This is a traditional newly renovated, Louisville style "shotgun house" which means the house flows from front to back. Located on an end street that reminds you of an "alley" in New Orleans, this home is walkable to over 25 locally owned (and outstanding) restaurants, as well as about a dozen small shops. Close to CASINO. * SAVE 8.5% No taxes added here by Airbnb which they are now doing in Louisville! Add those savings to my best in the metro rates and you'll love the value/experience.
Neutral tones, newly renovated throughout including bathroom, and DELUXE brand new full size stacking Samsung washer/dryers.
A very safe urban neighborhood only 10 minutes to downtown Louisville. It is walkable to 25 bars and restaurants and two of the cuter boutiques in the metro area, Him, and Dress and Dwell, are nearby. On Main Street New Albany, mansion row has been restored so you can see the old homes of bourbon magnates and riverboat captains. There is a nice wedding event venue there called Pepin Mansion. Hull and Highwater is one of the better mid range seafood places around.
  • A holiday at Louisville!! This is a wonderful place to stay. Nick is a cool host, who’s very familiar about the area and the events happening in the town, he informed us about the fireworks event during our stay. The house is exactly as described well furnished, clean with everything you need. The house is a perfect place to stay as it is just 15 mins drive to downtown Louisville and 10 mins drive to Walmart. Now as for the neighborhood the people are friendly and helpful. We will be back next time we’re in the area. Thank you again Nick!!!

  • First time trying a air bnb and I have to say staying at nick place was a awesome!!!!!!!!!!! experience it a quit place with very friendly local community. Great nightlife and is very close to Louisville!

    Thomas2018-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so comfortable and clean! Anything you could need is there for you, including an hdmi and hdmi-apple converter for the tv! The neighborhood itself is super calm and quiet, but Louisville is just a bridge away!

    Ann2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Nick is a great host! He was quick to reply to any questions we may have had, and gave great recommendations. The house is tucked away in a more private area, but had super easy access to the highways! Will stay here again for sure!

    Meghan2018-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nick was very helpful and quick to respond if we had any questions or issues. Would definitely rent with nick again.

    Matt2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place inside, nice and secluded without being too far removed. Neighbors were friendly, and we didn't have too much trouble finding it with the great directions Nick provided. 10/10 would stay again

    Jake2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable with everything needed. If I remember right we did need our own toiletries like soap and shampoo. We did not need the kitchen but is was well equipped. It is an older house in an older, quiet city neighborhood. You will notice some expected settling and uneven flooring which is normal for the age of the home, but all is soundly built. I loved the character of the home.

    Tim2018-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • The day before we arrived Nick checked in with us knowing we where traveling from California to let us know there would be thunderstorms to be careful. Nick gave us places to visit and responds quickly if you have any questions. The place was very clean and perfect spot for a small family. The neighbors very very friendly. If we are ever in Indiana again we will definitely stay again at Nick’s place. It’s close to the downtown area and a few miles from Louisville Kentucky.

Hello, first of all, thanks for reading :) I've tried my best to cover all information about my listing in this "Description" and "House Rules" sections (please read if you have pet) but if there are any pieces of info you couldn't find, please feel free to contact me directly. I'll be gladly to assist. Thank you! From the very beginning, my goal was to create a clean and welcoming place that my guests could feel like their own home. And so far, I have been happily receiving positive outcomes from all of my guests who enjoyed their stays and had great home away from home experiences. For me, homey feeling, welcoming, comfortable and having the best deal are most important wherever I travel so I try my best to bring all those valuable feelings to my guests. I bought my home in the beginning of 2011. I'd been living there for more than 4 years until I recently moved in with my fiancé in different part of town. With all the love and work that I have been putting into my lovely home, I would like to welcome all guests from everywhere to visit and have a comfortable stay. I was the (only) mentioned host (as one of the best in Louisville) in an article about 10 most hospitable cities in the US on cnTraveler website. It's only 20% of all hosts in Louisville are awarded SuperHosts and I am proud to be one of them. Thanks to all my guests who made this happened with their reviews and recommendations. I will never stop trying to provide wonderful Airbnb experience :) *** NOTE: if you plan to have PET(S) TRAVELLING WITH, please READ the "HOUSE RULES" section located below, thank you !
Located in the South End of Louisville. It is not a trendy, hip or heavy shopping oriented area in Louisville but instead it is a peaceful and friendly middle class neighborhood in border between Shively and PRP. Street is quiet most of the time (Holidays may be busy as families gathering). A few apartments are further away toward main street. Lot of restaurants, bars, stores, shops nearby just blocks away (even in walking distance.) Please see “Getting Around” section to learn more about location.
  • The description was very accurate. We had a wonderful experience, and wished that we could have stayed longer! Landon's place was clean, neat, and comfortable. The location was perfect for our stay, and the neighborhood was quiet and nice. Landon has thought of everything you will need. His yard is so pretty and well kept. Landon, thank you for being a fine host, and I hope we get to stay in your home again!

    Leslie2016-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! The house was super clean, had everything we could possibly need, and the location was good. Landon was a great host - always communicated quickly and efficiently. We would definitely stay here again.

    Mary2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks to Landon for being flexible with my ever changing requests. There were plenty of towels and space for all 9 of us to stay one night! The basement was the perfect place to throw the kids when we needed a break. His kitchen was stocked with essentials, and the living room couches were great for napping.

    Nicole2017-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect. Landon was very easy to get a hold of if needed. The house had everything we needed and the location was a 15 minute drive at most to anything in Louisville. It was the little details that made the stay A+; Ash trays for smokers, bottled water upon arrival in the fridge, extra toiletries or blankets/pillows if needed. London's thought of everything to make your stay as much like home as possible.

    Jennifer2017-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place. Very clean and convenient. Happy to have chosen to stay here on my trip. Pictures are accurate. Communication is great.

    Jolisa2017-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Landons house is very clean and comfortable. It is located near the expressway where you can get anywhere in Louisville within minutes. It is a nice quiet neighborhood, but right off Dixie Highway so you can get to stores and restaurants easily. Checkin and out was very easy, and Landon was easy to get a hold of. Will definitely stay there again.

