Restaurant cajun / créole
“Without a doubt the most famous restaurant in the Quarter, the New Orleans staple is a locals destination. The typical New Orleanian might go for lunch, but after many drinks, will stay for dinner. Many locals have their own waiter who has served them for “over 30 years.” The atmosphere combined with the food and drinks will leave you with sweet memories. Jacket required! Favorites: Speckled Trout, Shrimp Remoulade ”

Café
“THE STORY BEHIND FRENCH TRUCK French Truck Coffee was inspired by a bag of coffee brought to me in 2009 by a cousin from San Francisco. The coffee had been roasted only two days before I made a cup, and drinking it was an experience I will never forget. It opened my eyes to a concept that is at the core of all good food: use the best, freshest ingredients you can, treat them properly, serve them immediately, and the results will always be better than mass-produced. We buy the best beans we can find, roast them in small batches, and get them to you promptly. Your coffee’s roast date is right on the bag so you know exactly how fresh your coffee is. Thank you for supporting our mission to serve the best small-batch, fresh-roasted coffee! -Geoffrey Meeker, Owner”

Bar
“This is a cake shop (mainly) where you can sit at a bar, choose your slice of cake, and the bar-keep will pair it with a cocktail. (Or, you can go rogue and eat something savory from the menu with a diet coke, but I recommend sticking with the program.) Doberge cake, in case you don't know, is one of sugar's greatest wonders, and these people have been called upon by the dazzling gods of Doberge to make cake for us all be reminded in a cocktail lounge. Cocktails and cake. All kinds of good. ”

Café
“If you're downtown and need a pick me up, this is a great spot to grab a cup of coffee! They have a simple, focused menu and are expert in preparing all their drinks. One of the best pour-overs in the city too! Be warned that they have recently raised their prices to what I would consider a bit unreasonable, but if you don't mind paying for a quality cup of coffee you're in good hands.”
