10 minute walk to Central Bath in a quiet cul-de-sac. Parking available on request. Private room in a modern loft conversion with ensuite shower and wc. Compact space but clean and bright. Tea and coffee making facilities in room.
With views of the Royal Crescent and Bath city on one side and Beechen Cliff from the other you will enjoy a feeling of space. The shower room is clean and modern. There is a desk and a small sofa and wall mounted TV. Wifi.
We are positioned between the City centre ( a walk down the hill) and Bear Flat ( a short walk up the hill). We often go out in Bear Flat which is a vibrant community with pubs, restaurants, cafes, a deli and independent shops. The city of Bath is one of the most beautiful in England and is packed with history. It also has an amazing array of shops, bars and places to eat. Bath lies in a hollow, surrounded by hills so you can see the surrounding countryside wherever you are. You can hire city bikes by the hour if you want to explore the surrounding area- avoid the hills by sticking to the canal tow-paths or cycle tracks.
  • I had a wonderful stay with Sue and David! They were very welcoming from the time I arrived from the train station to when I had to leave! The room itself was lovely, bright and cozy. Sue laid out a lovely breakfast for me each morning of cereals and toasts to prepare at my leisure which was wonderful. Sue and David had excellent recommendations of things for me to do and even found a concert for me to go to. Absolutely wonderful stay, and would highly recommend to anyone going to Bath :)

  • My very first experience as a guest of an Airbnb. After a stressful drive from Salisbury and Stonehenge in a hire car without working navigation I was warmly greeted by Sue and David. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. Within walking distance to downtown Bath. My stay in Bath would not have been the same without their genuine interest and great hospitality. I would highly recommend this listing. It was like staying with family. Thank you so much.

  • Lovely room. Lovely people. Any positive review on this site is accurate. Perfect balance of warmth and privacy as well. Brilliant.

  • What a lovely welcome and stay. Thank you so much for welcoming me in to your home. Every best wish. Karina

  • Sue was there to welcome me, gave me clear instructions on how to get to their place. When walking home at night felt very safe. Only took me 10 mins to walk from town.

    Heather2015-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Would 100% recommend for the warm hospitality of Sue & David, they really are wonderfully kind & friendly. Best Airbnb experience I've had!

    Chris2016-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay. Sue will give you all the information about Bath so you can choose what you want to do while in the city. A very relaxed and a great place to stop for a few nights!

    Stuart2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful! Sue, David, and Toffee (the cat:) are great hosts! (Thank you!!) The room is compact, clean, blight and has breathtaking views. The house is only a 5-7 walk from the main bus station and town, so great location. Sue got breakfast ready every morning downstairs and when I slept in the first morning (jetlag joys), she put a tray of light breakfast outside the door. My bus was delayed so she also offered to pick me up from the station to drive up the hill. Very sweet hosts, kind and helpful, highly recommended place!

Our newly converted flat is situated in the heart of historic Bradford on Avon, between a quaint tearoom and a lovely restaurant. The light, airy upstairs bedroom has a comfy double bed, and there is also a sofa bed in the open plan living room / kitchen, only really suitable for children, as it is quite small.
Welcome to our one bedroom flat in the newly renovated Georgian Lodge. We take it in turns to work here during the week, so tend to let the flat out for long weekends - Thursday to Monday, for example. However, we can be flexible about this, so do ask if you would like to stay for longer, or mid-week. Our flat is through the archway you can see in the photo of The Georgian Lodge; our main window overlooks the communal courtyard. This means that while the flat does not have the immediate view of BoA, it is much quieter than it would be if it were facing the road. Once through the archway we are accessed via some stone steps, so we do not feel the flat will be suitable for the elderly or infirm. There is also a pane of glass in the bedroom which could be hazardous for young children, so we will happily accommodate babies who are not yet mobile, but not inquisitive toddlers - our own son is now five and we're nervous of letting him near it! The bed upstairs is a double, the sofa bed is a bit smaller than a double, so is really most comfortable for one child, though we have had fully grown adults sleep on it quite happily!
We moved to Bradford on Avon in August 2014, having visited several times over the last few years. The town itself has an amazing amount to offer for such a small place: cafes, canal side walks, an abundance of listed buildings, and a sprinkling of interesting shops. We love the proximity to Bath. Frome is a short drive away, and is worth a visit for its great collection of independent shops. There are several National Trust properties within easy reach, including Stourhead. Further into Somerset at Bruton is the new Hauser & Wirth gallery, and England's smallest city - Wells - is about a 50 minute drive away.

  • Communication with Liz was fantastic. She met us, and let us into the apartment and showed us around. The three of us really enjoyed our stay in the apartment, which is very new, clean and well appointed. Can happily recommend this listing; we used it as a base for visiting Bath. Bradford-on-Avon is a gorgeous little town in it's own right.

    Francine2015-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay! The flat is beautiful, tucked away in a sweet little courtyard - very quiet and peaceful yet right in the centre of charming Bradford on Avon. Well equipped kitchen and Liz had bought kitchen had bagels, eggs and jam etc too for breakfasts. We were visiting friends in the area but would thoroughly recommend as a weekend away / holiday too. Thank you very much Liz - you had thought of everything. We'll definitely be returning!

  • The Georgian Lodge was so beautiful. Me and my boyfriend visit the Bath Therme Spa quite regular each year and we came across the Georgian Lodge. It's located 20 minute drive from Bath in this lovely village, where you can work to supermarkets, farmer markets and pubs. Perfect for a weekend get a way with your other half. Surrounding the area there's plenty of shops and National Trust parks, so you're never bored of what to do. The place itself is fairly hidden, making it quiet, nice for winding down. It's spacious for a one bedroomed apartment and decorated modern and minimalistic. Very clean throughout and Liz provided us with the basics such as tea, milk, sugar and soda bread. Liz, as a host was fantastic. Communicated very well but left us to it. She had emailed us some recommendations and parking places as the apartment doesn't provide it. I would not hesitate to book again!

    Hollie2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were not disappointed by Liz's lovely home! Although she was unable to meet us when we arrived, she communicated perfectly and informed us how to get into the lovely home in Bradford-on-Avon. There is no doubt that we would stay again! The surrounding area was so quaint and lovely, and honestly one of our favorite spots we stops on our vacation. We are runners and so enjoyed being able to run along the river and canal in the morning, enjoying the beautiful rustic surroundings, countryside, and historic buildings. The flat was modern, comfortable and although Liz warned us about spotty cell reception, we had no difficulties. Liz also had the home ready with eggs, bread, jam, etc. for our breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

    Wendy2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little flat in the best location in BoA. Everything was impeccably clean. We had all that we needed from hair dryer to shampoo to a power adaptor. Would return without hesitation.

