“The Deer Head features live music at least four days a week and is the oldest continuously running jazz club in the country! Check their website for their show schedule. We recommend going hungry as they have a great menu with several vegetarian/vegan options.”

“Edge of the Woods Outfitters is the company we always recommend to our guests, though there are others that I can recommend for you also. An all-day canoe rental would be $84 for 2 people. The price is the same whether you go for 2 hours or the whole day so I would definitely choose the all day tour. Don't be intimidated by an all day river trip. The river really carries you, so you won't be stuck paddling all day. The company provides round trip transfer shuttles also. You will see a lot of bald eagles and wildlife. This outfitter also has kayaks but canoeing is better suited for beginners and for all-day trips. https://www.watergapadventure.com”

“Del. Water Gap Trolley tour is a very affordable family activity and a great history lesson on the Native American tribes that called the Pocono region their home. Original vintage trolleys have been restored to their original glory with polished wood interiors and retrofitted with air conditioning. I hired the trolley for my wedding instead of using a limo! http://www.watergaptrolley.com/”

Trail
“What better way to spend your time in the Poconos than hiking a few miles of the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail! Be sure to bring your hiking shoes as the trail is somewhat rocky. This section of the AT offers beautiful verdant views and glimpses of the Delaware River. We recommend fueling your walk with a bite to eat from the nearby Deer Head Inn.”

“If you venture down to Shawnee MT to ski, or spend the day on the river or at the National Park, this is MUST DO afterwards. Where the true locals hang out, you will find an eclectic crowd and amazing food. A Pocono local secret.”
