Great vibe. Family friendly and super close to the beach. We have chosen not to have a TV but have a great view and bio fuel fireplace instead which we think is much better.
  • Had a lovely few days in the apartment, went to the beach everyday :) the apartment was perfect for the 5 of us, appreciated the bread and prosecco when we arrived! Would definitely recommend for a relaxing beach getaway, thanks Tom and Candice!

  • Lovely flat in an excellent location - perfect for the beach and cliff walks. Great coffee and really thoughtful touches with the prosecco, milk and really delicious bread .

  • Fabulous welcome, fizz, milk and treats awaiting, the apartment is cosy and it the most fantastic location.

    Kelly2016-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Candice were great with replying to any emails prior to our stay. The apartment was in a good location with parking and a nice view of the beach. The beds were really comfy and the bathroom was a great size. The phone signal in the apartment is poor but we were warned of this and the wifi was fast so it was not an issue for us. This apartment was much welcomed after a stay in a small static caravan! We would definitely stay again!

    Jasmine2016-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Big thank you to Candice and Tom. This is a fantastic flat for familles or surfers. The flat is really thoughfully kitted out with a lot of love and care- everything you need from tea towels to loo roll to washing machine liquid. Plus the most delicious granary bread and a bottle of prosecco. Lovely sheets and comfortable bed with loads of pillow meant we were all comfy and slept well. There is a handy convenience shop a minute away - plenty of gluten and dairy free options for me in there - and of course the flat overlooks the beach. Having a 3 yr old, the sandy playground right outside the flat was an absolute lifesaver! There were loads of other children in there constantly - which meant perfect entertainment for my son and a rest for me! It even has a zip wire, he loved making friends with other children in there, we used it every day. There are a couple of pubs which look nice but we enjoyed evenings in the flat - great wifi - no problem streaming netflix on ipad and mac. Mobile - I am on 3 network and I had zero mobile signal in most of cornwall! The beach is great, sandy but with large pebbles and rocks for interest, but our week was very windy so we didn't get to spend as much time on it as we'd have liked. The waves were large and had we been surfers - perfect. An excellent beach store with a very friendly lady selling everything you need is also within a few minutes walk. You are in very safe hands with these hosts - on the last day I had a mishap with the microwave and accidentally melted the cable on the cooker top. Candice was exceptionally kind and understanding about it and with a friendly 'no worries' reassured me there was no problem or dire consequence! Thanks for that! We would definately re-book, the area was full of families surfing with their kids, and if you fancy visiting the southern coast like lizard, its only a drive away- even with a crappy weather week we still had a bright and breezy break away from the city.

  • Great location, great flat! Very lovely owners and kind touch leaving bread, milk, coffee etc v much appreciated. Everything you could need is already there but the best part is that they are literally 50m to the best each in the world! Thanks very much for great communication and letting us stay. Davina xx

    Davina2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay. The location is lovely and the restaurant across the road do fantastic food and are very welcoming. We felt that it's not the most ideal accommodation for a young child. A microwave would have been helpful as we have a young baby who needs food heating up. Also a high chair would have been very useful or some kind of dinning chair where we could fix a portable high chair to. We had to feed our daughter on the floor which wasn't ideal. Great for a very short stay but no longer then a couple of nights for us. Thank you for being so prompt in your communication. We would definitely recommend to friends and family.

    Ria2017-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous apartment and great location - a stones throw from a beautiful clean sandy beach where we enjoyed watching the surfers. The flat was clean and beautifully furnished with great quirky touches. Tom and Candice are excellent hosts, we appreciated the bottle of bubbly and provisions after our joirney down, thank you! We ate at the beach cafes opposite, (cool hipster style) - the veggie breakfast was excellent. Candice, our host, went the extra mile, she found a favourite soft toy my grandson left behind and kindly posted it on the same day. A shame we only stayed one night, but we look forward to returning as soon as we can.

A cosy studio apartment 5 mins walk from the famous Fistral beach with use of communal heated swimming pools. The studio is well equipped throughout and has its own decked area with sea views over Fistral Beach. Private off road parking is provided.
This is a cosy studio apartment so the living and sleeping spaces are all in one room, with the bathroom being separate. This ground floor studio has a decked area with table and chairs at the front and views of Fistral Beach. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need for a short stay. Private off road parking is provided and use of the communal heated pool is available from April till October. We are situated on top of Cornwall's finest surfing beach offering views of Fistral beach, Newquay bay, Newquay golf course and beyond. Easily linked to beautiful coastal path walks and a 20 minutes walk from Newquay harbour and the town centre.

  • Great location! You can't beat the quick walk to the beach and a heated pool for after. I recommend taking a walk along the River Gannel that end at stunning views of the ocean. The studio had what you needed and was great for a getaway for two.

** 10% discount for all stays of three nights or more in December 2018 ** ** Message me with the phrase GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK once you've booked :) ** Lovely, snug flat perfect for two guests looking to hide away somewhere in the middle of Falmouth, with gated parking and outside seating area overlooking the harbour.
Falmouth is well known for its waterside activities, and lively town vibe; and this flat gives great access to both. It's bang smack in the middle of the town, right on the water, and has the rarest of advantages in town - its own parking spot, which is inside a secure gated area. Newly refurbished, it's clean, warm and comfortable, but also (hopefully) tastefully kitted out with some home comforts. For sunny days, you won't be found wanting for access to any number of activities, safe in the knowledge that your car doesn't need to move after x number of hours. Regular activities on the main town squares are within easy walking distance, boat trips from the pier are on your doorstep, and the ferry to St Mawes less than 100 metres away. For rainy days, there's the telly with access to Sky...plus a variety of board games...and a PS3 with some old school classics...not to mention the bookshelf...or DVDs. Lastly, I do love a good coffee, so there's a nice Nespresso machine here to be used.
Falmouth is a year-round vibrant town, unique to Cornwall in that there is the omnipresent university crowd who give the area its energy. Three great beaches, countless good eateries, river cruises, fishing trips, walking routes of any length, pubs-a-plenty, and near to any number of days out...this town really is a great centre to a south Cornwall break.
  • Really enjoyable stay. Central town position and good eating places. Lovely accommodation.

  • Steve's apartment is certainly very well located for Falmouth town centre. He is a lovely, communicative & helpful host who I would recommend. I would just note that Thursday night is student night in Falmouth & can get pretty noisy! Thanks again

    Caitlin2017-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's flat is absolutely amazing. It is situated in the very middle of Falmouth with all the shops and restaurants in short walking distance and a harbour right in front of the main door (which can also be admired from the terrace!!). The parking spot that comes along with it is not only super handy but driving onto the pier makes you feel like an actual Falmouth local. ;) Steve was also super friendly and gave us a very warm welcome that was preceded by perfect communication about arrival times, etc.

    Florian2016-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful week in Falmouth. It was great to look out of the window to see the ferries coming and going. Also from the bedroom window to see the busy High Street. The flat was spacious, comfortable and clean with everything you might need to feel at home. At 81 we both found it hard getting luggage and ourselves up and down the 44 stairs. However, we are sure we returned fitter than we went! When the lift is fixed it will be absolutely super. Thank you Steve - a lovely trip in our memory bank. Mavis and Roger

    Roger2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Steve is a great host. Very good communication. The apartment is in a convenient location close to all that Falmouth has to offer. I would highly recommend booking this place to couples and singles.

    Gerwyn2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was not available to meet us but he organised a friend to meet us. The flat was brilliant, well located, well equiped just as described on the website. Definitely recommend it as a base for visiting south Cornwall.

    Glynis2016-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this for my parents as they came to visit me in Falmouth and they had an excellent time. This apartment is located in the centre of town close to all amenities but super quiet and private at the same time. I would definitely book again if the opportunity arose.

  • This place was described very accurately! Literally 20paces from the beach. If your looking for a place to relax and switch off from the world then this is perfect. There are plenty of places to visit within driving distance if your looking to explore too. The beach pad had everything you could possiby want for a comfortable and cosy stay.

  • The property overlooks the beach in one side and hill lock on the other. Lovely views. We drove from London and were caught in the rush hour and ended up close to midnight. We had a bit of trouble in locating the keys though we were given clear instructions. However, the property owners called us back and very extremely kind to drive down to the property in order for us to locate the keys and access the apartment. The Apartment was very clean and fully functional. A great place to be and relax.

    Ramasubramanian2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had an amazing 3 nights here at the end of November, the area was really quiet and we were lucky with the weather which meant perfect walks along the beach and at Watergate Bay. The village shops were still open through the week, and although we'd planned to eat out we decided to make the most of the flat because of it's setting. We'll be going back for sure.

    Graham2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the beach house. The location is perfect, the apartment is clean, tidy and has pretty much everything you'd need. Avis was quick to respond to my questions as well. We body board and loved that we could just walk back to the apartment to change and shower, which in the winter is a bonus. The new boiler/shower worked great and the central heating during the snow made the apartment toasty and warm. Mawgan Porth is a great location, it has pretty much everything you need for a short stay and Newquay/Padstow are a close drive. We're already thinking of when we can come back. Thanks!

  • The apartment was clean and tidy on arrival with loads of beach equipment and toys available. The beach location is perfect for a young family (baby and toddler). There is a bar, pub, cafe, ice cream shop and play ground just yards away. The beach was quiet, very clean with rock pools and over a mile of sand when the tide was out. Beautiful coast path walks straight from the front door. We would definitely consider going back.

  • Traveled to Porthowan following a wedding in Cambridge. Anika and Gwith have a wonderful little beach home with enough room for a family. There were a couple of issues, but we were notified prior to arrival and they were merely inconveniences, didn't effect our stay. Great views, great location, free parking. We woud definitely rent again if we ever find ourselves in these parts.

