**READ ENTIRE LISTING PRIOR TO BOOKING.** Right next to Clear Creek in Silver Plume, CO. Great outdoor launch pad. Very simple space. Close to a lot of great hikes, and one of the closest place that you will find to 14ers Mt. Bierstadt, Greys Peak and Torreys Peak.
The unit is a cottage duplex of a larger building and is approximately 400 sq. ft. Quaint and humble. This is not the Ritz Carlton, but is good if you're looking for a simple and affordable place. One bedroom with a queen size bed. The second bed is a futon in the living room/dining room space that folds out into a queen size sleeping pad. The space is recommended for 2 people only, but can accommodate up to 4 if you are "dirtbagging" it. Clear Creek passes literally just feet behind the cabin. You can open the window and watch the creek go by as you brush your teeth in the morning. We also have a cozy little sitting area where you can peacefully enjoy the tranquility of the mountain stream. Peaceful (and affordable) mountain living at it's best. ** Because of proximity to the creek, I do not recommend this location for families with small kids. Simple kitchen to meet your cooking needs with a small dining table set. Here are the things that you might not like. I prefer that guests have realistic expectations for the space. If these things are necessities for you, perhaps a larger place would suit your needs: - No dishwasher/washer/dryer. - Space does not have WIFI. - No television, but really... is that what you're here for? - Shower is small. May be uncomfortable for anyone taller than 6'. - Small space. I recommend only for 2 people, but if you don't mind being cramped or are on a tight budget, 4 is possible. - Limited parking. Only room for one vehicle. - I have Verizon and typically have good cell service. Guests with other service providers have reported not having cell service at the house. - Near the interstate. Some people report that the intestate noise is bothersome, but I've never really noticed it much. - The second bed is NOT comfortable. It is a futon. All futons suck. That's why I only recommend this place for 2 people, unless you are "dirtbagging" it.
This is not a remote cabin. It is in the town of Silver Plume and I have neighbors. Please respect their privacy and expectation of a peaceful and quiet life in the small town. The town of Silver Plume has a very rich history. That history can be viewed by the general public either at the George Rowe Museum, which is in the original school house of the town, or by walking the 7:30 Mine Trail, which gives the individual a grand view of the Silver Plume valley and the town nestled at its base. Many tales circulate about the small "Living Ghost Town". One involves a much-beloved citizen from the mining days, Clifford Griffin. According to legend, Mr. Griffin came from the state of New York, where he was raised. Griffin became engaged in New York, but his fiance tragically, and mysteriously, died the night before their wedding. Her death was contributed to unnameable "natural causes", and to escape the painful memories of his beloved, he moved to Colorado with his brother, who eventually became the owner of the 7:30 Mine (so named because their day shift started a generous hour later than the other mines, who started at 6:30 AM). Clifford became the manager of the 7:30, and was much loved by his miners for his kindness. According to local legend, every Christmas he bought all his miners a goose for their families, and every Fourth of July, he paid off every bar between Silver Plume and current-day Bakerville 4 miles (6 km) to the west, so his miners could enjoy their holiday without spending their family's money. Not only did he take care of his miners, every evening he provided him with entertainment as well. Since he could not bear the daily sight of his men with their wives and families after his tragedy, he spent a great deal of time near the entrance to the 7:30, which sits about 1,500 feet (460 m) above the town of Silver Plume. Every evening he would sit near the edge of a nearby cliff and play his violin. Due to the incredible acoustics of the valley, the entire town could step outside and listen to his concerts. According to local legend, one evening, after a particularly beautiful recital, the residents heard a gunshot. Assuming the worst, the miners of the 7:30 raced up the trail to the entrance, and there they found Clifford Griffin, shot through the heart, in a grave he'd dug himself. A note in the nearby Manager's Office told the tale. It asked the residents of Silver Plume to leave him where he lay, because that's where he'd experienced the most happiness since his wife died. Not only did they follow his request, the town erected a 10-foot-tall Gunnison Granite monument in his honor, directly on top of his grave site. The monument can still be seen today, on the cliffs directly in front of the 7:30 Mine.
  • Jimmy's place was amazing! Silver Plume is a crazy little town, and nearby Georgetown is the definition of cute little mountain town. Highly recommend!

  • The cottage was very clean and cozy. The owner answered all questions we had thoroughly. The town was absolutely beautiful with great hiking trails within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

  • The home was very cozy, warm and welcoming. All though there is no wifi or tv, it was amazing to be off the grid for relaxation. They're shops around 8-10 miles in either directions which is very convenient. There is also trails really close that could be explored all day. Denver was only 45 minutes away if you wanted to get the city experience. It was a great stay.

  • Wonderfully cozy cabin! Great place to stay for our weekend getaway to the mountains. Conveniently located close to lots of resorts, Georgetown, Silverthorne/Dillon.

  • Jimmy's place was Great!! The location was very convenient and yet still off the beaten path a bit. It was really nice to have the rushing river to sit by and as the background sound while inside! I also enjoyed his design sense. The bed was super comfortable as well! Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

    Robin2016-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • This a great little cabin! It is super cozy and in a nice quiet town. If you're looking for a relaxing area to chill out and explore this is definitely it! The creek is beautiful, and just very soothing. There is a dispensary literally 2min walking from the cabin if you would like to experience Colorado's special laws. Be aware there is no TV, but you're on vacation, you don't need to be watching TV anyways! :) Overall my experience was great, I had no problems at all and Jimmy was very helpful!

    Adam2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • A nice little place to stay. Small, but very well equipped. Comfortable bed and pillows (I slept great!). I liked just sitting out by the creek (right out back, or to the side) and knitting and drinking wine. My main complaint is that I only stayed one night. I'm looking for dates to go back for at least two nights. Additional info... There is no WiFi or TV at the cabin so I loaded some movies onto my iPad in case I wanted something to watch at night (which I did). My iPhone is Sprint and I got some 3G service. It was slow, but did go through. My iPad uses AT&T which said it got 4G service but really didn't work that great. But then I wasn't there to connect to people at home!

    Carol2016-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • It is a very quaint house right next to a lovely, flowing river. We never were able to meet JImmy, but he gave us some fabulous tips about what to do nearby.

  • Pete's condo was very clean and stocked with everything you would need in a place to stay. It was an easy hour and 15 minute drive from the Denver airport and Pete made it easy to get the keys as we arrived late in the evening. The town of Georgetown is super cute and we really enjoyed all the restaurants and shops and of course the Georgetown Loop. We would stay in this condo again!!!

  • Location cannot be beat if you're interested in great hiking (St Mary's Glacier, Chief Mountain). Close to great local breweries (Guanella, Westbound & Down) and with plenty of shops in town to equip you and entertain you. The apartment if perfect for travelers who want to spend their time exploring, but need a well equipped place to lay their heads after a day of fun. Highly recommend taking your coffee and going for a stroll around the lake around the corner. Book it!

    Barbara2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a great stay. Excellent location in a great little town with easy access to plenty of beautiful hiking and sight-seeing. Pete was also great with quick responses. Would definitely stay again! Just perfect.

  • Really comfortable spot, on the first floor so it's very convenient. There's a wood stove for some great evenings, and everything is clean and well cared-for.