    Donna2017-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very clean, and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable, and I felt safe in the neighborhood. The carport is a plus, as it was raining during our arrival and departure. Everything in the house is clearly labeled and easy to find. My 16 year-old daughter was so impressed and happy with our short stay (and the delicious homemade cookies left for us) she wrote Landon a personal note of thanks. Landon is a thorough, thoughtful host and obviously takes great pride in providing a nice place to stay. I would definitely stay here again!

    Leslie2016-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice home that was conveniently located close to Churchill Downs & downtown Louisville. The house was immaculate with 3 comfortable bedrooms and 2 full baths. A nice driveway area for off street parking. Landon was a great host who communicated in a timely fashion and was flexible for our stay needs. A great experience and I will stay there again if ever in Lousiville.

A unique ranch family home in the south-end suburbs within minutes of I-264, I-65, the airport, the Fairgrounds, Kentucky Kingdom and Churchill Downs. We boast a fenced backyard with a deck, hot tub and firepit. We are 20 Minutes from downtown Louisville. Our home sleeps 8 in beds! Louisville is renowned for the Kentucky Derby, the Bourbon Trail, craft beer and spirits and a terrific food and music culture!
A traditional ranch home built in the early 60's, this home boasts an addition and reconfiguration of space that makes it open and comfortable. There are a couple of unique features...the living room fireplace is a construct from an old cast iron boiler and showcases the artistry of the creator. The stained glass bow window in the dining room was designed and created by an original family member and it reflects the family of that time, the birds in the upper corners representing the parents and the lovely flowers (6!) their children!
The southend suburbs of Louisville offers a respite from traffic and hubbub, while maintaining an easy travel to many points of interest. Mike Linnig's Restaurant is a southend mecca. Eat the best fish in town along the banks of the Ohio River! The Farnsley-Moreman House offers a historic glance at how our earlier relations lived in peace and tranquility along the river. The Louisville Loop is easily accessed and there are water parks and playgrounds close by for the kids. Of course, Kentucky Kingdom is just 10-15 minutes away, as is the airport, Fairgrounds and Churchill Downs. Louisville is home to many Frederick Law Olmstead parks...Iroquois Park is just a 10 minute drive. There is a Kroger and a Walmart nearby for any convenience you may desire, along with several chain and fast food restaurants and shopping centers. Jefferson Mall, Oxmoor and St Matthews Malls, The Paddock Mall and now, just outside of Louisville along I-64 in Shelby County, the new Outlet Shoppes of Bluegrass are wonderful shopping destinations easily reached. The restaurant scene in Louisville is amazing, offering many places that feature locally raised beef and pork and produce on the menus. We also feature a HUGE brewing scene and you'll have the opportunity to enjoy locally crafted brews at nearly any restaurant! Don't overlook The Bourbon Trail and a visit to Copper & Kings! We have many, many favorite restaurants to recommend!
  • Sweet old school wood burning stove. Great communication.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Patty's house in Louisville. We had 10 of us in my family stay and it was plenty of space for all of us to get a chance to all stay together. My family and my sisters and my parents travel together often and cannot all fit in hotel rooms comfortably and it costs so much. This was so perfect for our stay! The house was clean and the neighborhood felt very safe. We really enjoyed the backyard. We will for sure try and book Patty's place again when traveling to Louisville.

    Jeanne2016-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great! Could not have been better, and we will stay here again!

    Marcus2018-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Love the spaciousness of this house! The kitchen area is large with dining room that is open next to it, making it easy to watch others cook, which I did! (It was my birthday!) Stocked well with cooking needs and supplies. Lots of platters! The two floor made for more sitting spaces and the beds were all comfortable. It's a beautiful house, with great furnishings. I was very pleased! Thanks, Patty.

    Becca2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication to let us know about checkin and how to enter, a great place in a great neighborhood not too far from downtown Louisville. Will definitely be staying here again in the future if our travels bring us through Louisville.

    Antonio2016-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • She got a wonderful house, and the host is very friendly and lovely!

    Shaw2016-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! Easy check-in, great space and the kids LOVED the hot tub!

    Kelly2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great. It was our first experience with airbnb and it exceeded our expectations. My daughter played travel basketball and this year 2 of the biggest showcase tourneys ended up being in Louisville and we did not want to stay in a hotel room for a week. My husband and I were able to walk the neighbor hood daily. Definitely recommend to stay here! Patty was great and fast with communication if had questions.

Beautiful antique sofa recently reupholstered in period-appropriate colors. Located in the parlor of an 1850s home in Mansion row, New Albany, Indiana. This sofa has many tales to tell, why not add yours? Two sofas and we can add a floor mattress if available. NOTE: We do not book smokers. Please do not try to book with us even if you plan to smoke outside or in your car during your stay. This is for the health of our other guests and our family.
Clean sheets & pillows. There are two sofas to choose from, so if pink isn't your style you can try the cream sofa. It isn't as distinguished, but is still very comfy. Free coffee, tea, snacks, heated swimming pool, chickens! We may have two or three additional actual beds available as well if you are a large party just passing through. Please feel free to inquire about additional space.
Many historic buildings to see, restaurants in walking distance, YMCA 6 blocks away. River directly behind us.

  • We love the historical properties of the house and enjoyed our stay. Melissa our host was fantastic and very friendly. I would stay here again if given the opportunity.

    John2017-04-24T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa and her home are absolutely wonderful! The mansion is stunning and spotlessly clean. My fiance and I had the sofa for the night and Melissa gave us a huge pile of freshly washed comfy blankets and pillows. Even though its listed as a shared space we had a good amount of privacy and the other people staying in the house were very kind. Melissa is a wonderful hostess. If you have the opportunity to stay in her home I'd 110% recommend that you book it right away! It was a fantastic experience to spend the night in such a charming and historic home. Also there's an excellent little burger restaurant right down the street and the bartender Jessica makes the best berry sangria I've ever had! :)

    Kristal2016-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa was an extremely hospitable host! Her place in New Albany is an absolute gem and well worth a stop if you're in the Louisville area. She was very communicative and provided all the necessities for a comfortable stay. I wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend her place to others.

