into the gates is extremely tight and I have a longer type of car, so I had to reverse into the gates each time, so you'll need to be a confident parker (or be traveling with one!) to account for this. Apartment was nice, spacious, and mostly light. The high windows definitely helped! Noise was OK during the week days, though we were woken up a number of times due to some building works and dustbin lorries as the apartment is looking over the cobbled road. The church bells also go off every 15 minutes. If you're a light sleeper it'll probably wake you. We came into contact with Tim during our stay, and he was very friendly and very accommodating when a couple of things went wrong on our trip! (these things happen right!) Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a cheaper place to stay for a few days. Thank you!

  • Really enjoyed my stay with Vicky and Dave - during a long weekend in Hull. The house is cosy and warm, the bed comfy, the room very quiet away from the road and neighbours - while you don't need to wander far if you need to use the loo in the night. I was left to my own devices, happily ate in the kitchen, watched a little TV and sat with the family cats, two handsome boys. Gomez was particularly friendly enjoying lots of attention - if you are a cat lover - you are in luck. The house is good for shops - a late night supermarket is five minutes away - along with places to eat and drink - both Princes Avenue and Newland Avenue - two popular locations - are within easy walking distance. Town is a short bus ride away but you can easily walk it - while a taxi ride won't break the bank. With hopefully much to see in 2017 - Hull is the UK City of Culture 2017 - Vicky and Dave have picked a good time to start hosting guests. I hope to be staying with them both again soon - highly recommended.

  • Vicky and Dave are very warm and hospitable and their home is very comfortable. The room was great with a beautiful view over the gardens and many trees. Nice, quiet neighbourhood not far from the university. Easy bus ride into Hull with lots of great Culture to experience as part of UK City of Culture 2017. Would highly recommend staying here if you're in Hull, it was like staying at a friend's place.

  • Vicky and Dave made our trip easy and care-free. They were welcoming, warm hosts who were completely flexible. At the price we paid I was amazed at how accommodating they were. We'll be booking in here again.

  • Vicky and Dave have a lovely house, and they are both very welcoming and helpful. The room is very cosy with a comfortable double bed and peaceful views over garden. All was very clean. I had a really nice stay and can highly recommend this host.

  • Victoria and David are very warm and welcoming hosts, going above and beyond to make you feel at home. Lovely neighbourhood and I would definitely recommend for a single traveller who wants a friendly place to stay!

    Alexandra2017-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Yicky and Dave's beautiful house lies in a quiet quarter in the vicinity of the university. The room is sunny - absolutely quiet, looking into the vast green, having a little terrace overviewing the garden. I loved the good talks we had - after the rich breakfast. At the end I had the feeling to part from good friends.

    Thomas2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodating hosts, perfect quick stop over for my partner and I!

    Alice2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • My friend actually stayed with Vicky and family, simply due to lack of time having come up to Hull for a funeral. Clare writes: "Nick booked on my behalf, due to airbnb software challenges, so this is a review by Clare. My first experience with airbnb, and a very positive one staying at Vicky's lovely home, which is very comfortable, relaxed and quiet. Vicky and her family and cats made me feel very welcome. Their home is in a pretty area of Hull, a short bus ride or brisk walk from the delights of the Ferens Gallery, Maritime Museum and Humberside, including a lightship unique to the Humber. It's also not far from Newland Avenue, with its range of independent shops and cafes. Even closer is Chanterlands Avenue, with a good pizzeria for takeaway, and the delightful Vintage Cafe."

  • Helen was a very friendly host. Immaculate flat, clean, decorated and furnished to a very high standard. I only stayed for one night but would have happily stayed here longer term. The flat has everything one needs for a longer stay. Location in the nice market town of Beverley, with easy access to Hull and York. Highly recommended!

  • Fantastic apartment right in the centre of Beverley. Helen was great, keeping us informed right up until we arrived and was really friendly. Can't recommend enough!

