  • Overall, this place was a great experience. The house had a very warm and inviting atmosphere. Crestone itself was a very safe and welcoming community. Everyone was friendly and smiled. The hiking around the area was great and fun. The fireplace was a great touch to end a long day of adventuring. The bed cave was really cozy. Not necessarily a true downside (it just really forced us to disconnect from the world and really enjoy the outdoors and the area for what it was) but the wifi was extremely weak depending on the device you used to connect to it as the access point was not inside the house but somewhere else in the complex and the TV was an older model with no HDMI input. The only real issue we had was the knives in the kitchen were barely sharp enough to cut and some of the lights were missing bulbs or did not work. There was no washer or dryer as listed. Even so, I would recommend this place to get away and truly disconnect from the world and enjoy. We plan on coming back to vacation in this community again sometime.

  • This was one of the most beautiful, yet simplistic structures I have stayed in. It's in the middle of town, less than a block to the closer of two grocery stores, a block from the Saturday street market, and with easy access to nearby nature. The house locked just fine (with no hole above the door) and was clean when we arrived. We comfortably fit 4 adults, two in the downstairs cove, one upstairs on the twin bed, and one on one of the cushioned benches. Electrum was very friendly and invited us to pick some delicious cherry tomatoes from the geodesic dome. And we even woke up one morning to find a mother and baby deer grooming by our window. It will definitely be a top choice for us to revisit!

  • What a lovely place to stay in Crestone! The manager checked on us after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. Walking distance to everything Cretone has to offer and a great fireplace, too! We would definitely stay here again.

  • This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. It is our happy place!! Perfect place to enjoy Crestone

    Sabrina2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay for hikers or just people that want to get to a small, quiet town for a few days. Fantastic views of the mountains and lots of animal life. Recommend the bar to anyone staying, as well as Cloud Station for breakfast and coffee.

  • It was absolutely awesome! The house was cozy and the ambiance was very peaceful! She was very accommodating and a wonderful host. I will most definitely come back to this place. Thank you!

  • Starla was very inviting! We felt right at home even thought we were almost a thousand miles from it! If you have an expectation of what crestone is, go ahead and get rid of them! Come with an open mind and heart. This community loves their land and everything it provides for them. The coolest part of our trip was the deer that would just walk around the yard and eat apples from the trees. Truly a gratifying experience!

Tumbleweed Ranch is a quaint, charming Yurt like dwelling nestled in the San Louis Valley. This desert climate is the highest and largest high Alpine desert of its kind in the country. Close to Great Sand Dune National Park, Hot Springs, Hiking trails, Horseback riding.. You’ll love my place because of the peace and quiet and breath taking views.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets).
  • We had a great stay at Tumbleweed Ranch over the 4th weekend. The yurt was quaint and cozy, and we didn't see any other people during our stay. Lots of room for our pups to run and play. Scottie was a great host- lots of communication and detailed directions and check-in instructions. Great hikes nearby!

    Jaime2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful Vibe. You will need to be able to pull your weight and take care of this place. There are more improvements on the horizon. If you are good at coking over a fire way better view than any kitchen. Having the little Kitchenette was a bonus. I suggest bringing bottled water . So close to Valley View Hot Springs it will be the most amazing first timer experience and for those seasoned vets of the springs. Cheers Scottie

    Amanda2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful experience of the San Luis Valley. Hot springs, mountains, unique little Crestone … what a grand weekend. Yes, it's a yurt, kind of cabin living (composting toilet, the occasional mouse, and such), but the shifting, rosy, sunset light playing over the near-desert mountains? Very special.

  • Fun place to stay and get away from technology. Dog friendly!

    Jonathan2017-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • The house is very charming, cozy and comfortable. It is a bit of a "roughing it" type experience, but that is comfortable for me, maybe not for everyone. Scottie is an excellent host, he actually answered the phone every time I called and was very clear in communication. We had an issue with water at the house during my stay and Scottie was very reasonable and gave a sizable discount in consideration of the inconvenience. And I'm sure he will remedy the water issue before the next guest. I give Scottie and Tumbleweed Ranch 5 stars! *****!

  • Dawn's place is a sweet retreat from the city. A small and modest room but perfectly cozy and nestled right near the hot springs. Dawn provided everything we needed (water, dishes, towels, flash lights etc.) and more. She even set the fire pit up for us so all we had to do was light it. The propane heater warms the space up in about 20 mins. The bed is comfortable, the view is beautiful and Dawn was incredibly helpful and available for any directions and questions that we had. The only down side to this place is the bathroom situation. It is a portable toilet out in the open in the corner of the room. Not ideal. We didn't use it as we had overnight passes to the hot springs but if you needed to it may be uncomfortable. Overall this place is great and perfect for those who enjoy a little adventure. We will definitely be back! Thank again Dawn!