Welcome to Little Cedar Lodge, your home away from home near the town of Elizabeth, Indiana. Enjoy the peace and solitude overlooking the quiet private lake, yet close to Horseshoe Casino, golf, wineries, and the city of Louisville with all it's activities and night life. Great for a romantic getaway for two, or for your entire family. Would also be great for a small church or business retreat. We can accommodate up to 12 if you double up in the beds.
Enjoy the view and peace and quiet of this cabin in the woods overlooking a private 125 acre lake. Watch for the many varieties of wildlife including ducks, geese, herons, eagles, osprey, deer, turkey, beaver, and others. No highway noise, and very seldom ever even hear an airplane. No boats or jet skis whizzing up and down the lake either, the lake is wake speed only. Even with all that you are only 20 miles from downtown Louisville. Enjoy your morning coffee on the large screened-in deck overlooking the lake. There are two private bedrooms with queen beds, and a large loft with 4 beds and a futon. The family room and kitchen area are open to the roof line, and the loft railing overlooks the downstairs. When you're not outside you can enjoy the Smart TV in the family room, internet and WIFI, along with Netflix and Hulu accounts. We have also provided a slew of games and cards and poker chips. Family gatherings and such are ok, but no parties with booze please (ie bachelor parties etc). Lake association rules do not allow you to fish, swim, or boat without an owner being present on site and we are usually not there when we have guests.
The neighborhood is a development of vacation style homes on approximately 1 acre each in an overall rural area.
  • We really enjoyed our stay. It is obvious you thought of your guests' needs. The house was very clean, the furnishings were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was so quiet and peaceful and a beautiful location. The screened porch was the best, being able to sit and enjoy the lake view and watch the birds at the feeders. I had pretty high expectations and even those were exceeded. :-) Thank you for providing a wonderful experience for us!

    Cathy2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, lots of space to spend quality time with friends and family. Spacious and comfortable amenities on a quiet, peaceful lake.

  • If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it at Little Cedar Lodge. Our family stayed there in April and we so enjoyed our stay. The kitchen had what what we needed. We played games around the table and the screened porch was enjoyed by all. Ron and Susan were great hosts and left treats for us. We plan to stay there again!

    Terry2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Little Cedar Lodge is a wonderful hidden gem! It is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Ron and Susan were wonderful... great communication and amazing hospitality! They truly made it feel as if the lodge were our home... it was clean and very well equipped, having everything we could possibly need for our stay. They were even kind enough as to loan us a dog kennel so we could bring our fur babies along with us. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer! We absolutely recommend staying here and will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves in the Louisville area :) Don't hesitate to book this lovely lodge!

    Jennifer2018-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous view of lake from screened in porch. It’s a bit off the beaten path but well worth it. Very quiet and peaceful.

    Kimberly2018-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Ron and Susan's cabin was a perfect getaway for us. Spotlessly clean, nice touches like games to play and they even provided soap, shampoo and coffee! The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and the entire place is very comfortable. Sometimes cabins can be rustic (old and dingy) but that was NOT the case here! The peace and quiet is absolutely wonderful as are the views. There are neighbors on either side but we never saw them. Although fishing is not allowed for guests, we saw several fishermen catch some pretty big fish! The smart/internet TV worked great and we were able to catch the semi and final women's basketball. Note that we did not have any cell reception, but they have a landline we coyls use if necessary. All in all, wonderful hosts and a wonderful place to get away from the city.

  • We so enjoyed staying in Brittany's beautiful farmhouse. The bed was comfy and the home was spacious and immaculate. The Linens were plush and Britney was friendly. We definitely would recommend a stay at their place and look forward to saying again ourselves.

    Brittany2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Britney was a great host! This was my very first air bnb experience because I moved from Atlanta to Chicago and needed a place to stay overnight. Unfortunately, my arrival time to her home was later than I anticipated but I did keep her updated and she was very understanding of my situation (which helped me feel a lot better). The room is huge and beautifully decorated! The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. It's a very peaceful place to stay. And hey, it's on a farm! Who wouldn't want to experience that?! I highly recommend staying at Britney's location!

We don't live in a neighborhood, but have a few houses around us, only one in-sight enough to be considered a neighbor. We're 15 minutes from downtown Louisville. There's a long driveway up past our house that connects to a neighborhood for walks and secret overlook about a 15-20 min walk away.
  • This was my first time using Airbnb, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Katie let me know that she would still be at work when I arrived with my guests, but we were more than welcome to let ourselves in and get situated. Her and her husband were so welcoming by taking their time to genuinely talk to us. They didn't mind helping us find places to go, and were more than happy to answer all of the questions we had. Even before booking, Katie took her time to speak with me and she got back to me every time fairly quick. The house was perfect, although we were only in the basement, it was just right for myself and two friends. The two bedrooms didn't seem to get too hot or cold like other reviews say. However, the living area in the basement was cooler in the morning, but it definitely warmed up throughout the day. The projection system was really great to watch movies on. I did go upstairs to talk to Katie and her husband a few times, and I complimented her on how beautifully her house is decorated. The picture she provides are very accurate, although it is even more breathtaking in person. The nature surrounding the house and the town is indescribable. Katie provided extra blankets, towels, soap, movies, a cooler, and even let us store a few things in their refrigerator. There was a private entrance to the basement which was really convenient, but when no one was home they let us use the front entrance to lock everything up. We had no issue with a Wi-Fi connection. The cellphone reception was patchy, but that is out of Katie's control as the house is surrounded by a forest. I couldn't say thank you enough to them for everything they provided for us!

  • This is the cutest couple ever! They were very attentive when we had questions and my grandson absolutely loved the yard !!!!!

  • Katie and her husband where so helpful. I am really glad we stayed there! We were in the area for a wedding and it was wonderful to find a place close to the venue that wasn't an expensive hotel. They were so inviting and explained everything regarding the house well. Their house is so cute and they have an adorable little dog that is so friendly! The place was clean and our area was separate from everything upstairs. The only thing to note when you stay here is know there is no cell reception. Other than that it was a great place to stay!

    Kelley2016-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and 5 girlfriends stayed at Katie's home for a bachelorette weekend. It was the perfect stay - adorable home just about 20m outside of Lousville - close to a great winery, secluded enough to feel like we weren't right back in the city, and just so so perfect. We all had a great time and the home made such a special addition to our weekend. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the Louisville area!

    Whitney2016-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this house is stunning. The artwork/decorations in the house are brilliant. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was big (and clean), and the atmosphere was very welcoming. And they even set up a blow-up mattress for us. I didn't get to actually meet Katie or her husband, but they remained in constant communication and were incredibly helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend staying here.