    Nancy2016-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • I felt I knew Liz from emails prior to our visit. She could not greet us personally on arrival but we felt welcome nevertheless. She had left us items for breakfast and even choccy biscuits to have with our cuppa on arrival.

    Anne2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by Liz and her family on arrival to what was a lovely apartment essentially in the centre of Bradford on Avon. Facilities in the apartment were modern, clean and comfortable and Liz went to great lengths to ensure our stay was memorable. Great walks around the village with easy access by train to Bath

  • Firstly, Audrey is a brilliant host! Very friendly and helpful and just an all round lovely woman. The studio exceeded mine and my Girlfriends expectations (there's even a record player with some great LP's to choose from!). The views are amazing and it's got a really chilled out feel. We were celebrating our first year anniversary and wanted it to be special and Audrey certainly delivered. We will be coming back and I couldn't recommend her more. Thank you Audrey! You are one in a million! From Ryan and Georgia

'The Retreat' is a compact, independent access cabin in a quiet corner of Bath with underfloor heating. Close to RUH, M4 and 5 min drive to Center. En-suite with large shower. Free on-street parking. On bus route. Beautiful countryside views. Breakfast basket provided. Double bed. Nestled in some lovely scenery, the Cabin is compact and contains all mod cons you would want for a short and relaxing break in Bath.
We have a bespoke and beautifully crafted Garden Cabin nestled in our garden. There is a double bed with comfortable memory topped mattress. Set in a lovely quiet corner of Bath offering stunning views. Originally designed for visiting family and friends, it is small yet perfectly formed (think George Clarke's Amazing Spaces type design). It is fully double glazed with lovely underfloor heating and has been certified by guests as cosy at -5 degrees. There are tea and coffee making facilities, a small fridge, fan as well as a hairdryer. There is a TV in the cabin and good Wifi access. There is an en suit shower room with a generous sized shower. A breakfast basket is provided each morning containing a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, toast with jam and marmalade. This is provided along with a choice of tea or fresh coffee. We are delighted to have hosted people from all over the world who are visiting Bath for both business and pleasure. We find guests really enjoy the privacy, independence, tranquility and quality service of the Cabin. The space is compact and generally guests use it as a base from which to explore and rest in. There is space under the bed to accommodate large cases but you may find it easier bringing a smaller overnight case for your Garden Cabin escape!
Located at the top of Weston village, our cosy cabin has the advantage of being close enough to local village amenities and Bath city centre (5-10 min drive) yet you can wake up in the morning to bird song and the distant sound of cows and sheep in the fields across the valley. With easy access to all that Bath has to offer such as the Thermae Spa (don't forget your swimming stuff!), the Roman Baths, world renowned architecture, and highly regarded independent shops we are ideally located for whatever you decide to do during your stay.

Bien

  • We had a wonderful stay at The Retreat - what a find! Very cosy, clean, stylish accommodation with a perfectly equipped en suite. And a lovely view over the BEST tree house ever, in our hosts' garden. Heather provided a great breakfast, with freshly brewed tea and coffee, and home made jam and marmalade, and was extremely helpful throughout. Thank you for a lovely stay!

    Ros2015-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. It was perfect. The location was very convenient and Heather was so helpful for our night stop over in Bath with heaps of tips and information made available. Heather was incredibly lovely. The cabin itself was great and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic.

    Anna2016-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Heather made me really welcome and was friendly and helpful. The accommodation is great: a little hideaway in the garden. Still the best nights sleep I have had for months too: very comfortable bed. I had breakfast outside on the deck, which was a lovely way to start the day. Thanks for a lovely, relaxing stay.

    M2016-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Heather for a lovely, cosy night in your cabin. Description and pictures are accurate. Very nice bathroom, lovely views and beautiful breakfast! Ideal for a night away in Bath!

    Gillian2015-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely little spot, not far from bath, but serene and peaceful. We were very lucky with the weather, which made the cabin hot to sleep in, but opening the doors created a nice breeze. Heather and her family were friendly and kind, and breakfast was a great touch in the morning. The bed is comfortable, but can be a little bit of a squeeze for a pair. It was clean and tidy, and overall a lovely 'little retreat', which we would return too. Thank you Heather & co.

The flat was very comfortable and beautifully appointed and we immediately felt completely at home there. Although the weather was cold the flat was extremely cosy and the walk into town and back was always a pleasant one. We particularly appreciated the ability to park just outside the flat. Also the National Trust's Skyline walk.

  • Sue was a very welcoming host from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. The room and en suite was perfect, very light and peaceful. Sue had thought of everything, all of the little touches. I had everything I could have possibly needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. The area was a great location. It was quiet and easy walking distance to Central Bath. The breakfast that was provided was delightful also. I would definitely recommend this listing to other potential guests.

Everything was as described on Air BnB and the entire process was seamless, with every question answered promptly. The room is in a peaceful & tranquil setting, which I will not hesitate to recommend to others & would certainly book again when next in Bath. Thankyou Sue & Graham, it was such a pleasure to meet you both.

Our lovely studio flat is situated on the first floor of Rochfort Place, Bathwick Street, a beautiful Georgian Bath town house which dates back to the late 1700s. Rochfort Place is just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath with its fantastic shopping and restaurants. You can spend time in the many museums, Roman Baths, or relax in the modern thermae hot spa and stroll to the world famous Royal Crescent.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed here over the weekend of 16-17 February, and we cannot speak highly enough of the experience . The flat was clean, comfortable and was like owning our own little piece of Georgian Bath - just exquisite! It's a 2 minute walk from the Rugby ground, 5 minutes from the city centre and about 10 minutes from the station, so it's excellently situated. Brenda was there to meet us on arrival and was very accommodating and ever so lovely! We'll definitely be back, thanks Brenda!

  • I can't give enough recommendation, Brenda is amazing, thank you Brenda for everything.

  • The apartment is as lovely as the other reviewers say; a well deserved 5 stars. My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights just after Easter and really enjoyed having the flat as our base for exploring Bath and Bristol; it was just the right size, Brenda was a wonderful host who was very flexible with our arrival and leaving times, and met us and guided us to a space when we arrived. A fantastic experience in a beautiful city- as a first time Airbnb user I'm truly impressed.

  • Brenda was the most warmest of hosts that I've ever dealt with through Airbnb. This apartment is very clean and is decorated so nicely. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable. The balcony is stunning. Would definitely like to revisit one day again soon.

  • Brenda was excellent dealing with the start arrangements and introduction to flat. Parking was easy and convenient and the 10 minute walk into centre via the Park was very pleasant. The flat was very pleasant as was fully as described. The bed was soft and comfortable standard double. The small balcony for morning breakfast was good.

    Bob2015-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely Apartment, great location, looked just like it was advertised on the site and the host was extremely helpful too. Highl Reccomend.

