A small, simple, quaint place, located just a few miles outside of town with a country feel, near a neighborhood, close to our rock climbing gym, local health food store, coffee shop, restaurants, grocery and more. A walk through the field and woods to the river is a great way to start or end your day. If you come during growing season, you can enjoy the gardens and birds that frequently visit. Fall and winters are made cozy with a fully stocked tea drawer and infrared heaters in each room.
This cabin is a work in progress. There are little quirks, so be sure to look at all of the pictures, and read the descriptions, so you know what amenities are available. In summary: the kitchen has only a two burner, table top, stove and toaster oven for cooking, and a french press for coffee. These two things are important for people to know before coming! The bathroom and shower are tiny (pictures should give you a clear idea). It's a small, little cabin, just suited for a cozy get away for two.
The cabin overlooks a spring fed pond, creek and old barn. Beyond that, and a short walk through the field, is the James River. You are welcome to wander down to sit on the banks, enjoy the trees and even jump in if the water is high enough. We also have an old train depot down the road that was built in the 1800s. It is now a cute country store with a little lunch cafe and post office.
  • Sadly, Cina was sick when we visited so we didn't get to know her in-person, but she was super helpful and responsive via text all weekend. The cabin was small and charming, exactly what we had hoped for! The land where the cabin is located was a beautiful place to walk around. We had a great time and Cina gave us lots of great suggestions for places to go and things to do in Springfield.

    Kate2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cina and I felt like we got to know each other through our many texts; she greeted me with a hug! She was a gracious host and checked in on us multiple times to see if there was anything we needed. She also came over to show me how to use her coffee press. Her cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our only regret was that we weren't able to explore the land and creek since we were too busy helping with our new granddaughter and looking for a new home.

    Deborah2016-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Cina was great. She setup everything for us and had the cabin clean and orderly. The bed was super cozy which was needed after a 9-hour road trip. Dog-friendly was as huge plus. Many interesting books and great teas to choose from. Wish we could've spent more time in Springfield as it's seems there was interesting places to go to.

    Chad2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Cina was a super host. Very kind and very prompt responses. The cabin is simplistic living at its best. Everything you need, nothing you don't. The country vibes are so serene and peaceful.

    Dan2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place to stop during our cross country move. I could have stayed here for an entire WEEK! We did a little exploring around the cabin/property in the evening and had a cozy meal in the evening. Bed is super, super comfortable which was so nice after a 10-hour drive! Thanks again for being such an awesome host, Cina! If we're ever in the area we'll absolutely stay here again.

    Kristen2016-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Cina is the best host EVER. She greeted us & told us some of the history of the place. My son found her to be so interesting because they share the passion of photography. She has some of the most interesting and fun finds from all over the world for display. It makes you feel like you are actually somewhere far away. You can relax and feel far away from all worries. Love her spirit and how welcoming she is. I plan on visiting as often as possible. can't wait to visit in the fall and walk to the river. Everything is perfect! It was just what I needed. Nice to have French press coffee from Nepal on the front porch & smelling fresh lavender. It is just a wonderful place inside and out! Thank you Cina for making this such a wonderful experience. We adore you!

    Beth2015-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had such a great stay at Cina's cabin! The home was cozy and quiet, and perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The best part was its proximity to the river - me and my dog had such a great afternoon swimming and wandering. Cina was such a warm and gracious hostess - I had a stressful drive with a dog who hates long car rides, and she immediately put me (and my dog!) at ease upon arrival. She was super responsive, open, and friendly - one of my best Airbnb experiences so far. Thanks again, Cina!

    Natalie2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is so cozy, I loved it! I enjoyed walking down to the river with my dog and just lounging on the front porch. Cina was great too! I met her dad at check in, he was super friendly and shared the history of the place with me.

  • My mother and I needed a place to stay for a quick overnight in the area. Every amenity was carefully thought about and taken care of. We loved watching the wildlife from the porch as we relaxed until the fireflies came out. Comfortable, clean, and we were made to feel right at home by our hosts. Fantastic experience for this city girl!

  • Lu and Lee are wonderful. I am staying for an extended time and the cabin has been fantastic. Nice and quite. The blackberry pie was perfect and the cows are so sweet. The cabin is in a great location and the people are so friendly. Thank you so much for the great stay!

  • Great facility in a wonderful location

    Joshua2016-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Lee and Lu are the best hosts and the nicest people in the world. The cabin is cute and comfy and the location is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet getaway, but close enough to attractions to add variety.

    Stef2017-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lu and Lee are great host. Very friendly and the baked goods were wonderful. A fabulous place to get "unplugged ". Really firm mattress. Really enjoyed watching the bird feeder.

    Barbara2017-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the trees, the wildlife, the pond and spillway, the simplicity, the sunshine, the storms, the strawberries, the reminder that we truly need so very little in life, and the beauty of living somewhere where people still wave when they pass on the road.

