Natural Feature
“Y Foryd is a partially enclosed intertidal bay on the Menai Strait – at low tide, 250 hectares of sand and mud habitats can be seen, which are important feeding habitats for a number of native and migratory bird species, such as shell ducks, waders, oyster catchers, curlews, lapwing and large flocks of over 5,000 widgeon. The pointed location by Google shows the approximate location of the Foryd area. However, with a short 5-10 minutes walk from the town centre over the swing bridge near Caernarfon castle you can be enjoying the views and nature of Y Foryd”

“Only 10 minutes drive from Ashcoast House, near the village of Llandwrog on the main A499 road. This is a hidden gem. You will find extensive historic gardens, Grade-I listed, with woodland walks, follies and sculptures. You will love this park, it is full of wonder. The tree trail is amazing, you get to see trees from all over the world. There are over 200 different species of trees and an abundance of nooks and crannies. Add an amphitheatre, many sculptures and water features... what more can anyone want?”