    Ronan2015-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • This studio is really beautiful! It's huge and has a bed that folds down from the built in cupboards on one of the walls. It's a really comfy bed too! Location is great - you can walk to the town centre in 10 minutes, and the Circus is a 15-20 minute walk. Everything is really close in Bath.

  • This is my first experience with Airbnb, overall I was very happy with how everything was, the apartment was more than enough for us, the only hiccup was how to get the key, but I was able to talk with one of Alice's contacts and we had no trouble in the end. The apartment was clean, could of maybe been a touch cleaner but nothing major. Access to the apartment is via some narrow pathways, this might be an issue for some older people who don't know the area that well. We would definitely consider this apartment again.

    Ross2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely and cosy place to stay, all the things you need to use as a home away from home and a fantastic launch-pad into Bath and the surrounding area. Full of helpful bits and bobs our stay was excellent and I would recommend this little piece of the countryside to anyone!

  • The view over the little city of Bradford is magnificent; the cottage is rather small for more than 2 people; very friendly neighbours

    Martin2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay very much. Bradford on Avon is so pretty and delightful and the house was cosy with plenty of space. We didn't know that Bradford was as steep as it was before we arrived, but after all the eating we did in the local restaurants the climb up the hill was welcome anyway! Very comfortable bed, shower room is a bit intimate and hard to keep dry but staying here felt so homely and we were just so relaxed. We had such a lovely mini break here and very much looking to revisit in the future!

    Hannah2016-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place, and this village are both equally magical! It truly is a lovely flat with everything you need, including a dream patio/garden all to yourself. And the view...I can't wait to for my next visit. Thank you!

    Zoe2015-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • We immediately fell in love with this adorable cottage and the town as well! The cottage was a perfect size for our family of four and came stocked with everything we needed. We loved eating meals and playing games in the garden overlooking this quaint little town and visiting with neighbors passing by.

    Tamara2016-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is very cute and in a very interesting spot with an amazing view. It is well equipped and perfectly clean. Just beware that the bed is rather narrow (not as wide as a normal double bed). So it's good for a young couple who like to cuddle up, but for older people you may not sleep very well (we didn't!)

    Helen2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little suite with lots of charming features. Quaint and picturesque neighbourhood but a very steep slope to climb from the town which was challenging with luggage. Clean, nice linens, comfy bed. There's a washer/dryer but we couldn't figure out how to get it to work even after searching out an online manual.

The Neighbourhood Little Orchard is set in lovely countryside but within easy reach of a multitude of attractions. You will wake up to the birds singing, and we are situated in a Conservation Area. Bathford is built on Roman remains, it is known as 'the walled village', and in the woods at the top of the lane you can find the remains of the stone quarries that supplied Bath with its beautiful stone. There are some lovely walks from the cottage, and lots of pubs and cafes to visit. One of our favourites is the Mill at Bathampton, by the river. You can get a boat from here into Bath as well. Check the Pulteney Princess for times and cost. There are two pubs in the village - one at the bottom - the Crown Inn - and one at the top. The village shop is open 7 days a week and is a co-operative run by people who live in the village. It has a cafe, and stocks a good range of basics as well as fresh bread and croissants and local produce. The cafe does a mean fried breakfast on a Saturday! There are two golf courses within 3 miles - Kingsdown Golf Club and Cumberwell Golf Club. You can walk down into the valley and in half an hour you will be walking on the Kennet and Avon canal at Bathampton. On most weekends and during the week in school holidays there is a lovely canal boat which serves cakes, sandwiches and coffee, or you can walk or cycle along to the Dundas Aqueduct at Limpley Stoke and hire a boat. You can also hire old 1920's and 30's restored wooden rowing boats and punts at Bathampton Mill and at the Bath Boathouse. There are also two lovely pubs in Bathampton - The Mill on the river and The George on the canal. We are just outside Bath to the East with views from the village of Little Solsbury Hill - Peter Gabriel lives near here and it was where he wrote his famous song! In Bath you are spoilt for choice with the Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the Royal Crescent, the Circus, loads of theatres and restaurants, Bath rugby, Thermae spa - (a rooftop pool experience not to miss, especially at night) Christmas street market, gorgeous Georgian architecture. There are festivals all year round including the famous Mozartfest in November, the literature festival, Jane Austen festival and food festivals. The Music Festival is in May, the Christmas Market around the Abbey in November/December and too many others to mention. Shopping is a joy as there are lots of independent shops and Bath is a very self-contained city. You can also explore the surrounding area into Wiltshire and Somerset. Stonehenge is an easy day trip as are Wells, Salisbury, Tetbury and the Cotswolds and Bristol. The Hauser and Wirth gallery in Bruton with its famous Piet Oudulf garden is about 40 minutes away, and has a great restaurant and exhibitions. National Trust properties in the area include Stourhead, Dyrham Park, Lacock ( Harry Potter filmed here as well as lots of period dramas such as Cranford), Prior Park Gardens , The Courts at Holt, Great Chalfield Manor (some of Wolf Hall was filmed here), and Tyntesfield near Bristol. There are some great restaurants and lots of my guests go out to The Pig at Hunstrete which is just West of the Bath on the way to the Chew Valley Lakes. There is also the Michelin starred Pony and Trap in Chew Magna run by Josh and Holly Eggleton. In Bath we have the famous Bertinet bakery, Richard Bertinet runs a cookery school here and has a couple of cafes selling his amazing bread and cakes. A great veggie option is Acorn Kitchen for dinner, or the Green Rocket cafe for breakfast or lunch, also Chapel Arts who do lovely homemade flatbreads. If you are vegan try Beyond the Kale in Green Park Station, open during the daytime only. Corkage in Walcot Street, as recommended by Jay Rayner!, is a lovely wine bar with daily changing tapas plates. For a curry try the Eastern Eye in an amazing Georgian building, and for Thai, Koh Thai Tapas in Broad Street. The best Italian in Bath is the family run Martini on George Street. There are loads of independent cafes, my favourites are Society Cafe in Kingsmead Square, and Hunter and Son in Shires Yard which also opens in the evening and sells food and craft beer too. I also love The Blue Quail deli on Pulteney Bridge, lots of lovely South African food and cakes. There are a couple of old Bath pubs you shouldn't miss. The Old Green Tree in Green Street, wood panelled and very cosy, The Star on The Paragon, no food just great beer, and The Bell on Walcot Street, bought by locals to save it from closing and a great live music venue. In Batheaston there is Gather - open Tuesday to Saturday, mostly vegetarian with lots of gluten free and great coffee and breakfasts/lunches. If you like cocktails you have to go to the Gin Bar, and The Dark Horse in Kingsmead Square. We have great theatres from the old and venerable Theatre Royal, to smaller places like the Rondo in Larkhall and The Mission Theatre. The best cinema is the Little Theatre by the Spa, there is a little bar and it has great atmosphere. On a weekend head to Green Park Station for the food market on Saturday mornings, and various vintage and antiques markets on Saturdays and Sundays.