  • This is a real gem in the heart of Beverley. We stayed with another couple for two nights as we were attending a wedding just outside the town. They arrived by train and found the walk from the station really easy. We drove and having the parking space there was fantastic, especially as we knew we could leave the car somewhere safe. The location was fantastic. Being right in the middle of town meant walking to restaurants and shops was a doddle. The apartment itself had everything we needed, and despite its central location was homely and quiet. Helen met us upon our arrival and gave us a tour, answered any questions we had and reassured us she was always on hand if we needed anything. A really great place, with a really great host. Thank you.

    Anthony2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Helen is a fantastic host! She made us feel very welcome and gave us all the information we needed. Great communication, flexible and accommodating to the car parking. The apartment itself is great! There's no better place to stay in Beverley - Tescos is 30 second walk away and the town centre is 30 seconds in the opposite direction. Perfect!!! Thank you so much for everything!!

My home is close to the city centre shopping, Cinema, Restaurants and Dining. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness. I have 2 Labradors and 1 Cat- so good for pet lovers too! My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups. Home from home environment. Twenty minute drive to the East Yorkshire Coast. Next door is a Deli and Coffee shop. This is the loft bedroom, really comfy and spacious, and access by a staircase.
There is a large Kitchen with Dining Space. Lovely Court yard Garden.
I live very near the Beck, there are three pubs minutes away. Also Beverley Leisure Centre and Flemmingate shopping centre with Cinema. Figham Pastures is lovely for walking with views of the Minister.
  • We booked with Sarah last minute as we needed a place to stay prior to a equestrian competition at Bishop Burton College. Sarah was so helpful the day before - helping me with arrangements even though it was a bit last minute she went out of her way to make things as easy as possible for us. Lovely host, Sarah went out of her way to ensure we all had a comfortable and pleasant stay. Her house is lovely and cosy with 2 extremely welcoming labradors who just love saying hello. A real home from home - can't say much more than that. Throughly recommended and would definitely stay again if over that way. :)

    Jade2017-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Would not recommend. After we arrived late due to circumstances outside our control, having phoned as soon as we could, we got a decidedly frosty reception and things deteriorated from there. This included an attempt to then charge us for more than was agreed, amongst other things.

    Grainne2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • the photos on the website really don't do justic to this accommodation. The bed was comfy and the room was spacious with a large sitting area. Sarah was lovely and very welcoming, making us feel like old friends. The only slight criticism is would make is that at this time of year (May) when it starts to get light early, some blinds on the Velux would have been welcome but otherwise I can highly recommend this accommodation.

  • Beautiful house located in Beverly, about 5miles from Hull city! The location wasn't a problem at all as we had our own transport. There is a bus from Beverly to Hull city and the cabs only cost us £9. Such a beautiful neighbourhood and Sarah was a brilliant host! Thank you so much for having us.

Our Edwardian home is warm and comfortable and bursting with character The bedroom we are letting is a good size, with a double bed, wardrobe & chest of draws for your things. The bathroom has a bath and shower and is shared by guests and ourselves. The outside area is lovely and our garden is undergoing a transformation. We are two minutes walk from restaurants and shops on Chanterlands Avenue and ten minutes walk from the buzz of Princess Ave's restaurants shops and the beautiful Pearson Park.
Our beautiful Edwardian home is in the historic Avenues conservation area. A stroll around the Avenues reveals interesting architecture, gardens and several blue plaques showing information about the famous people who lived in this area. We are so close to shops restaurants and the city center yet The Avenues retains a friendly village feel. Although our garden is undergoing work our outside area is very nice with a south facing aspect and many plants and seating areas. The house itself has lots of original features such as fire places, elaborate plaster work on the ceilings and beautiful original art deco style stained glass. The house has a welcoming family feel and is full of character.
Walking in the local is pleasant, the beautiful city park is ten mins walk away. Many very interesting building can be seen nearby.
  • Lovely place to stay at. Very friendly host and is next to a small supermarket

  • We had an excellent stay with Ruth & John. They were excellent hosts!! We will definitely stay there again if we're in the Hull area. The house is centrally located and close to all amenities. Great value and lovely people, we would definitely recommend. Oh and Koko the dog is adorable!

