Quartier
“Constantly bustling -- people use the square mostly as a space to relax and soak up a bit of sun, and to wallow in the atmosphere created by the surrounding cable cars, hotels and shoppers. Great for people watching! There is free wi-fi provided by the city. Look under the leaves of the greenery in the planters, and you'll find a few power outlets for your laptop.”

Baseball Stadium
“If you've never experienced a baseball game this is the place to do it. Since the SF Giants aren't doing so well lately you can get last minute tickets that won't cost an arm and a leg. If in the bleacher seats in the day bring sun block. Great views of the Bay and some good food to be had.”

Quartier
“Built near Portsmouth Square, the historic heart of San Francisco, Chinatown is the oldest and one of the largest in the United States. The entrance to Chinatown at Grant Avenue and Bush Street is called the "Dragon's Gate." Inside are 24 blocks of hustle and bustle, most of it taking place along Grant, the oldest street in San Francisco. This city within a city is best explored on foot; exotic shops, food markets, temples and small museums comprise its boundaries. Visitors can buy herbal remedies, enjoy samples at a tea bar or order a "dim sum" lunch. The former central telephone exchange of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company stands at 743 Washington St. Now a bank, it is the first Chinese-style building constructed in San Francisco, and the exact site where California's first newspaper was printed.”

“Located in Pier 15 on the Embarcadero, the Exploratorium is an interactive museum inspiring creativity in people of all ages. Explore more than 600 hands-on exhibits and enjoy breathtaking views of the city and bay in the spectacular glass-and-steel Bay Observatory. Ignite your curiousity as you step inside a tornado, walk across a fog bridge, and crawl through total darkness in the Tactile Dome using your sense of touch as your only guide through the maze.”

“The best pizza in San Francisco! Pro Tip: You can join the waitlist online to reduce your wait time by using Yelp. I recommend adding yourself to the waitlist about 30 minutes before you'd like to dine, and an 60 minutes ahead of time on Friday and Saturday nights.”

“Charming restored original ferry terminal, now housing unusual shops, food markets and restaurants ( famous Slanted Door is here and my fav, Hog Island Oyster.) Nice views of the Bay. Suggest you take the restored street car (MUNI) line from the Castro down Market Street to the Ferry Bldg, that will give you a better sense of SF along the ride. ”

“Got to start lining up at 7:30 otherwise you will have to wait 90 minutes. Is it worth it? Depends on how hungry you get while waiting in line for 90 minutes. At that point you talk yourself into thinking its worth it otherwise you will feel like a fool.”