  • Pete's Basecamp "raises the bar" on rentals! We told him it should be GIG Basecamp for "Gem In Georgetown"! You are greeted with cleanliness, lovely décor, valuable info packets with a welcoming snack, high grade appliances and furnishings and even heated bathroom floor tiles! The corner unit is on the backside where the peace of quietness and privacy were a pleasant surprise. One looks out to nearby chalets, grove of Aspens, or the rocky mountain side. Deer made their trek through as well. A perk is the nearness to the Laundry room (kept very clean). For hikers, trails are just out the patio door as you go up the hill or out the front around the lake area. We had one issue with the garbage disposal and Pete handled this immediately. When he found out we had sinus problems with the altitude, he returned with his personal Vaporizer! We felt treated like friends! If there were a 5* Plus rating, we would give it!

    Roy2017-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pete's Basecamp was perfect! My husband and I came in to see a very clean place to call ours for a week. It was in middle of everything we wanted to see. Within a half hour drive we found restaurants and breweries with delicious food and brews. In Georgetown, there were shops and good breakfast places. The mountains completely surround the whole town. We went to the wildlife viewing station on the outskirts of town to see big horned sheep. Basecamp was a perfect place to relax and unwind!

Lovely private suite with mountain views and a peaceful ambiance. Perfect for hikers, skiers, or anyone who wants to just chill out on a mountainside in Colorado. Less than an hour from Loveland & Winter Park ski areas, 60 minutes from Denver.
Private bedroom and bath available in large house, surrounded by National Forest for great snowshoeing and cross country skiing right out the back door. If you are lucky you might see some of the wildlife in the area which includes deer, elk, moose and fox.
Peaceful and quiet country location; 15 minutes from quaint and historic Idaho Springs with numerous restaurants and shops.
  • My host made us feel welcome even though only a few days before, she had had surgury. The place was clean and quiet and comfortable. Bring food for all your needs.

    Deborah2015-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cecilia' s place in a beautiful canyon just a few minutes from town. The room was comfortable and clean. Enjoyed a cup of coffee in the morning on the patio in front of my room. Cecilia was quick to answer my last minute request. I highly recommend starting at her place and would go back if I needed a place to stay near Idaho Springs.

    Peter2014-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Cecilia's home. It is a very easy drive from Idaho Springs (although it looks more difficult on the map) and is perfectly situated to visit Idaho Springs, the Arapaho National Forest/Park, Echo Lake Park, etc. Cecilia is friendly and accommodating, knows the area well and can make suggestions for favorite excursions if you need some. The room that Cecilia offers is spacious, private, has a private bathroom nearby (used only by the guest(s) generally). An outdoor entrance nearby means you have as much or little privacy as you prefer. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the area is very quiet, peaceful and dark at night. There was very hot water in the shower and great water pressure. I have no complaints about her accommodations at all. In case anyone wonders, I think that this room and bathroom are easily handicapped accessible with the exception of the shower (although it has a handheld showerhead/hose, the shower is small and would not be likely to accommodate a shower chair or transferring). The only change in elevation from the parking to this bedroom is a 2" edge between the concrete and gravel. One note for those staying in this area in general: the cell phone reception is miserable, no matter what carrier you might have. Cecelia has a telephone with local calling but if you anticipate needing to keep in touch by telephone, grab a prepaid phone card before you leave town. I am already planning to try to stay with Cecilia again when in the area. I have no reservations about recommending her home to other people. Enjoy!

    Lisa2012-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cecilia was a great host. She was very accommodating and communicated with me every step of the way. If its snowy season I would definitely recommend a car with awd or 4x4 as it can become an issue. Cell phone reception stinks but it's a mountain ski home for a reason. For those same reasons pack some warm clothing. Would definitely stay there again!

    Thomas2013-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable and quiet. Slept very well, thank you

    Michael2016-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This location is excellent. Cozy room with the comforts of home. Loved the access to Mt. Evans.

    JoAnne2017-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • I had no problems finding the property. Everything was clean. The back patio was a perfect spot to sit with views of the mountains. The best thing about the property was that it was in a nice spot with nature all around.

  • Dede was sweet, communicative and thoughtful. She turned on the space heaters for us to warm up the room before we got back for the night.

  • The barn was a fantastic home away from home! Stacey the host made sure that we knew she was always available should something arise but there were no issues at all!

  • We had a great stay at The Barn in Georgetown! We would definitely stay here again. The town is great and the house was perfect and cozy.

  • We couldn't rate everything since unfortunately we were unable to make it to Georgetown. Our car broke down in Nebraska on the way. We had booked it the day before and Michael was great about getting back with us and assuring us all was ready for our arrival. Great communication. Appreciated his prompt response and were really looking forward to the stay. So disappointed we couldn't get there! Next time!

    Amy2016-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Michael had everything ready for us and the upstairs bedroom was very comfortable. His place is 1/4 mile from I-70 so very handy. Nice quiet neighborhood too.

    Robert2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Michael’s place was a wonderful stay - he was so welcoming and kind and the room is everything we needed and in a very beautiful area. Would highly recommend!

    Carson2018-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Came in late and left early. Very accommodating.

    Scott2016-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Though the reservation was for one room, Michael graciously gave us the opportunity to use the common areas as our own as well. There was an action film already queued up on the TV, and micro popcorn was on the kitchen counter for us.

    Eric&Ana2016-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • You're not going to get any closer to the Guanella Pass without camping! I was up 6:00 and on-trail by 6:30. Beyond being convenient, Michael's place was clean and comfortable. The place is right off of I-70, so you do get some road noise, but I loved the cozy bed and felt well-rested heading into my hike.

  • Loved the house - we had the best time in Georgetown and the house was perfect. The view from the room is spectacular...Elise was responsive and friendly. I would love to live in her place full time! Will definitely return.

    Stasia2015-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great! I had the place to myself, but it would have easily been big enough for three couples. The house is clean and comfortable and a short walking distance to several little restaurants in Georgetown. I wanted to come out here to do some hiking/camping and the place was perfect for that, situated in the middle of the Arapahoe National Forest and half an hour drive north of the Mt. Evans Wilderness. Elise was also great and was very helpful. An excellent trip!

    Benjamin2013-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 1 month whilst relocating to the area. We loved this house and Georgetown! It's a really historic house but is still super cosy and with modern conveniences like an excellent washer dryer. Elise was a fantastic host and helped us numerous times with queries. There are a few really good restaurants within walking distance too (if you're brave enough to slide down the drive when it's very snowy!). Thank you Elise, we wish we could have stayed longer!

    Jodie2015-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Elise's house is adorable, roomy and has a wonderful location. The view is amazing too! We really enjoyed hanging on the porch and relaxing to a beautiful view. Georgetown is a cute town, which we stopped in some shops and ate at Euro Grill which had some good Czech and Hungarian food. We did a lovely hike up at Guenella Pass. We enjoyed having a lovely house to stay in with amenities, but have beautiful nature around us. (Since we didn't feel like camping and roughing it). Looking forward to staying here again!