    Gabrielle2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay! Lovely place and great location with scenic views close by overlooking Louisville. The location was great and we were pleased with how clean and orderly everything was.

Three bedroom ranch, with a large backyard, five minutes away from the Watterson Expressway (264). The house has enough room to sleep six VERY comfortably, 10 if you can work with it.
Comfortable space for when you don't want to stay with the rest of the family! Because of the location in the southend of Louisville, this makes our ranch home the perfect home away from home when visiting family & relatives, conventions, concerts, or any other reason you're in town. The house has a large eat in kitchen, living room, & three separate bedrooms. Let the pictures do the talking on room and bed arrangements! There is a large backyard and we are fur-baby friendly!
I used to live and work in this neighborhood. I still work right down the street from the property. You are safe to walk and ride bikes in the area. There has never been any security issues that I am aware of in this neighborhood. But, as with anything-due diligence is always required. I have been a school teacher for the last ten years. I LOVE this area because I can be anywhere in Louisville in ten to fifteen minutes. There is grocery, restaurants, and other shopping nearby.

  • Ellen was an amazing host -- fast, friendly e-mails, followed by personal follow-up, and she even purchased some things to have them in the cottage for our romantic get-away. She was available to meet us on our schedule, and was sweet and friendly in person. The cottage was just as described, and was as clean and spotless as a navy kitchen. The cottage backs to a road and is near a light to moderately used railroad line which can be both heard and felt, but that frankly adds to the small-town charm. And that said, it's also fairly private. It's quaint and homey, and is just a quarter mile from one of the last drive-in movie theaters around. Great place to stay, and would be a fine place to be based for an extended period.

  • Ellen was very accommodating and gave us our privacy and had no problems with our late arrival. The cottage was very clean and cozy and a lot bigger than expected. Would definetly recommend to anyone planning to visit the area or heading to Louisville being that it's only about maybe 25 minutes away. Thanks again.

  • Loved my stay! Ellen is very prompt at communicating with you and incredibly kind and gracious. The place is so cute in a cottage/cabin kind of way. Very clean and you definitely have everything you need right there. It's such a short and peaceful drive to downtown Louisville it's convenient. I look forward to returning in the future!

Just minutes from downtown Louisville, but quiet and rural, let the crickets sing you to sleep in this comfy modern setting, featuring 2 separate entrances (one in the living room, one in the bedroom). Head to downtown Louisville and visit the KFC Yum Center (5.5 miles away), or to Churchill Downs (6.5 miles). The Horseshoe Casino isn't too far (7.5 miles) or if you want to stay more local, downtown New Albany, including it's charming Amphitheater is just a short drive away (2 miles).
Pretty much full size everything and room to comfortably sleep 4 people but let's be real we have sleeping matts and y'all could squeeze 5. The house is built like a home stacked on an apartment, so we are living above the space. The area is surrounded by trees and nature, and is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of busy streets to be peaceful and quiet.
  • I loved our stay at this Airbnb! Everything was so clean, and just like the pictures. The bed is so comfortable and our host went above and beyond. This place is so close to everything - 2 miles to downtown New Albany and around 5 miles to downtown Louisville. 10x better than any hotel near this price range. On a side note, the homemade cookies were so delicious! Definetely recommend!

  • Excellent place, seriously close to Louisville. Hosts were very accommodating. We did not stay long, but enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The place is SPOTLESS, and the beds are comfy. Great shower head and the washer and dryer in the unit was a huge plus!

  • I recommend Heidi's place. It is beautifully decorated. Very nice bed. The location is excellent for passing through or staying for southern Indiana or Louisville attractions. I look forward to returning when needed.

    Elizabeth2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we have stayed with Heidi and we really like this place! We love the bed and the shower! The kitchen and laundry room are great extras! They were very accommodating arranging the sleeping arrangements for our children. Our favorite part is it is accessible (zero entry in the front door) for our son in a wheelchair. We hope to come back again soon!

    LaDonna2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • In town for a conference and found Heidi's place close to downtown Louisville. My only regret is I couldn't spend more time there. It is well appointed, clean and very comfortable.

    Jim2018-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, comfortable and anything you need is in the kitchen. Quiet area but suggest getting there in the daylight - little tough spotting the house. Hosts were great!

  • This is a great Airbnb tucked away with privacy yet minutes to I-64 and Louisville! We came in last minute and this place was absolutely perfect for our special family! Come and stay in the smallest house on Mansion Row! My shotgun house is located on Main Street in downtown New Albany, just steps away from local restaurants, the Ohio River Scenic Byway, weekend farmers market, the Culbertson Mansion, and more. You will love exploring the updated downtown area with plenty of historical charm. Perfect for a couple, but can accommodate up to 4 or 5 guests if you're open to couch/air mattress sleeping! Private, fenced in backyard and off street parking!
If you're coming in for Derby, my house is located just 10 miles from Churchill Downs. Easy commute for those with a car. Uber is also a great option.
  • We loved Zach's charming little home! It was just as pictured, comfortable and super convenient and easy to find. Zach was great host as well, very kind and communicative! The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful as well. We will definitely stay again next time we're in the area! Thanks so much Zach!

    Andrey2018-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location and place!!! Zach is a fantastic host and answers very quickly. My family and I stayed there for the Derby. Perfect distance to Churchill downs. And New Albany is a very cute city to explore.

    Brittany2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Zach's place for a weekend getaway. First, this house is in a great location because it's so close to the "main stretch" but still far enough away that there is no extra noise from people at bars and such. What a cute little house. Absolutely the perfect size for 2 people. It's actually even bigger than it looks. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of interior space. It was very clean, full of cool decorations that let us get to know Zach even though we didn't get to meet him, and the neighbors we met were really nice. Zach communicated promptly, and let us know about a bar/kitchen we went to twice called The Exchange! Overall we loved this place and the whole experience. If we're ever in New Albany again we'll be back.