All the cushions on the day bed can be taken out and placed on the bench outside should you prefer to sit in the sunlight with a drink and a good book, we just ask you take care of them and do not leave them outside in the rain or while you are not at No.7. THE SEA WALL – in the Lounge, is a big part of No.7’s unique features. It is your go to spot for maps (old and new) of Cornwall, Penwith and St.Ives. Very importantly it also has its very own Thermometer to check in on that ever changing temperature, Barometer to see what the weather will be doing and a very handy Tide Clock, showing the hours to high and low tide, which as you will witness when you get to St.Ives is a very visible daily occurrence. Not only has it got that but the wall has 3 big features that you may want to utilise either outside at No.7 or at the Beach …. You have 2 DECKCHAIRS that are hung on the walls with hooks that you can easily lift the chairs off and carry out, plus OUR LOVELY STRIPY WINDBREAK which is also set on hooks that you simply lift off . Perfect to take down to the beach to shield you from the breeze while you hopefully bathe in the sunshine of St.Ives. Just a little request…..Please do take care of these items when taking them out of No.7 they have all been made especially for us and we really wouldn’t want them lost or damaged unnecessarily & please make sure they are back in their rightful places when it comes time for you to leave. THE BATHROOM has a lovely hot shower that you can use at anytime of day (switched on and off using the pull cord by the bathroom light) and guest towels galore for you to use from our boat ore towel rails. THE BEDROOM has an ample built in wardrobe , to unpack and store your bags, or cases. A cosy Double bed, with reading lights and plenty of plug sockets for phone chargers and the hairdryer. It also has a beautiful window seat to situate your self at with a good magazine in the sunlight or to use as a little table when sat outside so the seagulls do not suddenly take an interest to you The window is fitted with a blind , but also a net option, and a heavier grey curtain should you want to block the morning sunlight from waking you. I really hope you enjoy the space I do when I am in St. Ives , its very special to me but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Best Wishes Gemma
No.7 Teetotal Street, is a lovely place to be in St.Ives. It’s a listed residence and a part of a historical Area in the town called 'Downalong' this is traditionally where the fishermen and their families lived and stored their tackle and nets. BEACHES: No.7 is situated within equidistant of 4 of the 5 main beaches in St.Ives, Porthmeor Beach being my favourite, but Porthgwidden is a lovely spot too and your closest one to skip to, along with Bambaloose Beach (its a tidal beach though so at certain times of the day it isn't that accessible). The harbour beach is literally around the corner too and is quite the hype of activity in the summer but good atmosphere non the less. Porthminster Beach is little further away, across the harbour (10-15 minutes walk depending how busy the harbour is). Go Explore and if you feel like a surf go and see the lovely guys at St.Ives Surf School at Porthmeor Beach WHERE TO EAT: Porthmeor, Porthgwidden, The Harbour Beach & Porthminster are close to and attached to some really lovely Restaurants. You must try and get a table at the Porthmeor Cafe for dinner or lunch, if not West Beach on the Far side of the beach has a lovely menu and is a fabulous location to chill out and watch the sunset over the beach- its not to be missed! Porthgwidden also have a fabulous restaurant, for lunch and Dinner with sea view to boot. The Porthminster Restuarant which is on Porthminster Beach is famed and reviewed countrywide for its award winning menu and is also a fabulous location. If you do not feel like the walk over there, then there is plenty on the Harbour front to head to. Just around the corner is The Tea Rooms which in the evening has one of the tastiest menu's in town, all fresh local produce with a fabulous wine list and relaxed romantic feel. Alternatively the newly opened Porthminster Kitchen is highly recommended, breakfast , lunch or dinner, you really cannot go wrong there. The newly refurbished Alba is a great place for a cocktail and a delicious meal. On Fore Street there is 57 Fore Street which is a great place for wine and tapas of an evening (lovely sea-views upstairs), The Seafood Cafe is a popular choice and further down Fore Street near the market place is Black Rock which is always highly praised for their food. Olive's Cafe near Teetotal Street is a little hidden gem too:). Bars like The Hub, The Balcony, Blass Burger & West Beach (Porthmeor) are more relaxed in their approach but are great for well made and good quality food, mixed with a bar feel to them.... there are so much more but I will let you go forth and conquer St. Ives on that front. TAKE A LOOK AROUND Fore Street, and the Harbour are the main shopping areas, There is an off license called Johns on Fore Street, which is stocked with anything you may require on that front, The Allotment Delli on Fore Street has everything from fresh fruit, bread , pressed juices and veg to olives, sandwishes and picnic items for the beach they even do toilet roll & tea bags Make sure you go and explore the coastal paths and walks local to St.Ives, they are breathtaking! Take a trip to the Tate St.Ives and don't forget to see the Hepworth Museum , a truly insightful way of seeing the art scene and its famous historical effect on the area, one of my favourites . Have FUN!
  • Gemma's place is a fantastically well-located little gem in the heart of St Ives. The place is cosy and decorated to a very good standard. It is well equipped and you have everything you need to cook (if you don't want to cook, there are plenty of places to eat nearby). While the place is ideal for a couple, it was comfortable and spacious enough for us to stay 4 nights with our one-year-old toddler. There are two car parks nearby, which was really handy for us. Overall, fantastic experience - the only downside was that we couldn't stay longer :)

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at No.7 Teetotal Street - the perfect place to relax and be when exploring St. Ives and the rest of Southern Cornwall. The apartment is clean, well kept, decorated so sweetly and Gemma is more than helpful, going above and beyond of what we expected her to do and offer. We would definitely recommend her place as the place to be for a getaway, and would definitely also consider returning. Thank you Gemma!

  • My parents had a great time staying at No7 Teetotal Street. Lovely cottage, comfy bed, perfect location. Made their stay all that more enjoyable and special. Gemma was a great host, very thoughtful and accommodating! Would definitely recommend!!!!!!!

  • This is a very, very cosy cottage in a beautiful part of Cornwall. It's in the heart of St Ives, just a minute or two walk to the harbour. It's very comfortable and well equipped. Gemma was extremely helpful, and a real pleasure to deal with from booking through to ensuring we had an enjoyable stay. I would certainly recommend this cottage.

  • Fantastic location to explore St Ives and the wider area and a beautiful space. A welcome retreat from the madness of St Ives in August! Easy walking distance to shops, beaches and restaurants. Tastefully decorated, perfect holiday home, if only someone would shut those seagulls up!

  • Lovely flat in a great location in beautiful st Ives, just a few minutes' walk from beaches and bars and restaurants. The flat has everything you need for a weekend or a week stay and we felt really welcome and had great contact with the host, Gemma, prior to the trip who was really friendly and helpful. Olives cafe two minutes away should not be missed either!

    Marie2016-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Gemma was a great host - responding in a timely manner with informative answers and sending through a comprehensive info sheet long before our arrival. Both conducive to a very successful and relaxing stay, which it was. Though small (where isn't in St Ives), the property is clean, bright, stylish and inviting. Walking distance from more or less anywhere, but most importantly Porthmeor beach, which is just beautiful. Would recommend and would return.

Our home is in the heart of 'Poldark Country' in West Cornwall close to the cliffs and moors. The area is renowned for the views, the light and the open space. The accommodation is a self contained flat attached to our house with it's own separate entrance. We are in a small village with a pub and Meadery less than 2 minutes walk away. Other attractions nearby are Geevor Tin Mine and St Just. St Ives, with it's artistic buzz and beaches, and busy Penzance are an easy drive or bus ride away.
We are in a village but the moors and coast path are two minutes from the front door. West Cornwall is renowned for it's dramatic scenery, ancient historical sites and more recent industrial archaeology (Poldark's Wheal Grace Mine is a short walk away on the cliffs!) The area has been designated an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty" and is in the UN World Heritage site. The secluded secret sandy beach at Portherras is close by and the surfing beaches of Sennen, Gwenver and Porthmeor are 20 minutes drive away. Throughout the summer months there are nightly performances at the world famous Minack Theatre and there is a vibrant local arts and music scene. There are as range of adventurous activities available in the area from surfing lessons to horse riding on the beach, sailing and canoeing to golf. If you want more details please ask and I will send to links the the appropriate website.
  • Cottage cosy, accueil parfait, tout etait parfait d ailleurs ! Cerise sur le gâteau...un temps exceptionnel ! À recommander aux amoureux de la nature et aux amoureux tout court !

  • We had a superb Welcome and really enjoyed our Stay. We can recommend the place for having a look around without staying in a Loud or busy town. Everything was set up lovely!

  • Great home with fantastic host. We really enjoyed our stay there. We found at home everything what we needed and wanted, even more! Homemade muffins on arrival and very helpful host. A lovely and cosy place to stay! Thank you Jeremy and Rachel!

    Magdalena2017-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet and comfortable. Close to lots of great places. Jeremy a perfect host. Highly recommended!

    Bernard2017-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy and Rachel met us and showed us the workings of the flat, which was roomier and more comfortable than it looks in the pics. Rachel had baked a most delicious coconut and cherry cake which was welcome and kept us going all week. Tea, milk and coffee was also provided. The cottage was perfectly located for our purposes: close to St Just with its various shops, farm market (Saturdays) and fantastic Kurt Jackson gallery, and to the Tin Coast, prehistoric sites and all the awesome sights of the peninsula. We enjoyed warming ourselves by the wood burner and cooking local produce in the well-equipped kitchen. There was plenty of room for two people. The only niggle was the lack of outside space, although this wasn't a problem for us. Thoroughly recommended.

    Clare2016-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jeremy welcomed us and looked after us so well. We wished we could have stayed longer. We loved the apartment, it was perfect for our little getaway. Very well kept and equipped. Places to eat right around the corner, rugged coastline just a few stone throws away, and quaint towns to explore nearby. Highlights of our exploring were Cape Cornwall, Mousehole (wish we'd seen it at Christmas), Sennen Cove (not least the lifeboat station) . Many things we'd like to come back and see/visit in the summer, including Minack Theatre and of course the beaches. Oh also, it was very quiet in the mornings. We had the longest lie-ins we've had since having children! Very much recommended for a cosy getaway and/or a base for exploring the western-most treats of England.

