  • Formidable!

  • We were warmly welcomed by Annie and Mike and enjoyed their company and hospitality. The room was comfortable and quiet in a lovely village setting.

  • We had a lovely three-day stay with Annie and Mike. It's an old farmhouse in a beautiful Cotswold village - flagstone floors and tastefully decorated. Our bedroom was up two flights of stairs and was large with a comfortable double bed, plenty of space for clothes, and modern linen. The bathroom was across a landing - also roomy with modern fittings and, although it doesn't have a shower, I was offered the use of the family bathroom one flight of stairs down which was fine for me. Although we hadn't asked beforehand wifi is available which was really useful for us. The breakfasts, in the large kitchen, were just great - fruit juice, selection of cereals, fruit salad, yoghurts, breads and toast. Cooked breakfasts were also offered but we only took up the offer (perfect scrambled eggs) on one day. Annie and Mike were delightful hosts and were happy to chat or leave us to our own devices. All in all we would highly recommend a stay here.

  • Ticked every box! Charming hosts - nothing was too much trouble, including directions to my appointment the following day ... Thank you Annie

  • We had a wonderful stay at Annie's beautiful house and my 3 year old particularly enjoyed feeding the sheep in the field behind. Annie's breakfast in the garden was delightful. I would highly recommend staying here. Annie was very friendly and helpful.

  • Linda and James were exceedingly welcoming. The communication was excellent, we felt at home immediately upon arrival and it was like staying with friends, not at all like an impersonal hotel. Linda even arranged a booking at a local restaurant so that we didn't have to worry about finding somewhere to feed the kids. Excellent hosts, lovely house, we'd highly recommend.

    adam2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Linda thank you for being so accommodating to all 3 generations who stayed every detail was looked after.

  • Linda’s house is beautiful and feels like a home away from home. Linda was very prompt to reply and accommodated us coming in late after a wedding. She made us breakfast which was a lovely and most welcome surprise and gave us a good taxi recommendation for the end of the night. The house is about 20mins from Lemmington Spa. I highly recommend and am very grateful.

  • We have just returned from a short break away visiting family and stayed at the lovely Lockwood House. Linda was a wonderful host, from the moment of arrival to our departure. The house was excellently presented with everything we required for myself, husband and two young children. We would definitely stay again, and we wish to thank them for their hospitality.

    Angela2017-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was a lovely host, felt very welcome in her home and she looked after me very well whilst giving me space because I was exhausted! Will definitely return if I need accommodation in that area.

  • The Manor Lodge was the last ten days of our three month exploration of the UK and was exactly what we needed! The flat is roomy enough for myself, an energetic 4yr old and my mum. Beautifully decorated, it has everything you need to stay comfortably, from comfy beds and extra bathroom, to washing machine/dryer and dishwasher. We enjoyed sitting in the sun in our patio area for breakfast, wandering into town (literally a minute walk) for groceries, or walking to the local farm to pick our own fruit/veges. The host family were all lovely and very accomodating, it really felt like a home-away-from-home. One of my son's favourite spots from our whole trip! Thanks again Debbie, Callum and Gyp :)

    Lea2017-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house was clean, comfortable and perfect for our business trip accommodation. Would recommend.

    JAMES2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean place, very comfortable. We really only used it for breakfast & sleeping because we were out & about alot, but it suited us perfectly. The village fish & chip shop is recommended, & there's a shop just round the corner, plus 2 pubs. A great place to stay.

    Jo2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location - 20 minutes to Stratford on Avon, and close to a number of National Trust properties. Very quiet place, and very clean.

    Chris2017-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time in the beautiful village of Kinston. Debbie was a very attentive host and happy to answer any questions. Check-in/out was straightforward and we had no problems during our stay. The house was immaculate and very pleasantly decorated. We would be happy to stay here again.

A bright double room with en-suite shower room in this quiet no through road in Kineton. If your party is more than 2 look at my other listing to book up to 3 more bed spaces.
A comfortable bed, tea and coffee available in the room with home made cake or biscuits.
Kineton is a friendly village with an excellent Indian restaurant just round the corner, and good pubs a short drive away. Our road is very quiet, you are more likely to hear birds than cars! There is a nearby riverside walk to the ancient remains of King John's castle.
  • Linda welcomed us with homemade flapjacks and tea in her beautiful garden, despite our booking at very short notice and arriving earlier than expected. She was thoughtful and easy to talk to and great with my four year old daughter. The house is a homely and elegant place to stay in a peaceful village with a great flower shop. We had everything we wanted to make our stay happy and comfortable.

