The community is hilly, and it was common to see a family of deer on the way in and out of the community. The lower level of the home has views of the gardens lovingly planted and tended by John and Mary, with spring flowers and trees blooming all over at the time of our stay. The private entrance with its walk thru the garden leads to the lower level patio with comfortable chairs, tables, hot tub and BBQ cooking area for outside living. The inside bedrooms are comfortable with lavish amounts of covers and pillows for cool nights. The spacious bathroom is provided with extra fluffy towels and all sorts of unique lotions to try. The brand new kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast and dinner "at home" so we could enjoy extra treats at lunch while visiting the hotels inside Yosemite. John's inside knowledge of Yosemite and the surrounding area helps the novice find their way to great viewing spots. The specialty coffee maker, fresh flowers and fruit upon our arrival, all contribute to one's feeling of luxury and welcome. This is a very special getaway in itself, near the Rte. 120 entrance to Yosemite. Highly recommended."
Private, gated community, 3200 ft. elevation, surrounded by trees, cool in the summer, mild in the winter. 30 min drive to the North Gate of Yosemite National Park + 45 min travel to Yosemite Valley. Grocery store 10 min. away. Closest restaurant is 2 min. away called "The Grill". Several others 12 min. away.

Merci beaucoup

Newly constructed, secluded bungalow sleeps 1-4. Features: Forest/Mtn/Lake Views, Artisan Queen Bed with new mattress, Couch/Queen Bed, Kitchenette (fully equipped & stocked), 50" LED DirecTv, Bluray, Movies, Fireplace, Games, Covered Patio, Gas BBQ & Fire Pit, Hammock, Darts, Ping Pong, EV charger, Table, Dresser, Closet, Central Heat/Air, Solar, Wash/Dryer. $30 per car HOA fee provides security, swimming pool, lake and marina access. Pet fee. No other guests/owner on property -- yours alone!
This space is YOURS and yours ALONE while you are my guests! No other guests, no hosts and no pets unless you bring one! While the bugalow is part of a larger house, no one will be there during your stay -- except the wandering deer and squirrels outside the patio! The view from inside the bungalow and from the patio is forest, mountains and the lake, with no other homes close by. In winter you will see the snow-covered Sierras in the distance. There is a 2 person hammock just below the bungalow which is ideally placed to watch our beautiful sunsets! The bungalow is about 375 sf. in size (25' x 15'). Besides the indoor living space, you have a private, shaded, and rainproof lighted patio (almost as large as bungalow) with large dining table, professional darts game, and propane BBQ with utensils. You also have use of the upstairs sunny deck and furniture, plus the front patio with table tennis and a firepit for stargazing at night! The bungalow itself has a private entrance, wood and stone floors and entrance, warm colors, 2 beds (one is a trundle sofa), living area with fireplace and TV, full bath, closet, dinette and kitchenette (refrigerator/freezer with condiments, microwave, 2 hot plates for cooking, sink & disposal, vented hood, coffee and tea makers, counters and cabinets, pots, pans, plates, glasses, utensils). For entertainment we have darts, table tennis, corn hole, many board and card games, satellite TV and a movie library. The bungalow is tastefully painted in warm yellow and burgundy colors (reminiscent of Italy) and decorated with a beautiful local mountain artwork and some of my personal collection of historic and contemporary rock-and-roll memorabilia. The nightstands are albums and album covers encased in resin constructed by a local artist. For your safety and comfort we employ Nest thermostat and smoke detectors throughtout the space. A fire extinguisher is located in the kitchen. The bungalow resides in the beautiful, gated resort community of Pine Mountain Lake, part of the quaint little historic Gold Rush town of Groveland -- the last (real) town and Gateway to Yosemite Valley, Hetch Hetchy (the other Yosemite), Tuolumne (Sequoia) Grove, Merced (Sequoia) Grove, Tioga Pass, Tuolumne Meadows, Tenaya Lake, Mono Lake, Berkeley Camp, San Jose Camp and Camp Mathers. We are a child friendly home that is designed with their safety and comfort in mind. The bungalow has a trundle bed for sleeping two kids or adults. There are many board games, coloring kits, a chalkboard, and kid-friendly movies for them to watch. Darts and Ping Pong table for older kids. Deck railings are up to code and the electrical system is new. We are parent-friendly and as parents ourselves, we are sensitive to how costly it can be to vacation. Therefore, infants (age 3 and under) stay for free. We are a pet friendly home ($15 additional per pet -- airbnb has a separate booking mechanism for adding this fee). We supply a mat, water and food bowls as well as poopy bags for your convenience. Please clean up as they go and regardless of where they go -- we walk all over this property! When we remodeled we wanted to make a safe space too. Many homes in the area are older and do not meet current deck safety standards (for instance: 42" high rails, no more than 4" spacing between rails), have old and failing electrical systems, old and dusty carpeting/blinds throughout, and older not very energy or water efficient fixtures and appliances. We set out to bring our home up to todays standards both in safety and environment. Safety: Our deck railings have all been redone to reflect the latest standards for safety and meet new minimum height standards and spacing between rails. In addition, deck posts and house connections have all been fully beefed up for additional strength. We sit off the road and there are safe places to play on our half acre parcel. We keep most cleaning supplies locked up or out of reach of small children. However, we do keep detergents under sinks but can move those if you request in advance. A physical landline exists for emergencies and LED lanterns are nearby in case of power failure. An emergency kit is located in the closet. We installed a whole-house surge protector to protect your and our devices! Automatic lighting at the side of the house and top of bottom of outdoor stairs. Clean and Green: When we embarked on our remodel we wanted to make this home as clean and green as we could. To that end we invested in: Solar roof - we recently installed an 8kw solar system on our roof. Electric Vehicle charging system: We currently have a Clipper Creek Universal 32 amp charger which will work with any electric or hybrid vehicle. We have a Tesla adapter if you don't. There is no charge for you to use this service! Clean and germ free: We installed wood and stone floors, and metal or plastic window blinds exclusively throughout the living areas to keep the home as sparkling clean, dust free and mildew free as possible. A state-of-the-art Lennox, whole-house, PureAir air filtration system eliminates airborne particles, germs and bacteria, chemical odors and vapors. We used low VOC paints throughout. Lighting: We use LED lighting exclusively -- indoors and outdoors! In addition we use zero-light-polluting exterior fixtures (Dark Skies). We love our incredibly clear, Milky Way skies for night viewing and do not want to detract from it in any way. BTW, did you know our whole village of Pine Mountain Lake has NO streetlights! Water Heater: We installed a state of the art GE Geospring hybrid water heater which is extremely efficient with its heat pump architecture yet allows us to adjust it for maximum output when we have a large number of guests. This is the only conventional water heater certified by PG&E and the US Dept. of Energy as energy efficient enough to warrant rebates and tax credits. Low water usage: All toilets are state of the art for minimum fuss, and extremely efficient water usage and qualified us for a recent rebate offered by the state. All other bath fixtures are low flow yet are very comfortable to use. We are on a sewer line so none of our waste impacts the land or the lake. We have minimal landscaping that requires minimal watering, using rocks and boulders and the natural surroundings to enhance the yards. We capture much of our storm water and currently have implemented some bio-swales to keep 90% of storm water from running off the hillside and recharge the groundwater instead. You may have heard of the bark beetle. It has caused a lot of damage throughout California. We took steps years ago to thin out our parcel both for fire and tree health. We have not lost a single tree to bark beetle (knock on wood) and we have pro-actively had them injected this fall with medicines that should help protect them for the next several years. Drought and poor forest and stormwater management are the biggest culprits leading to this state-wide damage. Heating and Air Conditioning: Our Lennox whole home HVAC system is so energy efficient it qualified for Federal energy efficiency tax rebates. We use a Nest learning thermostat to also save energy and have been impressed with how good a job it does! The Lake/Marina: We are situated conveniently in Pine Mountain Lake with a lake for swimming (cordoned off area and diving platform), rentals for kayaking, paddle boards, boating and fishing. The marina features a store, rental office, restaurant, grassy park for picnicking, BBQs, bocce ball and volleyball. Other facilities you may access (additional fees may apply): * Championship 18 hole golf course, driving range, pro shop, Country Club bar and restaurant (live music and dancing on weekends). * 6 lighted tennis courts * Swimming pool * Equestrian Center offering horse rentals, trail rides and lessons * Archery range * Shooting range * New Hiking and Mountain Biking trails currently being built. Other nearby attractions: Checkout the photos to see other nearby attractions but here's a summary: * Hiking / Walking trail: - 6 miles roundtrip of hiking along Big Creek * Rainbow Pools: Locals swimming hole with diving off large rocks * Rafting: Raft down the Tuolumne River! Up to Class 5! * Wine tasting: Several great wineries in Jamestown and Murphys 30-90 minutes away. Some newer wineries right in Groveland. * Lake Don Pedro: Bring your boat and waterski! * Giant Sequoias: Tuolumne Grove, Merced Grove and Calaveras Big Trees state park are nearby * Railtown 1897: historical train museum and rides, music. * Gold Panning: take a shot at finding the next Motherlode! * Rim Fire: See the devotion and regrowth from the Rim Fire * Hetch Hetchy: We are 30 mile from the "Other" Yosemite Valley * Biking: Great road and mountain biking all around us * Tuolumne Meadows: Another side of Yosemite most people never see * Carlon Falls: A beautiful hike and swimming hole nearby
"Downtown" Groveland is about 2 blocks long, so don't sneeze or you will miss it. Essential Places you need to know: Marval Market -- good store for most items you may need. Firefall Coffee -- they roast their own coffee and make great breakfast items Randy & Kevin's -- great delicatessan and GREAT PLACE to buy meats for BBQ! Iron Door Saloon -- great spot for food, drink and music Two Guys Pizza - don't bother with anything else! Pharmacy -- for prescriptions, etc. Vetinarian and Medical clinic available.