    Mary2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had the best time at the cabin! I went for a personal retreat to do some writing and get some space. The area is beautiful, Lee and Lu are super nice and the cabin had absolutely everything I needed in it - the value of what they are offering is amazing, about half the cost of everything I was looking at. Can't wait to visit again!

We treat guests to a wonderful, relaxing stay in the country at Hope Springs Farm. With 175 acres to explore, gorgeous views, in house spa treatments for 4 or more guests, and many local attractions to visit, you will love our quiet country cottage.
Our cottage is located on a quiet country road, in the middle of our 175 acre farm. It's surrounded by creeks and beautiful scenery. Inside, you'll find a relaxing, modern farmhouse atmosphere, without any distractions. Located in a secluded area, please keep in mind cell phone service is limited and we do not provide Wi-Fi, allowing you and your guests a screen-free, quiet retreat!
We are off a quiet dirt road about 7.5 miles from Hartville and 25 miles from Marshfield.
  • Perfect winter girls get-a-way. Full kitchen, three rooms, sleeps 6 comfortably. The bathroom is the best part! HUGE clawfoot tub, and pretty land to walk around. The property is really close to Bakers Creek Seed Company, which is a must see. One of us had to check work email and Lauren was kind enough to bring a router down for internet. The house is also part of an awesome wedding venue you can check out while your there.

    Alyssa2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great family trip to Hope Springs Farm, everything was as pictured and described, which was awesome. The house was wonderful and worked well for a baby and a toddler! We had fun exploring the property and just relaxing. We did a lot of cooking while there as well and had everything we needed in the little kitchen. Lauren's communication was great every step of the way, she responded quickly to every question I had. We'd love to go back!

    Colleen2017-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Excellent value. If you want to unplug and relax, this is the place to do it. Full kitchen, comfortable beds, excellent shower and bath. The house is surrounded by pastures. At night, sit out on the deck and look at stars and fireflies, listen to the frogs, crickets, owls and whip-poor-wills. Great spot for birding. I even was lucky enough to see the cutest Bob-White quail family! And an epic aerial battle between a red tailed hawk and two swifts. The house was spotlessly clean. I only stayed for two nights, but wish I could stay longer. It's close enough to Hartville where there is a grocery store, gas station and cafe with wifi, but isolated and removed enough to have privacy and solitude. Keep in mind, this place is RURAL, so if you have a problem with bees or cows or gravel roads or normal country surroundings, this won't be for you. But if you're ok with a country setting, this place is very nice.

    Davida2016-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • We greatly enjoyed our stay at Lauren's place while traveling to Mansfield, Missouri to tour the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum / homes. The renovated farmhouse is beautifully decorated, with a mix of modern and antique accents. The most underrated attraction is the night sky - the stars are bold and beautiful in the Ozarks, and the view alone is worth the trip.

    Laura2016-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it! Beautiful calm peaceful… We enjoyed ourselves very much. Cute, simple decor. Loved walking along the creek. No Wi-Fi, which was a plus for the adults, not so much for the teenagers! : )

    Kirsten2017-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice experience. The house is in a beautiful location and very quiet. When we arrived the house was warm and very clean. Would stay again and recommend to others. Thank you for a nice, relaxing place to stay, Lauren!

    Trevor2016-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The quintessential farm home! It was lovely and we wished we could've spent more time hanging out on the farm land- the dogs loved romping around on the beautiful grounds- and I loved the timeless antique pieces in the home! Since we were getting in late, Lauren provided step by step instructions which were very much appreciated!!!

    shannon2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience here. The house is comfortable and decorated so nicely in a cute country theme making it very inviting. It is also well supplied with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen utensils, towels, soaps, etc. Lauren even left DVDs for us to watch. The farm is wonderful. Our kids enjoyed playing in the barn and kids play area, and exploring the creek, springs, and bluffs. We loved it and the kids are asking if we can go back again someday!

Mountain Grove, MO is about 1 hour east of Springfield, MO in the middle of the Ozarks. This home located just outside of town, giving it a 'country' feel without feeling isolated. Ample parking and turn around for both business or recreational travelers who may have trailers, RV's, etc. We are surrounded by many places to visit, Laura Ingllas Wilder Historical Home is just 15 minuets away. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Common areas, kitchen, family room, dining, bathrooms and laundry room, are downstairs, private bedrooms and private bathrooms are upstairs.
  • Jennifer is a gracious hostess. She was very helpful in every way. We had a most comfortable stay.

    Susan 2017-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and her husband offer a comfortable, welcoming, "at home" place to stay. Not a place for those who want the latest updates, but a place with a very comfortable bed and friendly hosts. They were so accommodating to us as a couple on a cross-country bicycle ride--access to laundry facilities and supplies, safe location for our bicycles, breakfast supplies, hot coffee & iced tea, and good visits.

    CoraJean2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer was right there to greet us at the door. It was like visiting family. Jennifer showed us the house and invited to use all the rooms, kitchen and the den with the TV. She made us some hot tea and chatted over dinner. She then surprised us with a home made breakfast in the morning. We will fondly think of her over the holidays and will definitely return as we travel in that direction again.