  • Ruth & John made me feel extremely welcome in their home. A lovely comfortable room & one of the best nights sleep I've had for a while! I will be back

    Alison2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and John's home just outside Hull city centre is lovely, and they are excellent hosts. We enjoyed talking with them and they were very helpful about the city. Their home is located near the Newland Avenue area in a park-like neighbourhood, but just off a convenient main route with nice shops and easy access to public transport. The room was large and comfortable and the bath equally so, including a nice tub for a post cycle soak. (Oh, and importantly, they are cycle friendly with a secured shed in the garden). Ruth had tea and cake for our arrival, which was very kind, and a lovely breakfast of cereals and fresh fruit, complete with Dylan on a suitcase turntable! We were only there for a night, which was too brief. We would love to return. Cheers Ruth and John.

    Michael2017-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and John's house in a nice quiet part of Hull was a home away from home for us. Close to bus services as well as the lovely Princes and Newland avenues, the location couldn't be better. Not to mention the place itself, which is beautiful and spacious, and most of all homely, with Ruth and John looking after us as well as anyone could! Would recommend 100%.

    Jackson2017-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, beautiful cozy home and very close to the city center. They 'll sure make you feel home!

    Ricardo2017-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Ruth and John were very welcoming and I picked up my first shiny conker of the season on the tree-lined avenue where they live. It's a short and easy bus ride from the city centre - bus info available at the Travel Centre at Paragon Interchange train and bus station. You want the bus that drops you on Chanterlands Avenue, which is the right end of Westbourne Avenue. Also try their local Italian restaurant - the Piccolo just around the corner. An excellent meal and a comfy bed - both highly recommended.

    Di2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My second stay. A pleasure to be Ruth and John's guest. Explored princes avenue at the top of the road. Variety of restaurants and lively bars.

  • Nice clean flat very well placed. Main problem was the bells from the church which ring every 15mins 24 hours a day. This did keep up and had a very unrestful sleep as such. Could have done with more than half toilet roll provided.

    Tom2017-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication. Ideal location, under ten minutes to the docks with a great number of cool bars and restaurants. And perfect communication from Gil. I will book again next time I am in the city!!

  • The flat is very well located and extremely clean in a nice old building, but which could use some updating. Tea and (instant) coffee provided, no breakfast or snacks or anything. Gil's communication and instructions were very clear, which made my stay in Hull easy. Good value, would recommend.

  • Great location, and excellent communication with Gil. If you're tall, then you might find the head height on the mezzanine level a bit of a struggle. And the steps up and down to that level would be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. But I'm not tall and have no mobility issues so found it a really good place to spend a night. Everything was as described. Loved how peaceful it was, despite being in the centre of town. A 10-minute walk to the train station. Buses closer than that. Right in the heart of everything. And yet quiet. Thanks Gil!

  • A lovely stay. Wendy was really welcoming and gave us loads of useful local tips and advice. A great location, close to nice bars and restaurants and bus links in to the city centre.

  • I booked Wendy's for my husband and son, who were in town for a gig. Wendy was hospitable, friendly and helpful. Wendy's home was beautiful and they were made to feel very welcome. Absolutely recommended, and it's an total bargain!

  • This review can't be long enough for me to describe how much we enjoyed staying in Wendy's house. I travel a lot with airbnb and I would say that she is one of the nicest and the most interesting people I've met through my travels. Her house is quite, welcoming, very clean and nice. I've also spent hours talking to Wendy and she cared so much about us, helped us to get around Hull (which is the nicest place to visit). We were so happy staying at her place, that we didn't want to leave at all. The place is just one short bus ride from the train station and really easy to get to. It is located in a very quiet and pretty area. I am actually not quiet able to say about the money and value, because meeting Wendy, staying at her place and visiting Hull was the priceless experience. Thank you for everything.