    Theresa2013-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • "Postcard" views from every window made this a magical adventure on the side of the mountain overlooking the quaint, historical town of Georgetown. We were like the "Georgetown Grinches" looking down on the town while being very secluded and quiet. However, it was only a few minutes walk to be in the center of town for shopping and entertainment. There were books and movies galore and numerous "nooks" to just relax. There is a perfect blend of the historic home with modern conveniences (great, well-equipped kitchen!). We would love to do this again!

    Roy2016-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great time staying in this Victorian home while in Georgetown. Great view from the house with modest accommodations int he rooms. Elise was not able to be there while I was there, but was great about communicating and being available for questions. I enjoyed hiking in the area and sitting on the front porch with a view of the town and lake. I really wish I could have stayed longer. The pictures are accurate to what it looks like, the internet was strong and the water hot. The driveway is pretty steep though my KIA did just fine. Parking in the driveway and turning around is a bit of an adventure, but with just myself there is was fine. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

    Lauren2013-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The house is spacious--adequate for a family or group of 6+ people. The upstairs bathroom is very large and has a nice shower (this is in addition to the main floor bath with the clawfoot tub/shower). For me, the visit would have been enhanced had cable TV had been available as had been advertised in the listing; I believe the owner has now corrected the listing. Having arrived on a rainy, cold day, it would have been nice to have had cable or satellite as I had expected. As others have noted, the kitchen is well equipped and provides some often-used condiments. The first bedroom upstairs has an excellent, comfy bed--nice and firm but not hard. On leaving, I was concerned that though instructions had been to latch the garbage can securely because of wildlife, the latch itself is broken. I hope the owners didn't arrive to find trash spread around the yard.

    Deborah2016-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great house! We felt like it was a relative's home that we came to visit. Elise was a great host. I would recommend staying here.

  • Our family had a wonderful time at James's condo! It was super clean, great location, and I love the upgrades that James has done. While there is only one bathroom, it is extra spacious with plenty of moving around room. The layout of the condo was great for our family of 5. Georgetown was a great location for the activities we had planned - skiing Loveland, tubing in Frisco, horseback riding in Silver Plume, riding the Georgetown Loop Railroad, and gondola ride for lunch at Breckenridge. We also loved the little Mexican restaurant, Lucha Cantina, and coffee house, Kaffehuset, in downtown Georgetown. Thanks, James!

  • Thanks for hosting us! We loved the house and town. We'll for sure come back. The house had everything we needed, definitely felt like home. Shops and restaurants are very close and ski resorts as well. Very satisfied

  • Stayed here for a weekend riding at Loveland. Perfect location for our trip. Easy drive from Denver and 15 minutes to resort. Close to a breakfast cafe, gas station, and a few good restaurants. James was a cool host with great communication and easy check-in/check-out. The condo was clean and comfortable. Will definitely try to book again if we return to Loveland!

Modern studio in a very private detached bungalow on the main historic street of Georgetown, Colorado. Surrounded by museums and homes of the 1800's. Great getaway 40 minutes west of Denver, on the way to the mountains. Loveland Ski Area 13 minutes west. Great summer/fall/Christmas festival lodging and Loop Train riding. Cozy and very clean. Very comfortable queen futon and full mattress bed in nook. Bathroom with shower, kitchenette, ample parking out back, 250 square feet. Sorry, no pets.
Kitchenette has a 2 burner cook top and microwave, but no oven. Smaller fridge and freezer. Coffee maker. Basic supplies and essentials for breakfast, hot beverages. No TV, but good internet to use your computer/devices. Curtain separates studio from the bathroom. Again, this cozy studio is 250 sq. feet, 1 large room, with a shower bath, kitchenette, and extra bed nook...see photos
Very few residential properties on 6th Street, right in the center of all the fun and history. Take a trip back to the late 1800's. Sunny and scenic. The property is located next to the historic Georgetown Hydroelectric Power Plant/Museum and transfer station. From the cottage, you can see the transfer station lines and large poles. The power plant and its museum are located next door, out of sight of the cottage. The station is powered by wind energy and does not cause any air or water pollution. The wires are on the smaller side with less EM exposure then high tension wires. It is owned and operated by Xcel and connected to the Cabin Creek Hydropower generators. Plant is run intermittently during the year, with peak operation during spring runoff. The 1865 year old main house was an assayers office, then a family residence until 2011 and then a rental. The cottage was built in the 1960's and then renovated in 2013. Small retail space located between cottage and 6th Street.
  • Extremely quaint, wonderfully located mountain getaway. Holly and Steve were absolutely perfect to communicate and associate with. Couldn't have asked for a better experience in this beautiful "small town" of Colorado. I recommend Georgetown, as well as this condo to anyone heading out to snowboard or just generally be in this area of the world.

  • Great place right in the middle of town. Walkable to all restaurants and the brewery. Comfy bed and the space was very clean.

  • Centrally located on the Main Street. A block a way from restaurants and shopping. The cottage is small but comfortable. I would stay again.

  • Great place in the middle of historic Georgetown. The location was perfect for amenities in town, restaurants and as a base for tackling some hikes. The space itself was tidy, spacious and had everything needed. Would definitely come back.

We welcome guests of all backgrounds to enjoy this open-design apartment. Beautiful in every season, it's quiet but accessible to activities. 3.3 miles from the highway, with no other houses in view. Normally the only sound you hear is the creek. Altitude 9300 feet. All the basics in a beautiful setting. Perfect for a retreat or couples weekend, or as an affordable base of operations. Dirt road for 3.2 miles, so we recommend 4 Wheel Drive for November-May. Pets $10 day or $30 week.
The apartment is attached to the house where we live, and a short flight of stairs leads to both parts. You can use a separate entrance or the shared one. Then the apartment has two levels, all open to each other. The main floor contains a kitchen, queen bed, and table. Bathroom is also on the main floor. Up a winding iron staircase is a small sitting room and a loft with a double bed. Think of this place like visiting your auntie and uncle in the mountains: it's welcoming and clean, with a retro vibe. Generally the internet access, Netflix, and phone reception all work, but sometimes Mother Nature sends surprises. So we go with the flow and adjust. First day breakfast essentials provided: eggs, milk, bread, butter, jam, coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, basic spices and oils, granola, pancake mix and maple syrup, hot cereal, applesauce. UV filtered water. Electric and propane heat, kitchenware, humidifier, extra blankets, extra hiking gear if you need it. Bocce ball, frisbee golf. BBQ grill.
This is a mountain neighborhood. Being on the deck in summer is like being in a Disney movie, with birds and chipmunks frisking around. We get visitors like moose, deer, raccoons, pine martens, turkeys, mountain sheep, and yes, rarely a mountain lion or bear. If you worry about critters, you can just enjoy the deck and back yard, and if you are adventurous you can hike around in the mountains. Spring/Summer/Fall activities: enjoy the decks, hike, mountain bike, fish, do bird watching during the day and stargazing at night. Attend a music festival, pan for gold, take a tour (ziplining, ATV, rafting, etc.). Shop quaint stores in Idaho Springs, visit a museum or the rec center, go gambling in Central City or Black Hawk. Winter activities: skiing, snowshoeing, building snow sculptures, sledding, or making pancakes while watching big flakes drift down through the pines. Rec center, museum, shopping.
  • Amber’s place is amazing! Only got to stay one night b/c we were passing thru but i would have stayed longer! Super clean and all the extra amenities were really great. She goes out of your way to make you feel comfortable. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. The pictures look great but it’s even nicer in person. Super host and happy to have been able to stay there!