  • I loved staying here, it was perfect and I slept like a log. A great base to explore West Cornwall

    Caroline2017-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully renovated, self-contained unit in a lovely old cottage. We couldn't believe how well set up this place was, including a log fire, hair dryer, toiletries and a kitchen that had everything you could want. Homemade scones on arrival and a very helpful host. A lovely place to stay in a beautiful area. Thanks!

  • We had a great time in this beautiful, clean and cosy flat. It is in a great (and very quiet) location nearby some of Cornwall's best spots. Would recommend to anyone, 5 stars!

    John2016-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in the stables and in West Cornwall, where we braved the high winds and rain to walk as much as possible along the near coast and beaches, and in many pretty villages and towns. The old stables are beautifully renovated, comfortable and importantly ... warm. There is much attention to detail in a smallish space - and everything you could want, including Christmas decorations! Judy and family were very discrete and welcoming - a new scrabble was delivered to us by one of Judy's children - thanks! We especially enjoyed the Montol mid Winter festival in Penzance and gazing across at St Michael's Mount, that unfortunately we could not visit due to the ferry being cancelled. Nearby Porthleven was great - The Square (excellent dinner & thanks Judy for the tip off) and the Ship Inn where we took refuge at the height of the storm. We were pleased to get back to our comfy stable after muddy tourism and wild, vivifying weather. We would love to visit Cornwall again at some future point. We recommend the Old Stables - next time we might go for a slightly larger space - the Piggery? Thanks Judy and family and all the best for the new year.

    Françoise2015-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent converted stables with superb amenities. Located close to Porthleven with lots of shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend staying.

  • We’ve had such a lovely stay at the Old Stables. So clean and comfortable, Judy went above and beyond to make sure we had everything for our stay including a travel cot and high chair for our young son. Lovely accommodation, in a perfect location. We loved it!

    Charlotte2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Stables is a wonderful place to explore Cornwall. The accommodation was fantastic and you can just make out the sea. We were definitely sad to leave

    Natalie2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • I couldn't have had a better first-time experience of Air bnb. Judy's attention to detail is incredible. The Stable was absolutely gorgeous with everything I could possibly need. Really lovely touches such as fresh bread, butter, jam and milk waiting for me really made a difference. Great location - I didn't have a car but it was just a few minutes to the bus stop and I visited many beautiful Cornwall sights easily. Loved coming back to my little 'cottage'. In fact, I enjoyed the stay so much I'm about to book again - this time bringing my Mum!

Studio 5 is a spacious studio apartment for 2 with an en-suite shower room on the ground floor of our 3-storey eco-build house, a 25-minute walk from the harbour. We hope you'll feel at home whether you’re here for a few days or a couple of weeks.
Studio 5 is an open-plan ground floor apartment so we've gone for a contemporary look in which we showcase the work of a few local artists. We've tried to make sure that that you have everything you need to make you feel at home - and we've also listened to the feedback from our 100+ sets of airbnb guests over the last three years. Bedroom & shower room You'll certainly have sweet dreams when you snuggle down on the double bed with its really comfortable Natural Collection Hempure mattress with 2,560 pocket springs. No need to cram sheets and towels into your suitcase: we provide all bedding along with hand, bath and beach towels - free of charge. There’s plenty of room for your clothes in the chest of drawers (where you'll find a hairdryer) and wardrobe (with a supply of coat hangers). There's shampoo, shower and hand gel in the shower room. Living/dining area Cosy up on the sofa to watch TV, listen to the radio, read books or play games. The dining table also doubles as a desk space is you're here on business. There is SATfree and Wi-Fi availability plus you have access to our Amazon Prime account. There's also a DVD player and wide selection of movies (including Disney classics) and TV series to choose from. We're both great readers and love to share so please feel free to browse our 'lending library'. If the weather turns wild or you just want to lounge around, there's also a selection of board games - including the Cornish version of Monopoly - to keep you occupied. Kitchen The kitchen is small but 'perfectly formed' with an electric oven and double hob – there’s no gas at this end of town – plus a microwave and additional cupboard space. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for eating and drinking. We don't do bed-and-breakfast but there's a choice of cereals and porridge, and we've stocked up on Cornish tea (and some speciality teas), coffee, milk and biscuits for you. Plus there’ll be sugar in the sugar bowl and filled salt-and-pepper mills. If you don’t feel like cooking, the choice of restaurants in St Ives serving great and, generally, locally sourced food is awesome. The Studio 5 information pack includes reviews of our favourites as well as tips from friends and other guests. If you're feeling really lazy (and why not, you're on holiday), a number of restaurants in town also do home deliveries so just give them a call and sit back and relax. And another thing (or four) - Finding the perfect temperature to suit everyone is almost impossible so there's a heater and fan so that you can be as warm or cool as you like. - If you need a pristinely ironed shirt, there's an iron and ironing board; there's also a clothes airer. - If you want to eat breakfast al fresco, there's a bistro set and a small outdoor space to the rear of the apartment. - As well as beach towels, there's a wind break (essential on a British beach) and a couple of body boards you can use.
Studio 5 is tucked away in a quiet courtyard at the top of the Higher Stennack. We don’t have a sea view – you can experience that within a few minutes of leaving the front door – but we do have free parking for one car which is real bonus in St Ives, particularly during the summer months. We’re a 25-minute walk from the harbour, shops, restaurants, galleries and local cinema (admittedly downhill going and uphill all the way back) so that, even in the height of summer, this is an oasis of calm and tranquillity. If you can't face the walk back up the hill, there is a taxi rank next to the cinema and a couple of local buses you can catch. We’re only a 20-minute walk from one of the most glorious and best surfing beaches in the area – Porthmeor – where you can also find Tate St Ives (closed for rebuilding until. We’re blessed with four other town beaches: Porthgwidden, Bamaluz, Harbour and Porthminster – everyone has their favourite. We’re also 20 minutes’ walk from the South-West Coast Path, joining at Hellesveor with a choice of 5.5 strenuous miles to Zennor along a breath-taking route (that’s the views and literally) that hugs the cliff top or the scenic route of about 1 mile along the Coast Path heading into St Ives. Head inland for 20 minutes and you’ll reach Knill’s Monument, the highest point around here, with spectacular views across the bay to Godrevy lighthouse and on a clear day to Newquay, 25 miles along the coast. From here you can join St Michael’s Way, which meanders its way across country to Marazion, St Michael’s Mount and the South Coast. So whether you’re looking for a beach holiday, a base for walking or just want to experience the culture that St Ives has to offer - there's a vibrant calendar of art, music, cinema and theatre all year round - this is a great spot to base yourself. • Studio très confortable et bien situé pour visiter la région. Des hôtes accueillants et très serviables. Merci!

  • Gary and Lin's studio in St Ives is beautiful and well located. It is close enough to walk to the seaside. The guest book is thoughtful and detailed and helped us plan our days from a local's point of view. Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting St Ives!

  • We were made very welcome and found everything we expected plus some special extras. The parking was easy, location good for exploring the area, and it was quiet. We felt it was exactly what we wanted and were very comfortable.

    Nancy2016-06-04T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! Gary and Lin have obviously put a lot of effort into decorating the studio and thinking of everything a traveller would need. We particularly enjoyed the special extra touches! The location is great especially with a parking spot - we found the walk to and from the studio to St Ives manageable but then we're use to walking everywhere.

    Natalie2015-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and Iain loved our trip to St Ives and studio 5. When we got to the studio we were welcomed by Lyn who gave us a great tour and we were told everything. We were then left to unpack and explore etc. Lyn and Gary had left us so much information about restaurants and tourist places to visit and even a book detailing what their favourite places are and really made it easier to plan where we would like to go based on reviews. The studio itself was lovely, so welcoming and homely, yet functional and filled with everything you would need. The bed is so so comfy which for me is a massive plus! Gary and Lyn left gave us space - and we didn't really cross paths as we were out quite a lot however Lyn made us a lovely cake and left us a bottle of bubbly in the fridge. I think this is the perfect location for any family/couple if they are visiting st Ives, the walk to town is a lovely one - and you get used to the hill on the way back. Thank you Gary and Lyn x

  • We had a lovely short stay at Studio 5. It is a great, comfortable space filled with lovely pictures and decorative beach items plus Gary's very lovely artwork on display. There were lots of lovely touches and arrival gifts to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We enjoyed our time st Studio 5 and would have stayed longer if we could. Thanks again. Vicki

  • The studio 5 was a very decorative and comfortable way of staying in St Ives. We felt very welcome, even we saw our two hosts not much. They gave us good instructions and loads of leaflets with places worth seeing. We would like to come back another time!

  • This place is so beautiful. Celia is really prompt to respond, the apartment is stunning and really stylish. And what a view! We were so happy to stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. Stand out for me was the beautiful piano - it was so idyllic to wake up in the morning, play some tunes on the piano, before going to read my book by the balcony with a cup of coffee the location is beautiful and apartment sparkling clean. thanks again!!

  • The View out the window to the harbor is breathtaking! It is a unique space and we loved it. We were three women on holiday and it was perfect. We made breakfast every morning in the kitchen and visited the friendly Turtles each evening when we came home. It's a steep walk but we were close to everything and Celia's recommendations for eating and sightseeing were spot-on. I would highly recommend this place!

  • We had a wonderful stay, the apartment is spacious and light. It feels very relaxing, the views from the balcony are beautiful and lovely to sit out in the morning sun. Celia was very helpful and gave us clear directions and recommendations of places to eat near by. The scones and cream were a lovely surprise when we arrived. Overall a fantastic stay and we wished we could have stayed longer.