    Anna2017-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn's off-grid "cabin" is a one-of-a-kind experience. I stayed for three days in December 2017 and was reminded of just how cushy we have it in our homes! The cabin and outdoor set-up is adorable. Being out in the open rather than surrounded by trees makes the big Colorado sky with colorful sunrises and sunsets one of the best features of this home. Dawn was a friendly, genuine, and thoughtful host, explaining the gas heater and features of the tiny home, as well as areas to explore nearby. She was very upfront about the bathroom situation, so book this trip with the knowledge and understanding that unless you wish to go outside, you will be using the (clean and good-smelling) bucket contraption, or driving down the road a minute to Joyful Journey. There are neighbors nearby and I was able to get phone service, so while you are "off-grid", you have people nearby in case of an emergency. Dawn provided plenty of materials for cooking over the fire and blankets to keep guests warm at night. However, staying during the winter months means you will be cold, so bundle up more than you think you might need. Despite the several blankets and wearing layers to bed, I was still very chilly, so I'm interested to possibly come back during warmer weather and seeing what other features she talked about adding to the cabin someday, most-notably some wall insulation and possibly a fireplace heater. Again, for an off-grid, almost camping, quiet and charming experience, you've come to the right place!

    Riley2017-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was what we expected and MORE! My fiancé and I were looking for a quiet and quaint place to get off the map for a couple days, and this place was perfect! The photos are accurate of what you are getting but there's so much more to the place than meets the eye. The pictures don't show you the beauty of the sunrise and sunset rising over the distant mountain ranges. Words can't really explain the healing powers of the quiet, wide-open spaces you get just outside the front door. (The QUIET was our favorite part!) If you're looking for a little getaway away from the crowds, this is your spot! Dawn was in touch and very responsive with any questions and concerns we had. She had suggestions on had for places to go and things to do (even though we spent the whole weekend just lounging by the fire) * My only suggestion is - if you travel here during the winter - bring the warmest clothes and blankets! We got a bit chilly the first night.

    Morgan2018-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Dawn was great and very hospitable! She went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was amazing and I would definitely go back and I would recommend the place to everyone!

Located in the San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado. Our 35 acres is the home to our small herd of dairy Camels. Stay in our yurt, meet the camels and get a farm tour, and enjoy the beautiful views! We are also less than a 10 minute drive to Joyful Journey Hot Springs and a 20 minute drive to Valley View Hot Springs. Please know that we are an operating farm. You will find and see camel poop, barn cats roaming, dogs herding, and farmers working :-)
The yurt has a queen size bed and a futon available for sleeping arrangements. The yurt is off grid and lanterns are by the side of the bed, by the futon, and by the entrance. There are sensor activated lights outside of the yurt. There is a portable toilet outside, which has plenty of toilet paper, hand sanitizer and a lantern inside as well. There is a table inside and outside. There is a pitcher and basin inside available for any washing needs. Bottle water is available in the yurt as well. Windows open from the outside. Please let us know when you expect to arrive and we will come out to greet you. Your stay with us includes a farm tour if you are interested in receiving one. We will also have camel milk soaps, camel milk fudge, and other camel products available.
  • What a wonderful spot. Magical to meet the camels, and Matt who is devoted to them. The yard is perfectly comfortable and it is lovely to sit under the stars and stare at them and the mountains.

    John2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful place to stay and Meghan and Matt were so nice! We had a great time and got to hang out some really cool camels. I highly recommend staying there!

    Grace2017-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Meghan and Matthew were amazing hosts; welcoming, generous, fun and flexible. We stayed an extra night as we loved them, were fascinated by everything we learned about their animals, and thoroughly enjoyed the immediate and surrounding areas. Our stay was incredible and I feel like we made new, lifelong friends.

    David2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place was absolutely wonderful! We loved having an opportunity to meet the camels and learn all about the farm from Meghan and Matt. I was surprised at how easy it was to find the farm - the instructions were very easy that Meghan gave us. The Yurt was delightful - so adorable and comfortable. We enjoyed a little fire outside in the fire pit and watched the sunset. The farm was so peaceful. Words cannot describe how happy I am with my entire experience. The next day we got up and drove about 45ish minutes to the Great Sand Dunes National Park before driving home. If you have an opportunity to check this experience out - do it!

    Elissa2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Scenic, remote, authentic off grid experience. Exactly what we were looking for. Hosts were friendly and happy to introduce us to the camels and teach us about them. A fun getaway!

  • This yurt is sooooo comfortable and cozy! There are great views of mountains all around, beautiful stars at night and lots of charming animals to meet. I highly recommend you stay at this yurt!