    Elena2016-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer and her husband were very kind. The rooms were perfect. We would definitely stay again.

The hand built cabin is located on our Homestead. It is extremely rustic and has limited facilities. It is good for people who want to experience living simply and for those who want to get away from conventionality.
  • I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jamie and Amos and the amount of love they have brought to the ozarks. The entire property truly is beautiful and the community they have built is even better. There are two yurts, a deck (great for yoga - a practice in sure Jamie would be willing to share with you), an awesome outdoor kitchen, garden, chickens, pond, creek, and they are working on completing a green house! The hills and stars stretch as far as the eyes can see. I will be back over the years and can't wait to see how this homestead continues to grow.

    Jamie2016-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Primitive dwelling on camp site; I just wish there was a comfortable place to sit or a hammock or something? We didn't end up hiking because the grass was high and we didn't want chiggers/tics. Neat campsite though, and cool house. Bed is not comfortable though; it's really like sleeping on the ground. Bring bug spray!

The first floor features the kitchen with bar setting for 4 around the island in the center. Also the shower is located on this floor, with plenty of hot water. European-open style with a drain into the floor. Beyond the sweet structure, the real crown jewels of this listing is the abundant natural beauty and earthen-works on the land. In front of the house, two ponds with whimsical shapes, and a food forest of berries growing up arches and rows and rows of herbs. More fruit trees and plants being added continuously, something is always in bloom to savor the sweetness of the earth. Behind the house, you can walk up the hill and witness earthen mounds, laden with berries and more edibles to come, shady groves, and 3 large ponds. The hill is steep and it is asked that you do not attempt to drive all the way up the hill to the top when the ground is wet, so please be careful and aware of that. At the top of the hill is a one acre cleared space for complete privacy with many fun features to enjoy. A shaman domed structure made from roots provides a shady earthy meditation sanctuary & a large fire with some fire wood for a warm bonding fire time. A great place for laying out and bathing with the sun. Feel free to take a dip in the circular pond. There are 3 ponds throughout the property. A fully finished yoga studio offers polished wood floors. Use our mats or bring your own. Candles and incense will be available. I offer my own line of high end incense that will be available for sale and may handmade native art pieces (just message me or leave a donation in the donation jar inside the yoga studio) There is a place where a hammock can be set up if you wish to bring your own. A state-of-the-art composting toilet house has been recently added. This waste composting technique utilizes the force of elevation in order to speed up the process of decomposition, so that the waste can be used to fertilize the land. It is a seated squatting style seat and a good amount of stairs leading up to the structure, so please keep in mind that it is not accommodating to those with specific needs.
Quiet, deeply rural area 3 miles outside of Ava (gravel road). Amazing neighbors across the road. Ava has an awesome farmers market every Saturday morning and a Health Food Store on the Square. Yoga studio and so much more coming to town soon, too! There is lots to do in the mystical Ozarks: hiking at Glade Top and many other places, rock climbing, caving, Kayaking to name a few.

  • The place was nice. The hosts were friendly. I would not recommend the Stallion room as it had no windows. And honestly, I'll just drive to Springfield next time. Other than a decent Mexican restaurant, the town has nothing but a few fast food restaurants and a lot of empty buildings. The prettiest thing in town is the view from the cemetery on the hill.

  • If you find yourself needing to stay in or near Ava, MO, this is the place! Megan's room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed is a trundle which sleeps two and both mattresses were extremely comfortable. The room is small but has enough space for the essentials, and the attached bathroom was great! We stayed here while visiting Baker Creek Farms which was about 25 minutes north in Mansfield, MO. There is a great diner a block down the street, Haros Brothers, where we had breakfast. Megan made the whole experience quick and easy. Can't ask for anything more in a host and place to stay!

  • I really enjoyed my stay at The Well. The room is very comfortable and thoughtfully appointed, even including a little dorm fridge and a Keurig coffee maker (with organic coffee!). The bed is very comfortable! Megan was very kind and accommodating as regards my changing travel times, very responsive and easy to communicate with. I was in the Ozarks for a workshop about 30 minutes away, and The Well, and the town of Ava, were the perfect oasis for my evenings and early mornings. Thanks Megan!

The Well offers yoga, steam room, organic coffee, and a clean/comfortable sleep space. You can even pop into the store for some of the finest brands of yoga gear and clothes. It brings a bit of city comfort to this tiny town. Across the way is a natural market with anything you might need on your stay. Megan is a warm and kind host and went out of her way to make sure we were having a good experience. We would definitely visit again and recommend the space to anyone visiting Ava.