  • The creativity of this space is amazing! It has all of the best for the entire family. What a beautiful view from the from balcony. Our kids had a great time with the toys and games as well. Hope to stay again in the future.

  • Celia's apartment was perfect and the photos do not do it justice! With great views of the harbour, the flat had everything we needed and Celia was a lovely host! Perfectly situated for doing day trips all over this beautiful part of Cornwall. I would highly recommend and would love to visit again!

    Alex2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderfully stylish yet very homely (and warm) apartment, especially when you get the log fire going. The pictures do not do the views from the balcony of the harbour and St Michaels Mount justice. The place is kitted out with everything you could want for a quick getaway or a longer holiday and was such a good base to explore West Cornwall from. Penzance just up the road provides anything you might need during your stay but is far enough away that you will only hear the noise from Newlyn harbour or the birds. Celia was an excellent host, excellent communication, and made my first Air BnB experience a positive one.

The apartment is within walking distance of everything (shops, restaurants, train station etc) Well equipped kitchen with enough utensils for you to cook for 1000. Loved the underfloor heating in the kitchen and bathroom. A really stylish touch.

  • Jo's place was just lovely. Her communication and organisation were both very good and we wanted for absolutely nothing. The flat was clean, warm, modern, and a really nice home away from home. The location is great for walking into Falmouth and has very easy transport access to the surrounding area for day trips. There was also a great choice of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. A great experience

  • This is a wonderful apartment if you want to be sure of great views over wondeful Sennen Cove. The steps up to the property are an effort, but it's worth it! The apartment was very well appointed, clean and modern. We hope to stay again in the future, and hopefully have some clear skies to make use of the telescope!

  • A really nice flat just a few minutes from the train station in Penzance, with big windows and a view over to the sea (the photo in the listing is spot on!) The flat was immaculately clean when we arrived. It's not especially large, but perfectly sized for a couple to stay for a few days. Comfortable, good size double bed, modern shower with good water pressure, standard kitchen where everything worked etc. Darren provided us the details for entry in advance, and the code system meant we didn't need to worry about arranging a check-in time, or about carrying keys during our trip All in all perfect location for a stay in Penzance!

Freshly refurbished apartment only a 2 minute walk to Porth beach with various bars & restaurants close by. I have created a fresh and light space which you can enjoy relaxing in. Alternatively you can explore Porth Island which is an area of outstanding natural beauty with views of the whole coastline. In light of feedback, I have now added a luxury mattress and WIFI. I have also added some more cosy soft furnishings to make our guests feel even more at home :)
We have worked hard to make the apartment as fresh and light as possible. We want you to enjoy your stay so feel free to comment on how we can improve our space for your future stays. Update 17/10/16: Thank you for all your feedback which has resulted in me trying my best to make the apartment more luxurious for our future guests. I have taken all the negatives and tried my best to turn them in to positives. It's still a work in progress so feel free to keep me informed of any other aspects I need to focus on :)
Porth is a very quiet and beautiful area about a 10 minute drive from Newquay Town Centre. We love the peace and tranquility that Porth offers so if you are looking for a party this probably isn't the place for you. Newquay town is much more lively :)
  • Really good location and good value for money!

    Harli2017-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was clean and tidy, it was exactly as described. It did take a little finding as the location on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps isn't accurate. you need to head down Porth Way to the bottom of the road as if you're heading toward the beach, on the left hand side is a block of small apartments called Tides Reach. That's where the apartment is. The location is around 2.5 miles walk to Fistral Beach and Newquay town centre.

    Lewis2016-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great little find. We stayed here to attend a wedding at a nearby hotel. Although it isn't aesthetically pleasing from the outside it was a lovely little apartment, like a home from home, plenty of room for a couple. We didnt spend much time there to be honest but when we did it was a pleasant stay. Instructions for the heater in the lounge would have been helpful as it got a bit chilly on one of the days. Apartment was very clean and i would recommend this place to others. 5 mins walk to the beach and a nice walk into Newquay for breakfast at the Bush Pepper (excellent brekkie you have to try it) ! Only negatives were little things like the inner door not closing properly, it seemed too big for the door frame maybe due to damp as there was a dehumidifier on continuously in the porch and no long mirror next to plug point in bedroom for doing yr hair etc. Nice touches were condiments in cupboard and washing up liquid etc provided which was good, selection of magazines. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

  • We stayed for 2 nights and Louise's apartment was perfect for what we needed. It was beautifully kept and exactly as you see in the pictures. As everyone has said there isn't any mobile reception which wasn't a problem (was quite nice actually!) except for when we wanted to call a taxi we had to go down to the nearby hotel and use their phone. Check in was easy and we didn't need to contact Louise but if we did, her mobile number was available. Great location, short walk to porth beach and you can follow the costal path down to Newquay which has beautiful views.

  • Hayley's place is fabulous!! Perfect location only 5mins walk from the train station and bus station. Restaurants and stores just downstairs, very lively neighbourhood but not noisy at all. Have to mention the terrace which is amazing for a afternoon tea while enjoying the sea view, absolutely amazing. Everything you need for a great holiday they have thought about, even beach towels and mats. Would definitely recommend Hayley's place, couldn't think of any place better:)

  • Amazing loft apartment, very central, clean and spacious for 2 guests. Kitchen had all the appliances needed, washer/dryer was very useful to have. 5 mins walk from long stay car park - £6 parking for 24 hours. Lovely hosts with great communication re arrival etc. Highly recommend!

  • Hayley and Tom's place was lovely, exactly as pictured.. Some might say the pictures don't do it justice! The view in the morning across the bay was spectacular! It was very clean, everything you needed was provided, we cooked each evening and found we had everything we needed. Perfect for a short break/weekend away..! Only downside was that as a tall person I suffered a few bangs to the head from the low ceiling, but apart from that everything was perfect!

    Sophie2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely bright, clean and well laid out apartment in a very convenient location. Pros: - Very clean and well presented on arrival. Comfortable, warm, bright and airy. The toilet / bathroom and washing machine are downstairs with the remainder being upstairs - The apartment itself and the surrounding area is very quiet indeed so you won't be disturbed and you'll get a great nights sleep - Very convenient for the high street and the railway and bus stations - The roof terrace outside area is especially great with fantastic views of the harbour area - Hayley had provided a list of recommended cafes / restaurants. We didn't try them all but those that we did were spot on - Hayley was always very quick to respond in a positive manner to any questions / queries we had Cons: - None. Surrounding area: - As already mentioned, Hayley provided lots of useful recommendations and there are lots of pamphlets in the flat for perusal - There is a tourist information centre next to the train / bus station which is now run by the National Trust. The gentleman we spoke to was extremely helpful and provided us with detailed information on bus and train options for day trips as well as the most economic method of purchasing tickets (you can get day tickets that can be used on both busses and trains) Without hesitation, I'd definitely come back to the area again for further explorations and I'd love to stay in this apartment again. Loved it.

    Richard2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tom and Hayley were great hosts. They were always quick to respond to my messages and it was very easy checking in and out. The apartment was exactly as described and very clean and tidy on arrival. Excellent wifi, comfortable bed, hot shower, and parking less than 5 mins away in the Harbour car park. All in all, a great base for day-tripping around the Cornish coast! Few things to note - they really mean it when they say there are some low ceilings! You will occasionally bump your head :) Also, there aren't blinds in the living room so it can get bright in the morning if you're sleeping on the sofa bed. Finally, the best meal of our holiday was at Ben's Cornish Kitchen in the next town. Go for lunch.. you won't be disappointed!

  • This delightful oasis was a lovely home away from home for two travellers who had been on the move for 3 weeks. The apartment had everything we could require and although we had intended to cook there were too many delicious offerings very close by to change our minds. The views from the spacious balcony were stunning.

  • The attic was perfect for spending a long weekend in St Ives. The apartment was central to everything that St Ives has to offer, less than a 5 minute walk from the train station (where we left our car in the long stay car park for £8 a day) right near Porthminster beach and not even a minute walk away to all of the lovely little shops and great places to eat & drink in St Ives. Although central, the apartment is down a quiet street so we had no noise problems. The apartment is modern and stylish, super clean with a really comfortable bed. A great size for a couple staying, with great amenities, a kitchen space for cooking and a lovely en suite bathroom. Elaine left a folder of helpful info about the town which was a nice touch, even though we have been a few times it was useful! We would definitely stay in one of Elaine’s apartments again and would 100% recommend.

Great place to stay close to beach and shops. Plenty of pubs with good food. Parking for one car.
With gorgeous views to the sea, just a stone’s throw from Portreath's sandy beach is our home. There is parking for one car, however there is further parking available on the road. You have a few steps up to your apartment in our house and your own secluded balcony overlooking the village and the ocean, you will not want to leave! There is a fully fitted kitchenette with a fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, oven and hob for all of your catering requirements. The main bedroom has one king sized bed and in the second bedroom there is one 4ft double bed. Sea View caters for four people comfortably. The bathroom has a shower fitted to wash off the sand after a fun day on the beach. Sea View apartment is fitted with a TV, DVD and super fast broadband WIFI for your entertainment and business needs. There is a minimum of a two night booking at Sea Views. We can provide a travel cot if needed, however you will need to supply bedding.
Close by there are a few shops, two surf shops, a bike hire shop, a bakers, and a small shop selling basic necessities. There are three local pubs in the area and a few lovely, friendly cafes. The village also has a fish and chip and Chinese takeaway and a children’s play park. The food choice in the village is brilliant so you don't have to go far if you choose not to. Ten minutes away we have Hayle’s 3 miles of golden sands which is a surfer’s paradise – we have it all here waiting for you. We are also close to Tehidy Woods with Illogan woods just a few minutes walk. Just a few minutes walk away is the Portreath to Bissoe Tram Road where you can either cycle or walk. We are one mile away from the prestigious Tehidy Golf Club where Matt is a member and happy to sign you in at a reduced rate. Cornwall is also well known as a mecca for diving, with hundreds of wrecks around the coastline and lots of reputable dive schools in the area willing to take you out to the wrecks. The sunsets are truly amazing throughout the summer and beyond.