  • Lovely comfortable, well equipped place to stay. Close to different eating areas & just a bus ride from the city centre. Wendy was great recommending where to eat & what to do. We'd love to return & explore more.

  • This is such a fantastic place to stay if you are visiting Hull. Wendy is an excellent host, with a great house and garden - well located on a lovely avenue. The private accommodation is very good. We really enjoyed our breakfast too. We cannot recommend this highly enough. Thank you, Wendy

  • Wendy's home is a lovely and very comfortable period house located in a leafy and very quiet area of the city. All amenities and restaurants are close by. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. A little fridge is made available to guests with a selection of soft drinks, breads, jams and all one needs for a perfect continental breakfast. Wendy is a perfect host and a lovely person. I would highly recommend staying at hers to anyone travelling to Hull for leisure or business

My place is close to the city centre, in the bohemian Avenues area of the city. A short walk from the city's cafe bar and restaurant culture, and a beautiful inner city park. You’ll love my place because its a large bright airy place, newly decorated, with the addition of artworks by local artists reflecting the quirky side of Hull's character. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
The apartment is a large spacious 1 bedroom studio apartment, as part of the large 5 bedroom Arthouse. The apartment has a private entrance to the rear. The studio space has a comfortable living area, dining space and bed. There is a separate self-contained kitchen and bathroom.
The house is located in the leafy Avenues area of the city. It is close to local shopping areas, the city's cafe bar and restaurant strips are within a short walk, as well as a beautiful city park. The area is a short travel to the city centre, easily accessible on foot or via public transport links close by. If guests want any recommendations of places to eat and drink in the neighbourhood, just give us a shout.
  • The house is beautiful - great to be able to sit outside in the peaceful garden and the room is comfortable and stylish. The bed is really comfortable.

  • Good value accommodation in a good location, which is walking distance from shops, restaurants and bars. It is well-located for visits to The Deep, which was the purpose of our visit, and the area is pleasant and quiet. Rich and Christina were on hand to offer help in any way, if needed. The bedroom/sitting room was spacious and the kitchen and bathroom both met our needs for a short break away. There is a shared garden outdoors and plenty of parking space behind the security gate.

  • Great location in the leafy suburbs of Hull. Lovely quiet area to walk about. Hosts were wonderful and checking in was very easy. Only a about 6 mins by taxi from the train station, £6-£8. Nice garden area to have a coffee outside in the morning. 20 minute walk to the University of Hull. It has everything you need!

  • This is a lovely little flat in a beautiful house. Our arrival was very easy and being able to park the car on the premises was really helpful. We had everything we needed (including a plethora of city and events guides) in a very clean, tidy and tastefully decorated bedroom. The small kitchen and bathroom were more than adequate for our 2 night stay and I'm sure would be sufficient for longer, again both were clean, tidy and in very good nick. Rich was very helpful making our fairly late check in easy and making sure we had tea, coffee and fresh milk as well as pointing out where local shops and restaurants were. Location is great, Park Avenue itself is an uncommonly beautiful street and the nearby high street had everything we needed in terms of food etc. The bus ride to town or to the university was short, easily manageable and seemed to be on a busy route with frequent buses.

  • Without doubt the most fun Airbnb trip I've had. Maggie and Graham could not have been more welcoming! They invited me to join them for a drink in the sun and I'm glad I did - you're not going to find two friendlier, more entertaining Airbnb hosts (I definitely haven't, and I've met some amazing people) and the room itself was lovely and very close to transport into Hull. 10/10 would book again ;-)

  • Prior communication and directions were excellent. This was our first airbnb experience and we didn't quite know what to expect. We were met with a friendly welcome and shown to our room and also a tour of the house. Our stay was to visit Hull and with the train station being a 5 minute walk, the location was fantastic. Maggie also gave us a few local taxi numbers which were really handy. With a late return and an early morning departure, we didn't get to spend too much time with Maggie and Graham, which was a shame, as it was a lovely evening for a glass of wine in the garden! I wouldn't hesitate to stay with such lovely hosts and would highly recommend ro all. A real home from home.