  • Really lovely studio flat, very nicely furnished and decorated in a stunning setting. A short drive from Yosemite. Couldn't recommend more highly for a quiet getaway!

  • It was an amazing place! We loved the s'mores they provided and it was very clean!

  • William's bungalow was absolutely beautiful! Perfectly clean and very cozy - I wish we had spent more than one night here! It is located in a gated community (there is a $25 fee to enter) and has lovely dark skies and a very secluded feel while still being close enough to the Groveland community. Very close to Yosemite and many other Sierra destinations. We would love to come back here on our next Yosemite excursion!

  • In my honest opinion, and based off of many airbnb encounters, this place has been my favorite by far. Bill was a a very accommodating host and this place was more than what was needed. Bed(s) were awesome, the scenery was incredible and it was only about a 45min drive to Yosemite (with an scenic drive from the very beginning). Also, his he has two Nuwave hot plates which were incredibly efficient, I was able to make full course meals for my GF and myself. I definitely plan on coming back in the future.

    Alejandro2016-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Utterly wonderful - peaceful, there's a hammock in the garden, you wake up to beautiful sunrises through the window. Bill was incredibly helpful with tips for Yosemite and the surrounding area. I would highly recommend.

  • The flat was exactly how it is descibed, very clean, nice view from the terrace, perfect equipped. It was great how Bill took care about us before & during our stay. He gave us a lot of amazing recommendations for the Yosemite NP and around. We enjoyed our time very much.

enjoy rural view & stargazing from the Casita, a sweet rustic getaway for 1 or 2! our organic farm/community center is minutes from restaurants & local fun spots; 1/2 hr from skiing; 1 hr from Yosemite entrance & Big Trees State Park. shared kitchen, yoga space & more in the main house- a 75' walk. PLEASE READ important info in sections below re: farm living, NO bath in Casita (in main house) & details re: children & animal friends. some organic foods available (maybe even from our garden!).
Bienvenue dans Le Refuge... Casita La Paz is a cozy space for those who are okay with rural life (i.e. bugs and dust; see "Other things to note" below) and a short walk to the house for bathroom and kitchen facilities. it has a super plush double bed with 100% organic cotton linens; wine glasses, organic tea bags, cups and an electric kettle; wifi; a private entrance and outdoor "hang out" area; handy parking; natural light; A/C; a drawer for your things; and great books to read. if you are expecting an insect-free, pristine space, you may want to consider another place. we live on a farm in a community setting (we share our home with housemates who help with the gardens and other Refuge projects) where we often have community events, so it's not always perfectly clean- but it is full of love and warmth! CHILDREN: if you have children, snuggly families of 3-4 can share the bed or put a small crib or mattress nearby. (again, please note: there is no bathroom in the Casita; all bathrooms are located in the main house.) PLEASE INQUIRE, as we love children and would like to be able to accommodate you. we just request an additional $10/person for parties with more than two adult guests. ANIMAL GUESTS: we welcome animal guests on a case-by-case basis. PLEASE INQUIRE about the possibility of having your pets stay in the Casita, and note that we kindly request a $20 donation for the extra cleaning required after you leave. we kindly request that you do not leave your pets in the Casita for more than 1-2 hours MAXIMUM for their comfort and safety. we will request a refundable security deposit if you intend to leave them (in case they damage the Casita in any way). thank you for understanding.
the Refuge is located in rolling pasture land dotted with huge oak trees and watched over by a magnificently big sky. during the day, you can hear neighboring horses and cows, as well as our chickens, wild turkeys, hawks and other animal friends. at night, you can sometimes hear coyotes, but mostly the sounds of the breezes blowing through the poplars and eucalyptus. traffic is minimal, so walks down the road are absolutely lovely, especially early in the morning and around dinner time. and, of course, if you hop in your car, you are just minutes from historic Jamestown (antique-ing heaven!) and Sonora (a lovely downtown to explore), an hour’s drive to Mercer’s Caverns and Big Trees State Park, and about a 90-minute drive from Yosemite Valley.