  • Just returned from a lovely relaxing family short break in Cornwall staying at The Haven. The apartment was fantastic, wonderful sea/beach views from pretty much every window and the outdoor decking/balcony was an added bonus so that we could sit out overlooking the lovely beach and look out to sea watching the sunsets...beautiful. The apartment is really spacious with plenty of living space, comfortable beds and a great kitchen with everything you need (dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave etc). Matt and Mel were wonderful, welcoming hosts and even went to the added trouble of arranging a travel cots for our little one which was brilliant as it saved us packing even more stuff into the car. They even put on a welcoming cream tea for us on arrival - a lovely touch! The location is fantastic as you can easily walk into the village and to the beach where you can hire bikes, sample excellent fish and chips and make the most of a great beach. Matt and Mel gave us loads of tips of where to eat (definitely try the Pasties from Portreath bakery!!). Portreath is an excellent base for getting around Cornwall so we will most definitely be back.

    Sofia2017-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our short stay in the sleepy village of Portreath. The space is large and light with beautiful views of the sea.

  • Great apartment that is clean and spacious. Everything was spotless the bathroom bedrooms and kitchen, very comfortable and felt very much at home. We went with two young children who both loved the space and having the kitchen was ideal when sorting breakfast and dinners! Lovely beach on your doorstep and an amazing serene sea view from the balcony which we enjoyed whilst the kids were sleeping. Mel was lovely greeted us on arrival and then let us get on with our stay but was there if we needed anything. 30 minute drive from St Ives and the beautiful Carbis Bay Beach. Would 100% come back!

    Momotaz2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We decided to 'steal' an extra night away in Cornwall and found The Haven to be free on our required date. Judy was a great host responding to our enquiries promptly and being on hand to welcome us to the apartment. We were situated on the top floor of the main house with beautiful views overlooking the beach. The apartment itself is cosy and clean and only a short walk down a coastal path to reach the beach and local pubs & cafes where you can grab a tasty bite to eat. The sun terrace was a particular highlight and we were able to enjoy the warm evening sun setting over the water. While the accommodation was in the top part of the main house, you still feel very secluded and our privacy was respected; we only saw Judy to hand over the keys however she was always available if we had any questions. Portreath is a lovely seaside village and we did not want to leave! I would stay at The Haven again without hesitation! Thanks again :)

  • The 'apartment' was perfect - everything you need for a tranquil stay. I was working in the area and it was so much nicer than staying in a conventional b & b and would happily revisit for a holiday. Clean, comfortable and spacious. Great location and the hosts, Jeannie & John couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Can definitely recommend.

Rainbird Studio is a light and airy studio apartment with its own little courtyard just yards from restaurants, shops and bars and Gyllyngvase beach. You couldn't be in a better location.
The location. You really can't beat it. The studio is light with high ceilings and you have your own little courtyard to sit out in. Rainbird Studio consists of a bedroom with a double bed, 2 chairs and a TV/DVD etc; a kitchen with dining table and 2 chairs, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, toaster and kettle; and a shower room with a good shower, sink and loo. You can see a rough drawing of the layout and size of the studio in the photos. Please note there is no separate sitting room.
Gyllyngvase Terrace is a brilliant place to live and stay, having the beach at one end of it and the Princess Pavilions (and their beautiful gardens and great restaurant) at the other. The street is a mixture of residential houses and B&B's and there is really nice backpackers' lodge opposite where people sit outside on warm summer's evenings so it can be quite convivial. Falmouth is a vibrant, happy town with beaches, shops, great restaurants, bars, a marina, theatre, parks - all within quite a small (and very walkable) area.

  • Looks and does exactly what is says on the tin!!! Could not recommend this place more, very short walk away from one the nicest beaches in Cornwall, close to Pendennis Castle for a great day out too! Studio was warm, clean and very, very homely on a quiet street full of friendly faces. Bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything that you would need. Shower was a beauty (better than my one at home!) Thank-you very much for having me and my and children and I'm sure we will be seeing you again as we loved the studio and Falmouth is truly superb! x

    Oliver2016-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay! It was very clean and cosy, with a fantastic location close to Gylly beach! We arrived very early and Caitlin made sure we could get in a few hours early which we really appreciated! The bathroom looked brand new and had a lovely power shower - great after a day of being in the sea! Thanks very much Caitlin, we'll be sure to recommend!

    Sophie2016-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Caitlin's studio is lovely. It's warm, extremely clean, the bed's comfy and the shower's great! The location is perfect-just round the corner from Gylly beach and a short walk into town. We didn't get to meet Caitlin, but her communication was always friendly and very prompt. Thanks so much for having us!

    James2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and really good value for money. Caitlin left us some yummy biscuits which was a welcome treat when we arrived!

    Sarah2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Although we didn't meet Caitlin, she communicated very well and was always available by email or phone if we needed anything. The location of the property is excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the beach. The apartment is warm and well decorated with everything you need for a short getaway. Unfortunately the floors and rugs were not very clean and there was a lot of pet hair in the kitchen and bedroom. There was also a bad smell coming from the cupboard which houses the boiler and copper pipes. Despite these issues we would certainly stay here again in the future.

    Esther2016-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location, so close to the beach and the town. Perfect for exploring lovely Falmouth.

    Denise2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location for beach and town. Kitchen well equipped and property clean and tidy. Clear directions and instructions on accessing property. Property contained all equipment necessary such as hairdryer, iron and outdoor seating for a relaxing break. Would definitely recommend.

Our newly refurbished apartment is centrally located and has stunning views across St Ives Bay. It is a characterful, spacious and well-equipped with 1 bedroom and 2 double John Lewis sofa beds in the separate lounge. In February this year a new high spec. kitchen and bathroom were fitted. Don't like the St Ives hills but like having everything on the doorstep in a quiet spot? Get access to everything the town has to offer on your door stop without having to worry about walking or driving in!
A newly refurbished, well equipped and spacious apartment with great views over St Ives Bay. For those of you new to St Ives, it is very hilly so if you don’t fancy the walk every time you leave your house then this is ideal. The amazing beaches, harbour, bars and restaurants are only moments away. Key features include: • 50 Metres from the Harbour – see exact location in photo gallery • Train station – 0.4 miles away • Bus station – 0.2 miles away • New Kitchen and Bathroom as of February 2018 with dishwasher and walk in shower • Fibre optic broadband and sound system with iPod dock • Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen diner and separate lounge • Character property with contemporary design – built in the 1700’s from Cornish granite with original fireplaces and high ceilings • Due to the central location we don’t have private parking but there are local long stay car parks including Trenwith Car Park and The Island Car Park. The bedroom has a double bed with new orthopedic mattress, there are two John Lewis sofa beds in the separate lounge for any parties bigger than two (maximum 4 people). Electric heaters in all rooms and a fire in the lounge make it a warm and inviting place to spend a few days or even a few weeks!
As you know by now, we are centrally located in the heart of St Ives so shops, bars, restaurants etc are literally on your door step. Although you are in the heart of the town, as we are elevated it is surprisingly quiet! St Ives has 4 main beaches including Porthmeor (Surfy beach), Porthwidgen, Porthminster and St Ives Harbour beaches all within a maximum walk of 5 minutes of the apartment. The Barbara Hepworth gardens are just behind the apartment and the Tate is a 5 minute walk away next to Porthmeor beach. Many artists are attracted to the area for the special light St Ives has so there are plenty of beautiful galleries as well as music venues/theatres in the area. It’s also worth noting that the main fishing port in Cornwall (Newlyn) is only 8 miles away. We always go and get our fish from Stevenson W & Sons Ltd and Trelawney Fish and Deli. There is a big Tesco on the way into St Ives and in St Ives itself there is a Co-op two minutes from the apartment. What I visit a new place, the most useful thing for us to know is a rundown of good places to eat and drink. If you want fine dining or great pub food St Ives caters for all tastes – there is a abundance of choice. We’ve been visiting St Ives for years now and we still haven’t managed to eat in some of the amazing restaurants on offer! Here are a few of our favourites for food and a tipple: • http://www.blasburgerworks.co.uk/ - amazing burgers • http://www.harbourfishandchips.co.uk/ - posh fish & chips (eat in or take out) • http://www.hub-stives.co.uk/ - great bar serving craft beer and cocktails that also does views, balcony overlooking the harbour • http://www.alba-stives.co.uk/ - fine dining • https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186243-d2091113-Reviews-Pengenna_Pasties-St_Ives_Cornwall_England.html - best pasties and a 5 second walk from the apartment. and for dessert: http://www.moomaidofzennor.com/parlours/
  • The flat was spacious, with a lovely view from the kitchen (it gets the morning sun so it's wonderful place to sit with a coffee) and very conveniently located for getting around St Ives on foot. The shower had good pressure. Wifi was ok for browsing but not quite strong enough for streaming TV or movies (although we did manage one movie so it's not impossible). We personally found the bed to be too narrow for comfort, and the mattress was very firm - we could feel the springs and it creaked noisily with every small movement. If the bed were replaced this very good flat would be excellent. There are two sets of windows and I'd suggest putting both down during the night as the seagulls in St Ives are very loud from sunrise onwards.

  • Gorgeous property in a perfect location. Friendly host who communicated all necessary information in plenty of time for our trip. Would recommend for anyone who wants a peaceful (seagulls aside!!) break away. Will almost certainly be back :)

    Nic2015-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very welcoming nicely furnished and well equipped. The location is fantastic for the town facilities and all beaches. We had a great stay and would happily recommend staying here.