  • 2@109 is just a great place to stay if you're visiting Hull. Close to the restaurants and bars on Princes and Newland Avenues, but not far from town. Nowhere in Hull seems to take more than 10 minutes to drive to! The accommodation itself is superb. All the rooms are beautifully presented, and the facilities are excellent. The sun room and the whirlpool bath are great assets. The kitchen was by far the best equipped of anywhere we've stayed - we had more than enough of everything we needed. The weather became a bit chilly during our stay but the flat is really warm. We felt very relaxed and comfortable here - a real home from home. A very nice one! We'd definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

  • This is a beautiful apartment with everything you could possibly need, including some outside space which was perfect because we had beautiful weather! The rooms are all decorated and furnished to a high standard and the location is great. You can walk to local shops and restaurants and the street is wide and tree lined, it has a real feeling of luxury to the whole destination. The kitchen is well equipped, the shower is powerful and there was plenty of hot water - always a blessing! The bedroom is first class, with a lovely four poster and plenty of storage to hang clothes, oh and of course a great jacuzzi bath to relax in after you have been walking round the city of culture all day! We would highly recommend this apartment and next time we are in Hull we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Elizabeth! We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your beautiful apartment, it was a perfect treat for a super weekend in Hull.

  • This was our second stay in the apartment and it was just as good as we remembered. Our daughter was graduating from the university and the apartment proved an ideal base for us over a couple of nights, in a good location within walking distance of Newland Avenue and with secure parking. There is also plenty of room for visiting friends and family to mingle, although sadly the rain prevented us from enjoying the sun room and private garden. The kitchen is well equipped, sometimes when a rental states it sleeps two, you find yourself with just two of everything, but at 109 there is plenty of crockery and glassware for entertaining, plus the convenience of a dishwasher. A lovely 'Welcome' tray with tea, coffee and hot chocolate, individual boxes of cereal, a pint of milk in the fridge and pain au chocolat, plus a box of chocolates was a really nice touch. Check in is easy with a keysafe containing the basic set of keys, accessed via a code which is sent over the Airbnb website. We would thoroughly recommend the apartment. Really convenient if you have family at the university, but also would be a real home from home for longer stays. Our only regret is that we didn't discover it until our daughter's final year.

  • This is a comfortable and convenient apartment in a prime central location, close to everything in the historic city centre and with Hull's impressive 'Cultural Quarter' on the doorstep. There is plenty to see and do and the whole central area is pedestrianised and easy to meander. There are a range of restaurants, though we found some of the older pubs offered good quality food and an impresssive range of drinks, at very reasonable prices. Slightly further afield the wonderful market town of Beverley is not too far away and the seaside too is close at hand, should you wish.

    Dermott2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Pete's flat is spacious, clean and very well equipped. There was milk, cereal, fruit, teas and coffee all waiting for us which was a real treat. We left our car round the corner is a secure gated car park which was very handy. The flat is bang in the middle of the old town. The main museums are 2 minutes away, 5 minutes to the harbour with a massive choice of restaurants and about 7 minutes to the Art Gallery and Maritime Museum.

    Maurice2017-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal for exploring the old town, the museum quarter, the new marina, the restaurants, the old pubs, and ideal to public transport (15 minutes walk to Hull interchange with trains and all buses). Flat had everything we needed. We liked the breakfast items left for us.

  • Great location right in between all of the places we needed to go. While we were there on work and didn't get to see too much of Hull enjoyed the time we had. Apartment was great and its so nice to have some fruit and milk in waiting for you so you can have a cup of tea in the morning. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

    Sebastian2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy to get to, people really nice and helpful, could not have asked for more.