Luxurious amenities, sleep number beds, succulent breakfast and beautifully appointed new B & B awaits you. Antiquities with the conveniences of today in a Victorian 115 year old home. Located on the famous Route 66 and not far from Branson.
During your stay in Mary’s Room, take in the opulence all around you accompanied with all the modern conveniences of today. This spacious room comes complete with a queen size dual sleep number bed with memory foam topper, large screen LED Smart TV, private sink vanity, and plush designer robes. Take a bubble bath in the antique soaking clawfoot tub. Sit out under the pergola reading your newspaper. Have a cup of coffee while rocking away your worries on the front porch. Have a leisurely breakfast or read a good book out in the gazebo, while enjoying the gardens all around.
This beautiful Victorian home is just down from the down square and about a mile from Hwy 44. Close to outdoor sports, entertainment in Branson and the restaurants in Springfield. Within walking distance is Hidden Waters Nature Park, home to the Callaway Cabin circa 1853. The cabin offers a glimpse of Ozarks family life in the 1800's, where Parham and Nancy Callaway raised 13 children in this 16x18 foot log structure. The park is in the heart of the city with beautiful walking trails, ponds, waterfalls, bridges, gardens, and fourteen separate springs. It has grown to almost ten acres with this year's addition of a bridge and pergola. Marshfield loves its festivals, parades and rodeos; and people come from all over the state to enjoy them. There are National and State parks close by with picnic areas, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming, and hiking trails to enjoy. For the golfing enthusiast, there is a golf course not more than a 5-minute drive from the Florence Inn. Horseback riding, hunting, zip-lining, kayaking, shopping, sightseeing, shows, amusement parks are also close by. Branson and Silver Dollar City are always a favorite place to spend the day. There’s something for everyone!
  • Corey and I had a fantastic time. Melanie and Dennis were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The room was outstanding and the breakfast was absolutely fabulous. We plan to return for our anniversary next year. We highly recommend this place.

Charming 1940's house with screened in front porch and stylish shabby decor. A short 30 minute drive from Springfield and 45 minutes from Branson. We are also located right on the Trans American Bike Route and welcome any cyclists that may need to stop over for the night! My wife and I have a small daughter and Shi Tzu named Albus who love everyone!
The house was built in the late 40's and has tons of charm. High ceilings, original hardwood floors, arched doorways, and shabby chic furnishings make this house the perfect stay! We are also located right on the Trans American Bike Route and welcome any cyclists that may need to stop over for the night! For parties of 2 or more requesting separate rooms, a twin room is available for an extra fee.
Our neighborhood is nice, we are located along the main stretch through town so it gets busy at times, but nonetheless still a nice place to live. We are minutes away from restaurants, gas stations, Wal-Mart and Walgreens.

Our home consists of 4 bedrooms for the B&B all located on the main floor, with each bedroom accommodating 2 guests max. Each bedroom is listed separately by name. Families with children (Max 2) get a 2nd room for 10$ per child if space is available. Our farm is close to Springfield and Branson, MO, and the airport, parks, the city center and nightlife. We also provide a continental style breakfast featuring cereals, fruits and homemade sweet rolls and breads.
Our log home was totally hand crafted inside and out by my husband. We are progressive Amish-Mennonites and our home has all of the modern conveniences. Families with children (max 2) get 2nd room for 10$ per child if space available. This is the Beach Room, so named because all of the furnishings and memorabilia were collected along the gulf coast of Florida and furnished our home there. This room is a cozy room with a comfortable double bed containing a memory foam mattress topper. There is a small chapel on the property for personal use whenever wanted and all are welcome to worship with us on Sunday afternoons at 1 pm, if desired. We offer our chapel to those couples desiring a country, rural place to unite in marriage. There is a fee for officiating the ceremony and submitting the legal paperwork.
We are located in the country nestled quietly on a 10 acre farm. The atmosphere is quiet, relaxing and inviting. Yet, we are only 10 miles from Rogersville, MO, 20 miles from Springfield, MO, and about 30 miles from Branson. There are many fun things to do throughout this area including shopping and after a very busy day you will enjoy coming back to the quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Wonderful place, literally off the beaten path. Loved the beach room-what I needed to get some rest. Breakfast was great each morning. Madlyn is a very attentive hostess. Very sweet couple. Place is not far from Springfield.

    Maggie2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great log cabin experience. We were the only couple staying, and had a wonderful experience having the top floor to ourselves. Warm and lovely couple!

    Brandon2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • They were so gracious to accept our last minute booking! It was a good drive on a gravel road, but Madlyn was incredibly hospitable and turned the light on to greet us right away. The house was a great story and sight in itself. I feel that it's an incredible value with such a great home cooked breakfast! I would recommend this place to anyone looking. It may be a long drive to get there, but it's 100% worth it!

    Whitney2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much to Madlyn and David for sharing their beautiful hand-crafted home with us! And thank you also for your warm and caring presence. It added immeasurably to our trip, and I hope we have the opportunity to stay there again soon! Next time I would love to spend more time around the farm and meet some of Madlyn's dairy cattle!