    Megan2017-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What an unforgettable experience this was! Meghan and Mathew are the most hospitable kind-hearted people you will ever meet. The yurt was so quaint and cozy and the camel farm was amazing! We learned so much about these amazing animals and will never forget our stay in the valley. 10/10 recommend :)

    Moriah2017-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a unique experience... if you've never met a baby camel before, Anita is anxious to greet you. The yurt was very cozy and warm, the views were stunning, and the farm was adorably entertaining. The hot springs were magical; be sure to call ahead! Also if you get a chance, have some camel milk. It gives you super powers :)

  • Definitely rustic, and very beautiful, with gorgeous views of the mountains, sage, and stars. Doug's a wonderful host--conscientious about communications and interesting and easy to talk to.

    Kristin2014-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely one night stay for my wife and I. Definitely a rare rustic experience, which is right up our alley. Basically a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove and oven, with some utensils, bowls, Etc) allowed us to cook two great meals. Wifi was also nice since we had some rain and just snuggled up for the night after a long (perfect) day at Valley View hot springs. The beds unfortunately are a bit small for two (avg size adults) to sleep together in overnight and it was too inconvenient/challenging to try to push them together. Otherwise a perfect spot and Adam was a wonderful, accommodating host.

    Tim2016-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Adam's airstream was a great spot to pull into and spend the night on our drive from Denver to Santa Fe. We arrived much later than planned, and Adam was incredibly flexible and understanding. Trailer had everything you might need. Best part was definitely the stars at night!! We got up in time for the sunrise as well, and it was beautiful. Would definitely stay again if making this drive again!

  • I had a great time at the ranch, staying in a vintage trailer in a beautiful wild setting. The sunsets are amazing, and the fire pit next to the trailer is a great place to relax. The ranch is at a perfect location for exploring the Northern part of the San Luis Valley (the towns of Crestone, Moffat, Saguache). Very hospitable hosts, and a wonderful experience overall.

    Andrew2017-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Doug's Airstream is a unique and fun place to stay. Located close to Great Sand Dunes National Park and two hot springs, this is a great place to get away and enjoy the outdoors. It has beautiful panoramic views of the San Luis Valley, which is lined on the east by the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Doug is an amazing host with a truly special place to share.

    Monte2014-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Doug's vintage airstream was a perfect 1st stop in the valley. We highly recommend it if you are looking to get off the beaten path and get the true taste of this area of CO. Even if you are not - break the mold, get off the path and stay here. Doug and Squishy were as lovely as described in other reviews. Doug is a wealth of knowledge of the San Luis Valley which was so nice to learn from a local resident. The airstream was clean, comfortable and situated in such a way you wonder if Clint Eastwood is going to come around the corner. Go to Moffat for a cup of coffee, local art and even more local flavor at the Mirage Trading Post. See the Great Sand Dunes and finish your day at Joyful Journey Mineral Spa. My only complaint is that we arrived too late to sit around the fire-pit with Doug to see the stars. If you are into star gazing - this is the place to do it. Want to see a beautiful sunrise? You get that too.

We have one Penthouse covering the 2nd story, up a flight of stairs, nestled in the trees, with a small verandah to hang out on, right off the park. Large room, king size bed, living room, dining for four, kitchen with 4-burner gas stove and service for four, 6-ft bath tub - generally big enough for two! Coffee maker & organic coffee. TV’s and ROKU (Free netflix & Pandora.) Organic soap & hair products & hair dryers. The couch opens up and has an upgraded mattress.
We are friendly to all friendly people irrelevant of skin tone or culture of origin. We celebrate and are here to facilitate world unity. We are located at: 187 West Silver Ave, Crestone, CO 81131 Check in at 3:30 pm, check out at 10:30 . Feel free to see if we have an earlier check out. Sometimes it's easy , sometimes it's not. No pets (unless arranged prior). We are a non-smoking property. Feel free to smoke on your verandah. Directions from Moffat: Turn from 17 onto T-Road. Travel down T-road for 11 miles until you see an open parking space/kiosk/Information board in front of you. The road veers left or right - you need to veer left and will come to a stop sign. Turn left. Then immediately right and park on the left in front of the Crestone Brewery. (Across from the Brewery is a large health store called Elephant Cloud.) Park as close as you can to the Brewery and walk across the park to the the 2 story beige with red trim building. The Penthouse is the top floor. I have the easiest check in possible! I give you a combination to get in, so check in is on your own timing. While the Brewery and The Bliss Inn are two separate businesses, I suggest that if you have time and the day is gorgeous - grab a glass of wine, lunch or dinner and sit on the verandah and enjoy the views. Have Fun!
The views are awesome in town, majestic and unique with the ever changing and beautiful lighting. We have a unique town - full of spiritual retreats and outrageous hiking for all levels. It is fairly quiet - yet we do have fun for such a sleepy little town. There is also horse riding a few miles away. Generally, there will be one or two places to offer live music or dance nights - at least on the weekends and maybe mid-week as well. It's the perfect location in the park in town, walking distance to all shops & a lovely & clean year-old Inn and a Cafe directly in front that has internet access as well.
  • The penthouse was exactly as advertised! It's a great location in the middle of town. There are restaurants, coffee, and supermarkets just steps away. The bed was comfortable, the tub is huge, and the kitchen was fine for making simple stove-top meals. We loved our stay!