    Dustin2018-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Listen, My wife & I have stayed at many Airbnb’s. Zach’s smallest house on Mansion Row is right up near the top. His place is as cool as it gets, but walk the neighborhood and you’ll know why it’s called Mansion Row. Beautiful settled neighborhood! Ate some really good food, shopped some really great shops and saw a top-notch performance at The Grand Theatre by country music star Craig Campbell, all in the town of New Albany, IN. Who needs to cross the river to Louisville when there’s New Albany. Thanks Zach for the great stay, the great communication and hospitality. Going above and beyond by installing a state of the art passcode deadbolt specifically for our stay! We’ll be back, there’s no doubt. Thanks again, Doug & Tammy Marion, IN

This room is a teen's room so there may be some personal items in the room and in the closet, dresser and desk. It is in a quiet corner of the 3rd floor and the bathroom is on the second floor. Perfect for guests passing through and just needing a place to sleep. Super comfy bed. NOTE: We do not book smokers. Please do not try to book with us even if you plan to smoke outside or in your car during your stay. This is for the health of our other guests and our family.
This room has a queen bed and we usually have some other “beds” available - a twin and full mattress which can be laid on the floor or a single size cot. These should be requested ahead of time. All towels etc are provided, we have shampoo & soap. Laundry room access too. We are here to please. There is a crazy little spiral staircase that takes you to the cupola or widow's walk on top of the house where you can snuggle with a book or just enjoy the river view & scenery. Just be warned, my 4 teenage daughters share this space and they are not always the tidiest little ladies!
  • A beautiful home, a beautiful room, an extremely comfy bed and in a great part of town. I had a fantastic stay at Melissa's home and will definitely stay here if I return.

    Laura2016-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa's house was gorgeous and my room was clean and comfy. Melissa thoughtfully had a space heater on so that my room was nice and warm when I got in that night. Overall a great location that I would definitely stay at again if I were ever back in town.

  • Wow! Melissa's house is absolutely gorgeous. I somehow didn't realize this room was in a historic mansion, but it is and the house is astounding! The room was perfect for us, students on a budget, but it was lovely to see the inside of a historic home like Melissa's! Highly recommend. She was very communicative and helpful and we had a great time.

  • This was my second visit to Melissa's home. Just as before, it was lovely! I met Melissa this time, as she was out of town last year, and she's very welcoming. The mansion is beautiful, filled with all you will need for your stay, and the beds are so comfy! I slept like a rock! The location is great, too. Be sure to walk to the downtown area and check out Toast on Market for a delicious brunch, and True North for local shopping! Thanks again, Melissa! I enjoyed my stay, and will be booking again in the near future!

  • Check in was a breeze, & communication with host was quick. Host was flexible and accommodating. House was as described and very comfortable for our group of 5 adults. Sparkling clean with plenty of soft fluffy towels, comfortable beds, TVs in every bedroom was a nice addition. We had fun gathering around the dining room table for meals & games; enjoyed BBQ'ing in the backyard & listening to birds from the front porch swing. Quiet residential neighborhood close to grocery store & freeway access.

Dogs do not interact with guests. We will be available for any need, otherwise we are very quiet and no bother.
This is a safe and quiet neighborhood, so be mindful of the noise you make when you're outdoors. Please don't feed, pet or show affection to the neighbor's cat. We want her to stay in her yard.
  • Angela's place is a must-to- stay place. It is the top of the top notch place in the world. The 20- minute drive to Louisville is so worthed. The place is extremely clean , which I am sure is also sanitized between each guest. This place makes me feel so relaxed and so safe that I am having this place as my " home", whenever I come to the area. Angela provides everything we need for the trip. The bathroom is handicapped-access, which helps me in helping my mother, who is 86- year old needing some assistance for stability in the bathroom: the shower has shower-chair and handrails; another set of handrail is by the toilet. In the family room, there is a treadmill and some weights available. The kitchen is fully stocked with breakfast food, juices, and snacks. Each bedroom is provided with water and even chocolates. The backyard is so peaceful and relaxing. The service is also a top- notch service. I received a confirmation within 5 minutes of my request. This is such a stress-free request--I made it on the way to Louisville, because I had 2 no-response request, and one that the host had forgotten that the place was not available. I cannot write enough of the wonderful stay we have here. I am so grateful for the service that we received. Thank you so much

  • We had a great stay in Louisville and Angela was a great host. She was so welcoming and the house was even better in person than the pics can show! Fresh flowers, lots of snacks and breakfast choices & plenty of room...we highly recommend it! It was the perfect choice for our family & our dog. It is super easy and convenient to get to Louisville. Thanks for everything Angela!

  • Six of us came in town for four nights for the Kentucky Derby and had our expectations blown out the door in this great space. Angela was out of town for most of our stay (wish we had a chance to meet!), but that didn't prevent her from from staying in contact with me in case we had any questions. The space was awesome and was super clean, well decorated, and we were all impressed how organized everything was! Angela planned ahead and left us notes everywhere regarding where things were and some directions. Beds in both rooms were very comfortable and did not have trouble getting a good night's rest. We had access to the outdoor area in the back (which was beautiful). Unfortunately, weather was not the best in nights we were home early. Amazing hospitality. Really don't know how you could rate other than 5 Stars

    Zack2016-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • nice place! Angela was very pleasant and responsive. Had no issues.

  • Great neighborhood and quick access to Louisville area. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Angela was an amazing hostess and her home is beautiful. The unit was very clean and she stocked us with breakfast food and even had a plate of freshly baked brownies for us when we arrived. We were only in town to visit Louisville but it's in an excellent location to quickly get into downtown (under 10 minutes) or over to Churchill Downs (about 20 minutes). We have been very lucky with Airbnb hosts and Angela continued our streak. We will definitely stay at her place again if we're ever in Louisville!

  • Place was as described, host went above and beyond, I would recommend this place to anyone!!

Built in 1839 this stately manor can accommodate up to 12 guest. Less than a 15$ Uber to D-Town, Churchill and the Horseshoe Casino. Just a mile from historic downtown New Albany where culinary delights are just a stones throw away. The Mansion(of its day) sits atop a hill on 1.75 acres looking towards Louisville and the river. Close to the action but private enough for naked morning coffee on the patio!! You and yours deserve this place. Live, love let's go!!
Central location: closest lodging to casino, the only non-toll bridge is with-in sight!! (I-64). 10 mins to downtown Louisville, 15 minutes to Churchill Downs. 1.75 acres provides great privacy but less than a mile into restaurant haven of historic New Albany. Enjoy modern kitchen and bathrooms among the original antebellum structure. There is several outside areas to enjoy. A large patio on the back side has comfy seating including umbrellas, fire pit, tiki torches and grill. Completely private and one of the most popular spots to hang. There’s a covered porch on the side for those rainy days and directly above is a veranda that’s off the 2nd floor club room that’s great for taking in the view. And 1.75 acres situated on top of a hill to frolic about!!!
Best location to start the Bourbon Trail. NO TOLL BRIDGE LOCATION. The only non-tolled bridge in the area is visible from the Estate. So if renting a car DO NOT PAY for the toll pass you will not need it. Also if flying don’t forget Cincinnati and Indianapolis airports are only about 1.5 hours away and sometimes provides a better option.
  • This house is an amazing work in progress! Quirky but charming, can't wait to come back next year and see the finished product.

