“Lefkes is a picturesque mountain village in Paros that is famous for its traditional character. Lefkes had been the first capital of Paros which was built by immigrants from Crete and locals who were looking for protection against pirate attacks. It is built in an amphitheatre shape with many beautiful, neoclassic buildings, quirky little passages and charming ‘hidden’ cafés where you can enjoy the architecture. Lefkes is also known for its tavernas, such as taverna Klarinos, that specialise in delicious grilled meats.”

Locality
“Une vue magnifique, des petites ruelles typiques, des magasins, une église et un cimetière à visiter tout en bas du village. L'église est située sur une place où il est agréable de prendre un verre de citronade "maison" ainsi que des cakes aux carottes ou aux pommes à la terrasse d'un petit café bien de là-bas”

Cafe
“When it's too hot in Naoussa, we head to the mountain. Lefkes is a beautiful village, the weather is always a bit cooler up there, and Aggelantonis cafe or kafeneio as we say it in greek, is the best choice. We suggest their homemade lemonade with ginger”

Place of Worship
“Located in the mountainous village of Lefkes, the Church of Agia Triada is a Byzantine temple of unique architectural importance. Dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the church is the second largest on the island and was originally established on the previous location of three smaller ones (Agia Anna, Analipsi and Agios Georgios). The construction operations began in 1830 and were completed in 1835. The impressive church belongs to the basilica type, with a three-aisle pattern, including skillfully fashioned arches. The bell towers, on the left and the right side accordingly are delightful examples of architectural mastery.”