Welcome to Maggie's She She'd! This quaint one bedroom bungalow boasts vaulted tongue and groove ceilings in the open full kitchen/living area. There is a nice private bedroom, laundry facilities, and a welcoming covered patio overlooking a private tree covered yard. A great space to relax for a night or a week! Maggie's She She'd is not really a shed, it is a well appointed private space with all the comforts of home.
Conway is a quaint small town with a population of less than 1000. We are surrounded by farms and wooded land. You will feel safe and welcomed by the community and find that it is a typical Midwest small town with good country folks.
  • We enjoyed it very much. We had our own private place. It was very comfortable and met our needs very well. My kids loved it. They have toys for the real little ones and a place to cook if needed.

    Jonathan2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great stop if traveling, just off the highway in a very small town. There is a pizza place, and a family restaurant. Great nights sleep, hot shower and a washer /dryer if needed. Great also if you have three travelers, or kids. Kurig coffee and milk in frig. Cereal for breakfast. Large open concept living area. Maggie and husband Pete were wonderful.

    Bob2017-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! Great space and hospitality:) would visit again for sure!!!!

    Holly2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • They were very hospitable and made sure we didn’t need anything. They left list of restaurants and things to do close by. They even left us a cinnamon roll the size of my fiancées head. We would definitely stay again.

    Zac2017-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Place was awesome. Everything was spic and span. Every thing was provided. Comfortable beds and couches. We wanted for nothing. Maggie and Pete were awesome. And the price was outstanding for everything we got. Don't pass this up if you need a place for the night.

    Jeremiah2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Lots of room, very clean and very reasonably priced.

  • This place is awesome. We were on a cross country trip and after pulling a 10 hour day we decided to stop in this little town. We booked the spot in a matter of minutes. Upon arriving, Maggi was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

  • I had a great stay here. The hospitality is out of this world and the place is conveniently located. The space itself is large, clean, and welcoming. Definitely recommend.

This is a country style rancher just four miles out of Marshfield on a quiet country lane nestled about halfway between Lebanon, MO and Springfield, MO (about 25 miles either way), right off I-44. Clean, comfortable with plenty of room to relax and get away from it all. It really feels like home.
This house is a farm style rancher that has that coming home to Grandma's feel. While the house is "child friendly", it is not "child-proof". I have a pack-n-play available for a portable crib if needed.
There is one home within view of this house. Very nice, quiet young family. Other neighbors are down the lane. Lots of pasture and yard between houses. There is a pond in a quiet setting just a short walk through the pasture and a wood. Fruit trees and grapvines line the back yard.
  • Michelle is a wonder hostess, she made us comfortable right from the beginning answering all our questions via email and when she welcomed us to handover the keys. The house is very beautiful and well maintained, if you are looking for a quite time with no traffic and have a total family time then this is the place, the game room has lot of board games which my daughter loved. 10 mins from the apartment you will get lot of food options, however the kitchen is well equipped if one is planning to cook. Michelle was very kind to provide us with coffee and breakfast options. All bathrooms had fresh towels and toiletries hotel like. In short home comfort with 5 hotel cleanliness. Will definitely stay again if opportunity presents.

    Sathya2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My mom and I loved our stay! Michelle went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable! The house was beautifully decorated and very homie! A great place for a family to stay!

  • The place was wonderful! Our hosts provided above and beyond our expectations. The coffee and tea service very nice and the condition of the place was better than what we expected. We would definitely stay here again should the opportunity present itself!

The town of Lebanon a mer 12 minute drive, has many wonderful antique shops to explore and lots of restaurants as well. • This listing doesn't really convey just how idyllic an experience we had at High View Farm. The property is farmlike, but the most beautiful and gracious farm I've ever seen. The hosts are farmers, but with the capacity to cross that cultural divide as though it didn't exist. Our visit here was truly a beautiful interpretation of "sustainable agriculture" for the city person. Susan offered to prepare us dinner on our arrival, and it was sublime. She and William spent much valuable time answering our questions and showing us their plants, gardens, and animals. If we had been able to stay longer, we would have witnessed the birth of a calf. I don't know how I will be able to get back to Fordland, but I would like to spend a week there next time. I would like to mention that the home does not show as well in photos as it does in life. It is a lovingly and carefully restored ancestral farm house in Susan's family. I expected it to have, well, elements of rural life that are not our most-cherished elements (bugs, for example, skunks, and, well, old-age.). This was not the case. It was very, very clean and up-to-date; it was sort of time-capsule in the very best sense of that word. Beg Susan to show you her canning cupboard, with rows and rows of preserved fruit and vegetable, just like you read about in books. Beautiful!

    Irene2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house is on a working farm, so unique in that aspect. A real bonus was the fine breakfast and snacks for our early morning departure.

  • Awesome experience staying at this working generational farm B&B! Our gracious hosts made us feel relaxed and right at home and made our anniversary holiday so special and memorable. The food was delicious, the menagerie of farm activities and animals was interesting and fun to see and the location was ideal for sightseeing. We can't wait to come back! Don't hesitate to book this place!