    Jen2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • The house was gorgeous and the location can’t be beat. Amber and her husband were such kind hosts, very flexible and accommodating. The space is very gorgeous, lots of windows to see the forest and a beautiful back deck. The lofted bed was probably the coolest part, watching the sunrise up there was sublime!

    Elizabeth2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic time at Greg and Amber's place - the best Airbnb we've stayed in! The space was beautiful with great views, and the furnishings, amenities and supplies were clearly very thoughtfully designed and presented. We could really feel the personal touch in every aspect of the stay, and really appreciated the extra mile Greg and Amber went to with extra hiking equipment, recommendations etc. Would highly recommend to any traveler looking for an idyllic stay in the rockies with a personal touch!

    Sam2018-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious and private mountain getaway. Hosts are very knowledgeable about the area and pleasant to chat with.

    Doug2018-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best hosts I have ever met. Amber provided detailed instructions about the location and about the local attractions. The place is amidst the woods with little squirrels crawling up the front porch! A perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of the city. I would recommend it to everyone.

    Maragatham2018-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic trip and we can’t wait to go back! My two band mates and I stayed at Amber and Greg’s place for a week and were very well taken care of. The house was quite cozy - the upstairs bed gave one a wonderful view of the stars at night while the downstairs bed offered a view of all the critters playing in the trees in addition to a magnificent sunrise each morning. Amber and Greg were gracious hosts, supplying us with enough coffee and breakfast for the first few days of our stay. They also mapped out some of their favorite trails and loaned us some hiking gear, which we gladly utilized. On the last night of our stay, our hosts took us down the road to watch the Perseid meteor shower; Amber brewed some delicious tea and Greg brought his night vision binoculars, which turned the already star-speckled sky into an even more vivid, vibrant masterpiece. I can’t say enough good things about Greg and Amber and our stay in Idaho Springs. Highly recommend this location.

    Luke2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Amber is a warm and lovely host. The apartment is a couple miles up an unpaved road so you really feel like you are in the wilderness. When we arrived we received fresh baked bread and homemade cookies. The fridge was stocked with fresh eggs, milk and juice. Lots of stuff to do in Idaho Springs. Definitely check out Mount Evans for a short hike at the summit and Beau Jo's pizza

    Erica2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is #1! It feels extremely secluded and yet close to so much! Such a wonderful balance. It is so stinkin’ cute and clean. Amber and Greg were more than we could have asked for. Amber provided on point directions to the house. She had also BAKED BREAD for us!!!! Which I basically finished in record time. She had breakfast fixins and a bunch of fun extras: bear spray, hiking gear, blankets for the patio, etc. It was the perfect amount of space for 4 adults! You should 100% book this spot!

  • The home has everything you need for a short stay. The kitchen was well equipped, there was a stacking washer and dryer, and the sitting area with TV was very comfortable. This home sits on the creek and is easy to get to with good parking. We ate at the Cooper's Creek Cafe right next door, definitely an added bonus. We also enjoyed a nice walk to the main downtown area past historic buildings, parks, and gardens.

  • Gary's place is warm, welcoming and the decor is new and stylish. Plenty of entertainment, all the amenities, fully loaded kitchen (pots an pans). There's a dollar store 1/4 mile away and a market w fresh vegetables just a few blocks further. It's close to the mountains and ski resorts. I like how it's tucked back into the mountain. Secluded and intimate. I'd definitely stay here again. Thank you Gary for being a great host.

  • Great condo, easy to get to downtown Georgetown or to jump on the hwy to get to Denver. The host is great about answering questions. Too of the line furnishings and has everything stocked. It was wonderful to watch the hummingbirds while we drank coffee.

    Dawn2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience and was everything we thought it would be and more. Newly remodeled, clean, 3rd floor condo. Clear creek is feet away and Georgetown lake is a few feet further. There are humming bird feeders hung on balcony to enjoy. It is decorated nicely and well equipped. Tracy was an excellent host and would definitely stay again. There are 3 flights of stairs and anyone who has difficulty with stairs should keep this in mind. There is also currently a construction project going on with Georgetown lake and this includes heavy machinery and dirt work beside the parking lot but I’m sure will be great when completed.

    Kerry2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy’s place is exactly as described. It’s a beautiful, well maintained apartment in a quiet complex. She was very quick with responding & allowed us to alter the reservation right before we arrived in order to stay another night. Georgetown is a cute town with easy access to Guanella Pass for those wanting to spend time in the mountains.

    Rick2018-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Tracy’s place was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Her home was immaculate, she was helpful and accommodating with any question we had, and the view was to die for! It was the perfect getaway for my husband, two little ones, and I. Thanks Tracy!!!

    Christine2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy's place is very nice. The furnishings are all new and mountain-authentic. The bed is very comfortable. This is the cleanest Airbnb that I have ever stayed at. The views are amazing! I wish I had taken the time to walk along the river and down to the lake. Very convenient to get to. Tracy recommended Georgetown's 4th of July parade. It was great!

Completely remodeled one bedroom unit, built on an original mining claim from the 1870s. This chalet is a fantastic getaway retreat. A stream running (even in winter!) in front of the house adds charm. You'll love the stunning views. Take a hike up the hill and enjoy the view of Mount Evans, one of Colorado's 14ers. Enjoy the mountain air. Great hiking nearby, and minutes away from white water rafting, fishing, hiking trails, gold mines, and world-famous pizza.
This is a 1,000 sqft space dedicated entirely to guests. It is fully furnished, with everything you need. We just finished remodeling it, and everything is brand new. There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom, and a queen sized bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a dishwasher. Close to hiking, skiing, white water rafting, gold mines, fishing, and all of Colorado's outdoor activities.
We live on a quiet road outside of town. Our neighbors are primarily Colorado wildlife. If you're looking for a quiet stay, then this is your place!
  • Great place! Very clean and modern. It is secluded, quiet and peaceful! Me, my boyfriend and our two friend loved our stay here while hiking in Colorado. Carrie had a folder with a lot of tips on what to do and how to get there. The beds where amazing, even the pull out couch. Everything was clean and Carrie was easy to reach. Highly recommend it!

  • Carrie was a wonderful host, the downstairs unit was exactly as pictured, clean, quiet and out of the way while still close to downtown. The bed was super comfortable, the shower looked brand new, and the place had all amenities needed to make you feel at home. This was a great hub to go out into the mountains for a day and a wonderful spot to come back to afterwards. We would recommend to anyone!

  • Carrie's and Jonathan's place was everything we were looking for, a beautiful home up in the mountains, it looked exactly as the pictures we saw, and it was very quiet, tidy, comfortable and was close to Idaho hot springs which we were hoping for. Beds were very comfortable and TV had 300+ channels :) Thanks Carrie and Jonathan for our wonderful stay, I am sure we'll be coming back again)

  • This was the perfect spot to spend two nights as my wife and I hiked St. Mary's Glacier, Mount Evans, and Rocky Mountain National Park! Located on a quiet road, and only a 5-7 minute drive from Idaho Springs (which we loved as well), our space was very clean and updated, and provided everything we needed to wind down/recharge. The outdoor area is serene with a small creek running through the property and a great view of the surrounding alpine forest. Carrie even had a binder with tips/suggestions on the surrounding area, which was very helpful to us as this was our first visit to the area. We would love to stay here again on our next trip outside of Denver!