    Amelia2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace (aka Ava's) penthouse. I love the decor, everything from the red accent wall, to the beautiful Duvet cover and couches. Plus it has a great kitchen with everything you need to cook and enjoy your stay. We didn't bother cooking though as Ava also runs the Bliss Cafe right downstairs. We ate two meals there...both absolutely fantastic. Crestone is an interesting little town...a combination of spiritual seekers and flower children. The town itself is rustic, but beautiful. Although it's a bit off the beaten path, it was a fun stopover on our journey south from Boulder to Durango. And as for the mosquitoes mentioned in the other reviews, our stay was in late August and we didn't see a one. If we're ever in the area again, we would certainly stop again for another night in the Penthouse.

    Shaeri2014-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is the quietest place. It is centrally located in the small town of Crestone. We would stay here again.

    Virginia2017-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • The penthouse was a great stay for an evening heading to Sand Dunes National Park. There were also hot springs not too far, a brewery with food and beer that was just downstairs (esp great since it was cold), and a grocery store/cafe/breakfast just across the street. I was impressed by the cleanliness- the place was meticulously clean and even cleaner than some hotels I've stayed at! Our stay was super quiet as well, even on a Friday and being located atop a brewery. Check-in was straightforward and the place was easy to find.

    Jenny2017-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Grace was very helpful with directions and readily available. The place was clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved walking right downstairs for pizza and a drink and then also walked right across the street for coffee in the morning at the Elephant Cloud.

    anna2015-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Upon our arrival, the contact with Grace was immediately excellent, warm, lively. And so too later with Brandy, who takes care of preparing the rooms, and allowed us a smooth transition from one of the single bedrooms that we had rented for the first few days, to the penthouse upstairs where we then spent most of our stay. A beautiful, vast space, just as we had imagined it from the description on the website, the penthouse was a very pleasant place to live. We enjoyed a lot having meals outside on the balcony, and the penthouse’s situation, both apart from the street, with the enjoyment of this so pleasant, green space (the city 'park') that one can see on the photo shown on the AirBnb page, yet quite connected to Crestone life, with the various people traversing this little park throughout the day. Hummingbirds around added a magical touch. And so did some so sweet attentions from Grace, texting us relevant pieces of advice at just the right moment! Also much appreciated: the very convenient full containers of high quality organic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom (and also good coffee in the kitchen).

Sun filled days and genuine dark night skies await you in our 1450 sq. ft. home. It's close to the town of Crestone, Sand Dunes Nat'l Park, Spiritual Centers, Wetlands/Wildlife Reserve, Hot Springs and National Forest. Revive yourself in peace and quite surrounded by spectacular views of 14,000 peaks and the Sand Dunes. A king bed in the master - a king & queen in the over sized loft, along with super comfy couches, a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms make for a truly enjoyable stay.
The house was built to our specifications in 2007. Designed to be a comfortable, welcoming space with an open floor plan and views from every window, it was our primary residence for over 6 years. With super efficient foam insulation, it stays cool in the summer and very warm in the winter. The master and both bathrooms have adjustable thermostats; the great room is heated by Crestone's standard ETS (electric heating system), or the wood stove if you prefer. Plus - it's a great passive solar home. The 2nd half story is large (approximately 500 sq. ft.). There is a king sized thermarest bed located in this visually private space along with a queen sized bed separated by a divider and sitting area. The views are marvelous from the 2nd story. In the living area is a flat screen TV that provides wireless programming. Enjoy your Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube or other sites via the provided Roku device. The courtyard was handcrafted by John with a whimsical, undulating strawbale wall, pavestone walkways and tons of summer time flowers and fruit trees. It is a mecca for birds and butterflies alike and provides an exceptional outdoor space for dining and relaxing. Elk, deer and antelope often wander past in the winter months. Coyotes typically provide an evening serenade. We love pets - but let's discuss any that you plan to bring and how to make their stay enjoyable too. There is an additional deposit of $50 for pets to be paid directly upon arrival.
The home is located in the grants which offers some of the most amazing views available. From the Northeast side of the house is the Sangre de Cristo range, with breathtaking views of 8 peaks over 14,000 feet. From the southwest side you see across the valley to the San Juan & Cochetopa Range. The Sand Dunes, nestled below Mt. Blanca provide a stunning picture out of the over sized dining room window.
  • We absolutely loved the panoramic mountain views! The courtyard was cute, charming, and a great spot to enjoy a drink. Quiet neighborhood and secluded property location were remarkable. The house design and floor plan were especially inviting, there are views from every room. A great place to get away from the city and suburbs of Denver. A return visit is a must! Especially excited to see the valley and mountains on a future summer trip. Cheryl, in particular, is friendly, informative, and quick to reply to emails or texts. A wonderful home!