    Dilly2016-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Linda and James were perfect hosts. The room and en-suite were beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. I was welcomed by Linda with tea, biscuits and a chat. Breakfast was first rate. I would definitely recommend that you stay with Linda if you are in the area. There can be no finer recommendation than I'm staying again next week. :)

    Lisa2017-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Linda was the perfect host, lovely house, spotless. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else.

  • Jenny and I had a lovely stay with Linda and James as a stop over on our way to Frome. Only wish is that we could have stayed longer to enjoy the lovely area. They were both very welcoming and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking to stay.

  • Linda's house is a very welcoming place. She knows how to receive guests, and she's got lots of taste. She made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. Lots of little attentions, like tea and home made cakes served by her fire place. This really made the difference. Breakfast options were great, lots of choice , all served in a beautiful room. We had a bedroom with an en suite bathroom which was just what we needed. Linda also rent two other rooms on the same floor and have her own space on the floor above the rooms, but we could still have our privacy. A very good deal!

    Diana2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location away from the road. Very comfortable bed and room

    David2017-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Linda's. She has thought of everything and all the little touches made it feel so homely. The breakfast was great too! I would definitely recommend.

Farthings Cottage is a little hideaway in our garden close to our house but with a feeling of privacy. We live in the southern part of Warwickshire and whilst easy access to Stratford on Avon, Warwick and the Cotswolds, we are nestled away in our 26 acres of horse fields and forest. As well as two children there is also one rather shy cat and three friendly horses.
Farthings Cottage is a charming and welcoming little space perfect for a hideaway time with nature and wildlife on your doorstep. Though quaint and secluded there is also fast internet and central heating as well as a good shower and a fully equipped cottage kitchen but no microwave oven.
We live in the Warwickshire countryside and though secluded have easy access to Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick and the Cotswolds as well as being approx 36 miles from Birmingham. It is a thriving countryside full of gastro pubs, National Trust Homes and general activities.
  • Mia has a beautiful place, and her attention to detail is great. Better than that, even, is her great communication, hospitality (provided food in the fridge, just in case I was hungry when I arrived), and friendliness. I recommend this place 100%.

    Per2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely 1 night stay in this very well-decorated cottage. The surrounding area is great - lots of horses, countryside etc. Mia was an excellent host, ensuring that we had everything we needed but also let us enjoy a peaceful time uninterrupted. Many thanks!

    Ben2017-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous small cottage in a beautiful location. Full of character. Lovely hosts too. Very helpful.

    Alan2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a fantastic few days at this delightful cottage. It was well equipped and had everything we could ask for , including a fantastic shower something which we are very particular about. It has tranquil surroundings , including lovely outdoor table and chairs to enjoy morning breakfast and long summer evenings. It has excellent parking facilities. Mia and Mark are a lovely couple who were ready to help if we needed anything. We will definitely be returning to this absolutely delightful cottage , which is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of today's modern life . An all rounder 5 *.

    Gillian2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beautiful and exactly as described/shown in the pictures. Mia's directions were easily to follow from the motorway which was great as it was dark when we arrived after a long journey. The location was great as it was accessible by car however felt completely quiet and rural - we had a fab night's sleep. The sun was shining in the morning so we enjoyed some tea and toast at the little table outside in the garden - bliss! Sad we only stayed one night. I would definitely recommend :)

    Fiona2017-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is just as cute as it looks in the pictures - homely, comfortable, clean and decorated to suit the countryside location. Mia was a great host, very friendly and helpful, but also left us to get on with it. Highly recommend for a peaceful, relaxing break away from it all.

    Tallulah2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • The photos (as lovely as they are!) do not do this gorgeous accommodation justice - it’s beyond stunning in the flesh. We loved going for a walk through the woods and meeting the resident horses. Mia was very kind and generous with her time. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very warm and cosy. Wish we could have stayed a month!