  • Enjoyed staying at this 19th century home with my extended family for Thanksgiving. The house is a fixer upper, so it is still a work in progress. The host was wonderful. He showed us around the home and informed us of it’s history. He also gave us tips on where to visit around town.

    Kim2017-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks Brandon for your hospitality. Your home is very special and worked out beautifully for us! Thanks for making our time there so successful.

  • We had a group of 9 guys in the house and it had loads of space. Easy going and organized, Brandon took care of us. The house is still being renovated in drips and drabs, but it's a perfect spot for a big group.

    Paul2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Top notch! Don't expect a new home, an old one is what you'll get and the better for it! Absolutely Charming!!

  • Our stay could not have been better. Brandon was an excellent host, communicated frequently regarding our stay, and had great insight on the area. He went out of his way to stock up drinks of our choice and was a pleasure to be around. Highly reccomend!

  • Brandon takes great pride in the history of his place and takes the time to share with the guests. It is a convenient locate yet private.

  • First bad experience on AirBnb after years of using it. The Airbnb post seemed promising so we decided to book this location. But it was a series of disappointments since the day came. Allegedly there was a raven in the property and a water main broke requiring a water boil ordinance and the host requesting a late check-in. We indulged. After burning several hours, we arrived at the property which appeared to be under construction. Bathroom was not useable mainly because it had no walls or shower. Kitchen smelled like urine. The whole house was dusty. Furniture was either broken or breaking. Strangers knocked on the doors late at night asking for the host. Do not let the pictures fool you. This house is a mess. If the host would have just mentioned that it was under construction all this headache could have been avoided.

Our neighborhood is unique in that we are in a country setting in the scenic hills of Floyds Knobs but we are only 12 minutes from downtown Louisville. We're in a small subdivision of beautifully landscaped homes on acre lots, with rolling hills and mature trees that looks more like a park than a subdivision. Great for a morning run or walk. Hosts are cyclists and can provide maps. Your bikes will have secure storage overnight in our garage.
  • We had rather last minute invite to attend Derby and we were thankful to find Pam and Don's place. They were very friendly and helpful with local information. The quarters were spacious and the location was very handy for our trip. Breakfast on Derby morning was delicious and a perfect way to start our special day!

  • Amazing and hospitable hosts. Lovely home with lots of thoughtful touches. We were just passing through, but wish we could’ve stayed longer to fully enjoy the pool, billiards, ping pong, and explore the area. Would definitely rebook if in the area again.

    Alex2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Pam and Dons place was fantastic! Check in was easy and effortless. They gave us the code we needed to come and go easily. We were a family of 4 with a 1 year old and 4 year old who don’t understand the value of personal space and don’t know a stranger. That didn’t bother Pam or Don the slightest! They even set up a crib for us and provided many fun toys and games the boys loved. We had access to the beautiful pool, roomy kitchen and ample sleeping quarters. I really enjoyed the little private patio that sits off the bedroom. I went out in the morning for tea (they provided) and enjoyed the beautiful trees and scenery. They gave us plenty of privacy and even hung out with us when we invited them to do so. Pam says “mi Casa es su Casa” and they mean that literally. I never felt like I was bothering them or putting them out. Don even brought me a glass of wine when I was sitting by the pool for much needed relaxation time. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and wouldn’t hesitate coming back in the future.

    Lauren2018-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • The owners were very helpful and sweet unfortunately it just didn’t feel like a place that was very teenager friendly after 10pm, you feel like you are being to loud or disturbing the home owners.. When you go on vacation you just want to have fun and enjoy the time with your family. We ended up not spending much time in the pool because it was pretty much occupied by the home owners. Beautiful home for a single person that doesn’t want to make much noise or couple but wouldn’t recommend it for a family of 2 or more.

This three story historic building has a river view and dozens of restaurants, bars and shops within 3 blocks. A 10$ Uber will get you to D-Town Louisville or the Horseshoe Casino. Granite, leather and exposed brick adorns the interior. The 2nd and 3rd floor make up the 1700 sq ft living quarters and the 1k sq ft studio on the 1st is available upon request. This place was designed to entertain. Exposed brick and original stairs will transport you back. Everything else is modernized for comfort.
1st Floor: Dance Studio/Game/Party Room. The ground level has a separate entrance and serves as my teaching space for a few hours throughout the week. There is a ping-pong table available and a great sound system(obviously). It’s an open space with mirrors and hard wood floor and lots of cool lighting options. Great for having up to 25 for a cocktail or 7 or just a friendly match of table tennis. This room is available upon request and usually forward notice is needed for use. To have 24/7 access there is an up-charge. However If you just want to use it for a couple hours from time to time there’s no charge. 2nd Floor: living/dining/kitchen/patio. Open concept makes this floor socially awesome. Sitting at the breakfast bar, dining room table or overstuffed leather couches you can all be in the convo!! Gas grill off the kitchen patio just in case you're tired of eating out at all the great restaurants a stones throw away. 3rd Floor: bedrooms. The Two large bedrooms offer a different feel from the rest of the building. Connecting these is a polished marble bathroom with a walk in shower that can hold up to 4, really I checked. The more modern style of the 2 bedrooms has a 50" tv, a mini-fridge, microwave and a plush chaise lounge great for those days where you just want to skip the stairs. The old world bed chamber has a collection of titanic era artifacts and furniture that I've gathered all over the globe for the past many years. There’s also a laundry room stocked with detergents and ironing gear.
It's a true historic place!! With structures dating back to 1813. Stroll along the Ohio River or literally crawl home from one of the many watering holes. I love that I may not use my car for a week.
  • Great location- get specifics on what is truly available to you with the rental.