  • Great little cabin right off the main road on the way to Yosemite. Amazing value for a great location, minimalist but quaint and clean room. It was perfect for my brother and I spending a weekend in Yosemite. Garland is very responsive and Luis is very accommodating.

    Austin2018-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Garland's has been great! My boyfriend and I ended up staying one night more than the two planned because we didn't want to leave :) The place is super nice, comfortable and clean. Luis welcomed us, and also thank to him our stay was perfect! He is really friendly, always with a smile, ready to help you or answer your questions. The location is beautiful, on the way to Yosemite Valley and only a short drive to the little village Groveland where you can find groceries shops and restaurants. Really recommend staying here!

  • Super quiet and calm atmosphere. Beautiful view on the back porch and surrounding areas. Host was super friendly and so was the housekeeper. Would definitely recommend!!

  • nice large room and large bathroom. The host, Luis, was full of knowledge and kindness. Waking up and having coffee in front of a woodstove was a special treat.

  • Garlands place is situated in groveland very close to the restaurants but it's still very private and rustic nice looking place. It is very close to yosemite national park. if you put the address in GPS, it directs us to a point , but the house isnt situated there, so better ask for clearer instructions if you plan to have a late check in.

    Pooja2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent, would definitely stay again.

  • If you're looking for simply a place to crash after spending the day in Yosemite, this is a solid option. It's a cozy little bnb with no thrills and little amenities, but it's affordable and relatively close to the Park. Only real hesitation was the cleanliness. The bed sheets looked a little worn and had some residual spots and discoloration of some kind (I don't want to know). Overall, solid place to stop for a last minute layover. Description of the place is accurate.

  • TY and Pats home was a perfect spot to stay after a few nights camping in Yosemite on our way to San Francisco. Their home is truly as beautiful as the photos and pat was incredibly kind. Even though there isn’t a private entry, the space is very private. This was the perfect place to relax after a few long days of hiking.

Beautiful property in the pines 24 miles from Yosemite National Park. Our rustic cabin is a studio with a double-bed & bunk-bed, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Please bring sleeping bags/blankets, dishes and all essentials.
Located at 3300ft in mountain setting near Yosemite National Park surrounded by pine trees, deer, and other wild life. Rustic studio cabin with A/C, heat, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster very comfortable and cozy...
Greeley Hill is a wonderful, rural area with meadows and pine/cedar/oak forest. There are many walking trails in the national forest that lies immediately adjacent to private land. The people here are very friendly and helpful, always willing to talk about the area. We are located on the historic John Muir Trail, the road he took to Yosemite. Did you know Muir herded sheep through Greeley Hill on his way to the high country? Coulterville, 7 miles down the hill from us, is home of the John Muir Geotourism Center, the Northern Mariposa County Historical Center, and the famous Claim Jumpers Re-enactors' shootout. We are also located 60 miles from Dodge Ridge Ski Resort and Badger Pass Ski Area for your winter skiing enjoyment.

  • The cabin was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. Our dog love the front property and walking around the neighborhood. We use the outdoor BBQ for cooking. I would definitely come back to this Airbnb. Dru was a responsive and helpful host.

    Robyn2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beyond perfect. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. Dru and Ron went above and beyond to make sure that this was the perfect getaway. You will not be disappointed while staying here. It has easy access to Yosemite National Park and Dru and Rob provided us with all the info we needed. Definitely coming back and we will make sure our stay is longer next time!

  • It was a beautiful and comfy place that is close enough to Yosemite. It was very clean, quiet and well-equipped. The host was very nice and showed us around the house during check-in. We enjoyed the stay very much.

  • Dru & Ron were perfect hosts :-) The place was super clean and everything was ready for us :-) Communication was easy and all responses were fast. They really took care about our perfect stay. Thank you Dru & Ron :-)

  • Dru and Ron's hideaway was perfectly located to make a day excursion to Yosemite. Both of them were very friendly, very communicative, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The apartment itself was very clean and well stocked with some basic items to help with making meals, and the back porch was a wonderful place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We would highly recommend this to anyone passing through the area and look forward to returning soon.

    Karan2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Dru and her husband were so kind and accommodating. The cabin is separate from the house and so they didn't even hear us arrive, but we went to say hi and they are so nice. It was easy to find and felt like home right away- they even had a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge for us. They also had information on anything youd want to do in Yosemite, including brochures, maps, and local restaurants. They made our trip completely stress-free and had everything we needed. Thank you!!

  • Nancy and Casey are very nice and the house is beautiful at night! I would recommend it!

    Tianyu2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy and Casey were superb and extremely hosts, I would recommend them to anyone. They welcomed me readily into their home, and had tons of advice for where to go, what to do, and where to eat. The house itself was beautiful - I wish I'd had more time to just relax and enjoy the stars on their back deck. I chose Nancy and Casey's place for its proximity to Yosemite, but did not realize how much there was to do closer by. If I'd had more time, I would have definitely explored more of the nearby hikes and scenery, especially since Yosemite is a bit further a drive than I realized (it's a huge and beautiful park, and the edge of it is closer than the valley).

    Jonathan2018-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nancy and Casey's lower-level unit is definitely quiet and cozy. There are neighbors fairly close by but you would never know. The queen bed was comfortable and the couch was cozy. Nice to snuggle up with your partner and enjoy the space. The market that is about 10 minutes away. It's small but has everything you need. An excellent Bakery! So fresh! Of course fresh vegetables since you're next door to the heartland of California. And A well-stocked meat counter. The full kitchen is all you need to make a meal. Just don't buy too much that needs to fit in the little fridge. We enjoyed a couple breakfasts and a dinner and the kitchen was great. Had everything we needed. Nancy met us when we arrived and showed us the place. She was very nice and available for us anytime we needed her. She will even keep you updated with the weather if you ask. We got text updates on the arriving snow. And she was accurate! We opened up the curtains and within minutes snow started falling. It was a beautiful setting with all the trees being dusted with a fresh coat of snow. We had our own parking space and separate entrance with keyless entry. The lower unit is separated from the upper main part of the house. The area you have access to has two levels. The living area, deck, kitchen and the bedroom are on the lowest level. The bathroom and laundry are a half a flight of stairs up where the main entrance is located. Again, this is all separated from the main living area of the house so you have total privacy. Nancy and Casey want to provide you with everything you need and make themselves available for you. They are striving to be excellent hosts which they are. If you're looking for a secluded and comfortable stay that is away from the big city this is perfect.