The house is situated in open countryside approximately 7 miles from Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa. It is very quiet and peaceful. Your hosts are Deborah and Simon. We can accommodate 4 guests. Continental breakfast is included. Cooked breakfasts are £8 per head extra.
This is a really peaceful and comfortable house, traditionally furnished and with all mod cons! You have the choice of a double or twin room or both if more than 2 people. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom.
We have great views of glorious Warwickshire countryside, yet are very close to Stratford upon Avon, Warwick and Leamington Spa.
  • If you want to feel special book this property. The interiors are just as jaw dropping as the exterior. Tastefully furnished with period pieces throughout. The bed linens the crockery are all of a very high quality. The cooked breakfast was amazing, I was still too full for lunch. ( except for half a piece of cake with good lady wife :0) ) Simon and Deborah were very welcoming and attentive. it seemed as nothing was too much trouble for them. I wish we could have stayed longer.

  • Simon and Deborah are fantastic Airbnb hosts. Though most of the evening we spent out having dinner, we got the chance to have a lovely chat with them afterwards in their beautiful kept garden. They were warm and hospitable throughout our stay. The room has a modern, clean ensuite and the beds were very comfy. It was a great way to round off our mini road trip around the UK. PS Simon cooks a fab fry up. I'd definitely recommend it.

Perfect night.

Amanda and Roy have made every effort to think of all the necessities you could need from hairdryers to cooking equipment, everything is there. • This was a sanctuary, right in the middle of a working farm. Lovely views and sunsets - friendly chickens - and great hosts.

  • Amazing, comfortable and immaculate accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Amanda provided a lovely warm and friendly welcome when I arrived. The location is very easy to reach and the surroundings is very quiet. I would highly recommend Amanda's place - and I hope I am lucky enough to return in the near future. A* rating

  • Amanda’s place was perfect for us in a country setting but close to many places. It is clean, well equipped, with good use of space. Amanda was happy to help and suggest places of interest. Lovely host and place and if ever in the area again would certainly book again. Jo

Lovely one bedroom Annexe with own kitchen, sitting room and dining area. French doors lead out to a stunning garden and a tennis court, which guests are welcome to use. We are situated at the end of the village with wonderful countryside views. The renowned village pub, The Peacock, is within a 5 minute stroll and the famous town of Stratford-on-Avon is a 15minute drive, as well as various National Trust sites, the Gaydon Motor Heritage Centre and much more!
The Annexe offers cosy, self-catering accommodation. Whether you plan on visiting the many nearby tourist attractions, or wish to kick-back and relax with perhaps the odd country walk or game of tennis thrown in, you will be made to feel extremely welcome.
  • Lovely annexe in great location. Hosts gave me all the info I needed, and left me to it, whilst reassuring me if I ever needed anything, to just ask. I used the annexe as an alternative to the soulless hotel room, as I had to be in the area for work. So glad I did, and if I ever need to return to the area, will be looking to book this place again. Oh, and the WiFi worries are completely unfounded, it was great, hell of a lot better than I have at home!

  • This was a really great experience. Gemma is super friendly, communicative, and a pleasure to deal with. The Annexe is the kind of place you'd rather not leave. It's beautiful, comfortable and a real sanctuary. 100%recommended

  • This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Annexe & would stay again. It is a comfortable, homely flat and working away from home nice to have a fully equipped kitchen. It is quiet & private & looks onto a lovely garden with tennis court & fields in the distance. Gemma is a friendly & responsive host and a pleasure to deal with. A relatively short drive to all the Warwickshire sites & centres.

  • Particularly beautiful garden... tennis court at the back... you can watch the sun set from the back of the garden where it meets the fields... As a nature lover this is wonderful. The annex itself is a lovely spacious self contained unit with very comfy bed - loved it! Our hosts were warm and friendly people who offered their advice and local knowledge. Very nice village pub nearby. Overall a very pleasant getaway!

  • Michael is a very good host and very enterprising to have taken on a crumbling but beautiful large farmhouse and renting out rooms affordably to meet a local need for affordable rooms for contractors and tired distance workers attending meetings. He was helpful about local info and met me in person at check in. The bed was perfectly comfortable and he had cleaned everything very well.