  • This place was absolutely wonderful and Cheryl is a gracious and kind host. 5 stars all around!

  • From the moment I met Cheryl, as I drove up to this lovely home, my experience was amazing. She was a wonderful host and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. I spent crisp sunlit afternoons reading on the patio, days exploring the charming town of Crestone and enjoying the local hot springs, and evenings marveling at the stars. The location could not be more serene and picturesque. The house was cozy and spacious at the same time, and that (URL HIDDEN) words for how spectacular that view was. Every convenience was provided, and I felt as if I were at home. I look forward to staying here again soon!

This fun Yurt space is totally warm & cozy year round. You will not be cold anytime you stay as this Yurt is all insulated and all electric and high speed internet. More then just a Yurt!! It is located in downtown crestone with a shared bath house and a newly built Sauna addition. Located in a small eco-village of yurts & sacred geometry structures. We have chickens, bees, deer, bears, and garden areas. Walking distance to Cafe, brewery, market, and hiking trails. A great getaway to relax!
This Yurt is in the best location to enjoy Crestone or go to the Springs. It is equipped with a double bed, refrigerator, microwave, etc. There is great WiFi and outlets to plug into. Not really a basic Yurt as it has super insulated wall for super warm comfort throughout the year. People love the unique and different experience. The new cedar Sauna edition is soon to be a favorite part of the experience when staying in our Yurt. Come meet the locals.
  • Enjoyed my time here! Comfortable but rustic. Nice staff, central location.

  • Great hippie vibe, 420 friendly town. I would not recommend this location unless you are prepared for truly roughing it at $70/night.

  • We have nothing but wonderful things to say about our stay at Shambala. Crestone is a magical (and very 420 friendly) little town in the San Luis Valley. We left feeling so rejuvenated and very sad we couldn't stay longer. The pictures on Airbnb really don't do this place justice. The yurt sits on the prettiest property in the middle of town. With views of the mountains and the coolest geodesic dome, this place is very special. Comfortable bed, communal bathhouse and a (less than) 5 minute walk to great food (both the Cloud Station & Crestone Brewery). Yurt warms up quick thanks to a space heater and you get to sleep under the clearest skies in all of Colorado. The stars at night are just absolutely wild! PLUS Starla is a wonderful host. So friendly, helpful and just the sweetest. Definitely recommend heading south to the UFO watchtower and Sand Dunes and north to Valley View for some hot springs (make reservation in advance). We'll definitely be visiting Shambala again.

  • Staying in Crestone was a much needed break for me and my husband. This place is a hidden gem and I hope it stays that way. Crestone is a break from your everyday rat race and I can't be anymore grateful for the time we had at Electrums yurt. Waking up to the crisp mountain air and feeding the deer from my hands was the most amazing experience. The local brewery had amazing food and the Lavender Rose ice cream was beyond compare to anything I've ever had. Starla, the amazingly kind woman who helps welcome guests to the property and with other needs, was a breath of fresh air. What a beautiful soul. Cannot wait to go back!

    Gillian2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • If you're comfortable car camping, this will be perfectly acceptable. The bedding was clean as was the WC which was a very short distance from yurt.

18x18 open-plan room with a queen size bed, big picture windows with beautiful mountain views when you're standing. There is a bathroom/shower and basic kitchenette with fridge & sink, microwave and two-burner hot plate, all the basic cookware, coffee pot, dining table, etc. At the moment, there is a small 6 gallon hot water tank - which is only enough for a quick shower, then it must re-heat for the next shower.
We are friendly to all friendly people irrelevant of skin tone or culture of origin. We celebrate and are here to facilitate world unity. We provide organic shampoo, conditioner, bath wash, hair dryer & organic coffee and sugar.
Please note that the address lists this as in Moffat. Airbnb has to bypass their system to manually change the address to Crestone. The address is 220 S. Cedar Ave. and many addresses in Crestone do not show up in Crestone!
  • Grace was quick to respond to my last-minute, late-night request to stay at her place. To my amazement, she was able to accommodate me, even with my very late arrival. Her directions worked just fine for finding the place in the dark. I really liked the studio apartment; it was spacious, clean, private, artfully appointed, with ample nice towels, comfortable linens, and a beautiful view of the mountains out of a high window. As I recall, there was advance warning about the small water heater, which was fine for me, especially since Grace has a great device on the shower head which makes it easy to control the water flow (and even to stop it completely) all while maintaining your temperature setting.