    Don2018-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place! Clean, cozy and comfortable! I received a warm greeting upon arrival and made to feel right at home. Nancy and Casey are sweet people and their house is in a lovely spot! I would stay again!

  • Nancy and Casey were wonderful hosts and it was the perfect place to get away from it all, while still having amenities such as Internet, tv and a stylishly decorated place. We loved having such an amazing view and being able to watch the sunset from the deck. Their place was clean, the bed was comfortable and they even left snacks and beverages for us. This was one of the best experiences we've had staying at an Airbnb and we hope to be able to stay here again!

    Sammy2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Nancy and Casey's place in the mountains. The flat is huge, sparklingly clean and included all the amenities that we could have wished for (after a few weeks travelling, it was lovely to have access to a washer and dryer). A perfect location for exploring Yosemite, various gold towns, and Big Trees State Park. We only wish that we could have spent longer there! Very relaxing and well appointed—would highly recommend to friends and family.

    Daniel2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Driving into Tuolomne we were worried about our trip being ruined by smoke from the Ferguson fire, but we ended up having a wonderful time, even better than expected! Nancy was able to recommend some areas less effected by smoke and we still had a great time exploring the mountains. We also found a great hike nearby from the hiking book provided on the table. We had ample space and everything we might need to lounge around, cook, and stay in when the smoke was at its worst. Great amenities for comfort and relaxing. During times when the smoke lifted, the views off the back deck were beautiful. We’ll definitely be back during a less smokey time next year to explore down into Yosemite and have a comfortable place to stay close by!

  • We have to give many thanks to Nancy and Casey! For lovely hospitality, for sharing the wonderful appartment with us, cute communication, great tips, just for everything.

  • John is a very nice and caring host. The room was very clean and the bed is soooo soft!! In John's fridge waits a starbucks frapuccino coffee for you every morning which is awesome! We also were allowed to use all kitchen tools and spices in the kitchen. But you should know that the accommodation is located in a trailer park and the ride to Yosemite Valley takes 1,5 hours, so it's not very close. But we would definitely stay there again.

Yosemite WestLake Campground has 21 full-hookup RV/Tent spaces 24 miles from Yosemite National Park. This is a tent site only, tent not included. Must bring all camping equipment.
Greeley Hill is located at 3,300ft in the mountains near Yosemite National Park surrounded by pine trees, lakes, rivers, and wild life. Greeley Hill is a unique rural town with meadows and pine/cedar/oak forest. There are many trails in the forest that are adjacent to private land. Our community is very friendly and helpful, willing to share about the area. We are located on HWY 132 on historic John Muir Trail, the road he took to Yosemite. Just 7 miles down the road, Coulterville is home to the John Muir Geotourism Center, Northern Mariposa County Historical Center, and the famous Claim Jumpers Re-enactors' shootout on Saturday's throughout the summer.

  • Amazing experience! Would recommend!

  • Mac was very responsive when I started interacting with him. The site is clean, with restrooms and showers. It's the first time I used this service and Mac made it helpful.

  • Loved this campsite. There's an actual bathroom with electricity and shower, not just porta potties or outhouses. The camp host, Mack, was really sweet and friendly, and greeted us even when we rolled in late at 9pm. He gave us a rake to clear an area for our tent, gave us recommendations on what to see, and lit the huge fire pit (with beautiful silhouettes of forest animals engraved in it) just for us. The grounds were clean and safe, and the people were friendly. Only 30-45 mins from the park entrance. I recommend this spot if yosemite's sites are filled up.

  • Mac was very friendly and helpful. He provided a map of Yosemite and laid out all the best spots for me, making my visit very enjoyable. The campsite is well maintained and I had everything I needed. The wifi was a little finicky but it worked and there was plenty of cooking equipment. I would stay here again for sure.

    Greg2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Mac's campground was an amazing experience!!! He was very kind, he gave us maps and a lot of advices about what to do in Yosemite and cared about us. The location is very good! We felt very confortable. If one day we come back we will stay at Mac's again!! Marta, Patricia, Natalia and Alicia

  • I visit during dry summer. For tent sites, I found it has cleanest and well supplied restrooms with running water and bathrooms with hot shower. Moreover, Mac is very friendly and willing to spend time to give info about tips for traveling around Yosemite NP. Thanks Mac.

The room is a master bedroom suite with private entrance and bathroom. We are located in Tuolumne 2 miles from Black Oak Casino. Yosemite is a little over an hour and a half away, Cherry lake 1 hour, Pinecrest lake 35 min, Gods bath 30 min, Natural Bridges 40 min, old town Columbia 30 min, many hiking trails and swimming We have a local pizza parlor, cafe, and bar in addition to the casino.
There is one bed and a futon. If needed I have and extra twin mattress that can be put on the floor for a third person to sleep on.
We are on 2 acres here and it is usually pretty quiet. There can on occasion be dogs barking.

  • Marilyn and Larry were wonderful hosts. They have a SUPER CUTE and homey B&B. My friend and I arrived 2 hours later than expected (around 10pm) and Marilyn was there to greet us outside. Breakfast options were plentiful, room and bathroom was clean, house was warm, towels were fresh, free wifi, and people were quiet during sleeping hours. I would definitely recommend it to friends who want to stay near Yosemite, but don't want to camp.

  • Thank you Kristen and Shane for sharing your home with us. It was great fit! Lots of room to spread out, nice views, comfy beds, and all around cozy. We didn't use deck because of the cold, but imagine it would be awesome in the summer. Good proximity to Yosemite and Rainbow Pools are up the road not far away. Thank you too for quickly answering our questions and teaching me how to use wi fi calling. Haha!

Nestled in the pines this cozy home will give you relaxation while watching birds, deer and other wild life. Situated 25 miles from Yosemite National Park.
I thought the property's original cottage was charming, and wanted to save all. Now, however, you can enjoy the beautiful location in the woods, plus the modern furniture, hot water, A/C and heat.
We are a part of a small community of Greeley Hill that boasts 2 gas stations, a market and a hardware store, library and restaurant.
  • Alda was great, amazing home and extremely hospitable!

