“This is our favorite restaurant. A tapas style restaurant, all dishes at Ember come out as they are ready and are made to order. The menu changes seasonally and the chef uses local produce, meats and cheeses. Monday nights is BYOB with no corkage fee for wines. We love dining on their gorgeous outdoor patio. They do take walk-ins but we recommend a reservation if you would prefer not to wait. Try the Ahi Tuna Nachos!”

“Stony Brook has always been a favorite of ours. The park has a great hike up the gorge with lots of places to get your feet in the water and a ton of waterfalls. The bottom of the hike has a natural, brook fed swimming pool. There are also picnic areas and pavilions here for lunching. ”

The views are gorgeous and there are many pavilions and picnic spots to enjoy a bite to eat. Letchworth also has a public pool for swimming. ”

“A MUST for a true local's experience. The Friday fish fry is a classic Western NY speciality but they have excellent food and drink for any time of day. Comfort food meets healthy, fresh cuisine with an irie vibe. Check in for live music and night scene. Just swing through to see what's up while you're in town!”

“The park prominently features three large waterfalls on the Genesee River, which flows within a deep gorge that winds through the park. The rock walls of the gorge, which rise up to 550 feet in places, prompted the area's reputation as the "Grand Canyon of the East".”

“Deer Run Winery has live music on Thursday nights starting at 6pm. The concerts are free and the winery has wine slushies and bottles available for purchase. You cannot bring any outside alcohol but you can bring your own food. They do have local food trucks attend if you would prefer to purchase food there. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy! It does get crowded. We prefer to sit a little ways back at the concert so it's not too loud and we don't get stuck in the crowd. ”

“Owned by our dear friends, Alysha & Ian, they offer excellent local goods, craft beer, kombucha on tap and my favorite 'The Pigery' season porkchops. Make this stop a MUST. First stop before the SureFine Grocery store who has what the Cornerstone does not.”

Point of Interest
“This a great place for a family outing. Minnehans is on the north end of the lake. If you travel north on West Lake Road all the way up the lake it will be on the north east corner of the first traffic light you come to. Minnehans features an 18-hole mini golf course, 4 different go-karts, a discovery zone, driving range, outdoor laser tag, and arcade. They have delicious ice cream and an extensive menu. Worth the trip for some off-lake activities!”

“~Stony Brook State Park is a 568-acre state park located in Steuben County, New York. It is located south of Dansville on New York State Route 36. Stony Brook became a summer tourist spot in the late 19th century, following the construction of a railroad in 1883. The resort fell into decline by the 1920s. New York state resurrected the area by buying the land and establishing the state park in 1928~ //(585) 335-8111”

“The Beachcomber is .6 miles north of our cottage on the lake. You can get there by boat, car, or if you're feeling amitious, by foot. This establishment features a sit-down restaurant for traditional dining, a cabana grill and bar. They have live music on the weekends and is a good spot for lake night life. It is kid-friendly until the nighttime hours and has a sandy beach. ”