  • Vi kan verkligen rekommendera detta boende, det bästa vi kan tänka oss för ett par i den supercharmiga lilla staden vid havet. Nära till allt.

    Henrik2017-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, beautifully presented, clean apartment in a truly unbeatable location, with everything you could need for your stay. Comfortable and cosy if you want a night in, but is steps away from the harbour for fun evenings out! Decorated with a nautical theme throughout which provides a real holiday-feel, would absolutely recommend!

  • What a beautiful apartment in a beautiful place. We would never get tired of that view over St Andrews Church and the ocean. My girlfriend is Spanish and had never been to Cornwall and by the end of the trip we trying to figure out how we could live there! Apartment - Perfect Views - Perfect St Ives - Perfect We will be returning!

  • Location, location, location. And, add a great host with a modern staged flat that appeals to the seasoned traveler and the " Loft" does it. The lovely flat is in walking distance from the train, bus, trails or beach. It is in the heart of St. Ives where you walk out your door and in minutes you savor lattes, pasties, seafood, etc. Most of all, you can stare out the kitchen window and see the sea, the beautiful church tower and the lovely cobble stone street below. Our train was late but our host, Wendy arranged for someone to meet us at the flat and offer the keys. The flat is bright, clean and contains all your needs. Flat screen TV, microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, stereos, DVD player and a library of videos if the weather is not on your side. Don't miss the many excellent and inexpensive seafood restaurants and typical English pubs. St. Ives deserves the reputation it has as a wonderful seacoast town and the "loft" has all the features to make your visit worthwhile.

    Edward2017-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's apartment has everything you need. The location is perfect and the view from the kitchen is amazing. It was our first time in St Ives and we love it there and are already looking at availability at Wendy's place for next summer.

Ground floor apartment in a secluded location. There is ample private parking outside. There is a small conservatory to sit in which gets the morning sun and double doors which lead out to a patio area and private garden with direct views of the Cape.
A perfect getaway for couples wanting a quiet break. There are lots of coast paths nearby to explore and stunning scenery to enjoy.
Cape Cornwall is a short walk a way with secluded pebbled beaches. Cape Cornwall golf club is nearby and is open to the public and has a reasonably priced restaurant and bar.It also has a heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi which has only recently been opened. St. Just is a small town with a good selection of essential shops, open til 10pm; and some good pubs & cafes.
  • Lovely apartment, ideally located. We were very comfortable here and could have stayed longer! The view was incredible, we enjoyed watching the sun set over the sea and Cape Cornwall. It's only a few minutes walk away from a really beautiful section of the South West Coast Path, as well as easy walking distance from St Just. Thanks for having us Sally and Ian!

  • Sally made us feel very welcome by greeting us and showing us around the place. We were given a delicious arrival treat of tea and biscuits which were a pleasant surprise after a long day of driving. The area of St Just and Cape Cornwall is absolutely serene and has everything you need.

    Jason2016-08-31T00:00:00Z

    Birgit2016-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome from Sally (tea and biscuits!) and good communication throughout. Accomodation just right for one or two adults - amazing views from the apartment windows. A fabulous location for exploring West Cornwall by foot, car or public transport. Hope to return again! (nb - Sainsburys home delivery went ok)

    Mike2015-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views from this cozy flat! It is the perfect starting point for walks along the coastal paths and excursions to Lands' End, St. Ives, gorgeous Trengmainton Gardens and St. Michael's Mount. There is a lovely walk across the fields into St. Just to avoid the very narrow street. We definitely recommend Sally's flat!

  • Anna's apartment was like a home from home and we had a very comfortable stay for 5 nights. The apartment is beautifully appointed and furnished, and it is obvious that she has put a lot of thought into it. We didn't want for anything and Anna even left foodie gifts and beer and prosecco. We had really hot weather and the apartment was nice and cool (in both senses!) to return to in the afternoon/evening. It took us a while to get our bearings around St.Ives but we enjoyed taking a different route in and out of town when we had worked it all out. We picked the apartment because it was quiet and we had no problems sleeping, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The garage was an essential as there is very little on street parking, we only managed it once. The walk into town or to the beach is not very long at all. This was our first ever airbnb rental and we would highly recommend Anna's place.

  • Alison kept us in the loop the whole time in the run up to our arrival. The apartment is decorated to a high standard and located in a quiet section of town but within walking distance of St. Ives center. The town is lovely with a multitude of artist galleries. The surrounding countryside offers lots of interesting diversions and activities. Alison left a small bottle of milk in the fridge prior to our arrival that we really appreciated. Loved it and recommend it strongly.

  • We had a fantastic holiday in St Ives and the apartment was beautiful. Very clean and modern with everything you need. Anna was very helpful and friendly and it was lovely to be welcomed with strawberries and Prosecco :) The apartment is in a great location - 5mins from the nearest beach. The corner shop has everything you need and Tesco is only 10 mins away. We had a brilliant time and would highly recommend the apartment!

A cosy, bright and airy apartment in a private cul-de-sac. 1 minute walk away 3 miles of golden sand awaits you. Ideal for surf lovers, walkers, runners, kayakers, artists, adventurers. Miles of dunes to explore. South-west Coastal path passes by. A huge RSPB estuary located at Copperhouse Pool. Artists enjoy St Ives Bay (here), for the air quality is very clean which combined with shallow waters and varying temperatures create an ephermeral beauty unique to this particular area.
Furry friend are considered. I request that dog-bedding is washed and cleaned prior to arrival. I also request that dogs are dried prior to entering the property and that they do not go on any furnishings or furniture (as these are solely for the use of people). One way you are less than 5 minutes away from The Bluff Pub, with tables overlooking the bay. The other direction lies The Bucket of Blood, a fantastic 13th Century, dog-friendly pub called with great home-cooked food (phone to check if dining).
A quiet and friendly neighbourhood where the few locals get along well alongside holidaymakers.
  • A wonderful location for a relaxing beach retreat! Liz is such a kind host, flexible with check-in/check-out times, as well as adding loads of personal touches that made it really special for us! Would recommend Robbers Roost to any couple who want peace and quiet, to be near the beach (& a pub that overlooks the beach!) and have a comfortable home-from-home with everything you could possibly need! We didn’t want to leave!

    Sarah2018-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful cosy little place, in a really beautiful location close to the magnificent beach and dunes. The host made us feel very welcome, a few delicious Cornish comestibles in the fridge and even a little vase of flowers. The place was spotlessly clean and fresh and had just about everything we need. We had a really lovely time. I hope we can come back soon. Thanks Liz.

  • Thanks to Liz for a great stay. Great location, the apartment was perfect for our week in Cornwall. We felt so lucky to visit on a quiet week and virtually had the beach to ourselves! Great spot for getting to other lovely places too. We’re returning home rested, restored ... and ready for our next trip back!

    Gaynor2018-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Liz's apartment for 5 nights at the beginning of March and it was lovely. The apartment is nicely done out, has a comfy bed, is warm and cosy with all the things I needed for my stay. It is a 30 second walk to a stunning view of the cove and a very short wander from there to get onto the beach itself. I spent my stay in and around Phillack/Hayle, just wandering up and down the beach and relaxing, the beach is really really lovely. I had the misfortune of arriving the same day as the 'beast from the east' storm did and the snow had well and truly descended on Devon and Cornwall so had to abandon my car a mile away from the apartment and walk the rest of the way, but even under the cover of snow Liz's directions were perfectly clear and I found the apartment no problem. Liz was also in touch with me in advance of my journey to Cornwall to advise about the unprecedented weather, offered to help out if I got stuck, and checked I had arrived ok, which was very nice of her. Milk, bread and bits a very welcome touch! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend - thanks Liz for a relaxing break!

    Esther2018-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Liz's place was great, just the ticket. Hayle beach is literally a 2 minute walk and that's with a toddler in tow. It's 3 miles long and sand all the way, a bit windy at times but our 3 year old loved it and so did we. There's a fish and chip shop nearby (pretty good food), a well stocked shop and pub restaurant, The Bluff Inn. We dropped in on Liz at her cafe to thank her in person and she was quick to respond to messages. Thanks again Liz, may see you again next year.

    Christian2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy to deal with Liz and straight forward stay.

    Andy2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We were very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Communication was excellent. Freshly baked bread and other necessities, including tea, coffee and milk were in the apartment upon our arrival and this was a helpful touch. The apartment is exceptionally clean and uncluttered whilst offering all the amenities you could want including excellent kitchen utensils. There is a good shower and comfortable bed -we both slept really well. The apartment is in a lovely part of Cornwall and we enjoyed wonderful weather in which to walk the coast path and visit some wonderful gardens etc.

    Anna2018-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment situated about 20 seconds from Hayle Sands, which was beautiful. Everything we needed was available, with a comfy bed and good shower. Good communication from Liz before and during our stay! Great that it's dog friendly too!

