“Ailwee cave is Europe's largest cave and tours run all the time. The bird of prey centre is right beside it and presentations on the birds run in tandem with the tours of the cave. Children (and adults) have a chance to hold the birds and see them in hunting flight. There is also a great cheese shop here. Only 20 minutes drive from the cottage. ”

“Downstairs there is a very good standard deli which serves soup and sandwiches and coffee, perfect for when your on the go there is also a shop which sells lots of Galway and Irish produce. Upstairs there is a restaurant which has a fantastic window view of Shop St and most of all has delicious food.”