    Brandon2017-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfect! It's quiet and beautiful all around and the inside is clean, the kitchen is well equipped and it's very comfortable all in all. Alda was very friendly, always replied to our questions quickly and made sure to meet us in person before we checked out, which was really nice. We would definitely recommend staying there!

    Paulina2017-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment but a bit off the beaten track. (Hidden by Airbnb) maps sent us on a dirt road so be careful to avoid those directions and call Alda first.

  • Great place. Super clean and confy.

    Jaime2017-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is very clean and well supplied. Peaceful quiet area on the way to the wonders of Yosemite!

    Barbara2017-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fully furnished, secluded bungalow about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive from one of the Yosemite national park entrances (which is about as close as you can get without either camping or paying a huge premium). The house had all necessary cooking utensils and toiletries. There was even a book with suggested hikes in the area and in Yosemite, which we made good use of! The area is about a 20 minute drive from the closest gas station and market. If you want some peace and quiet, this is the place to go. Our host was also really nice and called on us halfway through the trip to check everything was going well.

    David2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • My fiance and I had a lovely stay at Alda's. The cabin was super cute and the surrounding area was beautiful. The drive into Yosemite is scenic but budget 1.25-1.5 hrs. I loved how Alda's place had literally everything we needed for our stay. Bathroom amenities, seasonings for cooking, kitchen utensils, etc. She also allowed us to drop off some groceries in the fridge before check in time and on our way into the park which was awesome. The space was sparkling clean as well! We are so happy to have found this gem and will hopefully be visiting again in the future. :)

    Emily2018-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We adored our stay! The cabin was very spacious and there was a lovely area outside to sit and watch deer go by. The kitchen was fully equipped with all necessary cooking supplies. There were also basics like spices, ketchup, mustard, etc. I would love to stay here again on our next trip to Yosemite!

------ We spent one night at Nick's before our day in Yosemite during our road trip in the USA in august 2015. Even if we arrived late, Nick was there to welcome us with fresh lemonade and housed cakes. He spent a long time with us to explain everything about the room and the place, and he also helped us planning our next day to Yosemite to make sure we won't lose time and enjoy our day as much as we could. The room and the bathroom are really nice and have everything you can need (there is even a sauna in the bathroom!). The house is in a private base camp absolutely beautiful. We regret we couldn't stay longer. Bonus : we woke up with the song of a lot of hummingbirds and found a few deers down our terrace ! We really spent a great time that we will remember for a long time and wish we will come back someday, for the place and for the host ! Thank you Nick !!!

    Sylvain2015-08-03T00:00:00Z

    Isabelle2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • wonderfool ! So good

We are in a quiet clean subdivision on the hilltop, we have beautiful views and are only seconds from the freeway. • Waouh!!!!! SPLENDIDE !!!! EXCEPTIONNELLE !!!

    Aurore2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Theresa's. The accommodations are roomier than suggested by the photos, and amenities are thoughtfully appointed. Although it's a bedroom within house, the guest unit still felt very private. The house is beautiful and comes with a patio with spectacular views. However, the best part of our stay was the warm hospitality of our hosts. They were welcoming, kind, and Theresa also sent us off with a hearty home cooked breakfast in the morning. Truly the best!

  • The home was just beautiful with just amazing views of the horizon. Theresa and Dan are the kindest down to earth individuals we felt like family 5 minutes into our stay. The house was clean spacious and the room was impeccably clean with a large bathroom. If your looking for a clean and spacious stay this one will win your heart. Dan and Theresa are both attentive and are the most incredible host we have ever met. I work for Apple and my wife is an Architect-Engineer we both are extremely picky. However, we have to say we will be coming back to see Dan and Theresa as they showed us a good time and shared the best experience possible.

  • Fabulous home, loved the Halloween decorations. Beautiful house. Lovely and clean! We sat in the heated outdoor hot tub in the evening looking at the stars. Wish we could have stayed longer. Most definitely recommend!!

Our cabin is located 1.2 miles from downtown Groveland at an elevation of 3300' and 25.7 miles to the Hwy. 120 entrance to YNP. The Hwy. 120 entrance is NOT Yosemite Valley. Yosemite Valley is 24.2 beyond the Hwy. 120 entrance. The cabin can accommodate up to 6 people and is surrounded by "Gold Rush" history. Whether its boating, fishing, swimming, golf, gambling, YNP or just plain relaxing, the area offers something for all. We hope to see you during your next trip to "Gold Country".
The cabin is at an elevation of 3300' and surrounded by pine trees. There are other houses/cabins in the area.

  • Great stop at David’s place before heading to Yosemite. Had everything we needed. Great porch out back to relax!

    Ingrid2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • David's Home was spectacular, the location & view were amazing we were even greeted by 5 deer grazing in the lawn! Very close to the quaint town of Groveland. We had a wonderful time!

  • We stayed here to visit Yosemite. The drive to Yosemite was a little long as it takes you 1-1,5 hours to get to Yosemite Valley, but we knew this before hand and it was no problem for us as we just got up early. The cabin is very cosy and well-equipped. Anything you might need is right there. We really enjoyed the deck outside and using the grill. The cabin does get pretty warm during the summer, but cools down quite well with the swamp cooler and fans. Moreover, David was amazing a communicating with us about the Ferguson Fire weeks before we were even scheduled to stay there. We really appreciated him keeping us up to date with even weather reports for the days of our stay and suggestions for things to do around. Definitely a place I would suggest to friends!

    Eva2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin just outside Yosemite Park border. A-frame cabin had a nice lofted bedroom upstairs.

  • David’s place is amazing. First, David responds quickly and is readily available. Second, his place was clean, comfortable, cozy and extremely relaxing. And third there was nothing lacking about the place. David thought of everything. I would highly recommend David’s cabin to anyone!!! We will definitely be back.

  • Although we are big fans of Yosemite, we stayed here because of a serious need for some quiet, relaxation and full intention of staying put. Only a 2.5 hour drive from Oakland, this was a perfect place for a 3- day weekend and an easy drive on a Friday right after work (3 hours w/ rush hour traffic). The cabin has everything you need for cooking full meals indoors or outdoors and the property has more activities than we could squeeze into a three-day trip. The deer on the lawn at dawn were an added bonus and Trish and Ken were so sweet and respectful of our privacy. Would 100% stay here again and am already suggesting it as a stay to friends with or without kids.

    Yvette2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an awesome time at the cabin with the family. The cabin was very peaceful and quiet, perfect for a little getaway. We also enjoyed having coffee on the porch, watching the deer just outside the patio. Also the cabin provided us with everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Ken & Trish for having us!

