“This is a great spot for a wonderful view of the gorge. You can also walk along the gorge (about a mile) and get down to the river. Grab the picnic basket, pack a lunch and enjoy the afternoon at the gorge.”

Science Museum
“One of my favorite places to take my older kids when they were younger, the Montshire Museum in Norwich, NH is just across the river from Hanover. Many hand's on activities... and opportunities to play and learn. There are so many things to do inside, and trails and water playing outside in the warmer months. ”

“Fueled by the rushing Ottauquechee, our turbine-powered glassblowing studio is the place to watch artisans trained in Simon’s techniques create functional works of art. Our award-winning farm-to-table restaurant also overlooks the river, and our bar is a sweet place for a sip and a snack. ”

“Elixir is my favorite restaurant in White River Junction. The food and service are great. The owner knows how to host, and the bar is convivial. It's tucked away in the slightly industrial part of the village and was established just before the town transformed into a Bohemian mecca. Definitely make reservations. $$$”

“Jasper Murdock’s Alehouse is a restaurant and pub located in the Norwich Inn on Main Street next to Dan and Whit’s. It features one restaurant menu, whether you are dining in the Pub, Outdoor Patio, Dining Room or Terrace. The menu offers Pub favorites along with more substantial entrees. The restaurant and brewery offer seating on a “first come, first served” basis in the Pub/Patio. The Vermont craft beer is pumped underground and across a 100 foot distance from the Brewery cellar to the Pub at the Inn, where they rotate 8 different beers, plus one cask ale. They also offer Guest Taps, which will usually feature beers from other popular Vermont breweries. ”