  • We had a great stay. Karen was very friendly and welcoming. Little Orchard is spacious and very tastefully decorated and has everything you need. The log burner created a lovely cosy atmosphere and the "treats" left by Karen were an added bonus. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding good quality. Sadly, we only had 1 night here, but hope to return soon!

  • What a beautiful cottage to unwind and relax in. My fiancé and I had the most amazing time snuggled by the fire in Little Orchard. Karen is a fantastic host- very helpful and the cookies on arrival were delicious! The cottage has everything you need and it was only a short distance away from Bath. Karen helped organise a masseuse to come to the cottage, on Sunday morning, as a surprise gift for my fiancé which was amazing! We are definitely going to return this year. We loved our trip - thank you Karen.

  • Karen was fantastic host, she was very welcoming and had made yummy chocolate brownies too! Very friendly and she gave us some great tips on where to go in the area and getting into Bath. Short bus ride into Bath in about 25mins. Lovely sceneic views on route. Very accurate description of cottage, exactly as you see on the website. The cottage is beautiful and very cosey. Lovely neighborhood, friendly people. This was our first visit to Bath and we loved it. Perfect weekend break.

  • Jane's place is really lovely, towels and bedding are excellent quality and the flat is spacious. The breakfast was lovely and incredibly generous, much more than I would have expected. Wifi was great and a flat with a parking permit for guests near the centre of Bath was an incredibly valuable find. Sandra & Michael

Lovely apt, better than the photos show to be honest. Huge bedroom. Every facility catered for. Lovely courtyard garden with comfy seats. Spotlessly clean. Generous welcome pack. Great location, five mins walk from train/bus station. Enough shops on the high street in Widcombe to cover basic needs. Fabulous canal walk just behind the apt. All relevant visitor info provided by the host. Would thoroughly recommend. Perfect host and value for money.

  • fabulous clean, spacious & comfortable accommodation with great facilities located in a marvellous spot (centre of town)..... Parking is awkward but worth it for the location.... only negative would be the noise from the apartment overhead... im sure whoever lives there is keeping horses!!!! and you can almost join their conversation. Expect to be woken early in the morning. Apart from that absolutely cracking place.

  • Alice was around if we needed her but weren't disturbed otherwise. The apartment was lovely. Very relaxing and comfortable. Some of my friends missed having a microwave but that was not a big deal for me. The neighbourhood was lovely very quaint. We had dinner at The Danny Lion up the road and it was very delicious. Recommended. Easy to get around. Had a very lovely stay here celebrating my birthday. Thanks.

  • We loved our time in this beautiful town and lovely apartment. It was comfortable and attractive. Easy access to everything in town, lovely walks, and lots of great places to eat. We'd come back with no hesitation. Just wish we could have stayed longer!

  • Alice made our stay very pleasant by providing all we expected. The flat was well equipped. The welcome packet gave lots of instructions about the place. Alice was available by phone to answer questions and help us with directions and parking info.

  • This flat is lovely, clean, well presented and in a brilliant location. Check in and out is very easy and the flat is very quiet at night. We are already planning our next trip back to this beautiful area and this ideally located, well presented flat. Many thanks Alice!

  • Very well located, Very clean, Perfect for our long weekend, we tried a couple of restaurants and by fair the best was a place called the bunch of grapes the best restaurant I have eaten in for ages. We will definitely be back soon.

Cosy flat in the heart of the City Centre. Located just 10 minute walk from the Roman Baths, The Abbey and just metres away from Henrietta Park, Sydney Gardens and Great Pultney Street.

  • Freddie was great! He met my daughter and I at the rail station and walked us to his apartment. He was very gracious and made us feel welcome. The apartment was as advertised. It is very central to everything. A bit noisy at night but the location made up for it.

  • Everything was perfect. Thank Your Edward!!!

    Barbara2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a flat for convenience rather than for a cosy stay. The location of the flat is great. It is right on top of the Southgate Shopping Centre which is convenient for shopping and sightseeing. However, the flat wasn't very clean and musty when we arrived. It feels like the flat has not been in used for a while. We have to sweep the floor and do some basic cleaning before settling in. One of the blind and the dishwasher are not working. There isn't a lot of utensils and cooking facilities for a self catering accommodation. We only get two mugs to make teas between four of us.

    Pey2016-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Eddie was great at communicating before the stay and when getting the key. He is professional and friendly. The location of the flat is perfect, couple minutes walk to the Roman Bath and around with lots of shops and restaurants. The little touch of providing some refreshment in the fridge is great! We really needed them after the long drive. :) We had a great time in Bath!! Thank you!

  • Lovely apartment-great location. Friendly and informative agent. Key pick up arranged easily. Great value for money :)

  • Freddie was great with communication and welcoming us warmly. The property is super central to everything in Bath. The apartment is not modern but suited our needs perfectly. Well-lit, heating, kitchen, good security and WiFi. If you're a really light sleeper the nearby pub & music venue will keep you awake on some nights. But we had a great time stepping out the door into the middle of the very charming & walkable Bath. Freddie loves living here and you can see why.

    David & Lara2014-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We received a warm welcoming by Freddie, and every equiry we asked about the house were replied in time which helped us had a comfortable check in. The location is good and surrounding is not noisy. The room is tidy and nice. There are all traveling information about Bath and free movies to watch~~ Freddie is a considerable guy who even gives us the weather information. btw, he is handsome too.

Contemporary private space ideal for 2, quietly located close to the river, cafe deli & gastro pubs. Level walk into centre. WIFI, FREE parking, towels, linen welcome pack & cleaning all included. **** Skylights great for stargazing / morning sun, though not so good if you prefer total darkness! ****
Independent studio with courtyard for alfresco dining - weather permitting! Private use of space, minimal interaction, hob, microwave, fridge, en-suite shower & wc, key safe. Linen, towels & welcome pack included - sufficient for a light breakfast: tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits, OJ, cereals, brioche. *** The skylights are uncovered - great for 'star - gazing'; though not so good if you prefer complete darkness / sleeping late!*** Travel cot available if travelling with a young infant. The studio is a 'no-smoking environment' and I ask that you treat it with the care & respect that you would your own. Located at the edge of the city centre net to river path & cycleway, a level 5 minute stroll to Royal Victoria Park and Botanical Gardens, 10 to 15 minutes walk through the park leads on to The Royal Crescent and The Circus. The no. 4 bus stops close by with a regular (every 10 min) service to and from the centre, journey time approx. 5 min.
Located to the rear of my home with a level, traffic-free walk along the river path / cycle way into the city. Our local deli / coffee shop the Grocer on Locksbrook is close by - they do a superb cooked breakfast while The Victoria Pub & Kitchen, The Hop Pole and The Locksbrook Inn are three gastropubs within a 5 or 10 min walk.
  • Maggi was a great host, very easy to communicate with, and the studio was perfect- clean, quiet and comfortable. We had a lovely weekend!

