Egyptian Restaurant
“We highly recommend this small but incredible Egyptian brunch restaurant open from 8 am to 7pm. Don’t miss their honey cardamom lattes, Cairo Classic plate and their Mind Blowing Chicken sandwich (but you can’t go wrong no matter what you order!) This place is incredibly popular, for good reason, and you can expect a line up if you are not arriving very early in the day. ”

Ice Cream Shop
“Amazing home made ice cream, gelato and frozen yoghurt. They make season flavours that are fantastic, I wait all year for their fall pumpkin icecream, doubled with the sweet cream flavour. Delicious. The staff is super friendly and patient with the hordes that come in. Small space to eat inside, a couple of benches outside or you can sit in the park nearby or wander the interesting street.”

“Walk 8 minutes east on Logan & north on Carlaw & look for the big yellow sign--this grocery has everything you need + beer (though the beer is not cold). It's up on a hill & not easily recognizable until you walk up some stairs or drive up into the parking lot. Open til 10 PM 7 days/week. ”
