“Check with them to see if they are having a BBQ or live music. Even if they're not, they have long-roped swings in the trees and a great music system outdoors. You can also walk through their extensive orchards. ”

“Judd Falls Trail is a 2.2 mile (or as short as .5 mile out and back if you park all the way at the top of the fire road) moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Crested Butte, Colorado that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from June until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.”

“Ute Trail and Aspen Mountain is a hard hike. It's approximately 1.2 miles to the Scenic overlook and its about 2 more miles up Aspen mountain. The whole hike can take anywhere depending on your skill level from 1.30-3.5 hours to the top of Aspen mountain. There is blue grass music on Sundays and YOU CAN RIDE THE GONDOLA DOWN! ”

“Inter-Laken is a closely held local's favorite, just 17 miles north of Buena Vista. The easy 2.5 mile hike in along the west side of Twin Lakes to the historic resort from the 1800's is amazing! Hiking in the summer and snow-shoeing in the winter you can take a picnic lunch and enjoy some of the most stunning scenery Colorado has to offer. The buildings are being renovated and you can now enjoy walking through the Dexter Cabin. Sign the guestbook and close the door behind you! But shhhh! Don't tell TOO many people about it!”