    Lizzie2014-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed staying in Maggi's studio. Modern, comfortable and well equipped. Well positioned to get into Bath and lovely location by the river. Nice to chat to Maggi as well. A very pleasant stay!

    Ian2013-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Maggi was a very helpful and friendly host couldn't ask for more. Studio is as described and in a convenient location - if you enjoy cycling then the studio is right next to the canal path so you can easily get on to the many cycle routes in and around Bath (including the Bath 2 tunnels circuit). Would highly recommend.

    Ka2014-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • I just loved the studio, it was bright and so so comfortable! I thought the welcome basket was a nice touch as well! I would love to have stayed longer and continued to explore Bath, but we just ran out of time and had to go home! Would love to stay again someday. Maggi was lovely and very sweet!

    Shyann & Josh2012-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Maggi's place is well located a pleasant 20 minute walk from the city centre. It's pet friendly which was a plus for us. On the downside the mattress was thin and there is no blind for the sky light. The outside security light seems to be over sensitive as it kept switching on and waking us up ( due to no blind on sky light). However in spite of this we would definitely recommend for a weekend city stay.

    Simone2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay with Maggi. She provided everything we needed to have a comfortable stay, including recommendations for places to eat locally and bits for breakfast. The information she provided beforehand was very clear, so I highly recommend using that rather than following the satnav which takes you to the flats next door. The space was really light and we enjoyed looking up through the skylights at night. I would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to friends.

    Emily2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Maggi was extremely helpful and welcoming, allowing us to arrive a couple of hours earlier than we'd arranged. She gave us detailed instructions on all aspects of the studio and made sure we had her contact number. The space is incredibly well designed and everything fits in just perfectly, without giving the feeling of being cramped. The studio is quiet, considering it is only a stone's throw from the main road and we had 2 very peaceful night's sleep. The only disappointment was not being able to walk all the way along the river from the studio into town due to current construction work and diversions - not Maggi's fault at all of course! On the plus side, this forced us to explore some lovely quiet back streets rather than follow the busy Upper Bristol Road into the city centre. We wholeheartedly recommend this little gem of a studio.

    Helen2016-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Maggi's garden studio is a wonderful retreat. It was well equipped for our short stay and had great touches by Maggi like croissants, jams and milk. Even though it is on the same property as her house and she is a great and welcoming host, we had privacy being in our own unit. The location is perfect. A short walk along the river to the town center and it is just minutes away from a great pub where we ate twice.

    Alba2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice living experience! Jane shares warm hospitality and the room is big and well-decorated. The place is not far away from the city center or Bath Spa Station.

You will love this cosy, eclectically styled apartment in Bath city. In less than 10mins walking from the train station, you could be in the apartment dropping off your luggage and then 3min back to the city centre to take in all the wonderful offerings of Bath. The history and the food on offer in Bath are second to none. You will see and eat your fill while you are here and, after putting your feet up and enjoying the velvet sofa, should depart feeling revitalised and refreshed.
The one bedroom apartment defines stylish city living and you couldn't get anywhere more popular than Bath. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and bedside lamps and power sockets, a chest of drawers and TV. The bathroom has an electric shower and toiletries are provided. The lounge has a super soft velvet sofa, a leather armchair, and a smart TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking appliances, cutlery, and crockery. Everything to need to feel at home. You will also be able to use the Amazon Echo Dot to play your favourite tunes or ask about the weather.
  • Such a lovely apartment, in a fantastic location! Super close to shops, restaurants, and all of the most popular tourist sites! We had an amazing time, and Charlie was a great host!

Wake up to the sound of birdsong in an English country garden. Swish back the curtain and enjoy your breakfast on the veranda as you soak up the view across the meadow to the river in the Limply Stoke valley.
Enjoy the peaceful and private surroundings of your own log cabin in an English country garden. Your hosts will bring you a breakfast of delicious, locally sourced food. We are in the heart of the West Country with it's abundance of historic, cultural and open air pursuits to enhance your stay with us. The city of Bath is four miles away.
We are in an area of outstanding natural beauty with direct access to the Kennet and Avon canal and the River Avon. There is also a network of footpaths throughout the valley.
  • Judy is an amazing host, incredibly generous and kind-hearted. The accommodation was beautiful and we were very comfortable, with everything we needed. We had a great stay and delicious breakfast. Thank you Judy

  • If the spot was amazing, what can be said about the host... Judy was very welcoming, she always tried to make our stay the perfect one and delighted us with very interesting chats. Probably the best B&B (both the bed and the breakfast were gorgeous) experience we ever had. We are looking forward to come back again!! Thanks Judy!!

  • Not to be missed. In a fantastic setting off the bank of the River Avon, the cabin is a tranquil setting with a great sized bed and bathroom. Wifi & mod cons were all available and the breakfast in the mornings were an absolute feast! Judy was a perfect host, offering a glass of wine on arrival and plenty of tips about where to go during our stay. A fantastic visit which we will not forget in a hurry! 5*!

Our house is a 1940s semi-detached building in a quiet residential area not far from the centre of Bath. We can offer one of our two sitting rooms which converts into a private bedroom. A sofa bed folds out to a king size comfortable double bed. All our bedding is made of 100% cotton and towels and hairdryer are provided. There is also a very small single bedroom (just space for sleeping in a full size single bed) available upstairs. It is very quiet in our street at night and many guests have commented on how well they have slept here. Bathroom and kitchen are shared with the host family. Guests are welcome to help themselves to hot drinks at all times and to store items of food in the fridge. You will enjoy great views across the valley from the garden and its sheltered patio. We are a vegetarian household and provide a wholesome cold buffet style breakfast (muesli/ porridge/ yoghurt/ wholemeal toast or rolls with a number of different spreads or cheeses/ boiled eggs/ fresh fruit and tea, fresh coffee and juice ) included in the price. There is the option of an occasional vegetarian meal with us (by arrangement) when I would ask for a contribution towards the cost. I'm happy to cater for people with special dietary needs provided that you let me know in advance. The house is situated on the north east side of the historical City of Bath, about 30 minutes on foot or less than 10 minutes by car from the centre, yet very close to open countryside with some lovely walks. One of those takes you to an old Norman chapel, surrounded by an old cemetery and a holy well in an enchanting garden. The bus stops opposite the house and takes about 20 minutes to the bus and train station. There's plenty of on-street parking and the neighbourhood is very pleasant. Bath is a popular tourist attraction, with a cosmopolitan ambience but small enough to explore its historical sights and unique architecture on foot. The city has a variety of great restaurants, some of which are very reasonably priced . The nearest local shop (open 7/7) also is within easy reach on foot. The Richmond pub/restaurant 0.6 Km up the hill, open Tuesday - Sunday Theatres, cinemas, sport-centres, the famous spa-bath, museums, art galleries, pubs and night-clubs - it's all there. Bristol is 15 mins away by train whilst Salisbury, Oxford and famous sites such as Stonehenge, Avebury, the Cotswolds and Glastonbury or the beaches of the south coast are within easy reach for a day out. Non-smokers. No Pets. Wi-Fi

I had a great stay at Petra's, her husband and her have made themselves very available for me and it's been a pleasure to spend time in this lovely house and in such nice company. Come here if you're a book-lover or if you want to have great conversations with your hosts to have an insider's look at Bath!

