“Not in Fowey but at the nearby Polkerris beach. KEEN walkers can walk to Polkerris from the Old Watermill and work up an appetite for lunch and then get a taxi back. The restaurant is an old RNLI lifeboat station (1859-1922) with beach frontage. Dogs accepted at outside tables. Lots of seafood, and locally sourced produce. Great pizzas from wood-fired pizza oven. Have a cocktail and watch the sunset. Also open for breakfast. Same website as Sams above. ESSENTIAL TO BOOK AHEAD ”

“Just because it is simply the most amazing food made by owner and been there since day one. Can be a wait but order early and say time you’d like to pick up. (Keep it to yourself) Plus you can get ice- cream in the day! ”

“As its name suggest this now famous cafe is 'hidden' above Porthcurnick Beach. Feast Nights are almost impossible to get into but you can still visit the hut for lunch during the season (its all outdoors so not open all year round). ”

Cafe
“JUMP OFF A CLIFF: The Zip at Adrenalin Quarry in South East Cornwall, is the UK’s maddest ever zip wire. Long, high, fast. Twin wires cross the flooded depths of the old quarry, sheer cliffs rise on either side. The Zip is the only place in the UK where you can just turn up and jump. NO NEED TO BOOK! No fuss, no pre-booking, no hours of waiting around – we throw you off cliff within minutes of arrival. We're easy to find, just off the A38 main road. Perched at the top of our cliffs, The Giant Swing hangs 50ft off the ground, 150ft over water. You’re hoisted to 80° then plunged 3-at-a-time over the lake. Just when you think there’s no turning back, you pull out of the dive and experience zero gravity, before doing it all again – backwards. ”

“Provedore is a neighbourhood Tapas Bar and Cafe, run by Bev and Tim MacKenzie and is situated amongst the terraces high above the harbour town of Falmouth. Provedore is very much a meeting and eating destination in the day and cook up interesting and tasty Spanish, North African food on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, not forgetting the odd Malaysian dish here and there, inspired by their travels. £££”