    Mitch2015-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying here! I took a girls road trip with a friend and landed here. It was comfortable, very clean, warm, and spacious. Definitely bring an eye mask if you want to sleep past dawn, the skylights are beautiful, but it's bright! The area was quiet and peaceful on the end of town. It was exactly as shown and described in the photos.

    Laurie2016-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This studio is perfect for a mountain getaway or a retreat. It's also a good place to get work done in a quiet, relaxing mountain setting. The Internet worked perfectly, and I was able to cook with the kitchen supplies in the studio. Within a few blocks away, I was able to walk to get anything else I needed from the natural foods store, grocery store, and coffee shop (which has great baked goods, sandwiches, and lots more). Communication was prompt with the host, and even though we didn't meet, I felt that all logistics were clearly communicated. I'd return!

  • Grace's place in Crestone was perfect for our needs! The place had everything for the traveler. We are impressed and felt comfortable immediately. Thank you for booking us on such short notice!

  • Really cute little hideaway, very private, and exactly as described. Tiny kitchen had everything we needed. From our window we had an amazing view of incredibly close mountains, and we saw a small herd of deer picking its way across the yard in the morning. Grace is very responsive to inquiries about things to do, and we enjoyed a beautiful hike up North Crestone Trail on her suggestion.

    Melissa2016-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Grace was very helpful, by sending us directions that were easy to understand, since our GPS did not pick up the address. We did not get to meet Grace, however it was pretty nice to just to let ourselves in without meeting with anyone.

    Veronica2015-10-05T00:00:00Z

My place is close to nightlife, parks, and the town center. You’ll love my place because of the proximity to town, a two minute drive or a short cut through the woods is a two minute walk! You'll see no neighbors and feel like you're in the middle of nowhere! It's the closest thing to living in a tree house. There are wonderful mountain views out the living room and the kitchen/dining big picture windows in this open-plan house, plus the ambiance of the lovely little porch, nestled in the woods.

  • This was my first air bnb rental ever so I didn't really know what to expect. But what a delight it was, my boyfriend and I were so happy with the place we didn't wanna leave! Everything was clean and very cozy and had a homey feel to it which we loved. Wood deck with little table and three chairs around, walking in side you have a cute area with coat hooks and a coat closet, with wood steps leading you upstairs to the second floor home the ceilings were odd shapes but we're very high(I enjoyed the build) especially the kitchen with a giant window from the kitchen sink of a mountain side which was beautiful. Kitchen was a bit small but we we're still able to cook dinner both nights with no problem. The bedrooms (there are two) we're very nice and clean with very comfortable mattresses and with very soft and cozy blankets. The living room had giant windows as well that let in a lot of natural sunlight. Also Netflix was provided along with some dvds which was great. Also wifi was provided. The bathroom was a big size and had a decent sized tub perfect for taking baths (which I did and felt so relaxed) and was stocked up with plenty of clean towels. This second floor home was so cute and really did feel like a tree house, looking out of the windows you were at height of the tree tops so it felt like you were up there. You do have to drive on some dirt roads to reach the house (which wasn't a probably for us) but our gps picked up the address right away and Grace also provided excellent written directions just in case. Our romantic getaway from New York was amazing thanks to this air bnb, I would definitely recommend this home and would love to come back and rent in the future. Not to mention any question I had was answered quickly.

  • My stay at the treehouse was fantastic. I went with a couple friends for a birthday weekend away and got exactly what I was looking for. The apartment is spacious, clean, and pet friendly. The host was kind and very accommodating. The town was beautiful and everyone was very welcoming and kind. It's a short drive to the Sand Dunes, which is an amazing adventure. And everywhere you look is an incredible view. I definitely recommend this trip for anyone who enjoys hiking and sightseeing and who is looking for a relaxing weekend away.

    Maggie2017-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really beautiful, peaceful, comfortable, warm and inviting apartment. You can walk to everything in town, and it's a short drive to the spiritual centers. This would be an excellent base for those hiking in the area.

    Sonya2017-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the home for my fiancé's 30th birthday and she was in awe with the views you get from this location. The tree house location was private but an easy walk and we enjoyed a nice cold one at the Crestone Brewery. The house was spacious and gave a comforting feeling. The only down side is that the heating system wasnt sufficient for the space. The bathroom was freezing and the bedroom never heated up. My fiancé ended up sleeping in sweats and with 3 blankets because she was so cold. But overall we loved the place.

    Darius2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Grace did an amazing job of staying in touch with us before and during our stay. We had no trouble finding the place despite it's secluded location thanks to Grace's directions. My kids, husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The views from the home are gorgeous. The kids loved the small reading/play nook in one of the bedrooms. Although the main purpose of stay to visit Sand Dunes N. P., we also enjoyed exploring the small town of Crestone The wifi had a great connection as well. Grace is an excellent host and the Tree House is a beautiful home with all we needed in such a secluded area. I'd recommend her and the property to anyone and would definitely stay again if we found ourselves back in the area.