    Maxine2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Ideal bolthole for anyone planning to check out Hull's City of Culture credentials - clean and modern first floor riverside apartment ticks all the boxes, including generous welcome pack of fruit, muesli, milk and tea/coffee options, secure parking can be arranged and Pete lives just around the corner and is a friendly and informative host. Great pubs and restaurants close at hand, as well as museums and docks area.

  • Great place to stay, very convenient for the old town and town centre, quiet, comfortable, good facilities, we liked that tea, coffee, milk, fruit, muesli and toiletries were provided.

  • Nice large flat. Large bathroom, one main bedroom and one two bed single. Secure parking and lock box for convenient check in. Towels provided by host and tea and coffee. Good kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. Nicely decorated and very clean. Good communication with Bronwen prior to arrival. Close to town centre an 8 minute walk from the central square.

    Rhys2017-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • My mum, sister and I really enjoyed staying in Bronwen's Apartment One accommodation. It is centrally based, just 12-15 minutes walk from the nearest supermarket and shopping area. We found everything just as stated on the advertisement for this apartment.

    Janet2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described: perfect place to spend a few days exploring Hull. The flat was clean with plenty of space. There were actually only two of us - but as it sleeps 4, it would be very comfortable for a small group too. Easy check-in (with keys in a lockbox) and Bronwen was very flexible with our check out time too which was appreciated. Overall Bronwen was super helpful ahead of our trip (sending maps and phone numbers for herself and her partner) and we had all we needed and were very comfortable. Extra touches like fresh milk, tea/coffee and biscuits were also appreciated. Wonderful stay in Hull, thank you!

    Ariana2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience using Airbnb and Bronwen made it an excellent one. Her excellent communication made the whole process hassle free and enjoyable. The apartment itself is in an excellent location walking distance from the city centre. It's clean, comfortable and well presented throughout. Bronwen even gave us a fresh bottle of milk to I could enjoy a nice cuppa on arrival. Thank you for letting us stay and I'll see you again whenever I'm back in Hull.

  • ALL WAS JUST PERFECT! I RECOMMEND THAT PLACE AND OWNERS! THANK YOU FOR ALL, BEST REGARDS; NATALIA

    Natalia2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location with secure parking. Under a 10mi ute walk to the city centre which is mostly pedestrianised. Clean, easy apartment to live in. Although in a city location, was not too affected by road traffic.

    Jean2017-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Bronwen went out of her way to provide a clean, comfortable, inviting flat for us. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it as a great place to stay for anyone looking for a home base when visiting York or the surrounding area.

A funky pied a terre in the bohemian Avenues area of Hull, the UK's city of culture. This well-equipped first-floor apartment has a large sitting room with smart TV, large bedroom with ensuite shower room and a retro-styled kitchen with washer-dryer, microwave and fridge-freezer. There's free superfast broadband wifi, and off-street parking is also available free of charge if required.
  • A really nice self-contained flat - two large rooms, and a compact but well equipped kitchen. It was probably in the nicest part of Hull. We were well looked after by Elizabeth and would not hesitate to rebook

Ideal room and location for the solo traveller coming to Hull, City of Culture 2017. The room is light with a large window overlooking a beautiful garden. It is softly decorated, creating a sense of calm. The large single bed is comfortable with Egyptian cotton linens. Tea facilities are provided in your room. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen for breakfasts. The house is in the conservation Avenues area with excellent public transport links to the City and University.
The area is very quiet and yet conveniently situated for shops, restaurants and the City Centre, also the University. Pearson Park with its beautiful trees and architecture is a ten minute walk away.
The neighbourhood is friendly with a sense of community. People are often surprised at how quiet it is. The street is tree lined with planters situated along the verges which the residents take care of.

