“The Zugliget Chairlift (Libegő) is a fun, alternative mode of transport in the Buda hills. Transporting passengers between Zugliget and the road leading up to the Erzsébet Lookout Tower, the Chairlift takes you calmly up the side of János Hill in about 15 minutes – while providing panoramic views of the Buda surroundings. The Chairlift is operated by the city transport company BKK, a single ticket costing 1,000 HUF, return 1,400. It can be reached by taking bus 291 from Nyugati station to its final stop. Whether for a special date or just a relaxed outing in Buda – a trip on the Chairlift is a unique experience. And new features planned for 2019-20 should make the journey a bit more special in future.”

“The Szemlő-hegyi Cave is Budapest's underground flower garden. The most beautiful and most typical parts of the cave can be observed during the guided tours on the 300 metre long tourist path. You can see walls covered with thick layers of mineral deposits that are unique in Europe: splendent, white crystals of gypsum, popcorn formations and calcite rafts. The comfortable and safe pavements and the modern electric lighting make the tour even more enjoyable. Thanks to the clean, dust and allergen-free air of the cave respiratory diseases have been successfully cured here. OPEN: every day except for Tuesday from 10am to 4pm.”

“Named after its street address, Csalogány 26 is a tiny but quite famous restaurant in Buda, its acclaimed kitchen a marriage of traditional and fine dining. Despite being one of the best in town, this restaurant is far less pretentious than some of its Pest-side counterparts. It is elegant, yet modest with harmonious flavours and a rich wine selection, with examples from the best Hungarian wineries (Káli Kövek, Villa Tolnay). The constantly changing seasonal dishes are prepared with precision from quality ingredients.”