  • We stayed at the White Buffalo for a total of 9 days. What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! It was calving season so it was great to get to see all the newborns out in the pasture. The caretakers were so welcoming and made you feel right at home. When we needed to stay longer than the original 3 days we had booked, the owners, Bob and Mary were more than accommodating and helpful. We would 100% stay here again, and highly recommend to anyone needing to stay near the Lebanon area.

  • First, let me just say this place is amazing! We drove in from Colorado and arrived pretty late at night. Admittedly, my wife and I were a little leery as we turned off the highway onto a dark, narrow, dirt road that seemed to disappear into the darkness outside of the radius of our headlamps. We entertained ourselves with scary (URL HIDDEN) but really all I could think about was the pot roast dinner our gracious host, Ford Martin had promised us in a phone call earlier that day. As we pulled in Ford was waiting for us on the porch. He showed us where to park and took us to the lodge to drop our bags before dinner. My wife and I were astonished by the beauty and peacefulness of this place. The meal Ford had prepared was fantastic! We came in early in the week so we had the place to ourselves. Over the course of our stay some family came for an afternoon visit. Our host had prepped the fireplace for us, all we did was light a match and enjoy each other's company! We really can't say enough about how kind and attentive these folks are. Even the ranch hands we encountered were very polite and friendly. The property is beautiful inside and out, and very well taken care of. An offering of snacks and beverages were available for us in the lodge and our host treated us to a delicious breakfast and great conversation each morning! We were really pleasantly surprised and more than enjoyed everything about our stay. We hope to have a reason to return one day. If not, maybe we'll just make one up :).

Visit us here to enjoy the farm in the master suite at Dockley Ranch. Features a private entrance and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub.
Explore 80 acres in a park like setting. Roaming chickens, goats, creeks and waterfall make this whimsical Ozarks property inspiring! We are a working ranch with goats and alpacas. We'll greet you on the main level of the log home. Your room is the main level master suite with private bath. Our home is perfect for a weekend to unplug. We have pets that live outdoors, but they are never allowed in the house. Large groups will have access to more bedrooms of the house for sleeping, including common spaces.
We are far out in the country. You will probably see very few people, but you will see tons of stars if the sky is clear!

  • Sometimes you stumble on exactly what you were looking for, & we did. Beautiful, very secluded, & off the beaten path with a very warm & gracious host family who go out of their way to share their personal oasis with you. Fantastic food, great fellowship & soul soothing moments will be waiting for you there...enjoy!

    Cheryl2017-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts made me feel very welcome. I already knew Claire, and I got to know her husband and their two daughters. Following their good directions, I found myself in a beautiful three-story log home in the middle of an Ozark farm (ranch) with their goats, chickens, and alpacas. The place is so deep in the valley that there is no cell phone reception, and the hills are too high for good satellite tv reception. I was able to enjoy the weekend without the need to keep up with email or tv. I look forward to coming back to the ranch in October and helping the hosts with their goal of hosting live bluegrass music festivals on their property. They have built a stage for the performers and the audience will be sitting in front in their lawn chairs.

  • Claire and Myke have a real gem of a place in rural Southwest Missouri. If you are looking for a remote, beautiful location to escape, enjoy nature, and unwind, then this is it. To get there, you'll travel off the beaten path down windy gravel roads to arrive at their lovely log cabin and homestead. The room is a very large, private bedroom with a couch and desk, located on the first floor at one end of the house. There is a private attached bath with double sinks, shower, and jacuzzi tub. The room has a private entrance to the outside, which leads out to a wraparound deck overlooking the forest. There is tons of privacy, yet Claire and Myke are very friendly and happy to interact if you want. The room and house was very clean, and communication, directions, and instructions were all well-organized. The house has modern conveniences (good water pressure, internet, and full kitchen), coupled with a feeling of remoteness and closeness to nature. Claire, Myke, and their family were an absolute pleasure to get to know and chat with. They were incredibly gracious in sharing their home with us, and have an interesting story to tell about moving to and living in the Ozarks. We very highly recommend a stay with them - either as a destination in itself, or as part of a weekend trip to Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds and Pioneer Village or the Laura Ingalls Wilder museum, both nearby.

  • Our stay with Claire and family was a special treat and adventure. We LOVED it. It was worth the drive in from the the main, paved roads. Lovely environment and luxurious room, really. My granddaughter got to interact with the animals which she loved. A lovely family in a gorgeous place. Very restful, too! We so enjoyed our stay and interacting with Claire and family.

    Laura2016-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • We spend a wonderful night in the Dockle Range. Claire is a very nice and interesting person, she enjoy showing us around. I truly recommend this place to anyone that want a unique night in the wood

    Marie2016-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • From the moment we pulled in the driveway I felt at home at Dockley Ranch. I was greeted immediately by Claire and her entourage of extremely loving and friendly dogs and puppies! I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Our room was spectacular and beyond worth the fee we paid to stay there. The suite is HUGE with a wrap around deck, a private exterior entrance, a jacuzzi tub. There is a full kitchen available to use too! If we would have had more time, I would have loved to cook up something delicious in the ample space of the kitchen. We didn't have much time to adventure (we were on a tight schedule) but we did trek up the hill and get a panoramic view of the beautiful 80 acre ranch before we headed out to Baker Creek.

