Aquarium
“The Aquarium is situated within the 130-year-old fort “Verudela”, once part of the powerful defence complex “Fortress Pula” built during the rule of the Austro-Hungarian Dual Monarchy. The historical fort is nowadays inhabited by hundreds of fish species from the northern and the southern portions of the Adriatic and several tropical marine and fresh water species, as well as fish from Croatian lakes and rivers. History Museum
“The Temple of Augustus (Croatian: Augustov hram) is a well-preserved.Roman temple in the city of Pula, Croatia (known in Roman times as Pola). Dedicated to the first Roman emperor, Augustus, it was probably built during the emperor's lifetime at some point between 27 BC and his death in AD 14.It was built on a podium with a tetrastyle prostyle porch of Corinthian columns and measures about 8 by 17.3 m (26 by 57 ft), and 14 m (46 ft) high. The richly decorated frieze is similar to that of a somewhat larger and more recent temple, the Maison Carrée in Nîmes, France. These two temples are considered the two best complete Roman monuments outside Italy.”

Restaurant italien
“Coup de coeur été 2017 ! Excellent restaurant un tantinet confidentiel, peu de tables (il vaut mieux réserver à l'avance). L'endroit ne paie pas de mine mais il ne faut pas se laisser décourager car on y mange très, très bien ! poisson et fruits de mer frais et de qualité. Le service est à la hauteur de la qualité globale. A découvrir absolument : l'assortiment de fruits de mer en entrée et/ou le risotto de la mer.”
