“Great hungarian style food. The owner is also the running the factory of TISZA cipö, the hungarian shoe brand. Search for Tisza cipö and you can buy and take a pair of original hungarians with you home!”

“Major place in Budapest. You’ll also find the National Gallery! It’s not really useful to visit the castle because there is not so much to see. ”

“10 min walk along yellow tram line (2 stops-2 min). Beautiful interior style with historic finishes. Renovated to its original condition (1894). Great bar with piano player for adults to enjoy. Select from same cafe menu to enjoy dinner. Enjoy looking around at beautiful decor and take a moment to explore the hotel lobby as well (Boscolo Budapest Hotel). Reservations recommended for cafe. Separate dining room available as well on main level. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g274887-d970327-Reviews-New_York_Cafe-Budapest_Central_Hungary.html Open AllD 8am-12am”

Museum
“13 min walk. The Hungarian National Museum (Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum) standing in Kiskörút is the largest museum of Hungary. It is a building of unique beauty, which introduces Hungarian culture and history in approx. 8000 square metres. Throughout the 200+ years since its foundation, the museum has collected a huge amount of artefacts, archaeological, historical, and ethnical relics, which bring closer the history of the people of the Carpathian Basin. https://mnm.hu/en Open Tu-Su 10am-6pm”

Route
“I am recommending this spot only because it is quite an important party scene in Budapest with plenty of bars, restaurants and night clubs. However it is also very touristy so am trying to avoid it most of the time myself. But you can have a beer here just to taste the atmosphere - and if you like it, go for it!”

Hot Spring
“Budapest has at least fifteen large thermal spas, open to the public and evocatively designed in various period styles. Two Turkish baths that survive are particularly enchanting: one of my favorite the Rudas Medicinal Baths. I recommend the Night Bathing every Friday and Saturday night between 22:00 till 4:00. This is an unforgettable experiance, if you try the hot water pools in the Turkish part or the pool on top of the bath, where is an amazing view of the city.”

Club Discothèque
$$
“What is it? Located in the same building as veteran club Fogasház, Instant is still the biggest ruin bar in Budapest, with two courtyards and seven bars, all of which stay open until six in the morning, seven nights a week. Why go? For a mesmerising, dreamlike experience that incorporates live evening performances and late-night raving, you should really head to Instant. If you’re not impressed by the sheer scale of the place, you’re sure to be enchanted by the eclectic artwork and canopy of weird, hanging sculptures.”

Lieu de musique
$$
“A38 is a Budapest institution! They have concerts of all kinds, including international touring acts. It is actually an old Ukrainian freighter that has been converted into a multi-level nightclub and concert venue. It's certainly worth checking out. They serve food as well as drinks, and you can almost always catch some Hungarian acts performing.”

“Vörösmarty Square is the most elegant pedestrian zone in Budapest. It lies at the northern end of Váci Street (fashion street) and above the western end of the Millennium Underground (Metro line 1). On the north side of the square stands the eclectic Gerbeaud House, home to the world-famous Hungarian confectionery.”