    Ann-Lys2016-06-27T00:00:00Z

    Sandrine2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Petra is a friendly and attentive host. She went above and beyond what I expected. The location is a nice walk away from city centre with a great view (there are also buses which pass by her place which makes it extra convenient). We had to leave early but had great conversations with Petra while we enjoy the delicious breakfast - too bad the morning was too chilly to sit outside in the backyard. Would definitely stay at her place again next time I visit Bath.

La Belle Bateau is a stunningly styled canal boat, a bijou river residence on the Kennet and Avon canal. Walking distance to the World Heritage City of Bath and wrapped in the Cotswolds landscape.
A totally unique experience aboard a stylish bijou canal boat. The height of luxe with it's queen sized bed, kitchen and ample shower room. You will float away your cares as the swans amble past, the trees sway above your head and sleep to the sounds of hooting owls. Breakfast on your own back deck with our artisan breakfast hamper before strolling in town to sample Bath's many culinary and cultural delights. Watch the sun set over the rolling Limply Valley, it may be a lifestyle you find hard to return home from.
Bathampton in straight out of a fairy tale, whimsical stone bridges, cricket pitches and even a cafe aboard a boat is just a few minutes walk away.
  • We had a great time staying the night on the beautiful little boat. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a unique and picturesque experience!

  • Lovely place to stay for the evening. The 25 minute walk into town was truly magical. Emma was easy to communicate with and let me reserve the place at the last minute. I do think it would have been a bit cramped with two people as it is quite small. Perfect place to stay if you are looking for a unique space outside of Bath and plan to spend most of the time sightseeing or just want to lounge.

    Erin2017-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Emma is an excellent host with wonderful local knowledge and tips. The boat is cute, quaint and cosy in a darling little snug of the canal. We had the best sleep of our trip so far!

  • Very lovely and romantic experience with Amy! The boat house is lovely: proper size for a couple and equipped with all necessities. Fell a sleep under the bright moon and woke up by birds -- that's exactly our experience. 20-30min walk to the Bath city center is manageable and pleasant. Communication with Emma is effective and helpful. Highly recommend!

  • Great communication, lovely boat. Small and snug but surprisingly comfortable bed and beautifully decked out interior. Lovely romantic simple getaway with the novelty of being on the water! We stayed for just one night which was perfect. Only downside was the fridge wasn't working and I'd brought my own food but not a problem. Emma and Darren were great at communicaring and very accommodating despite us arriving very late. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely light rooms with calm décor and comfy beds. Shower room shared between two top floor rooms which is all private for your use
The large kitchen has an Aga, cooker and dishwasher available for your use plus your own fridge.
Very convenient shops 2 minutes walk away with a large variety of breakfast provisions to suit all tastes. An Italian deli is even nearer. House also near a park with exceptional views over the city. Gastro pub (The Bear) also 2 minutes walk.
  • Lovely rooms indeed and great for 2 friends who are not a couple. Spotlessly clean and nice and warm. There is a bit of traffic noise but double glazing on the front window dampens this down a lot. Jean had tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom as well as access to her kitchen. Good small supermarket nearby for breakfast supplies. We ate at the Bear one night which is only a couple of minutes walk away and were impressed with the food and atmosphere. Jean is a lovely welcoming host and communication was easy. Thanks again for a nice stay.

Central Bath Georgian Flat, park opposite, great views, 2 minutes from restaurants, shops, spa, bars and cathedral in this great historic spa city. A really comfy bed to return to. Simple room, double bed, small clothes rail, good for a night or two. Decorated shabby chic, old floorboards, great views, this bedroom and the sharing of a small bathroom is all I am renting, I don't share the kitchen or sitting room. Georgian town flat in converted house, minimal and basic decor.

  • Great access to the heart of Bath and comfortable bed gave us an easy welcome to England. Nice views out back of bedroom. No amenities but easy to share the bathroom with Lucy and good options for hot water shower and tub. And wonderful pub across the road with Irish music on Fridays

    Margaret2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy was such a lovely host. Her place is so close to the center of the city and the pub across the street is the most magical place we have ever experienced. Her place is charming and pairs well with the whimsical vibes of Bath.

A cozy double room, with en-suite bathroom, in a friendly family home. You are also welcome to use our living room, kitchen, and garden if you like. We love to travel and welcome new people into our house.
Delicious breakfast included! I'm a semi-professional baker, and love to make treats for our guests. Whatever you fancy, we can sort for you: continental breakfast, muesli and yoghurt with fresh fruit, a boiled egg and toast, and a hot cup of coffee are all on offer.
A friendly, quiet neighbourhood on the west side of Bath. Nearby we have the independent Electric Bear Brewing, as well as the Locksbrook Inn and the Boathouse Pub. Our house is a 3 minute cycle ride from the Bristol-Bath bike route. On the way into town you'll pass the famous Royal Victoria Park, which leads you to the Royal Crescent and the Circus, two of Bath's most famous architectural sites.
  • Had a fabulous time at Abbie's - the place was lovely and the blueberry muffins we had in the morning were delicious!

  • Abbie and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The room and en-suite were lovely and clean. The bed very comfortable and breakfast very tasty. Thank you for accommodating our little one. We will definitely be back. Plenty of parking on the street and a half hour walk to city centre along the main road (feels safe at night) or a bus ride. Victoria Park very close by.

  • Staying at Abbie's home has been a good experience. It's location is useful if you travel by car, being able to rest in a tranquil neighbourhood. Their kids are adorable and educated!

  • Alan's house was very lovely. It is in a wonderful location, only a few minutes from the train station and the city center. The room itself was extremely nice, clean and comfortable, even better than what we expected. The biscuits and fruits in the room were delicious! Alan went out of his way to let us drop off our bags in the morning, and gave us great suggestions and resources for exploring Bath. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Bath!

  • Alan and Tamsin were very accommodating, warm and welcoming. They have a lovely house close by to everything in Bath and made sure we we're settled in and ready to explore the city. We would have loved to have been able to spend more time in such a inviting environment.

