“Get driving directions to Camp Misery trailhead off Jewel Basin Road and spend the day in scenery that just about equals Glacier National Park! For me, I prefer the Jewel for the less traveled aspect - you can be hiking and be ALONE on the trail for long periods of time! Mt. Aeneas is about a 6 mile round trip not for the faint of heart (or lungs), with an option to dump off the top down to Picnic Lakes and return via that loop. An easier 6 miles would be to Birch Lake for fishing and swimming. Not as much elevation gain and a great way to blow the day! Bears are there - I've not ever seen one on all my hikes in that area. You will see mountain goats year 'round on Aeneas and in early summer at Birch Lake. Google a map of Jewel Basin, look for Camp Misery trailhead. The upper road and parking area are often CLOSED due to snow until late May, but you could always snowshoe!”

“Probably our favorite activity in Bigfork, and such a local landmark. I think it's nearing 60 years of continuous shows. The group is staffed by college kids from around the country who are theatre majors at their college. The put on about 5 shows a summer, rotating each night so you can catch a couple during a week. We love this so much and see at least 3 a summer.”

“The Conrad Mansion Museum is located in Kalispell's east side residential area atop a bluff overlooking the valley and the Swan mountain range. The home sits on three landscaped acres, surrounded by a dry stone fence with iron gates. Six large annual flower beds and extensive ever-blooming perennial beds provide constant color during the summer season, with pruned hedges, evergreens, and spacious lawns serving as a lush background. The Conrad Mansion Museum aims to preserve and exhibit the 1895 Charles Conrad Family Estate through public tours, educational programs, and community events.”

“This is our FAVORITE beer stop. Not only is their Cloudcroft IPA one of my favorite all time beers, but the vibe is great there. They usually have a food truck parked outside though my favorite part is that they let you bring your own food! We love to pack a picnic spread and sit up on the patio in the summer.”