A small mid terraced new build house, situated in a small close at the heart of the Avenues. Recently redecorated to a high standard with a good sized guest room and Kingsize bed. Sanderson Close is located at the end of Ella street just a 10 min walk from the vibrant Newland and Princess Ave area which has a variety of cafe bars and restaurants. Walking distance to the university and Hull city centre. Approx 30 minute walk or 10 min car ride.

The area is well located, 10 mins walk from some nice restaurants and shops and not too far from the city centre. I would definitely book here again.

Set directly opposite Pearson Park in the tree lined avenues of Hull most pleasant residential area, Number Seven is all about comfort, flexibility and a sprinkling of design flair. Your self contained accommodation offers stress free access with a parking space mere feet from your accommodation, fabulous location, a welcome breakfast, and all the convenience of having your own kitchen area. We call it as BnB plus. We look forward to giving you a warm welcome to Hull, a city of hidden gems.
We designed and built the apartment at Number Seven between August and December 2016. The accommodation exists as a self contained annex within my home, and part of the joy of designing bespoke lodging from the ground up is the freedom it gives you on focusing on it's prime purpose and then adding some desirable extras. The main room is 5 meters in length, the combination of lashings of natural light and well chosen fittings lending it a light and spacious feel. We added amenities we thought you would enjoy, such as 48" HD smart TV with all your catch up favourites, youtube and a selection of free movies that pivots for comfortable viewing be that from bed or seating area, USB charging sockets, soundproofing, thermal insulation, a fully equipped kitchen and an independent heating system meaning you can set the perfect temperature you enjoy be that for relaxing or sleep. I am not someone who believes rental accommodation should be laminate floors and melamine wardrobes, so you will find some very pleasant furnishings and fittings, a welcome king size bed with quality mattress and cotton rich bedding, tactile fabrics and floorings of tile, real slate and the finest Westex pure wool carpet. I am particularly proud of the lighting design - we placed all the main lights on dimmers and combined them with lamps and light features while adding a colour scheme and fittings that allow for the interplay of light leading to some lovely options for setting a homely mood for you to enjoy - we really do encourage you to have a good old play with your fun options. We even installed a Hollywood mirror, so no excuses for not looking and feeling your most glamorous on a night out :-) We provide breakfast on the first night of your stay with us, so if you are just with us briefly on leisure or business then you don't need to worry about gathering supplies for the morning, no matter what time you check in you know you can spend your evening relaxing knowing it's always nice waking up to a treat as breakfast is included. Tea, coffee and cooking condiments are also supplied along with towels and toiletries. We hope you enjoy our offering.
Two minutes walk from your accommodation you can choose either Princes Avenue or Newland Avenue with a myriad of independent bars, restaurants and retailers covering anything from Thai Fusion to Moroccan, Italian, Mexican, Indian, Fish and Jamaican through to Modern English. In summer it is THE place for alfresco drinking and dining. Pearson Park is opposite the house. Your access to the accommodation is via private road, which means it is both quiet, and offers excellent vehicle security.
  • even cosier than last time, with warm mats underfoot and more screening from the parking area. jon is very accommodating and helpful and I would definitely return if in the area.

  • We are from York but needed a place for a couple of nights while visiting Hull hospital. Jon was friendly, helpful and made extra little touches like leaving a lovely breakfast for us which was very handy. The room was exactly as we expected from the photos - clean, modern and a massive TV!! Great place for short stay if you are out and about exploring.

    Harry2017-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay. Ideal location close to city centre but with a lively local vibe with shops, bars, restaurants- would take weeks to check it all. The apartment is pretty much perfect for an active visit. Comfortable, stylish, quiet and flexible space with kitchen adjoining a spacious bed/seated area. Great for adventuring in Hull and peaceful for resting up in between times. Jon provides a great welcome and a comprehensive breakfast, which lasted us for more than one morning! We were very happy with everything and much enjoyed our visit to the city of culture.