My modern house will hopefully make your Lebanon stay feel a little less small town. Newly updated house! You have use of kitchen and living spaces; the owner will also be in the home. There is also a 40 acre park with a running trail right outside the back door.
  • Matthew was very pleasant and his house was nicely decorated. It was a good experience.

  • Matthew's place is awesome! Not too far from being able to drive around Missouri and check out different cities and sights. You will fall in love with his furniture and decor as well as his backyard. As we drove up there were even some deer crossing the road. Matt's place is super clean and has a great layout for guests. He has everything you need!

Nestled in the heart of the Ozark Hills, our stone cabin offers guests a secluded place to unwind and enjoy nature. Our cabin has running hot water, but no electricity or flushing toilet. The outhouse is a short walk away and propane lamps provide lighting. The cabin is accessible by a private, half mile gravel trail. Guests will need a four-wheel drive or high profile two-wheel drive vehicle to reach the cabin.
Cooking utensils, bedding, towels and toilet paper are all supplied. A limited amount of firewood will be provided with the option to purchase more or you may gather your own from the surrounding forest. If you are a floating enthusiast the cabin is a 45-minute drive to the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. If trout fishing is more your style, Montauk State Park is also a 45-minute drive. The City of Houston, Missouri is 10 minutes away. The town has many dining and shopping opportunities.
Our cabin offers a secluded get away in the middle of 160 acres of woodlands. Missouri wildlife will be your closest neighbor. You may encounter turkey, white tailed deer, the occasional bobcat or fox, and numerous species of song birds.
  • A great place to get a way from it all.

  • Renee was an amazing host... the experience was like out of a movie... unreal! The linens... extra clean, smelled good, and made me forget to use the ones I brought with me... the cabin as well is kept clean... coming back again..!

  • We came to this charming little cabin in the middle of the woods for our honeymoon, and we loved it! We were delighted by the cabin's rustic, simple decor. It felt very clean, and the stone walls of the cabin kept it cool in the daytime. Overall it was a perfect place to rest!

  • My wife and I really enjoyed the cabin. Cooking bacon and pork chops over the fire off their farm was awesome, worth the extra money. The outhouse, no electricity or cell service and the long winding trail may not be ideal for some but we really enjoyed getting off the grid. The gas lights and a cute shower with hot water made it easier and probably the cutest outhouse made easy to endure and exciting. The host were amazing and led us to our getaway with a fire waiting and were very helpful the whole time we were there. By far the most enjoyable camping experience ever.

  • The Stone Cabin is a great place to stay if you want to get away into the woods for a few days. You won't need many supplies beyond your food cooler and clothes. The cabin is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, a few toiletries, and sheets. Outside the cabin, there's all the firewood you could need, a charcoal barbecue grill complete with charcoal and lighter fluid, seating, and citronella candles to keep the bugs at bay. You should absolutely bring fishing poles- the pond is a few steps from the cabin and is overflowing with bass and perch- we caught a ton of large bass using spinners and minnow lures. Couldn't have asked for a better retreat!

  • ThIs secluded cabin is very well taken care of. It feels like you're taking a step back in time a bit. Comfortable and clean, the cabin is a perfect get away for couples or a small family. Highly recommended.

  • Location: You definitely need a 4x4 or car with good ground clearance to get back there, but the cabin and surrounding woods are idyllic. Also, it's not so remote you can't pop into town within 10 minute drive. The cabin is very convenient for many day trips. We took a road trip to Alley Springs our first day and ended the day at Piney River Brewery. The experience: Renee met us at the drive to her home and then led us back to the cabin. The gravel drive in front of the cabin stays fairly shady thanks to the tree canopy - even in the bright sun which makes cooking meals very comfortable. We took advantage of the offer to purchase meats from their farm to cook on the grill; it was all excellent. At night we relaxed on the bench by the pond or playing bags in the field across the stream from the gravel drive. There are many old logging roads on the property and those are nice for some shorter hikes to explore more of the land. Last, but not least - the cabin porch is the perfect perch and we enjoyed all our meals outside. Overall, it was exactly what we hoped for over the long weekend and we're already thinking about a trip back in the fall!

  • Never thought I'd say this but this was literally the coolest Airbnb I've ever stayed in. It would be such a perfect romantic getaway for a couple. Especially if you're the type that likes to camp out or rough it this place is Shangri-la. You gotta not mind being deep in the country, using an outhouse (an awesome one!) or brushing your teeth in the bath tub. I thought the propane lighting was fantastic and added so much ambiance. All the little touches are so perfect and everything is very clean and beyond cozy. You will really get a sense of seclusion here and like you're staying in a really special place. The whole spread is really great with the pond close by and outdoor fire pit area. I realllly hope I get a chance to stay here again!! Fantastic hosts too who have done a lot of interesting things with their property.

