“Walk down to the beach and all the way to the end... past the children's playground towards the shrub forest and you will find a flat walking path that goes for km's around the basin. It's not a loop so turn back at any time. It's a beautifully peaceful walk at any time of day and throughout the year but a chilly winter sunset is breathtaking once you've walked about 1.5km through the forest to the flat grounds where there are occasional viewing and rest benches along the way. ”

“This is only a 5 minute drive from our place and the closest place for groceries. It opens quite early and doesn't close until about 7PM. Head back out to Sussex Inlet Rd turn right and stay on it until you come into the town of Sussex. There's a bottle shop next door as well.”

“Booderee Botanic Gardens are the only Aboriginal-owned botanic gardens in Australia. Here visitors can learn about bush tucker and medicinal uses of plants and the long association that Koori people have with the area and the plants of south eastern Australia. Enjoy the peaceful setting of the Gardens by relaxing on the grass lawns, or using the picnic tables provided. At the Scribbly Lawn, electric barbecues and a sheltered picnic area are available for large groups or wet weather use. There are a number of beautiful walking trails through the Botanic Gardens and it is an excellent place to observe birds and other animals.”

“Cave Beach is on the southern side of Booderee National Park. There is often good surf and big swell so the nearby campground attracts keen surfers and families who like the choice of the various surf and bay beaches that Booderee offers. It is also a fantastic spot to camp to see native Australian wildlife.”
