A charming old rural house. It is located in one of the surrounding Svilengrad villages which carries a strong name - Shtit (in Bulgarian it means "shield"). The place wouldn't suit the luxurious needs of the citizen. Domestic animals in the backyard
Space constitutes from 2 buildings - one is bigger, with 3 bedrooms and a common space. One of the bedrooms is for the owner. The other building is suited for a kitchen during the winter. There is an outside wood-based cooking stove. There is a large backyard and garden. Domestic animals such as chickens and a dog are keeping us a company. If in winter, heating is with wood. There is no Internet in the house. Coverage is poor.
The village is quite small. About 20 houses. Half of the houses around are empty - they belonged to old people who are no more among us and their children/grandchildren have moved to the bigger cities. We are very close to the border with Turkey so there is a constant border police presence around.