The fully furnished log cabin will sleep 5 to 6 adults comfortably with one queen and three twin beds. Additional amenities include: full refrigerator, new stove, microwave, coffee pot, washer/dryer and small TV. There is a full bathroom downstairs with shower and bath tub. The cabin is on a working ranch surrounded by woods and pastures with food plots and wildlife ponds. It is a great place for 4-wheeling. We are very near 2 rivers which are great for kayaking.
The cabin was built in 2009 with local timber. It has an open floor plan with a full bathroom. The kitchen has a new stove and full size refrigerator. The furnishings, beds, and bedding are all new. The cabin has a private drive, parking space, and a nice outdoor fire pit. It sits on a hillside surrounded by forest land. Also the cabin is a great place for a romantic getaway or a break from the fast pace of the city.
The local neighborhood includes find Norfork lake, Bull Shoals Lake, Bryant river, and Norfork river. The Glade Top Trail which is known for its fall colors is a 30 minute drive.
  • We had a wonderful weekend just 15 minutes from Rockbridge Trout Farm. The cabin has a porch and we loved the morning sounds and late night stars. Very comfortable and relaxing. We will be back soon for sure!

  • This place was awesome exactly what we needed. The host was also easy to get a hold of.

  • What a wonderful little cabin. This is about 15 minutes from Rockbridge and in my opinion a lot better than any other accommodation in the area. The cabin is quaint and has a charm to it. It is a bit hard to find, so make sure you get there when there is daylight. Either way Mike was extremely nice and great communicating with us to make sure we will be alright. You will be seeing us again! Thanks again!

    Louis2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a very rustic cute place in the woods. rough wood with country appeal. You can see through the flooring upstairs and it is challenge to get up and down the stairs. I know it cant be helped in the woods however we did have to kill a few spiders. The kitchen is great, with nice stove and fridge. Mike pulled up as we were walking around and lets us hike on the ridge of the property. The is a fire pit up the path from the cabin we enjoyed the campfire.

Minutes from Highways 44, 65 and the airport! This is a perfect spot for executive meetings or peaceful respite. An entire suite with equipped kitchen, reading nook, dining table, kitchen island, and sitting area. Beautifully furnished with a homey feel that you will find difficult to leave! Suitable for people 16 years of age and older.
We have a beautiful space located down a hallway from where the rest of the family lives. Mini fridge, full kitchen, an island with bar chairs, a table for 6, and two conversation nooks with big comfy seating and/or a couch. Two bedrooms tastefully decorated each with individual bathroom. One has full bed, the other King, which can be separated into two single beds if that works better for your situation. Pretty woodsy views from all windows.
Country- we live on several acres of land and can see neighbors, but they are o-v-e-r- t-h-e-r-e! You'll need your own hotspot for Internet use. Technology hasn't quite reached us out this way.
  • Everything was great! I got in late and Mary and Joe were there to meet me. I loved the country feel even though I got in at night, it was a very quiet place. I liked that!

    Randy2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time using Airbnb as guests and the first time for Mary as a host. I think it was a great first experience for the both of us! Mary was very accommodating and made sure that our stay was enjoyable. She provided nice little things that we would have needed, and even gave recommendations for places to eat. There was little interaction as we were out most of the day, and also the suite you get is also quiet and secluded from the rest of the house. Had zero issues. Slept very well.

    Callen2015-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the seclusion. It is so quiet and beautiful. Be sure to find time to talk to Mary. She leads a very fascinating life.

  • This place is a hidden gem just a few minutes off I-44. Very well furnished with plenty of room to sit and relax and just unwind from your travels. I would highly recommend this place for any traveler who wants to feel at home while on the road. Mary is the best and is always available if you need anything.

  • Our host was very gracious and made us feel very welcome. We appreciated her coming to meet us, asked if we needed anything and was very personable. The accommodations were great and it was an easy place to be in. We liked the outdoor patio as well as the comfy chairs in the living room. Well done!

    Terri2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was a very nice one. I only wish it could have been longer. Our gracious host made us feel very welcome and the suite was impeccably clean. There are some dogs that have access to the house and my wife is very allergic, but she didn't even suffer a sniffle. The suite was very nicely done; we had access to a kitchenette and the room and bathroom were private. All this was set in a serene and beautiful property. I wish we could have stayed longer.

    Webb2015-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ok, you could stay at the same old Hampton Inn, but why do that when a short drive through beautiful countryside will bring you to this idyllic retreat. You will essentially get an entire wing in this modern home, with quiet serene grounds surrounding you. Mary is very welcoming and went out of her way to make everything just right. The best part was having a chance to chat with her, while enjoying a glass of wine and tomatoes and cukes just picked from her garden. This is what Airbnb is all about. Go here and you will not be disappointed.