  • The house owner is vey nice and considerable. He provides many fresh fruits and English cookies for us. The room is tidy and clean. Very enjoyable to stay in that lovely house. Strongly recommended!

    2016-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our stay at Alan and Tamsin's place. The room was great, very clean and the bed comfortable, and the house is in a central, walkable location to downtown Bath . Our hosts were very accommodating, letting us store a few small items in their fridge and even arranging a parking permit for our car. They made us feel welcome during our brief visit and we will gladly stay in their home if we are ever in Bath again!

  • I loved this place. Alan was super helpful with my overseas inquiries which is very comforting when you're coming from far away and 24 hours without sleep. The room was perfect! The bed is comfy, clean, quiet and stocked with everything one could want. And it's super close to town with a charming walk to and fro. I highly recommend this accommodation.

    Joanne2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We have had a very pleasant time at Alan's place. He was always very responsive to our needs and welcomed us in his home with tea, fruits and biscuits. The room and bathroom are clean and basically all you need. The location of the house is great, it only takes a few minutes to get into the city center. Alan gave us plenty of information about Bath and what to do. We highly recommend this place and Alan as a host!

Attractive large and very sunny bedroom facing south with beautiful and very comfortable French Sleigh bed ( small double) for one person and ensuite bathroom with lovely large shower . In beautiful historic Georgian Grade 1 Townhouse apartment. Very CENTRAL and next to Pulteney Bridge. In easy walking distance to: restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, railway station, and bus stop close by for the University of Bath.
This is a beautiful bedroom on the ground floor of a very elegant Georgian house. No stairs to cope with, but just three steps up from pavement to front door. The French bed is 3 foot 8’ wide ( 112 cms) x 6 foot 3 “ long ( 190 cms) and is very comfy! Suitable for one person. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a 28” tv. There is enough room for a camp bed or a child’s travel cot if guests have one child with them, which I can provide.
We are in the centre of a Unesco World Heritage site and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close to the Bath Thermae Spa, Roman Baths, Holborn Museum, Abbey, Theatre Royal, cinemas and a number of other museums. The University of Bath is close by up Bathwick Hill, and buses pas by from Great Pulteney Street, and Bath Spa University is reached by another bus in the vicinity. Henrietta Park is right next door, a lovely public garden to walk and sit and read in. Very close to the Christmas Market. The house is in a very quiet residential street on the level within walking distances of all amenities. Of the many regular events held in Bath, we are very nearby to the start of the Bath Half Marathon. WE HAVE THE JANE AUSTEN FESTIVAL which is celebrating 200 years and events are held near us between 8 -17 September 2017, the Christmas Market is a short distance away. The Bath Literary Festival is held in venues very close to our house as is the Music Festival and the Mozartfest. Bath in Fashion events are held in the centre of Bath, easily reached from our home. The wonderful FREE Mayor’s Guides give a 2 hour walk about Bath with the most wonderful (URL HIDDEN) and these are conducted twice a day. Many visitors wish to visit Stonehenge and there are local companies that organise bus tours that leaves every morning to take guest on either a half day direct to Stonehenge and back (URL HIDDEN) Or a day trip to Stonehenge and the surrounding beautiful countryside. Please look up Max Max Tours: (URL HIDDEN) They leave at 8:30 am which means you reach Stonehenge before the crowds. !! TOP TIP !! The Thermae Spa which is the number one TOURIST Attraction in Bath is quite busy in the middle of the day at weekends, why not try and either visit it first thing in the morning or last thing in the afternoon, or even better on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, when there are fewer people around! Don’t forget to bring your swimming costumes!
  • Such a cosy, comfortable, and clean room in a beautiful home. The location couldn't be more ideal. Ann was a fantastic host and I had a great experience staying here. Whether you're visiting for a couple of nights or for a more extended period of time, the room has a very comfortable bed and a lovely, spacious modern bathroom. Thank you for having me, Ann!

  • Ann is a lovely woman. While staying there, I received a lot of attention. The restaurant she informed me was excellent. I couldn't speak much because I couldn't speak English, but she was considerate of me. I will remember the memories of my life forever. I will visit her again. The room was so beautiful and safe. Her breakfast was excellent. I miss her already. Have a wonderful experience.

  • Great communication! Very accurate description and photos of the room. The room is very comfortable and spacious. The location is excellent- central but away from the main streets so it's not noisy at all. It's about 10 minute walk from the station if you're focused on getting to your destination (or about 20 minutes if you're strolling, taking photos and enjoying the view).

    Linda2017-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • It was a lovely weekend and Anne is a fantastic host. I'm looking forward to going back in a few weeks and would recommend for everyone!

  • Had amazing 3 nights at Ann's place. As a woman traveling alone this place is perfect: nice room, comfortable bed, great ensuite and best of all very, very close to town! Had a lovely breakfast every morning with freshly baked breads and homemade jams. Also nice to mingle with the other guests and exchange experiences. Definitely recommend this place and will sure book again if I would return to Bath. Ann is a lovely host and gives great advices about things to do & see if you want it.

    Louise2017-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The room is in a townhouse and suitable for one to two people. The proximity to the water and town are ideal. It was a true bed and breakfast experience with light food prepared in the morning to get you started. Ann's place would be a great for a quaint getaway.

Our property is a detached double glazed house situated in a residential area with free street parking in the area. This can sometimes be a problem if you do find it difficult please approach us and we will help you. The road is well used with some traffic noise but is generally quiet at night. We are conveniently situated just 20 minutes walk to the city centre through the artisan quarter of Walcot Street. There are also buses from the end of the road to the city centre. Easy to reach from M4 and A46 to London Road. 30 Minutes from Train and Bus Stations. I love the easy access to City and countryside. My favourite walk into Bath is through Sydney gardens then along the Kennet and Avon canal.

  • After our arrival in Bath, Polly showed us our room that has it's separate bathroom. We felt very comfortable with our accommodation. We had a great breakfast with fabulous self-made orange jam, fruits, cereals and many more... With Polly and her husband we had some great and interesting conversations about almost everything: Our journey, our plans for the future, politics and travelling of course. Thank you for having us. We wish you all the best and definitely come back whenever we visit Bath again. Best wishes Julia and Manuel

  • We really enjoyed our stay in this cosy B&B. Our interresting chats with the open minded hosts were the 'cherry on the cake' and made our stay in Bath even more enjoyable.

    Joachim2016-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first visit to Bath and the room couldn't have been more perfect for us! It is a nice size with your own bathroom and a comfy bed and couch. Polly and Dave are very nice and made us feel right at home. We even got a ride to and from the train station, and breakfast made every morning. The location of the house is perfect for walking to town and seeing the sights. We hope to stay again very soon. Thank you Polly and Dave!!