Our 18th century village cottage on the edge of the Cotswolds ANOB is a good base for exploring the North Cotswolds and Shakespeare country. Tysoe is a peaceful village, within 20 - 30 minutes of Stratford-on-Avon, Warwick, Moreton-in-Marsh, Chipping Campden, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Leamington Spa. Oxford in under an hour. Close by is the stunning art gallery at Compton Verney and Upton House (National Trust). JLR Gaydon is under 10 miles.
Our guest accommodation is light, quiet, spacious and separate from the main part of the house, overlooking our peaceful garden. Your own staircase leads to a large room with a private bathroom with shower, and is well furnished, including a comfortable double bed, a futon sofa, a TV with HD and Freeview, WiFi and ample storage. We also provide tea, coffee and fresh milk, plus local guides and maps. Breakfast is in our large country kitchen, warmed by the Aga, or if you prefer, in the garden on sunny days.
Tysoe is a thriving community and local amenities include a well-stocked village shop, a popular tea room, a Post Office/gift shop and a pub, and there are other good places to eat within easy reach. The area is steeped in history and is excellent walking country too if you prefer to abandon your car.
  • This home is a perfect stay for your trip in Cotswold. It’s a short drive from the major villages that you would want to visit. We drove in from Stratford-upon-Avon after catching a show at Royal Shakespeare Theatre, and it was just a short 25 min drive to check in to their home. Other villages that we visited like Broadway and Chipping Camden were about 30 min away. The room looks exactly like in the photos and the bedding deserves special mention. It’s definitely hotel standard. For us, it was much better than a hotel because of Bridget’s warm hospitality. She cooked us an awesome breakfast spread which is plenty even for my husband who is a big eater. I’m especially impressed with the homemade blackcurrent jam that Bridget made herself. She even prepared tea, coffee and snacks in the room, so we were all comfy when we arrived. Toiletries are well stocked and the toilet is very clean. We are also thankful that they spent time talking to us and recommended interesting places to go to. We had a delightful dinner at The Rose and Crown pub recommended by Bridget. We are animal lovers, so we welcomed the company of the spaniels and the cat (they are absolutely adorable and gentle) but if you aren’t, the pets definitely stay out of your way, so don’t worry at all. We will be back!

  • My Mum and Mick had a lovely weekend at Bridget and Digby’s beautiful home and were made to feel very welcome. The bedroom and bathroom was beautifully decorated and gave them plenty of space. The house is located in a nice small quite village which was in easy reach of the Cotswold countryside. They had a delightful breakfast where Bridget produced her homemade preserves and garden grown fruit and not forgetting the scrumptious flapjacks which set them up for the day, this was served in the main part of the house which had a large AGA cooker as the centrepiece. I would highly recommend their home as a excellent place to stay.

  • By far one of the best BnB stays we have had on our trip. It's cosy, homely and warm. This house is an actual a 'traditional & historic' house with tastefully redesigned interiors...And....Bridget aunty and Digby uncle are the sweetest hosts ever. The touches they have made in the room are beautiful infact its more like a private apartment than a private room due to a separate entrance they've provided. If you have time then there are interesting books to read as well. Mornings are made great with conversations and yummy eggs along with fresh coffee, juice and more... most of which is made by Bridget aunty herself... With great suggestions of best places to eat nearby and what plays to watch in Stratford (i.e. less than 25 minutes drive away) I think we were lucky to have found this place on Airbnb. if you have found too on your dates....i would highly recommend to book it...without worry! cheers

  • First class B&B. Lovely friendly hosts. Excellent breakfast. Spotlessly clean. Couldn't find fault with anything.

    Teresa2017-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Right in the heart of the village, the room is self contained with a fabulous bathroom and very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities are between the bathroom anf bedroom..there is room to sit and a hair dryer tucked away. Breakfast in the morning was gorgeous... we opted for bacon with scrambled eggs and baked tomatoes with brown toast made from Bridget's home made bread. Then more toast with home made jam and marmalade, all washed down with loads of tea, whilst reading Digby's paper.... you will love it here....

  • A truly tremendous find. Absolute fabulous stay in a magnificently kept house. Room is very large & spacious, the on suite is massive & all up the facilities are spot on. Spotless condition.
