“West Rock State Park is large with some gorgeous trails to the top and along the Ridge that will keep you exploring for years! It is a Hot Spot for birds as they breed here and to pairs of Peregrine Falcons call it home year round. Ravens nest here as well as numerous other birds, so it is pristine habitat, with Wintergreen lake an easy flat hike and views fro the South end parking lot on a clear day can go clear across to Long Island, NY. ON weekends in the summer you can drive up. The REGICIDES TRAIL to the North takes you to the Historic 3 Judges Cave, where you can see the place where the 3 Judges, Whalley, Goffe and Dixwell hid after they fled from England. Google it!”

“Okay, it's a coffee shop AND a video store. Yes. Videos. With the most knowledgeable staff you can imagine. Coffee is good and pastries/bagels/square donuts while they last. 2 blocks from here. A favorite neighborhood hangout for all ages. They also serve wine and beer in the evenings and often have bands, music groups, or movie screenings. ”