Luxury, well-equipped apartment in a beautiful Victorian house, a few steps from the centre of Penzance and next to the sub-tropical Morrab Gardens. Includes free parking (for a small or medium car - the space is tricky to get in to), courtyard garden and wifi. We live in the house above so are usually around to say hi and help out with any questions - but the apartment is totally separate and private. Recently refurbished, The Secret Garden is ideal for a romantic getaway or a family break.
The Secret Garden is on the ground/lower-ground floor of a four-storey Victorian end-of-terrace house in the heart of Penzance. It is below our family home. We are just above Morrab Gardens, three minutes from the sea, and only steps away from the hustle and bustle of the centre of town. The apartment has some lovely period features and has just been completely refurbished, with a brand new kitchen (washer-dryer and dishwasher) and bathroom with underfloor heating. It is stylishly equipped to a high standard with all mod cons, and personal touches such as books, games and a selection of DVDs. LIVING ROOM Two-seater sofa bed, armchair, small dining table, two dining chairs, one stool, side tables, electric wood burner, digital TV with Freeview, DVD player, books, games, DVDs. Original timber sash window with view to garden, with wooden shutters and a window seat. Built-in cupboard. Radiator. BEDROOM King-sized bed with luxury mattress topper and four pillows, non-allergenic duvet and blanket. Bedside lamps, small wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside table, dressing table and chair, desk lamp, wall-mounted TV with built-in DVD player. Built-in cupboard with shelves. Timber sash window with view to front steps. Radiator. KITCHEN Electric cooker with grill and three-ring hob, large fridge-freezer, washer-dryer, slimline dishwasher, Bosch kettle and toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, plenty of worktop space, low-level storage cupboards, wall shelf, bread bin, chopping boards, knives, pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils, tray - basically, everything you'll need (just ask if not). Radiator. BATHROOM Corner shower, bath, WC, basin, mirror with shelf, heated towel rail, underfloor heating, extractor fan. HALLWAY Radiator, owners' store cupboard. Understairs cupboard with iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, heated plug-in drying rail, spare light bulbs, torch, travel cot, high chair, linen for sofa bed, first aid kit. GARDEN As you would expect from a terraced property in the town centre, the garden is a little overlooked. It is also adjacent to the public driveway that leads to Morrab Gardens, so you will hear people chattering as they pass, and the occasional vehicle. It is very quiet in the evenings. We provide a table and three chairs, and a metal 'shelf' for you to use with your own disposable BBQ. PARKING SPACE To get in to our parking space you will need to be confident in driving through the narrow streets in the centre of town, doing a three-point turn in the drive outside the flat, then reversing around a corner into a narrow back lane before pulling forwards into our space. It is possible for even a seven-seater or a small van to get in (but not a Range Rover or similar), but the manoeuvring can be tricky when you're not used to it, and some drivers may find it a little daunting. This is why we say the space is for small or medium sized cars only. If you wish to bring a large car, or prefer not to attempt getting in to the space, we can offer you a free pass for the secure car park that is less than five minutes walk away.
We love the historic centre of Penzance, with its pretty streets of Georgian and Victorian houses and winding walkways. You can walk everywhere within 15 minutes of the apartment - to the shops, the pubs, the cafés and restaurants, the theatre, the cinema and the iconic seawater lido, as well as the bus and train stations. The wonderful sub-tropical Morrab Gardens are - literally - on your doorstep, the promenade is three minutes walk away and the Jubilee Pool is less than ten minutes on foot. We have plenty of interesting shops, especially on next-door Chapel Street (from fashion to vintage furniture), loads of great places to eat (fine dining to cream teas) and, of course, if you want to go swimming, surfing or building sandcastles, there are loads of wonderful beaches within half an hour's drive. Please note: this is a town-centre apartment, so you will hear some of the usual noise, even though we are in a quiet, out-of-the-way spot.
  • We absolutely loved Katherine's beautiful place! This has been one of our favorite stays! We weren't lacking for anything! The two of us decided to try Katherine's place out for 3 nights, this being the longest stay at one place in our 2 week trip, and couldn't be happier with our choice! The Bathroom and Kitchen has a modern decor but the Bedroom and Lounge has the older perfect English home feel to it! Exactly how I love it! (Modern amenities with the older charm!) I decided to stay in the Lounge and used the pull out couch. This worked perfectly for us! I could close the door to give myself privacy at night while my girlfriend stayed in the Bedroom where she exclaimed that was the most comfortable bed she has ever slept in (except for hers of course!). I was surprised at how comfortable the pull out couch was as well! The Lounge did get a little cool in the evening but was easily remedied as there was an electric fireplace (I had no problem figuring out how to use) to warm up the room before snuggling up into the nice warm down comforter provided. She has really thought of everything you could need in a home away from home. We were delighted to see Croissants, Milk, Butter, and Juice available upon our arrival. We also had extra sheets, pillows and plenty of small blankets around should we have needed them. And we loved the local magazines and pamphlets on local attractions which we did look through! The location is also perfect! She is less than a 5 minute walk from the center of town with plenty of places to eat nearby and next to a beautiful garden you can stroll around in. The ONLY con I had was the parking. If you have a large vehicle such as a truck or SUV you may have to park in town nearby as her parking space is very small. However, I had a standard size car and with her help upon our arrival we were able to easily maneuver into the parking - her assistance on this also made it easy to get in and out the next couple of days. I highly recommend this as a nice quite home away from home for about 2-4 people. You will not be disappointed and she is just a phone call away should you (somehow) need anything she has not already thought of!

  • A magical location within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. A beautiful flat converted to the highest standard. The host is extremely helpful. We had a fab time!

  • Such a gorgeous place in a great location. We had a lovely time and want to return! Very clean and very well thought out apartment. Every little touch was thought about making it very homely. Thank you :)

  • We have just returned from a wonderful week in Katherine's apartment and can honestly say that it is on par with many of the luxury 5* hotels we've stayed in! Beautifully decorated, homely and relaxing. The apartment is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. We ended up cooking and eating in the apartment most nights because we felt so at home. Katherine is a brilliant host. Communication prior to our stay was regular and informative. When we arrived and met Katherine, we told her that we planned to do some long coastal walks. She subsequently went out to purchase some brilliant walking guide books for the apartment! The apartment is located in central Penzance within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the seafront. Yet we found it to be so peaceful. Highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a home away from home and a good base from which to explore Cornwall.

  • Katherines flat is fantastic, handily located in the centre of town but within a quiet neighborhood. Every small touch is well thought through with beautiful decor and period features. We both had a great relaxing weekend in Pz, it was a pleasure to stay at the Secret Garden, thanks Katherine for all your help and hospitality

Dear Katherine, my English is not good enough to tell everything I'd like to. We loved our stay. Thank you very much!

  • 'The Secret Garden' was a great find and a perfect base from which to explore this part of Cornwall. The house is located right in the centre of Penzance, and is really close to shops and places to eat out. The parking space, as mentioned in the description as well as by other guests, is challenging at first, but it gets easier once you have done it a couple of times. We absolutely loved the house, as it was cosy, homely and had everything we could wish for. The kitchen was well-equipped, so that we ended up eating in almost all of the time, and there was a good collection of DVDs, books and board games to keep us entertained on a rainy evening. There were lots of lovely touches all over the house, such as the croissants, milk and juice left for us on arrival, while the digital radio and the Nespresso machine in the kitchen made it really feel like home. The bathroom was almost like a luxury hotel bathroom - with a beautifully powerful shower! Katherine was an excellent host, so welcoming and helpful. We had a fantastic time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

It's also only a 5 minute walk into Penzance town centre with lots of good shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. We didn't need to use our car the whole week we were there.

Light, bright & fresh, with beautiful views over Porthmeor Beach. 22 The Meadow is the perfect base from which to explore the best of St.Ives - including The Tate Gallery, Porthmeor Beach Cafe and St.Ives Surf School, all just a few sandy steps from your front door.
22 The Meadow is a first floor apartment situated near Porthmeor Beach in St.Ives. Porthmeor is one of the finest beaches in Cornwall, renowned for its beautiful sunsets and great surfing and the Tate Gallery is our neighbour. Its location gives you easy access to all the other lovely local beaches, restaurants, bars & shops within the town. The apartment benefits from a great little outside space that is shared with our neighbours downstairs. There is a decked area with a table and benches, perfect for your morning coffee or a cold beer as the sun goes down..! Plus an outside shower for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The property is accessed up a flight of stairs on the first floor which gives you great sea views over the roof tops. There is a small hallway that leads off to the bathroom, which has a bath with an electric shower. Guest towels are provided. In the lounge / living room the dining table sits neatly in the corner leading to a fully equipped galley style kitchen. There is also a blue tooth speaker for you to connect to, so you can play your own tunes. We supply complimentary tea, coffee & sugar. Off the lounge is a double bedroom with built in wardrobe.
St.Ives is famous for many things: art, surfing, fishing and most of all, its clear blue sea and golden beaches, which stretch round the bay for miles. Rich in culture and history, it's home to an array of galleries, from the Tate to Barbara Hepworth's perfectly preserved museum and garden to contemporary collections at The New Craftsman, The Belgrave and the Plumbline. If you are feeling energetic make the most of the outdoors with surfing, stand-up paddle boarding and kayaking ( lessons and board hire are available on Porthmeor Beach just a stones throw away ) or hike your way along the striking coastline to the pretty village of Zennor, where you can reward yourself with lunch at The Gurnards head. Alternatively just take a stroll around 'The Island' where you may catch a glimpse of the seals & dolphins. St.Ives has a thriving food scene, whether you're looking for simple fish and chips done well ( Try Harbour Fish and Chips ) or creative modern cooking, which can be found at the award winning Porthminster Beach Cafe, or its sister restaurant Porthminster Kitchen on the harbour front. There is also Porthmeor beach Cafe Bar, great for breakfast or evening tapas, The Seafood Cafe, Porthgwidden Beach Cafe and Caffe Pasta, to name but a few. If you want to venture further afield, The Eden Project or The Minack Theatre, and St Michael's Mount on the south coast are must sees, or head to Tremanere sculpture garden, Trebah or The Lost Gardens of Heligan to experience the beautiful sub-tropical planting that's unique to this part of Cornwall.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Amanda's. We even felt that the flat was better than the pictures. As described, it wa close to the beach at the same time accessible to restaurants, cafés and bars. The flat had all the amenities required and was located in a quiet neighbourhood. Even though the weather at the time wasn't preferable, having such an amazing flat compensated well for it. We truly loved it and would definitely recommend this place.

    Mathew2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • I had an amazing and very relaxing stay in this flat. Everything I needed was there for me including a bottle of wine. It's so close to the beach and the view was a joy to wake up to.