  • If you are looking for a lovely yet value for money base to explore the charming city of Bath, look no further! We spent only a night at Polly and Dave's cute little cottage and absolutely loved it. As soon as we booked, they offered to come pick us up from the bus station which was so nice of them. Dave drove us home which is just 10min by car or about 15min walk from the city centre (downhill to the city, uphill on the return so add another 5min for the way back). We were easily able to walk the distance and the hill isn't too steep. The room itself is really elegantly furnished, on the ground floor and with its own ensuite bathroom. The bed was super comfy and also had a nice couch. Polly had even laid out a kettle with tea, coffee, milk and sugar, just like a good hotel - a rare treat and a first for me in an airbnb accommodation! The bath too is very nice with plenty hot water. There was a hands cream along with the hands soap provided. It's little touches like this that made our time there so enjoyable. Breakfast next morning was very healthy and very delicious - yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, toasted breads, jams and a huge pot of coffee. Perfect way to start the day. Polly and Dave are delightful hosts. On our return in the evening we sat chatting until quite late about our travels and cultures and had a really great time! They are warm and caring and want to ensure you have a good time in their city. I would absolutely recommend their place and wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

  • We have just had the best couple of days in Bath, staying at John's beautiful apartment. John is a great host, really friendly and accommodating and check in was very easy. The apartment itself was even better than the pictures on here, my sister and I stayed with our two dogs and both said it's one of the best airbnbs we've booked. The bathroom is amazing... you won't want to leave! There is parking round the back of the property, which is extremely handy and the location is perfect, being so close to central Bath! Would highly recommend and hope to book again in the not too distant future!

  • Awesome stay. Best host we've had. Provided us some food for breakfast in the fridge. Really nice touch.

    Rob2016-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is stylish, well appointed and homely. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathroom looks amazing. John provided plenty of lovely fluffy towels, nice bedding, candles and plenty of eggs, bread, butter, milk, tea and fresh coffee for breakfast. He met us when we arrived and gave us a super welcome by giving us a hand with our bags and showing is around. The apartment is in a premium location which makes walking into Bath super easy but it's also very quiet with the added help of parking which is a big luxury in the city. Can't wait to stay again.

    Daniel 2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect and to our entire satisfaction. John was very helpful and responded fast to any question. The apartment itself is in an excellent location and I think nothing could beat that. The private car park was a very welcomed convenience as one can reach everything by foot. A nice touch was also the breakfast items prepared by the host prior to the arrival. All in all we can highly recommend the place ! Thanks again John

  • Excellent location and well appointed I would highly recommend this stay and I'm very fussy. It is in the lower ground floor or basement but plenty of light comes in. Just a few steps to get down. It has a main room with comfortable bed king size, table and chairs, lounge and single chair . The only negative was no hanging space but has drawers. It has a gallery style kitchen very well appointed but not coffee machine which was disappointing but does has a filter coffee system which we have all moved on from I think. The kitchen was otherwise extremely well appointed and the fridge was left with generous amounts of ham, marmalade milk, eggs and bread as well as croissants. The bathroom is in a round cove space, pretty and very clean just a bit dark but very generous in size and looks amazing as has little lights all over the ceiling Overall I would highly recommend this Apartment .

  • John's flat was ideal for our few days in Bath. Perfect location as it is a very short walk to the center of town, close to the river and it had the bonus of a good parking space behind the property. Lovely and comfortable inside, very quiet as well. Also John very kindly had stocked the fridge with some essentials - thanks!

  • Myself and my partner have just got back from a 2 night stay at John's place and I cannot recommend it enough! The house was amazing, with a great history! It was fully equipped and had everything you could need, not to mention the comfiest, biggest bed I have ever seen! John was really friendly and helpful and made the whole process so easy. It is the perfect distance from the town centre, which means you don't have to worry about finding parking. I will definitely be coming back here very soon!

The views from our house are amazing - we're in the countryside, but a 15 min drive/bus ride from all the facilities of Bath. Our loft room has a comfy bed, hot drink-making facilities and en-suite shower room. We have excellent wi-fi and free parking. We can offer an earlier check-in on request. Help yourselves to breakfast of toast/eggs/cereals/tea/coffee. Main pic is taken from our front door. Although the bus trip is quick it doesn't run too often - check the 179 schedule for details.
Our loft bedroom with en-suite should give you a peaceful night's rest. Our cottage has been recently re-furbished and is cosy with a wood burner, and gorgeous views. The living/dining/kitchen areas shown are shared with us. The loft-room is in our house and up a paddle-staircase - it has it's own en-suite shower room for convenience. The room is equipped with a desk and memory foam double bed and the en-suite is stocked with towels and toiletries for the shower. Our neighbours run a dairy farm, so expect to see cows in the field outside your room. I work school-hours a few days a week - so am often available to provide tips and advice. Ian is home evenings/weekends. Tunley is a small village, and we are on the outskirts of it - the only amenity of any sort is the very popular pub, The King William Inn, where they do excellent food (around 7 mins walk) - you will need to book since they are always busy! The Ring o' Bells in Priston is about a 25 minute walk. We're on a quiet lane, Stoneage Lane - one of 4 cottages in a terrace - our other neighbours are Lower Tunley Farm and Hillgrove Barn. We are in a small village - a car is really handy to have in our location - but we're about a 7 minute walk from a bus route, and 5 mins drive from the Odd Down Park and Ride in Bath. There is parking available on our driveway. The buses don't run particularly frequently - here is a link to the bus timetable from Tunley - Bath City Centre: (URL HIDDEN) The Park and Ride buses run every 12 -15 min , and take 10 min to get to the centre - here is a link to the schedule: (URL HIDDEN) Breakfast is self-service - we provide tea/coffee (herbal/decaf etc), cereals, toast/jam, eggs, Greek yoghurt. You can help yourself at your leisure. Our son is dairy-free so we always have milk/butter substitutes on hand.
Our lovely, quiet village environment - great for relaxing and sleeping well. There are a few walking paths that come near the house, and one can easily walk to Priston in around 25 mins or so. The King William Inn does excellent food and is around 7 mins walk - they are really popular so you will need to book in advance. On the High Street in Tunley there is a phone box which is now a library - feel free to swap your books or donate them here. Timsbury is nearest place for picking up groceries - they have a chippy/pub/post office/co-operative/coffee shop/farm shop.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. (15 min drive from center of Bath). If you want to experience living in beautiful rural England for a bit with a very pleasant family then stay here. The scenery is just like the pictures the bedroom is very nice and clean. We would stay here again!

  • We really enjoyed this space and Adrienne and her family were very welcoming and helpful. She offered lots of good advice and suggestions for tours around the area and where to hike, explore and eat. The room was clean, private, comfortable and bright, with a lovely view of the pastures. Would love to come back :)
