“The intersection is home to a well known sushi shop called Sukiyabashi Jiro. It was the subject of the 2011 documentary film Jiro Dreams of Sushi. In 2014, it was visited by Barack Obama. The restaurant has a highly coveted 3-star rank in the Michelin Guide. The owner has met half of the celebrities who visit Japan. It's amazing where dedication to good fish can take you. “Since 1936, Kyūbey’s quality and presentation has won it a moneyed and celebrity clientele. Even so, this is a supremely foreigner-friendly and relaxed restaurant. Expect personal greetings in English by the owner Imada-san and his team of talented chefs, who will make and serve your sushi, piece by piece. For a real treat, order the kaiseki (Japanese haute cuisine) menu served on pottery by famed artisan Kitaoji Rosanjin (¥31,500). There's an exhibition of Rosanjin pieces on the restaurant’s 4th floor. ”

Centre commercial
“新橋・汐留 Shinbashi Shidome Gate of Tokyo Bay Shinbashi has a public image of a platform for so-called salary-man (male office workers). Hundreds of casual and reasonable izalaya are open until late hours. When you see a drunk salary-man interviewed on TV, that’s propably as Shinabashi. Walking through Shinbashi will lead you to a stylish city of Shiodome. Tall buildings make up the city of great night view of restaurants in high floor buildings. Explorethe starting point of Tokyo Bay cruising. Feel the different seasons at the Hamarikyu Garden, a famous Japanese garden near the ocean. ”

“With staff in black waistcoats and bow ties, Popeye looks old-fashioned, but it was an early craft beer pioneer. They have more than 70 beers on tap, including a wide selection of Japanese brews. You can get a 10-beer sampler or try Popeye’s own Strange Brewing, an IPA made for them with homegrown Ibaraki hops and a self-cultured yeast strain. Their menu also has a good range of food made with beer, like chicken simmered in a Belgian kriek beer or brown ale stew with chicken.”

“Ryogoku is famous for Chanko Nabe. Chanko Nabe is a stew‐like dish traditionally served to sumo wrestlers. Chanko Tomoegata has a long history. It opened before 40 years and is still very popular. If you want to enjoy chanko nabe from daytime, you should go there! Especially, I recommend you to eat ’Today's special of chanko set meal’. You can enjoy chanko nabe daily for lunch like pork miso chanko, chicken meatball chanko, and Korean chige chanko.”