    Melissa2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Grace was extremely prompt in responding. She also accommodated our needs. She was warm and friendly. Her place is delightful with views of the mountains. The rental is spacious and immaculately clean. I highly recommend Grace's rental.

  • If you are wanting to adventure near the Sand Dunes National Park...or anywhere in the San Luis Valley...THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY!! Kit is a wonderful host and her place is so cool. It's newly built and completely off the grid (solar energy, well water, thermal floors in the winter, has wi-fi). Very convenient, private, clean, warm, and inviting! The guest suite is on it's own side of the house with it's own, separate entrance. The bedroom has beautiful 360 views of the valley and mountains...and the bathroom is perfect. She has a great kitchen that she welcomes you to use. Kit's home is on your way down to the Sand Dunes National Park from Denver (her home is about an hour drive to the dunes). It's in Moffat, CO and is off of a dirt road about 10 minutes from highway 17. It's amazingly close to the Garner Creek Trail (awesome hike!) and Valley View Hot Springs. It's about 40 minutes from a sweet little town, Crestone, that has a brewery, several other restaurants and stores, artist boutiques, and spiritual centers. Kit is happy to help with suggestions or leave you be. Her home doesn't disappoint! I will definitely be back in the fall!! :)

  • This straw bale construction is warm, inviting, and quite isolated in the valley. It's a beautiful spot, and a very nice place to wake up. Kit is a great host, and made us some nice gluten free pancakes in the morning. One note - if you are concerned about pet dander - don't pet her doggie.

  • We stayed in a comfortable bedroom in Bob's house, dedicated to Archangel Michael. Bob and family are delightful. There were cute little kids floating around, musical instruments being played, delicious home baked pastries, spiritual and inspirational books and decorations. A gorgeous location. I opted for a personal guided meditation with Bob, and it was deep felt and helpful. Bob took us on a little hike to a beautiful old tree. Breakfast was delicious. A pleasant, relaxing down-home experience. And of course easy access to the spiritual sites nearby, hiking, the cute town of Crestone, etc.

You will need a car to get here and I would suggest arriving before nightfall as it's dark at night to see road signs. A great quiet spot to rest up for the night in route to Taos, NM.

  • We breezed in and back out again without seeing Electrum, but she's got a beautiful home out in the trees. We were plenty cozy with the woodburning stove, and had some gorgeous views outside of our windows.

Beautiful dome home available. Rent entire space or one or more rooms at room pricing so other guests may share the dome with you. There are three rooms upstairs all with queen beds. One small room on the first floor holds a twin bed. In the spacious living room also on the first floor, there are two American style futons, one queen and one double. These are set up as couches and are ready made with sheets to pull down into beds.
We have funky acoustics and unique architecture. We creatively set up the space to be as flexible as possible. 20 folks stayed one night on a mid-winter retreat from the office by utilizing the 6 Western style beds and using the floor space in Eastern or camping style. We have air mattresses, a memory foam comfort lounger, and other types of nice floor bedding to meet your needs and/or you can bring your own mats, floor rolls, etc. You can also just enjoy the WHOLE house on a retreat for JUST YOU! We love providing flexible space for weekend or weekday retreats, etc. We also serve vacationers who leave for the whole day to go hiking, biking, fly fishing near Salida, skiing, etc.
  • If you are looking to experience high country Colorado, you truly could not find a more fitting place to do so than Soul Space. Being a native myself, the views and wildlife of Colorado sometimes lose their luster. This place, however, will not disappoint or grow old quickly. Between the views and the provided amenities you'll find yourself looking for an excuse to stay!

Spacious room with amazing view of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Wi-Fi, 3/4 bath. 20 min walk to town, hikes right out our door. It's quiet here. No sirens, no stoplights. Hot Springs are a 40 min drive. A great place to relax.
What do they say? Location, Location, Location. Hard to beat the view of the 14,000 ft. peaks in our back yard, the deep quiet, the close proximity to town, spiritual centers, hiking, and of course, us, your hosts :)
Our neighborhood is super quiet, yet an easy walk to town and nearby trails.
  • La chambre est très luxueuse, lumineuse avec une salle de bain privative dans une jolie maison très bien rangée. Myan nous a donné de précieux conseils pour découvrir les lieux.

  • Myan's house is warm, welcoming, and spectacular, with huge windows that offer an amazing view of the mountains! We were on our way home from an amazing week in Lyons and decided to stay one more night at the last minute. Myan responded to our inquiry within minutes on the day of and accommodated us even though we arrived after 9pm. She gave us tips on how to get there and led us on an amazing drive through the mountains before we arrived at her house. We couldn't have asked for a more gracious host. The room is splendid, with a high, A-frame ceiling and beautiful windows to admire the scenery from. In the morning, we were welcomed with fresh baked scones and fruit. We wished we could have stayed longer!