    Olga2016-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! Clean, tasteful and cozy, with everything you can imagine to need. Trish and Ken are the loveliest humans and hosts. Woke up in the morning with the sound of birds signing and water flowing. We can't wait to go back.

    Aidin2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • A truly cozy and welcoming space. We stayed when having a day at Dodge Ridge and we loved spending time in the cottage and surrounding space. Super close to a grocery store and a quick trip to the snow. Ken & Trish were so wonderful as well! We would love to come back!

    Jessica2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is even better than the pictures show. What a lovely setting in the woods by the river, and the cabin is super cozy. Loved the unique layout of the upstairs bedrooms. Would absolutely stay here again!

  • Ken and Trish were great hosts. They answered all our questions and made sure we had a relaxing and private getaway. Would stay there again, but keep in mind that it is minimum 2hr drive to Yosemite valley from the cottage.

  • Robert was a great host, very communicative and friendly. The house was perfect for our family. Enough space for everyone and the kids had a fun time with the big screen TV (we don't have one.) The area is really nice and we plan to come back to take advantage of everything PML has to offer during the summer. It is close to the market and everyone we came across were really friendly.

    Maceo2017-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's place was comfortable and had everything we needed. Will be staying here next time I go to that area. Home was close enough to the park and necessities. And other attractions in the area as well.

    Donna2017-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place was very clean, spacious and close enough proximity to Yosemite National Park. Our host provivided excellent check-in instructions and was very responsive during our stay.

    PATRICIA2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Robert's place is the kind of house you can feel at home. Veeery comfy, very clean, you can find everything you need, and it's only one hour driving far from Yosemite national park. The host is also very helpful, anytime, very good communication. I definitely recommend this airbnb.

    Charlène2017-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing and comfortable holiday based at Robert's Groveland house. From the moment you walk in through the front door you feel at home in this inviting, neat and very clean house. Robert ensured everything was welcoming and easy throughout the booking process and our stay. There were no dramas or issues and the place really worked well for us (family with small toddler). Our trips into Yosemite NP and to the PML lake resort and Grill were all convenient from this house and the Groveland main street was nice to visit for lunches, the kids park and the little Museum. Thanks for opening up your home to us.

Enjoy a comfortable, eco-friendly trailer camping experience just 30 min outside Yosemite. The Chick Inn trailer has all the basic amenities to provide an outdoorsy experience without sleeping on the ground. Outdoor shower and composting toilet with a view, keeps you clean and in touch with nature, while the trailer provides cooking/sleeping options for ultimate convenience. All in the mountain with miles of trails and rivers to explore nearby. Stay here and avoid the fees of Pine Mountain Lake.
The quaint vintage trailer provides a small double bed, table, stove/oven, sink, and a "pee-only" toilet. There is a fan for hot days and heater and blankets for cold nights. This is not an 'RV' but a small (16ft) vintage trailer. It provides all the basic amenities but not indoor space for stretching out. Outdoor shower and composting toilet (poo only) for all your cleaning needs. Patio, reclining chairs, and hammock for your relaxation needs after a long day of hiking/exploring Yosemite. This eco-friendly trailer setup is powered by solar panels and recycles all shower and sink water through a greywater system (landscape irrigation). Non-toxic cleaning products are used for all cleaning and laundry purposes.
Quiet neighborhood only 1 mile from town, but not ideal to walk to. Neighbors enjoy the serenity of the mountains so please be respectful.

  • If you love the outdoors, want to explore a quaint town, and want the best shower of your life; this is the place for you! My fiancé and I stayed for one night but absolutely adored our stay and would love to visit once again. Before even booking the place, we reached out to ask about an earlier check in. Not only did Aimee respond extremely quickly, they were quick to accommodate our needs. We truly appreciated this gesture and quickly booked. It was easy to get there with GPS and it was a breeze to get in to the space. The inside was just as described and shown in the pictures. We explored further and found their dog, Zeus, cat, Monster, and some chickens. All were adorable and Zeus and Monster were super friendly! The decorations are very cute and we appreciated the privacy. The bathroom and shower were awesome! Super accessible and directions are listed everywhere. There was an amazing view while doing your business and our morning shower was everything!! Cannot express how awesome it was. We chatted with one of the hosts (didn’t catch his name) and that was the only interaction we had. Everything was very nice and we had a few surprises with the hammock and that amazing shower! This is perfect for a romantic couples weekend getaway. My fiancé and I had a blast and enjoyed the great outdoors to the fullest. The little town was also great; definitely check it out. Overall, I would definitely recommend. This was a wonderful experience (:

  • AImee's place is a perfect spot for people wanting a cheaper night with lots of charm. The caravan is charming and the attention to detail that has gone into the place makes it a lovely place to stop at. I particularly loved the outside shower and the terrace at the back of the caravan. it is, as she says in her notes for the listing, a camping experience so wouldn't recommend to people who don't like it cosy. And in summer it is pretty hot in there! Still, it was very memorable and I would definitely think about doing it again.

    Lily2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee's place was great. Clean and beautiful environment. Everything was acurate as described. There were some freshly grown tomatoes and peppers also eggs from their own hens. We liked the cozy interior and the surroundings were beautiful. Fewings I would like to mention, there is no door at the outside showers and toilet. The curtains oftens flys and your privacy is gone. Their house is just behind the shower and toilet. Though there's no one around ( we saw the host on first morning only) yet we felt little awkward while using the toilet and shower. I would say the stay was pretty expensive. We paid $ 286 for two nights ( including everything) just for living in a RV. The bed is twin. Could be uncomfortable for two adults.Other than pricing everything is fine. This place is great for any nature loving people.

Welcome to a primitive way of vacationing on a 30 acre lot near Yosemite Park on hwy 120, Big Oak Flat gate. We offer a tent in summer, but transition to a cabin after summer. We are surrounded w/ trees and wildlife in a small, rural town where all services like market, pizza parlor, hardware store, close early by 5:45 PM, so come prepared and have a good time. Add $ 10 per day for 2 people, if you want breakfast at the Yosemite Paradise Inn, where we are located, where your plumbing needs.
This camping spot is right near by the creek, surrounded w/ trees and nature like birds, and squirrels. We are OFF from the main road, so sounds of cars should not bother you, but because it's near by the creek, occasional sounds of frogs or crickets can be an issue to you.
Our neighborhood is unique in a sense that it is a historic old gold mining town best preserve on hwy 49 in Coulterville junction w/ Hwy 132, continuing on J132 or known as John Muir Hwy to Yosemite. We are in a friendly rural community w/ rolling hills and majestic trees, yet also have basic services like market and deli, gas hardware, churches, school, library, etc.