    Bryan2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • No hassles. Never heard or seen or host but response was immediately if we needed something. Checking in was very simple.

  • Carrie’s place was just what we were looking for. Quiet, comfortable place to come back to after a day of skiing. It was about a 40 minute drive to A Basin. There were several places to eat in Idaho Springs (less than 10 min drive) that we really enjoyed. Definitely visit Mountain Prime- the elk stew was great! The airbnb was very clean and we appreciated having the option of cooking and making coffee in the mornings. Would stay again!

A couple of blocks to downtown, 15 minutes to Loveland Ski, within 1 hour to 7 world class ski areas, 50 minutes to Denver and 20 minutes to casinos. Factory outlet shopping, many restaurants & entertainment just 30 minutes away in Silverthorne.
Enjoy a cozy efficient gas fireplace that will warm you up quickly without the fuss and mess of wood. Walk out the back door and find a nice fenced yard and a place to sit and view some mountains. Out the front door you will also be able to take in the beautiful mountains so close by, you may even see a deer or two out in the yard or neighborhood. Big horn sheep are also common to see in Georgetown and the mountain side. I live in the Denver area only 50 minutes away from property and always available via cell phone. My guests will have privacy but know that I am available to them if needed to ensure they have a memorable stay. Situated on Main Street, my home is surrounded by beautiful historic homes that show pride of ownership. Stunning views of mountains, wildlife, creeks and bridges as you walk through the neighborhood. Walk a couple of blocks and find yourself downtown which offers great restaurants, shopping and museums. Just minutes off of Interstate 70, the home is easily accessible from Denver without having to travel over high mountain passes.
  • I loved everything about the house. The house was even better then the pictures. It was a great, quiet, beautiful area. Not to mention Brent always responded so quickly. I will definitely do this again!! Thank you so much!!

  • We spent 2 nights at Brent's wonderful mountain retreat and we can't say enough about how fantastic it was. Every detail was perfect. The two bedrooms were a great size, the beds very comfortable. The kitchen had every amenity we could ask for, and even a basket of snacks (which the kids really appreciated). The bathroom was divine, it had the most lovely claw foot tub and very luxurious shower head. Wonderful little yard in the book. And I loved how we could walk just a few blocks and have a great breakfast in the heart of the town. If we're ever in Georgetown again, I wouldn't think twice about immediately booking this gem. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • We had a great time at Brent's home in Georgetown. The house was very clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a cozy night in cooking dinner and relaxing. There are also some great little restaurants to get breakfast and a grocery store within walking distance, and the mountain views are gorgeous from every angle! Would recommend to anyone looking for a fun mountain getaway that's right outside the city.

  • Brent's little house in Georgetown was perfect in every way. My husband and two of our grown children stayed for a week and found the house charming and the little town quaint. We cooked breakfast every morning before going skiing or snowmobiling in the full kitchen and enjoyed eating dinner in after full day.

  • Lots of room and everything we needed. The place was perfect for us. After locking the key in the apartment Albert came to the rescue. These are thoughtful hosts.

  • An extremely nice, super clean condo with plenty of room for two people. Super comfy bed and plenty of soft linens. Lots of extra towels, too. High-end bath products available to try. The kitchen had all modern gadgets and modern appliances. And the welcome bottle of wine was very thoughtful!

  • Wonderful place to relax in between enjoying some of the awe-inspiring, but strenuous hiking nearby. The place is as described, but the pictures don’t do it justice. The bottle of wine and chilled beer glasses were the icing on the cake.

    Megan2018-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Even though the space seems small in pictures, it is not crowded and has enough room. Easy to find and great location.

    Vanessa2018-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • As others have said, the place is better than pictured. Nice, comfy couches in living room. Comfortable king size bed. Easy communication/access with key box. The bottle of wine was thoughtful and appreciated (about to have some now )... Terri’s place is a no brainer for Mt. Evans and Mt. Bierstsdt via Guernilla Pass. Would definitely stay again.

  • This was my second stay at Nicholas's home. It was just as good as the last. Very conveniently located and it has everything you could ask for. We left some groceries (and maybe even a bottle of something you need to be 21 to drink) that we didn't finish. Hurry up and book a stay here to finish it all off!

    Brian2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • My young adult boys and I stayed for the long Thanksgiving weekend. It is the perfect location for access to numerous ski resorts, small towns to explore, and hikes. The condo is quiet, very comfortable, and has everything a guest could need. Every detail for convenience was thought out.

    Sarah2014-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was perfect for me: very comfortable, clean, and well-appointed. Check-in/out was a breeze. Everything was great - highly recommended!

    Michael2016-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable, well-appointed condo in a lovely location next to Clear Creek and Georgetown Lake. A+ experience, would definitely stay again. :)

  • Jim, the property manager met us as we were parking and got us situated. He even buzzed us in when we forgot our outdoor key! The condo was exactly as it was described except even cleaner. The location of this property is amazing. Georgetown is beautiful and this property is just over a mile from town. We walked to town 4 separate times enjoying the quaint homes and businesses along the way. We also hopped in the car and visited the train and the Guanella Pass. If you are into fishing, there is a stream that runs right past the condo. We saw lots of fishermen. Overall, we had a great time and we'd like to come back to the same spot. There is so much to do and a clean comfortable place to come back and rest refuel. Thanks for the use of your place Nick!

    Matthew2014-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nick was a great host even though he was out of the country. The condo was great and accurately described. Highly recommend!

  • Great apartment in a great location. My only minor complaint is that there wasn't a decent frying pan or chef's knife in the kitchen.

    Erez2015-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Was a clean house well maintained! Heat worked almost too well and made the place warm and cozy. There was 4 of us in the space but never felt cramped in this spacious apartment. The kitchen made it feel like home and had many things that we needed and forgot for cooking. Great location to ski at loveland which was fun!

Lake/Creek front property just 45 minutes from Denver. Newly renovated with laundry in unit. Minutes to the Georgetown Loop Railroad. Less than an hour to Vail, Breckenridge, & Winter Park . Lots of hiking & fishing just out your front door.
The condo was completely renovated and updated in 2013, including all new appliances, gas fire place larger windows and deck. The unit is a spacious 900 sqr ft and includes a laundry room in the unit.
This condo is on the outskirts of Georgetown where Clear Creek empties into the Georgetown Lake. It is a peaceful & beautiful spot year round. There is quick access to I-70. Downtown Georgetown is only a minute down the road by car. The Georgetown Loop Railroad Depot is only 3 minutes down the road.
  • Nice place located in a wonderful little town. Definitely walkable to restaurants and stores. Nice lake right outside the front door. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

    William2018-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Bryan's apartment is cozy, comfy, clean, and quiet - the perfect base for so many day trip mountain adventures along I-70. The king bed in the master is incredibly comfortable and, as mentioned before, both bunk bed mattresses are full-sized mattresses and also very comfy. We thoroughly enjoyed the gas fireplace on the chilly evenings we visited and the kitchen was well equipped for eating in after a long day of hiking. The apartment is on the edge of town for great star-gazing and wildlife viewing but still just a five minute drive to groceries and several in-town restaurants. Bryan's instructions for accessing the apartment were clear and his communication was prompt. We definitely highly recommend Byran's place for your stay in Georgetown!