  • I had an excellent stay and everything met my expectations and more. I did not expect to make a really good friend as Brandon is an exception host and took the time to make a stranger feel most welcome. I would highly recommend his place for anyone to stay whether it would be for business or vacation. New Albany is a quaint little town with plenty of exceptional restaurants with in walking distance. Make use of the beautiful kitchen for the Betty Crockers out there. There is more than enough room here for anyone's entertainment needs. Louisville is a quick hop, skip, and a jump away for anyone wanting to experience the big city that has so much to offer. You will not be disappointed in booking this space.

  • Incredible access to the town of New Albany and even Louisville. Accommodates 2 couples or 2 single adults very well. Hip, stylish place with very tall ceilings, comfortable furniture, and very friendly host.

  • WOW when we walked in to history. This civil war period restoration is still a work in progress but mostly finished. We had a mini family re-union and everyone loved the place. Brandon made available his entire first floor dance studio for all the kids to enjoy to give us adults a much needed break after Christmas. Super chic decor and lots of space. Check it out, we are planning to return. Johnny and Patty S.

  • Everything about our stay at Brandon's Historical home was great! Brandon is polite, professional and accommodating. We came in on a late night flight and he was at the home waiting to let us in, give us the keys and showed us around the house so we knew where everything we would need was located. He even stocked the refrigerator with bottled water and some breakfast foods for in the morning. Before he left he had a bottle of champagne on ice and we toasted to an enjoyable stay! All his suggestions of dining and tours were top shelf and he was always available to answer any questions we had about the area. This was our very first experience with Airbnb and in the future we will avoid motel stays whenever possible. And of course if our travels ever bring us back to Louisville we will try booking Brandon's place first! God bless Brandon at Airbnb! Deborah P. Storck Villanti

  • The house was just what we needed for our group. Brandon was there to meet us and explain everything we needed to know. We had a small event , Brandon help setup for it in his dance studio. We really appreciated all his his help in making it a success.

Beautiful Mansion in historic New Albany Indiana. Private Bath with antique claw foot tub. Queen bed, sofa, sitting area, 12 ft ceilings. Parlor and dining room with imported ceiling high mirrors. Heated Swimming Pool, walking distance to shops, restaurants. NOTE: We do not book smokers. Please do not try to book with us even if you plan to smoke outside or in your car during your stay. This is for the health of our other guests and our family.
Private room at front corner of house. Original wood floors. Views of the Ohio River and Sherman Minton Bridge from the east window. This room was originally a doctor's office for the first owners, the Sloan Family. The doctor's waiting room has been converted to the bathroom. The queen size bed has luxury sheets, feather comforter, lots of pillows, 3 huge windows have original wood shutters and concave/convex antique glass panes. The property sits on a full acre and has an in-ground pool. There is a park just behind us and a bike path along the river as part of the Greenway Project. The basement has a tunnel that was used in the underground railroad. Third floor has a "look-out" post called the Cupola, which was installed by the second owner Admiral Bicknell in the late 1800s. If time and space allow guests may have the opportunity to view these other spaces of the home.
Within walking distance: restaurants, YMCA with aquatic center & rockwall, farmer's market on Saturdays (seasonal), unique shops, natural food store, winery and more. Please look up restaurant hours. I would also look for groupons for the local winery and restaurants. Some are closed on Sunday or Mondays. We have views of the Ohio River and are just minutes from downtown Louisville. We have bike trails, the Loop wetlands, Greenway Park, amphitheater. In the summer there are live concerts featuring local artists, craft fairs abound, in the Fall is the Harvest Homecoming. Culberson Mansion is a couple blocks away. Much much more. Also our residence is private and beautiful and you may not want to leave.
  • We had a great visit with Melissa. The room was quiet and clean. She even made time to show us around the house with short notice. We loved the flexible check in and out times. We loved that we could have morning tea and coffee on the back porch with chickens, squirrels and cats all milling about and playing. Overall good experience and would recommend to others.

    Matt2016-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was a wonderful experience. The room (and home) was absolutely gorgeous. The home was quiet and we were offered privacy. The home itself was very charming, with a lot of history and built in character (beautiful gold mirrors, tall ceilings, doors and windows). Melissa was a lovely host, who was kind enough to cook us a delicious breakfast and show us tunnels in her basement that were a part of the Underground Railroad (which my girlfriend was very excited about as a history teacher). We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

    Louis2015-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a beautiful place - inside and out - and the host was very helpful - great breakfast, loaned me a bike complete with helmet and lock, and even accommodated my diet needs! It is the closest mansion along "mansion row" to the downtown area and to a local bike path. The pool was great, the bed was very comfy! I plan to return for sure.

    Susan2015-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the house, which is historic yet a lived-in family home, with a large garden and a refreshing pool. Melissa was very welcoming and helpful and made a lovely breakfast. My room was very comfortable, and the place was in a convenient location near the river and several restaurants. I would stay there again any time and can recommend it for anybody staying in new Albany.

  • Melissa was wonderful and friendly, and the place was exactly as described. It's next to the Ohio River with a beautiful park nearby.

  • The room was just as wonderful as she described it. The ceilings and windows are magical! The room had everything we needed. Melissa kept her distance but was available if I had any questions. This was my first time booking myself and I had some questions; she worked with me and made it a great experience.

  • Melissa was a fantastic host! We felt very comfortable at her home! The bed was comfy, the room and bathroom was very clean and the house was really cool! Melissa went out of her way with little touches that made us feel very welcome like water bottles, snacks and chocolate upon our arrival. We would definitely stay again! Enjoyed our trip immensely!

  • Melissa was an incredibly accommodating host, our "stay" was a bit out of the ordinary and she was absolutely fabulous about it. The house is STUNNING and the room we stayed in was roomy, clean and luxurious with its huge bed, beautiful windows and large clawfoot tub. There was also a small fridge with water bottles as well as a fan and alarm clock. We did not make use of the grounds or pool during our stay but they were gorgeous as well. Thanks so much Melissa!