  • Luckiley we have received a little cabin instead of a tent. The Cabin was great and the host family was welcoming and very nice. We highly recommend to stay for breakfast. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay!

    Lucia2018-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, they even let us stay in a heated cabin. The two bathrooms for all guests worked out fine and other guests were quick with their bathroom time. I accidentally left an important item of mine at the air bnb and the host offered to mail it back to me in Oklahoma. The hospitality and courtesy of this air bnb hosts goes above and beyond! ALSO their breakfast options are quite versatile. Even as a vegan, I could still fill myself up each morning with their little cozy breakfast nook.

Spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable home. Large first floor living space with separate entrance and beautiful private patio with lawn, trees, sunrise and sunset views. Comfortable beds, full kitchen, laundry & large living room in 1,200 SF completely sealed off from the main home. Great place for couples, families, solo adventurers and business travelers. Near Yosemite, Wineries, Hiking, Skiing, Snow play, State Parks, Lakes & Caverns. Extended stay available. 10 minutes to downtown Sonora.
A note about the beds - The queen and twin beds have Memory Foam Toppers on them and are very comfortable. The twins are full twin size, not youth size. The extra blow up bed is a nice AeroBed that is 17" high. It has a built-in one-touch comfort pump that lets you easily inflate and adjust the firmness as needed. It is available upon request. From here we are minutes to Sonora, Columbia State Historical Park and Black Oak Casino. You can begin your winery tour not far from here and travel throughout the Mother Lode. Other excellent destinations are Yosemite National Park, Twain Harte, Pinecrest Lake, Dodge Ridge Ski Area, Long Barn Ice Skating Rink, Mercer & Moaning Caverns, Calaveras Big Trees and the Tuolumne grove of Giant Sequoias. There are many hiking trails throughout the Mother Lode. We have maps and info on the area.
All the homes in this area are on five or more acres. The views are beautiful and not hampered by other houses. You can see the sun rise and sun set from the apartment you will be staying in.
  • We enjoyed this comfortable 2 bedroom suite. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable. The location and the scenery are quite beautiful . Would definitely recommend for a couple, small family or friends. Master bedroom is spacious and the mattress very comfy. The 2nd bedroom is for 2 single people to share or for kids. Nice sitting on the porch in the afternoon watching birds and butterflies.

  • The best AirBnB reservation so far. The place was sparkling clean and had way more amenities than I even have at home. The location is very private and you can enjoy nature at its best; we even saw a deer in their front lawn area one evening. It was quiet and super homey. For those traveling with small children, the place was perfect, kind of baby-proofed and they have plenty of toys.

  • My partner and I had a great stay at Bill & Cathy's place. It was exactly as described. The location was a bit off the beaten path (but easy access to nearby stores) and very quiet and serene in a beautiful area. The place itself was clean and well organized with everything we needed in the kitchen. All instructions were clearly provided and it was clear that they were experienced hosts! They were also extremely attentive and responsive to our messages, even turning on the AC prior to us arriving because it was expected to be extra hot that day. We would love to stay here again if we're visiting the area and would absolutely recommend it!

  • Bill and Cathy are wonderfully kind people with a beautiful home. They made our stay with them really special, helping with things that we had forgotten for our little kids, and helping them feel welcome and excited about staying there. We had a terrific time and plan to repeat!

  • The place feels secluded but is actually only about 20 Minutes from everything in Sonora. You won't regret staying!

Our goal provide travelers a clean, comfortable retreat among pines and Black Oaks of the Sierras, our mountain home the perfect vacation place any time of year. Located in Tuolumne CA. Minutes from Black Oak Casino historical gold rush towns of Sonora, Jamestown, Columbia, Twain Harte, Pinecrest and Dodge Ridge Ski skiing all a short drive away

Dawn's Cottage is a lovely, 70 year-old two bedroom cottage in rural Greeley Hill, California, in the mountains. We are near Yosemite National Park, and in the middle of Gold Rush country. The elevation is just right, and the population is friendly!
This lovely, 750 square foot rustic cottage in rural Greeley Hill is just 25 miles from Yosemite National Park. You'll love the country atmosphere both inside and out. The two bedroom house features knotty pine walls throughout its interior and a full kitchen, while the view from the front porch looks over Bean Creek Preserve, the largest pristine meadow in Mariposa County. You're surrounded by lofty pines and black oaks and the stars at night show an array of dazzling lights unequalled at lower elevations. You never share the cottage with anyone else; your hosts live in their own house right next door. You can get away from it all or fill your days with activities. Yosemite, one of the world's most magnificent destinations, is close enough for fun-filled day trips. Your hosts are more than happy to share their extensive knowledge of the park, its amenities and its trails A famous local swimming hole, Rainbow pools, 14 miles away, features a waterfall: while 7 miles down the hill in Coulterville is a municipal pool (open summer only) just right for family activities. You can also go rafting through the famous Class 4+ rapids on the Tuolumne River. Four different companies offer these trips; ARTA, OARS, All-Outdoors and Sierra Mac all have websites, you must reserve space on their rafts ahead of time. This is Gold Country with its rich history; you might want to try your luck at gold panning. Along Maxwell Creek in Coulterville is a good spot. Or you may visit Sonora, the Queen of the Southern Mines, 34 miles away. Bear Valley, the sleepy former home of John C. Fremont, is 22 miles the other way on the road to Mariposa, the capital of our county. We are just off Highway 132, the Historic John Muir Trail. There are many cafes and restaurants in the adjacent communities of Groveland and Coulterville. Or, if you want to dine in, full service grocery shopping is just a mile away. Please note that the local grocery market closes at 7 pm in the summer and 6 pm in the winter. The kitchen has all the utensils, pots and pans, bowls and china you could need, along with a stove/oven and11 cubic foot refrigerator. We will be glad to provide you with fresh-ground Peet’s coffee for you to brew in the provided coffee press. Your hosts are both artists; Jim is a retired art professor and Dawn is an artist and published poet. Artwork abounds in the cottage and around the grounds. The 5 acre property features nearly 3 acres of woods to stroll and admire the views. Or break out your paints and sketch the scenery. At night you can admire the array of stars. There are no street lights in Greeley Hill to take away from the celestial display. Have you ever been chased by a moon shadow? Only by getting away from the lights of the city can you appreciate the splendor of a moonlit night! Back inside, you may watch movies or videos about Yosemite's attractions, connect to the internet via wi-fi or just stretch out on the master bedroom's queen size bed. The second bedroom features a double bed-sized futon, while two folding single futons are just right for children. All linens and blankets are provided, along with bath towels. There is no telephone service to the cottage, insuring a peaceful atmosphere (you may use our land line for emergencies). Most cell phones don't work in Greeley Hill, Verizon seems the only supplier that has service in a few spots. You can, indeed, get away from it all. Please keep in mind that the cottage is 70 years old, and some of the infrastructure is 70 years old, too. Electricity and plumbing have been upgraded and have passed a county safety inspection. The bathtub is always a problem; you may notice some staining. Rest assured we have done our best to eradicate stains. Our plumber says the only way to replace the bathtub is to take the old one out through the exterior wall, a major project. Bring your family; the cottage can accommodate up to 6 people if at least 2 of them are children. Our daily rate includes all local taxes.
Greeley Hill is a wonderful, rural area with meadows and pine/cedar/oak forest. There are many walking trails in the national forest that lies immediately adjacent to private land. (The nearest hiking trail to our property is the Ponderosa Trail, several miles from us by car.)The people here are very friendly and helpful, always willing to talk about the area. Greeley Hill now has a pizza parlor, Bambino's Pizza, just 3/4 mile from our place!! Groveland, 14 miles away, is home of the world famous Iron Door Saloon, where locals and tourists meet for a good time. The Iron Door also features meals either in the bar or next door in the restaurant. It's open every day until 10 pm, later on weekends. Groveland also has many restaurants from fast food to California Cuisine dining. We are located on the historic John Muir Trail, the road he took to Yosemite. Did you know Muir herded sheep through Greeley Hill on his way to the high country? Coulterville, 7 miles down the hill from us, is home of the John Muir Geotourism Center and the Northern Mariposa County Historical Center.