    David2017-10-01T00:00:00Z

Welcome to historic Silver Plume! This small house is situated in an amazing forgotten area. Local dining and shopping are 2miles away in Georgetown. Great cocktail bar open weekend. Get away in this small town. Dirt roads, hiking, skiing, bring your groceries and get ready to prepare your meals looking out at the surrounding mountains. 420 house sleeps 6. Need things? just ask. We try to keep it simple here. Taking back to times where life isn’t pretentious. Silver Plume has no amenities.
Welcome to historic Silver Plume Colorado! We own a very charming B&B across the street in a 130year old hotel. We liked the idea of creating a space across the street for our guests to have more personal freedom to enjoy their holiday in the privacy of their own comforts. With that said this is a custom built 1 bedroom 1bath house that sleeps up to 6. The upstairs you will find the bathroom with all your needed amenities. A closet full of lenins to create a place to sleep or relax and watch tv on the cream leather sofa couch. Down the spiral staircase there’s a full size kitchen with a rustic cabin feel waiting your home cooked meals. In the bay window is a bar table that seats 4 with over sized seats where you can play a vintage game of battleship or a round of poker. Just around the corner on the first floor of this cozy cottage you will come Across the sleeping arrangements where 1queen & 1full size bed look at a old brick wall and a wood burning stove. The surrounding area outside is layers of aspens cascading mountainsides, Evergreen’s for miles and wildlife is plentiful. The town is lost in time, with dirt roads and old homes it’s unique feel it’s refreshing to get away to until you ready to hop on the highway to get back into the grind. Whether shopping or dining in Georgetown is your taste simply going fishing or hiking. We have it all. This hidden gem is located near world class skiing and hiking. Your sure to feel refreshed after getting away from the city when you stay in our forgotten little town.
What’s in Silver Plume.. Not much... The Georgetown railroad loop picks up in “Plume.” Marijuana dispensary, weekend bar & coffee, B&B. Just 2 miles down the hill to Georgetown, is where you will find all your survival needs. Including restaurants, grocery, shopping, visitor center, gas, school and much more. We love that old west feel untouched by modern society up in “Plume” as the locals call it. We live with lots of Dirt N Dust in a good old fashioned neighborhood. Hiking, biking and an old cemetery. The Clear Creek river weaves through the town and kids can be spotted playing in the street.

  • The whole experience was great. Tom and Kathy made us feel welcomed and the view form this cabin is great. The four of us had plenty of room and having a fire at night was so relaxing.

  • We enjoyed our brief stay here at Tony & Kathy's cozy cabin. I had a question regarding towels and they answered me right away.

  • Tony and Kathy were kind enough to put up my parents while they came to visit me in Colorado. I did get to spend some time there as well, and I agree with every word of their review, as follows: The charm of this lovely abode shows throughout! Lighting, decor, comfortable furnishings - all speaks of pride of place and we feel most fortunate to have had our time here perched above the town among a splendid view of valley and mountains. The endearing everything about this lovely place will draw us back again. We thank you Tony and Kathy for sharing this Victorian beauty with us. Very very charming home and very very excellent location. It was a memorable stay for us and we hope to return. Rose and Chuck

  • If you’re looking for the perfect mountain town getaway, this is the spot. The property is gorgeous and well-maintained. We loved the living room window’s breathtaking view of the mountains. Georgetown’s shops, bars, and restaurants are only steps away making this a very convenient spot to bring the family. We definitely plan to come back!

  • Tony and Kathy's place is a wonderful place to stay in Georgetown. It is located at the top of Georgetown on the road to Guanella Pass and a few minutes walk to downtown. The house has a nice back garden to sit out in the morning sun and also some chairs and a fire pit below the house. The living room has great views over town. The house is over 100 years old yet still has all the amenities that you need for a holiday stay.

  • Danae’s place in Georgetown was perfect for our family. Every room had a king sized bed and it’s own bathroom which made room selections a breeze. The house was stocked with everything you might need from toiletries to dish ware. We were skiing at Loveland so the location was perfect for us. The house was even decorated for Christmas which was great since we had a 5 year old expecting a visit from Santa. I would definitely rent this place again.

  • Most well stocked home we've ever stayed in. Tons of games and crafts for kids. So many bathrooms. Sunscreen, bug spray. The hosts are so thoughtful and responsive. Best value in Georgetown for a medium sized group. We had 8 adults very comfortable. We did have to share bedrooms. The sofa beds are comfortable, but in the normal bedrooms.

  • The pictures don’t do it justice. The town is so cute and everyone is so friendly. The town is in the mountain. Awesome views plenty of games and just about anything you can think of at your home away from home was there. Check in and out was super easy and she offered to give us late check out since there wasn’t another person coming right after. If you need to do laundry you will have to go to the laundromat which is in the next town. Guanella Pass is a must. Close to Loveland ski resort. It was a little over an hour drive from the airport but was a nice scenic drive. Thanks Danae for sharing your home with us!

  • Good value for the location. It seems to have been recently renovated but when we stayed there in October 2016, it actually didn't seem quite done. In the living room there were some wires sticking out of the wall and some sort of pipe sticking out of the wall with a plastic grocery bag taped over it, which would blow in and out every time the wind blew outside. Pluses--the beds are comfortable and the bathroom floor is heated, which was nice.

    Beth2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon was a wonderful host and the condo exceeded our expectations. Fully stocked with cooking supplies (oil, spices, plenty of utensils and cooking ware). The condo was very clean and was a pleasure to stay in. Sharon's tips for restaurants and things to do around Georgetown were on point, we loved both the restaurants she recommended in the House Manual. Sharon could have been a little more flexible with check-in and check-out times to be more accommodating, but from what I understand she was hindered by the cleaning crew's schedule. Overall a great trip and I would recommend.

  • This is an apartment complex and you will have to climb flights of stairs. It was overal pretty clean. When I book next time I will definitely make sure it’s not an apartment type setting! • We loved our stay in Empire! The cabin has plenty of privacy, but located very close to trails and attractions in the Idaho Springs/Georgetown area. The house had everything we needed for our stay. Matt provided all the details for our stay and some great tips. He was responsive to all of our questions, even after we had settled in. Be sure to stop in at the Mtn Express Coffee Co. for coffee + breakfast. Owners are also very, very nice.

  • My girlfriend and I stayed in this tiny house for 2 nights as we were passing thru Colorado on a road trip. We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay. We arrived late at night but getting into the place was no problem with a lock box holding the key. Upon arrival, everything was clean and there was a manual hanging on the wall with everything we needed to know. The tiny house was in a quiet and perfect location for all sorts of activities. One day we went to Idaho Springs for breakfast and then to Georgetown down the road and had a picnic by the lake. Another day we visited Vail. Morgan and Jordan were great hosts, ready with suggestions and ideas.