The house is a two bedroom house with a little suite on the top. One bathroom and restroom, one kitchen with full size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. It includes a big parking on the back and is located in a quiet neighborhood. From the house to downtown Louisville is around 10 min drive.
A two bedroom house with a basement and a flat upstairs near downtown.
The neighborhood is a quiet place with access to grocery, kroger, and gas stations less than 2min drive. There is a public library around the corner too and a liquor store in walking distance.
  • Very sweet couple! Very pretty room. That being said, we were very hot. Ac was not on or didn’t work. Was putting in audits and had to swat flies all night. But no bugs in our room. Air like mattress but hard. Stairs going into house and in house going from kitchen to living room. They were one of the few places that accommodated our bringing our service dog which was appreciated. This is a nice neighborhood. You drive through some older houses but it’s past those. Babak”s place is a place you can feel comfortable in. Not the Hilton but you’re not paying Hilton prices, so don’t complain about it. Love the hospitality!!!!

  • Drugs are used in the house . Horrible smell Horrible location Not clean Not a nice area Hot and gross Bed is a blow up air mattress Back yard is where you park and is nasty - have to go thru mud to go anywhere

    Kitty2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a good experience - communication was particularly excellent - but several things raised red flags. The most concerning was that I closed and locked my bedroom door before going to sleep, but the door was unlocked and open when I woke up. I also locked the front door, but that was unlocked by morning, too. And the back door was closed when I arrived but open when I left. I was told I was there alone, but clearly somebody had entered. There were no major problems (nothing was stolen or damaged) but it was enough to make me feel unsafe. Next time I'm in Louisville I'll find a different place to stay.

    Aaron2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Babak and Roza are good hosts. They are awesome people. Communication is excellent. They are very interactive. They help guests alot. I will visit again in future as well. Babak is a very good and helpful man. Just let him know he will do everything for you.

    Abdul Zabi2018-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was exactly what we were looking for. After a long drive, Babak and Roza were able to accommodate a really late check in and made us feel like we were at home. All the stuff we needed to shower and get ourselves together in the morning was there. Friendly and welcoming hosts!

    Lorena2018-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place was well-within our budget (myself and two others) and fit our needs well. That being said, it wasn’t very well-kept and the bedroom smelled a bit. The hosts were so kind and communicative that it mostly made up for the inconveniences. If you really need a cheap place to stay at for a night or two, this place will definitely work. If you’re planning something longer, you may want something a little closer to the city and in a safer neighborhood.

  • The Host was so hospitable and very thoughtful. The ambience from the house owner was very great and we loved the way they welcomed us with flower garlands. They have arranged to pick us from the airport to the room within a very short notice period. She has always answered our texts and emails. This was our very first experience with Airbnb and we completely feel it was a great time that we had. The place where we stayed was very calm and the rooms were very clean and the kitchen was really good with all the necessities that were required for us. The neighborhood was very good too. Overall it was a great hosting and super ambience with nice gesture from the Hosts. We do recommend this one for others who are looking for the stay at Louisville, KY. We all thank the host and we have really enjoyed our stay at your place.

  • The house itself was very clean inside and sondra was a very generous host. The cabinet was packed with snacks and she even left us a bottle of Woodford Reserve and Kentucky derby shot glasses as a welcome gift for derby weekend. We did have a couple issues, the first being the location. Upon arrival, we heard a car screech right in front of the house and saw a man get out of his car to scream at and threaten someone. The next night my friends walked to the gas station down the street but it was locked and the employee had to walk over and open the door. When they asked why she had it locked she said “this isn’t a safe neighborhood, you shouldn’t be walking around here at night.” The other issue was as soon as we walked in, there was an very musty odor but it eventually went away once we turned the air on. I have asthma that flares up when I’m in a moldy space which made it a little uncomfortable for the weekend. All in all, sondra is a very generous host and the place was very clean, there were just a few shortcoming.

  • I can't tell you how much I appreciated your kindness in letting me stay at your home. It was a delight to see a loving family interact and enjoy each other's company. It showed me how a family can be close despite everyday pressures. You have created a great home atmosphere.

  • I loved staying at Sondra's place! She was so flexible and accommodating. The location was perfect- It was a 5-minute walk from everything. artistic apartment just as charming as pictured- stocked with coffee and breakfast supplies in the kitchen and basic toiletries in the bathroom. The bed is the most comfortable I’ve ever had in an Airbnb. The location is excellent- easily walkable to major sights. Highly recommend this apartment! I would like to stay again at Sondra's place when I visit Louisville again :)

  • We had a great time staying at Mansion Row in Melissa's home. The room was clean and looked just like the pictures. Melissa was available and very accommodating of our rushed schedule. We came to check in and had to leave right away for a wedding. After the wedding we had to leave very early in the morning also. We really appreciated Melissa's flexibility around our schedule as well as how clean and nice the room was. We had a very comfortable stay!

  • Melissa was really nice! Room was clean, large and exactly as pictured. Loved seeing her bunnies and little chicks and chickens too. Would stay again!

  • Melissa is a wonderful hostess. The home and bedroom ( I stayed in) has an old world charm with updates for the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable, I did not want to get out of it in the morning. Melissa provided a nice assortment of coffee, tea and health bars. She was very easy to reach. The town is very appealing with quaint shops and areas to eat at. One added note is that Melissa does have a cat ( heard but not seen). She also has chickens in back of her house. I wanted to pet or hold one, but I did not have the opportunity because of the rain. I would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone. Very romantic setting, it would be great for a couples get away.

  • This is a beautiful historic home with a homey feel. Also has a beautiful property that we got to enjoy the next morning before visiting Louisville. We got a cheap lyft ride over to Jeffersonville where there were a few cool bars and we could use the walking bridge over to Louisville.

  • Melissa & family have created a cozy & welcoming atmosphere. Melissa goes out of her way to make sure you've got everything you need, and is easily accessible. Thanks for the summer!

  • The room was spacious and beautiful but comfortably decorated. The area is quiet and you are able to have a nice walk with out worrying. The pool looks wonderful but I didn't try it because I didn't bring a suit.

  • Melissa and her family were very welcoming. The room was spacious but cozy, beautifully decorated, and clean. Although it was a brief stay, it was enjoyable and I would absolutely stay there again!

  • Enjoyed staying in a historic 1800's home. Our room was quaint and cozy with beautiful historic details. We took a short walk to see the Ohio River. Quick access to Louisville via I-64. Melissa was available if we needed anything.

A really fantastic retreat--scenic, quiet, and serene. A perfect escape from city life (and remarkably close to town and activities in Louisville).
