“The closest hungaian restaurant: Puli Traditional Hungarian restaurant in central Budapest, on Andrassy Street between Opera, Oktogon and Ferenc Liszt Square. The restaurant’s authentic, friendly atmosphere speaks for itself, and the staff make every effort to give you an unforgettable experience. Tastes of Hungarian cuisine: goulash soup, roasted foie gras, paprika chicken, beef stew, cottage cheese dumplings. A plentiful choice of beverages: Hungarian wines (Badacsony, Tokaj, Villany, Eger, Szekszard) traditional beers and high quality brandies.”

Museum
“Museum of Hungarian Trade and Tourism is more than a museum. It shows what life looked like decades or centuries ago through the lens of trade, gastronomy and tourism, activities that have always had great impact on people's everyday life. Not only a museum but a community space with programs and concerts in coherence with their permanent or temporary exhibitions throughout the year. It is a bit off the beaten path, but check our guidebook, you'll see that this neighborhood is worth a half or even a full day visit. Write us and we'll help you to plan your holiday!”

“Szegedi Halászcsárda on Belgrád Quay is a downtown restaurant, specializing in fish dishes. Since its opening in 2010, the restaurant became rather popular due to its traditional cuisine and professional catering staff. The chef learned the profession’s tricks at Szeged, and so the fish soup is strictly made with a “base broth” (dense, blended mixture of carp and African catfish), and the fish innards are cooked in small noodle bundles alongside the fish slices, too, so that the soup will have all the goods a fish could offer. Most of the ingredients the kitchen uses are from near Szeged as well, including the onions, paprika and fish. The atmosphere of the restaurant is further improved by the live performance of a gypsy band every night, to crown a great dinner and beautiful view with some pleasant tunes.”