    Simon2016-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amanda's apartment was clean, tidy and situated in the perfect location. The apartment had everything we needed and was perfect for a couple. We really enjoyed our stay and would look to come again. Amanda's communication was excellent prior to our arrival.

    Hannah2016-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great little flat in a wonderful location. You do, as advised, have sea views from the front room so can watch the tides changing throughout the day. The flat has everything needed for your stay - we cooked several meals. As others have noted, the easiest way to get your belongings to the flat is to park (illegally! so keep someone with the car) by the Tate and run your stuff up from there. Afterwards, use the long stay car parks.

    Siobhan2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our short stay at 22 The Meadow. The flat was excellently located and we enjoyed a wonderful view out to the sea. Everything was exactly as described and we had everything we needed for our trip. The flat was very clean and welcoming. We would recommend this place to anyone considering a stay in St. Ives.

    Steve2016-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a blissful stay at Amanda's flat. The perfect base to a holiday in St Ives, right next to the Tate and a very short walk to Porthmeor beach. The flat itself is light, bright and tranquil, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was very well equippe and the bed was extremely comfortable; always important to me! Amanda's communication was great and she was very understanding when I - frazzled from a very long drive - rang for final directions. We really hope to be back for another stay, we couldn't fault it.

    Jane2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fab apartment that is light bright and as described. 21 easy steps up means you have a bird's eye view to the sea. The courtyard opens on to Tate's access way which is the easy route to the beach. Lovely quiet spot, unaware of neighbours. We cooked at home each evening kitchen well equipped including chopping boards and knives. Comfortable bed, heating and ventilation are easy to control. We were so pleased to have stayed here to walk from Porthtowan to Zennor. dear

  • We were pleasantly surprised to find that Jane had provided us with the essentials for a couple of breakfasts and the most delicious shortbread ever!! Joan's annex was very clean and great if you wanted a couple of nights in Falmouth. We made great use of the local cafes and restaurants in the town, which was a short, easy walk from the house. Falmouth and it surrounding villages are very picturesque. Well worth the visit

My place is close to art and culture, great views, restaurants and dining, the beach, and family-friendly activities. You’ll love my place because of the neighbourhood, the comfy bed, and the kitchen. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and 1 furry friend.
Situated in a peaceful Cornish village, Little Anvil occupies a central position (both the north and south coast are within easy reach) ideal for exploring beautiful West Cornwall. A newly converted first-floor apartment which forms part of the owners 18th century cottage, one of the oldest in the village. With its own private entrance, the apartment is full of character, with luxurious touches and modern appliances - a welcoming and comfortable place to return to after your day out. In addition to this we are next door to the village pub, where you can relax with a drink in the beer garden, have a meal or chat with locals. The pub also has a small shop for essential supplies. The open plan living/kitchen area is well equipped with a large flat screen, Smart TV for relaxing in the evening, plus a Bluetooth speaker for your music and free wi-fi. If you like to cook the kitchen/dining area facilities include an induction hob, full size oven, large fridge-freezer and dishwasher. There is also a washer-dryer should you need it, and heating for the colder months. The bedroom is decorated in a relaxing French style with a king-size bed, luxurious linen, and an en-suite shower room. If you are bringing your dog with you there is an enclosed outdoor courtyard area for convenience, which also has a covered storage area for bicycles/kayak. The nearest town is the historic market town of Helston (4 miles), famous for its Spring celebration - Flora Day. The thriving and pretty coastal town of Falmouth is a short drive (for visitors to the University campus, it is only a 10min drive) and the beautiful port of Porthleven with its many fine restaurants is also within a 15-20minute drive. Nearby is the stunning coastline of The Lizard Peninsula, or you could travel towards the evocative and mysterious landscape of West Penwith, stopping to visit St Michaels Mount on your way to unforgettable St Ives and beyond. West Cornwall has so many stunning places to visit, that we hope you will want to return time and again.
Why visit West Cornwall? A large part the peninsula here was once an island, and even though nowadays joined to the mainland, a feeling of individuality remains. Heathland covers the granite outcrops and the area is scattered with remnants of an incredibly ancient heritage. As you slip off the edge of the map into rocky gorges where tiny fishing villages face a wild ocean it’s as if you have slipped off the edge of time where Cornwall reveals its most individual and captivating side. You'll find: Long stretches of golden sand Inspiring artists colonies Smugglers coves Historic mining settlements Surf spots Boat trips Harbour towns Ancient stone circles and Iron Age villages St Michael's Mount Lizard Peninsula Minack Theatre Land's End Places to visit include: St Ives, Hayle, Zennor, St Just, Cape Cornwall, Land's End, Sennen, Porthcurno, Penzance, Mousehole, Marazion, Helston, Lizard Point, Praa Sands, Porthleven, Mullion, Kynance Cove, Podhu Cove, Cadgwith, Coverack, St Keverne and The Helford River.

    Holger2018-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. There were little touches that made us feel welcome. This is an ideal location to get to all of West Cornwall and is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet base for a break away from it all. Lori and Tim made us very welcome and are excellent hosts. The separate entrance to the apartment also means that it is easy to come and go as you please.

    Matthew2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Little Anvil was the perfect cottage for our stay in Cornwall. It was very private and quaint. The roads getting there were a little scary (tight) for someone not used to driving in the area, but it was worth the ride. The house manual had everything we needed to plan our stay. We drove to St. Erth Station and took the train to St. Ives. We also got to visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. We hope to return again.

    Daniel2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • After four months of travelling this is the best air bnb property we have stayed at . Nestled in a small village yet next door to a fantastic pub, it is close to many of Cornwall's best beaches. The apartment itself was extremely comfortable with everything as advertised . Even though the washing machine had been damaged by the previous guest, Lori kindly offered to do our laundry (and also offered a top sheet as the weather was so warm we preferred to do without the duvet) Check in was seamless, the whole stay was delightful. Wish we could return soon but can happily recommend.

    Patricia2018-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for accommodation for two and a four legged friend, that is REALLY well-equipped, beautifully finished, with all that you need to enjoy your stay, that is owned and run by a lovely couple, then stop looking......you've found it!! We will certainly stay again, if and when we can!

    Stephen2017-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little secluded apartment. Central location in Cornwall means you won't be in the car for much longer than an hour. Plenty of footpaths and byways to walk to dogs too. The Star Inn in definitely worth a visit too. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating.

    Nathaniel2017-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and clean, you could quite happily spend all your time there if the weather was too bad to venture out, location wise it's great you don't have to travel far to get anywhere, it's the best of both, if you don't want to travel everything you need is close , if you like to venture further away little anvil is an amazing home to return to.

    David2017-10-04T00:00:00Z

The apartment has windows on three sides. The sun rises in the living room, and sets on the landing, so you have light all day. The living room has a ten-foot window seat with views out across St Ives Bay, towards the Godrevy Lighthouse. It is a great place to sit and chill after a day walking the coastal path, surfing, or swimming in the sea, which is warmed, on Porthgwidden Beach, by the Gulf Stream. If the dolphins are around, you will have a great view from the window seat!
As a writer, the apartment is my perfect (website hidden) Ives is inspirational - whether you are a walker, art enthusiast, gourmet, painter, potter or sun worshipper. Its clean air and wonderful light will re-charge your batteries and you may never want to leave!
  • Zelah Studio is an absolute gem, perfect for a couples getaway. My boyfriend and I spent our 5th anniversary there, our first time in St Ives, and everything about it was perfect. Glorious views from the apartment, gorgeously furnished with local art and all the bits and pieces you need to make your stay comfortable. Lynda a wonderful host giving us the perfect tips to get the most out of our time there. 5 min easy stroll into the harbour, with Porthgwidden beach right on your doorstep. Parking a bit of a challenge but with a bit of patience (and luck!) we got there in the end. Would encourage anyone considering staying here to just book straight away. We will almost certainly be back!

  • Zelah Studio was a beautiful place to stay for our week in St Ives. The studio was exactly as described and a stones throw from our two favourite beaches. Lynda was a great host who provided lots of information beforehand and was contactable throughout our stay if we needed it. I don't think I'll forget the view from the studio in a hurry! Thanks for a fantastic experience!

  • Lynda's sea view penthouse stands out from the crowd because of its large window view of the ocean and loft bedroom in the pitched roof overlooking the open plan layout below. However there is much more to the experience of Lynda's hosting, from the homely vibes created in the lounge area to the stocked food cupboards with all the necessities for home cooking. Even a nice bottle of wine and fresh bread, cheese and scones waiting for us upon arrival. If you have any questions, Lynda is lightening quick at responding with answers and advice, making us feel right at home from beginning to end. We look forward to visiting again in future!

  • This apartment now has a special place in our hearts. We knew it was close to the beach but we didn't realise how close! It is a stones throw/ 10 second walk and with incredible views. Fabulous eats nearby and the apartment itself is well stocked and with a great bathroom. The directions and check in/out details were easy and accurate. We will miss this place loads! • Thank you Lynda, i very much enjoyed my stay in your delightful apartment, beautiful views of the rising sun, fully equiped and tastefully artistic. And very central without being disturbed by midnight revellers.

  • We had a great time at Lyndas "Zelah Studio". The apartment is equipped with everything you might need and is has the feel of a real home rather than an apartment for rent - it is like staying at a friend's place. The location is brilliant as well: centrally located, but still very quiet. And on top of that you get a splendid view of the sea. During our time at Zelah Studio we had mostly bright days, ideal for exploring Cornwall, but also a few rainy days when the apartment was perfect for lounging on the sofas, reading a book and enjoying the view. If you are coming by car, we recommend to buy a "rover ticket" online, which lets you park in almost all long stay car parks in the county (e.g Island and Barnoon in St. Ives): Lynda herself made arriving very easy and provided warm welcome with the fridge well stuffed. For questions she was always available and quick to answer. We would come to Zelah Studio again!
