“The most diverse of the National Parks in the USA. We highly recommend that you start your visit at the Visitors Center on Race Street/Mount Angeles Road. The rangers can provide and overview of the Park, as well as current information on road and trail conditions, and tides.”

“Beautiful trails through the woods with large trees and unique growth to check out. Be ready to pay the fee to get in though as it's not free. They have annual passes as well which are definitely worth it for seniors and the pass gets the whole car full inside.”

“If you're thirsty and you're in the mood for pub grub, this is the best place to go on the Olympic Peninsula. The food is excellent and they have several rotating taps offering craft beers, ales, and hard ciders from all around the Pacific Northwest. They are open late, but expect a wait. The wait is worth it.”

“Salt Creek Recreation Area is a 196-acre park located about 15 miles west of Port Angeles, Washington on U.S. Route 101 near the city of Joyce, Washington. The park was previously Camp Hayden, a World War II military camp built 1942-1945. It was purchased by the Federal General Services Administration after the war. ”

“Fort Worden is right in the City of Port Townsend. A wonderful beach, a marine science center, hiking trails, campground, conference center, host to music festivals through Centrum and much more. My favorite place to walk. If you don't have a State Park Pass, you can park for free in front of the large grassy area at the entrance. ”

“One of the most interesting natural features on the Olympic Peninsula. A nice drive and a great daytrip. The trail down to the spit is paved and stroller friendly, the last 400 feet or so are quite steep however. Great exhibits, reasonable cost to visit (approx. $3 per family), and a wonderful beach with views of the Olympics, Mount Baker, and Canada. I would reccommend grabbing snacks and sandwiches from Rainshadow Cafe and enjoying a lovely picnic on the Spit. ”

Indie Movie Theater
“If you are in the mood for a movie, this is the place. It also has AWESOME popcorn with a variety of toppings available. (You can just go in and buy the popcorn, if you want and there is not a crowd in the lobby.) Lots of interesting special showings on the weekend, including old movies and plays.”
