“Ok, they do a decent range of lunch foods, but if you want to satisfy that sweet craving they are the place to go for cakes, biscuits and all the rest. Check out the cake displays on the tables in front of the cash register before ordering. My seven year old also says they do really good milkshakes!”

Aliments
“An atmospheric bluestone cellar door contains some of the region's finest wines. Taste a diverse range of exciting wines and learn about the vineyard where these wines are made.”

Museum
“ Most people interested in local history, mining or agricultural history end up spending half a day here. There is a small Aboriginal exhibit, and displays of what life was like in the 1800s. See the video about the nearby Cadia gold mine (a lot of locals work at the mine), but most of their exhibits are of old farm machinery with plenty of buttons for children to press and see how the machinery worked.”

Cafe
“It's tiny, but they do great coffee, a good range of brunch and lunch foods and sell local produce. There is usually a bowl of water out the front for furry friends, but weekend mornings you might be fighting with cyclists for a chair”

“This is an old style everything shop with a modern update. It sells fast food, it's the local newsagent, and you can find all of your basic conveniences (but you will pay convenience store prices)”

Bar
“Family friendly and a decent range of meals that are better than your average Aussie pub meal. In winters they light the fire, in summer the beer garden is a lovely place to hang out and there is a small playground for children. ”

“Historic town of Millthorpe. Visit the shops, an incredible place to explore. We even got married in the Gardens of the public school ”

“This a great relaxed very small "bistro" that is really a Japanese restaurant that serves really good fresh sushi, and all the rest. They also do kids meals, Japanese style, while at the same time you can get cheap bowling club priced drinks, let the kids go crazy in the toy corner, or let them run like crazy on the spare bowling green. The bistro does only take cash, but you can get money out at the ATM inside the club, or pay by card at the bar.”

Cafe
“Very good Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Sav Blanc, Merlot & Pinot Grigio. You can also enjoy a cheese plate or stock up on truffles (when in season)!”

Train Station
“On weekends this is a great spot to visit for the historic feel of the place. Great cafes, speciality shops, antiques and of course Tonic Restaurant. Angullong is a family owned wine company from the premium high altitude cool climate. The blue stone wine tasting venue is as good as the wines. The town has been the set for a number of movies.”