    Chris2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect little place for our stay in the mountains and where we planned on hiking. The house was exactly as described and we had great communication with Jordan and Morgan, who answered questions promptly. The space was comfortable and the neighborhood was quiet. We did have a little down time one evening, after hiking and it would have been nice to have a DVD player, but it wasn't really a big deal for one night. Thanks so much for a great stay!

    Megan2017-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little home in a small town with beautiful views!

    Valeriya2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the tiny house so we could get close to Keystone for the weekend and try something different! Location was perfect and Jordan & Morgan couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was perfect! Ultra clean and inviting, we felt at home immediately. You will not be disappointed! Jordan & Morgan really put some thought into their home to make guest feel welcomed. The rustic pine interior is warm and cozy and feels like a mini log cabin. Thank you for the amazing hospitality! J & H

  • This was an absolutely amazing place to stay. Communication was great. The tiny house was very clean, everything seemed new and organized! We greatly appreciated the kitchen supplies that were available. We would stay here again.

High value for price, rents quickly.
Single level, wood floors in common areas, carpeted bedrooms. 1600 sq. feet, much bigger than it looks from the photo of the house facade. Uncluttered, well stocked with essentials. Not too big for smaller groups of 4-6. 8-10 persons still have private spaces. Great front porch and large backyard.

In the summer you can hear a slight hum from the power plant building when the water flow is higher. The station is powered by wind and water energy and does not cause any air or water pollution. The wires are on the smaller side with less EM exposure then high tension wires. It is owned and operated by Xcel and connected to the Cabin Creek Hydropower generator Plant is run intermittently during the year, with peak operation during spring runoff. • This cozy house is beautiful, completely remodeled and updated. It was great having a big open kitchen living area to spend our time. The location is great, within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. We will absolutely return.

    Jodi 2017-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • This was our dream vacation home! The location is perfect to Loveland and other ski resorts and is on the same street as Georgetown's cafes and shops; the home has been fully renovated; was fully equipped with everything we needed from towels to kitchen materials, to board games for our family to enjoy; and the views of the mountains from each of the rooms is phenomenal! We highly recommend this beautiful home and we will be booking it again for our annual trip to Georgetown! Thank you!

    Ryan2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This home was fantastic. We loved the open concept space and the beds were so comfortable. The location was also great because the shops were all walking distance and the mountains were on three sides. We also enjoyed the community food concept. It made making meals much easier. We plan to return next Summer for a whole week. We love this home and hometown feel.

    Tom2016-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • * nice, clean, quiet, spacious home * within walking distance to anywhere in Georgetown * beautiful scenery * great hiking trails right behind the house (along a mountain stream) * front row seating for burro racing

    Ben2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house in Georgetown. We stayed over the weekend and everyone really enjoyed the house. The beds were super comfy and the house is located next to all the shops in downtown Georgetown.

    Marc2017-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Holly was extremely responsive to any questions I had. The instructions for the stay were very through and easy to understand. This place is great for a family as it has four bedrooms! Close to Downtown Georgetown. Walking distance to everything.

    Lauren2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This house was absolutely great for our family of 7. The location, right in the heart of Georgetown, made every charming aspect of Georgetown just a few steps away. We were able to walk, with small children, to museums, Christmas market, really interesting shops and great restaurants, and perhaps best of all, to the amazing City Park playground. The house had everything we wanted, was quiet and charmingly decorated with interesting art and photographs. The photos on the airbnb listing did not quite do the place justice. We were delighted when we stepped into the house.

  • Beautiful views. Awesome Location. Had a Blast. Tim was very helpful with leaving material about the cabin and nearby locations to visit. Overall Great Expierence! Well worth visiting!

    Daron2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Tim's mountain home, we cannot say enough great things about it! Tim was a great host, sending out multiple emails full of information on the history and things available in the area. The email full of restaurants was especially helpful and we enjoyed quite a few of his reccomendations! The cabin is especially roomy and allowed plenty of room for 5 adults to enjoy time together in the living room. The cabin is in a great location and the views are amazing, the pictures just don't do it justice! We will absolutely be returning to experience this relaxing get away again!

    Emily2015-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is wonderful, absolutely as cozy and cute as pictured. Was able to comfortably sleep 6 adults. Huge rooms with an awesome living room to play boardgames. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation and a lot of that was because of the house. Tim was very communicative and kind, and even warned us that a winter storm advisory was in effect for our last day, ensuring our travel plans were unaffected by the weather. Tim's instructions were clear and reasonable, the place is conveniently located for trails, and the views were unbelievable. Would love to stay again!

    Donte2014-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tim was incredibly responsive and provided great information about the local area. The house and location was great for a friends' reunion.

    Tim2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Though we were surprised by the amount of neighbors and view of the interstate in such close proximity, we were not disappointed by the house itself. Very comfortable for three couples and plenty of space. Accessible to hiking and other outdoor activities. We cooked in the kitchen and had no issues with any of the appliances and amenities. Overall a great place to stay, though the pictures do make it seem a bit more remote than we experienced. The cabin is in Georgetown proper and there are houses on either side of the location. Tim was a great host and provided a ton of great information about the surrounding area and close-by activities.

    Garrett2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay and Tim is a great host.

    Ryan2018-02-19T00:00:00Z

  • Our family of six had a wonderful experience staying in Tim's home. In advance of our arrival he provided information about the area and what to expect. He was responsive and communicated well. The home was clean and he provided extras such as coffee, laundry detergent, etc. the home was a great location, views and hiking trails were nearby.

3 (or 4) bedroom, 3 bath home located right where the creek meets the lake in beautiful Georgetown. Backyard beehives on site. We may also have backyard ducks and chickens depending on the time of year.
Bring your fishing poles, the lake is literally in our back yard (adults do need to have a Colorado fishing license though). You are also welcome to bring a canoe or kayak, but the water does get shallow in spots. There is abundant hiking all around, and historic Georgetown is a lovely quaint town to visit just a mile away.
  • Lovely home, comfortable, roomy, plenty of space to spread out. Nice extras in cupboards. Home is very clean and well maintained. Thanks Stacy! Traffic sounds from Route 70 could be heard, but in light of being right on the stream, we could live with it.

    Chuck2017-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stacy's place is such a gem! The location in Georgetown is great- the house is visible from I-70 but yet still has privacy. It is not right downtown, but we preferred to be a bit removed and it takes just a few minutes to drive, and maybe 10-15 mins to walk there. The house was very clean and spacious, worked wonderful for our early family Christmas - there was even a decorated Christmas tree! The house is less than 15 miles from Loveland Ski Area and a short drive to Guanella pass. Also, Stacy was a lovely host. We would definitely recommend staying at Stacy's and look forward to one day booking a summer trip!

    McKenzee2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't wait to stay at this location, everything was better than I expected. Large living areas/bedrooms. Definitely enjoyed our week at this lake house with our family! Can't wait to use your location again Stacy, thank you for being such a courteous hostess!