  • My mom, husband, baby and I had a lovely stay. Nice option if you're going to stay outside of the park. Dawn and Jim were very helpful with directions, quick to respond to inquiries, brought us the local newspaper and provided coffee and tea in the kitchen. Cozy and quaint cottage with great hosts.

    Sarah2013-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn and Jim were great. Check in was a simple process and everything in the cabin was thoughtfully labeled making it easy to find things. Clean towels were also provided. The place is much bigger than the pictures show. There are two bedrooms, a living area, a porch, and a kitchen with a mini-fridge. A five minute drive away is a full-sized grocery store with an excellent deli. Pick up one of their sandwiches before heading to Yosemite. The Yosemite is about 45 minutes away and it is about 90 minutes to the Valley Floor. The location of the cabin is closest to the park's west entrance, making everything in the park very accessible since most roads start on this side of the park. The price point makes up for the drive time. A two bedroom place in Yosemite would be 4 times as much. I would recommend staying here!

    John2013-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I stayed here for a weekend in Yosemite! Absolutely amazing stay. Jim and Dawn are energetic and great people to talk to, and their cottage is exactly what you desire staying in the mountains. There are wonderful books and artwork all throughout the cottage, and the best stargazing I've ever experienced right in the yard! I suggest bringing food or getting there before the local grocery store closes (5 or 6 I can't remember).. About half an hours drive for any restaurants.. About 45 minutes to Yosemite Valley!

Set in a converted 1800s stagecoach stop on a 165-acre ranch, this rustic lodge is just off Highway 120, 5.3 miles from Stanislaus National Forest: Rim of the World Vista, and 6.9 miles from the town of Groveland. Cozy Private room known as " The Ponderosa Room" with 2 Double bed with private bathroom and deck access with beautiful view of the ranch.

  • The place was exactly as described. It's very isolated from other places which is very appealing to me, as we were doing a weekend trip to Yosemite and it was also close to the west entrance. We checked in late after a long days hike and the place was very accommodating for that too. I would highly recommend the place as an alternative to staying in Groveland .

  • This house was very nice and clean, accurate posting everything was as expected. This house is about a 10 min drive into the gated community and took us about an hour and a half to get to Yosemite. We enjoyed our stay here but just wish it was a bit closer to Yosemite.

  • Aimee was an excellent host! When we showed up, the house was very clean and she had even started a fire in the wood burning stove so the house would be warm for us when we arrived. We had a ball exploring Yosemite and Aimee’s house was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of hiking. We will definitely be back.

    Elizabeth2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Aimee was a great host. Sent me all the info I needed immediately after confirming my reservation. Replies were fast. House was clean and comfortable. Neighborhood is quiet and secure. Walls are a bit thin, could hear everything from the room above. Amazing value. Location is perfect for anyone heading into Yosemite along 120. It’s 45 minutes to the park entrance and took me 90 total to get from the house to the trail head parking lot.

  • Great location to access Yosemite!

    Stephen W2018-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant stay here, a perfect place place to come back and relax after day-long Yosemite visits! Small, but beautifully decorated rooms with big hall/kitchen, and a cleanly maintained restroom. Calm and serene locality, specially loved the big patio that is perfect for a nice coffee time in the mornings. Aimee is very responsive, check-in/check-out was smooth. Only minor issue we had was the wifi wasn't working even with the correct password. But we did not have much time anyway for browsing after our long Yosemite trips, so we did not bother debugging much. Overall we had a memorable experience and would love to be back next time too!

    Sriharsha2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful house! In a large gated community, it was a real pleasure for us to stay here whilst visiting Yosemite valley. We really enjoyed spending an evening downstairs with the fire and Netflix going, great amenities including laundry. Would highly recommend!

  • We really like Pine Mountain Community, it is big and relax. Aimee's house is very good, warm, clean, comfortable. We got to know the other friendly renters, we shared our travel experience. This is a good season to visit Yosemite National Park, still can see some snow, water falls are very big, weather is woundful.

  • It was such a great stay. The place was very clean, super cozy and warm, which couldnt be better after a long hours of hike. We checked in pretty late and was unable to communicate until very late, but Gerald was very flexible and helpful, very professional in helping us to check in. The bathroom was in the bedroom we stayed in, which was very convenient. The kitchen was not for our use as it was already expected as described on the listing, so we brought some microwavable foods and had a great stay. They were very flexible in check-out time, and also the employees were very professional and helpful, keeping the place safe and clean. We will definitely come back again!

  • Location was great! The set up is like shared cabin in the woods, housekeeping is good and helpful, located right on the way to yosemite and reasonably priced. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again!

  • This was an interesting place ... a simple ranch house with a couple of rooms -- beautiful pastoral view; golden fields and close to Hwy 120. Not fancy, very basic amenities but good for one night.

  • We originally tried to book at a hotel/ motel nearby Yosemite, but everything was fully booked/ overpriced. We stumbled across this amazing find on AirBnb and I highly recommend this spot. Our stay with Garland/Luis went by smoothly and so did the rest of our trip. Responses were quick leading up to the trip. Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind. Thank you!
