Fiji Airways, Fiji’s national carrier, has regular flights from many international destinations (Auckland, Christchurch, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Honolulu, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Hong Kong). Jetstar, Air New Zealand, Korean Air, Pacific Blue, V Australia, Air Niugini, Air Vanuatu, Air Caledonie and Our Airlines also fly regularly to Fiji. Where do we board? Seven-night depart and return at Nadi Port Denarau , a quick 30-minute drive from Nadi airport to the marina. How do I get to Nadi? A popular getaway spot, and it’s easy to get too. There are several flights daily, and the simplest way to check schedules and airfares, and book your flight, is to visit (URL HIDDEN) or look up flights on the internet or see your travel agent. Nadi International Airport is the main gateway to the country for most travelers, and there are several domestic airports scattered throughout the islands. How do I get to the yacht? A quick taxi ride (depending on traffic of course!) approx 35 minutes to Port Denarau, you will need to pay the provider directly. La Vie will meet you at the given destination. Which documents and procedures are required? You must complete and sign the following documents: charter contract, guests list, and bring passport photocopies. When do we start having fun? We tend to operate on a modified version of island-time, so the answer is simple: The idea is to be flexible, fun and as stress-free as possible, and we encourage guests to arrive any time after 9:00am. The sooner you’re aboard, the sooner you can start enjoying the experience. When do we disembark? Checkout time at the end of your charter is typically 8:00am, but we’re flexible. Early flight? We’ll get you out of here ahead of schedule. Time to kill on travel day? Please check with us ahead of time, and we’ll do everything we can to simplify your schedule. What formalities must be completed? Before your trip, make sure you have all the documents required for your vacation -visa, vaccination certificates, authorizations, etc. Each passenger must have a passport valid at least 6 months after the date of return. For Fiji a 4 month visa is granted automatically on arrival to visitors from most countries. You needn't do anything other than have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay. Fiji Duty & Duty Free Concessions Each passenger of 17 years or more may bring the following goods into Fiji, duty and VAT free, provided they are accompanied and are not for sale: Cigarettes, not exceeding 250 sticks or Cigars, not exceeding 250grams net weight or Tobacco not exceeding 250grams net weight or Any combination of (1) to (3) above, provided the total net weight does not exceed 250grams Spirituous Liquors not exceeding 2.25 litres or Wines, not exceeding 4.5 litres or Beer, not exceeding 4.5 litres or This all sounds great, but what if I need a bit of help? Just get in touch! Our goal is for every guest's experience with us to be a seamless, rejuvenating one. We’re happy to help with travel arrangements as much as we can. Questions/Answers What is the role of the Captain? The Captain is in charge of the boat and the crew/guests. He also helps plan your itinerary according to weather conditions, the duration of the your stay and your choice of activities. How do we provision? Provisioning may be limited, the crew will do their very best to create beautiful tasty meals. A standard captains bar is available. Special liquors & wines are not included. For Honeymoon Charters 'everything' is inclusive, except shore based activities. What safety & security procedures are in place? Upon arrival your Captain & crew will run though a safety procedure- where life jackets are kept, man overboard procedure and where the first aid kit is, how to use the radio in an emergency and perimeters for safety of your children.