    Jessica2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Stacey's home! Tucked away in the mountains right on a lake in the quaintest little town only a few miles from Colorado's finest ski locations. The home was warm and clean when we arrived and we didn't want to leave when the time came for us to depart. I definitely plan to stay here again the next time I find myself itching for Colorado.

    Nathan2018-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stacy is a great host. She is responsive, generous and caring. The house is next to a beautiful river! With a short drive you get to mountain skirt where you can experience an amazing hike! it's also a 5-7 min drive from downtown area. The house is spacious and can accommodate 7-10 people. Great for a group trip. The view from upstairs is gorgeous and perfect for reading, writing or Yoga!

    Alireza2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • Three families with small children... house was wonderful, Stacy was helpful and quick to respond. As many others have said, the house is bigger than the pictures show. There are really 4 full bedrooms, though the biggest room might technically be too cold to sleep in during the winter (we had no problems during a warmish December weekend). We will certainly be back. Thanks for everything, Stacy!

    Andre2017-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely great. Close to skiing and comfortable atmosphere!!

    Rob2017-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I stayed here over the Christmas holidays and it was a treat! Firstly, I agree with some other reviews that the pictures don't quite do it justice. The house is very spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. It's location on the lake gives prime views (we saw a bald eagle eating a fish on the shore!) and the price is fair. We also had 2 young children as well as their grandmother to please, and everyone was comfortable and accommodated. We are already looking forward to when we can return again!

Fall River Flat is a recently updated room in our bed and breakfast. It has been repainted with nice calming colors and fresh artwork. The bathroom is a short walk down the hall and fluffy Turkish bathrobes are provided for your convenience. The bed is queen sized on a large, antique walnut frame with an overstuffed mattress and soft linens.
Our home is located in historic Georgetown, Colorado. It is a beautiful Victorian home that has been lovingly updated and kept fresh while maintaining its old world charm. The common spaces are open and inviting and there are two fireplaces downstairs where you can cozy up with a good book or play a board game with your friends. Don't be surprised if you see multiple deer roaming around in our spacious yard! Wildlife is abundant here as we are located at the beginning of Guanella Pass.
Georgetown is a very charming historic neighborhood. We are very easy walking distance to the local brewery, multiple restaurants, unique shopping, art galleries, museums and a coffee shop. Don't forget to check out the book sale at the local library! The start of Guanella Pass Scenic Drive is literally right next door. There are many activities a very short drive away: hiking trails, bike trails, rafting, fishing, skiing, The Georgetown Loop Railroad, Mt. Bierstadt.
  • This Bed and Breaskfast is a very good choice. The hosts are wonderful,so accommodating.the town so historic and beautiful. We would highly recommend this ABNB

  • I cannot recommend the Rose Street Bed and Breakfast enough! My wife and I stayed in the Fall River Flat on a brief overnight ski vacation and the Rose Street B&B was in a optimal location for hitting Winter Park and Copper Mountain in the same trip. It is also situated close to downtown Georgetown and its shops and restaurants. Justin and Jaime were wonderful hosts, the room was charming and comfortable, and the cleanliness of the place was outstanding. The breakfast was also lovely. My wife and I have found our new place to stay on Skications!

    Andy2017-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • The Place is beautifully decorated. The host is with high hospitality and prepares delicious breakfast. She even prepared more food for us to carry on when we were checkingout.

    Liang2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time in Georgetown. Spent one night before hitting the slopes on Saturday. We had a warm welcome and it really felt like home. Very spacious and near a fun brewery. Can't wait to go back and skip the i70 rush to the slopes. Thanks again, Cheers!

    David2018-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The picture on the website does no justice to just how beautiful this place truly is! We were blown away by the authenticity of the Victorian era that’s captured by the home. To top it off they were incredible hosts! Jaime made us blueberry waffles for breakfast with the home cooked charm. We highly recommend staying here!

    Lauren2018-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • When I first made the reservation, I was apprehensive about staying at a bed and breakfast - I had heard too many bad stories of other bed and breakfasts. But, staying here completely changed my perspective. We felt entirely safe, welcomed, valued, and pampered. All the little details, from the coconut hand scrub to the chalkboard with our names were noticed and appreciated. It is clear that this bed and breakfast is not just run out of professionalism, but also love. Whoever walks through these doors is in for a true gift!

    Katrina2018-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Went up for a quick getaway with my fiance, and we had a lovely time. Very pretty house with a nice hostess and excellent breakfast.

  • It’s a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a place to stay for exploring interesting hikes in the Rocky Mountain area. We had a wonderful time staying here a couple of nights to go hiking nearby. I would recommend Mt Flora and Herman Gulch as a good starting point.

  • Had such a wonderful stay, we loved this beautifully restored cabin. Chad and Janet were incredibly responsive and accommodating. We got our groceries locally in Georgetown from a small market. They had the essentials, but if you want specialty items you may want to bring them with you. We definitely recommend this cabin, and cannot wait until our next visit.

  • Marcia and Donald are excellent hosts. Our stay at their home was absolutely incredible and was made stress-free thanks to their unparalleled service. In the days leading up to our trip, I was contacted multiple times in order to customize my stay, which I greatly appreciated. The home itself was prestine, with a great view of the lake and in close proximity to attractions in the area. Everything was even better than the pictures portrayed, and I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in a perfect town.

  • Don and Marcia were superb hosts! Right from the start, they were quick to respond to questions and offer suggestions on things to do in the area. Our group of 16 had a fantastic time at their stunning lake house in Georgetown, CO. I absolutely recommend this place for large groups looking to get some peace and quiet away from the city but still close enough to explore Colorado’s beautiful outdoors.

  • These hosts were great and the house is beautiful! They communicated efficiently and assisted us with what they could, to help us make our wedding absolutely amazing! Don was flexible and accomodating as things came up, as they always do, with a wedding. They have the place stocked up with everything you could need, which is a nice touch! While we didnt have time to fish, it is great that the backyard is the lake! If we had it to do all over again, would have waited till the spring for an outdoor, lakeside wedding. We hope that we can make this place an annual trip for anniversary, and well, for just about any event where a group of us can hang out! We didnt want to leave.

  • We took our basketball team on a getaway to this beautiful home in Georgetown. Donald and Marcia were awesome communicators the minute after we rented this their home. They helped us find places to eat and things to do in the area. They contacted us about check in and gave us a great tour of the facility. The property is immaculate and has more than enough space for very large groups. We would recommend this rental to anyone and everyone. Thanks again to Donald and Marcia for allowing us to spend time in their home!

  • The Georgetown Lakehouse was better than we expected - with scenic views, spacious interior, games, grill, and all the other amenities you could ask for. Would highly recommend for anything staying in the area with a big group.

  • The house was great. It’s very large and accommodating for big groups. We intended to be a group of 16 but ended up with 10 people that being said 16 people would’ve easily fit in that house comfortably. It was very clean and the location was awesome. We were right on the lake and in between mountains. Not too far from the city of Denver, casinos, and ski resorts. Marcia was in touch to make sure everything was going well and to make sure we made it safely. They post a lot of pictures of the house but the one HUGE surprise was the heated garage! With a bar, ping pong table, grill, cornhole, and a dart board. We’ve already discussed returning in the summer and staying here again. I’d definitely return and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.