    Leland2015-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We found Myan's upstairs room to be an exceptionally comfortable oasis after a long evening of driving. The room was large with a nice high ceiling and beautiful view of the mountains beyond. Myan and John were great hosts - very amiable and well-prepared, even sending us off with much-needed homemade coffee in the morning. I hope to visit again soon.

  • Very nice room with a beautiful view in a quite neighborhood. Everything was as described on the page. Myan and Jeff were welcoming, and Myan gave me directions on the phone when I got lost. I would recommend staying here.

  • The room was cozy and welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the room was spectacular. Myan and Jeff were so kind and easy going. We felt welcome in their home and had a lovely time. My son said they were friends only a few hours after we arrived!

  • "Truly a lovely, spacious room with private bath, with a large window framing the mountains and forested landscape directly outside! What a pleasure to sleep in such silence and natural darkness. The room is large enough to do morning Yoga and comfortable for reading or working on my laptop via their internet site. Crestone itself is close by and offers plenty of dining options and artistic diversity. Mayn and Jeff were fine hosts; offering herbal tea at night and a perfect coffee in the morning! I can surely recommend this ABnB for exploring the Crestone area. PS. be sure to bring mosquito repellant if planning Summer hiking!"

    mary2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Myan and her husband were great hosts. We arrived later than expected and Myan politely greeted us at the door, showed us to our room, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was very spacious, had its own bathroom, and had a beautiful view of the mountains. They kindly offered us coffee and tea in the morning and let us use their kitchen to cook breakfast. It was a great experience and we would love to stay here again in the future.

The Haelan LifeStream Center is a beautiful health and eco-tourist rental located on 7 acres of private land in Crestone, Colorado. The rental domicile is a 1500 square foot luxury straw bale wall house which is totally off-grid, and is supplied efficiently by solar photo-voltaic and solar hot water systems. The alpine fed well water is exceptional, clean, and refreshing. This house is an ideal rental for 1 or 2 people. It can accommodate up to 3 people, and in such a case the inhabitants will need to practice energy conservation if there is a string of cloudy days; a rather rare occurrence. If you plan to travel to rent the Retreat Center in the winter months (November through April), please be aware of travel and road conditions which can be severe and extreme at this 8000 foot altitude. While the local roads are plowed well, travel to Crestone in the winter months without a 4 wheel drive vehicle is not advised. If your visit is planned for mid June through early August, please bring an insect repellent to help ward off mosquitoes which are present in these weeks of the year. If there is a string of cloudy days, then the propane generator may be required to assist the battery state-of-charge, and the hot water booster in the bathroom space will be needed to assist in raising the water temperature. Guests should be prepared for this aspect of living in an off-grid home if cloudy days prevail. The exterior of the straw bale wall is stucco covered, and the interior is local dirt clay adobe earthen plaster which lends a grounding, calming, and embracing quality to the indoor living experience. The grounds are beautifully landscaped for luxury and privacy, and can accommodate small private group functions, such as weddings, renewing of vows, dedication ceremonies, memorials, birthdays, and other similar intimate events. This embracing landscape is the most architecturally unique landscaping in Crestone, and enhances the already present magnificent vistas which surround the property. Dr. John R.M. Day, M.D. is the proprietor and has his office on the periphery of the grounds of the property. He conducts consultations with his clients in the afternoon hours. For more information about the Haelan LifeStream Center, including more photographs, and for a complete description of Dr. Day's medical services, please visit the Haelan LifeStream Center website.
This neighborhood location is in Crestone's subdivision known as the Grants. This subdivision is down off of the Chalet I and II mountain slope neighborhoods, and is in the flat part of our community, which is stationed at 8000 feet. • John was an exceptional and gracious host. He genuinely cares about creating a welcoming and expansive space and his beautiful home certainly reflects this. An amazing place to experience this part of the country. Highly recommended.

    Karen2015-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • John is a thoughtful and responsive host. He was accessible without being intrusive during the booking process during our stay. The propert is beautiful but best for a single, couple, or close friends. It is large -- many lovely rooms and gardens - but a single designated bedroom. If you are a cook, the kitchen is fully stocked with wonderful pans, spices, etc.. The property is off the grid, so while we ran into no difficulties, you might want to consider this aspect.

    Mary2017-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • John was an exemplary host. He made sure everything was perfect and answered any and all of our questions. The property was amazing both inside and out. Our experience exceeded all expectations. We woke up to beautiful views every morning and watched gorgeous sunsets every night. We will be back!

  • The house is exactly as described and pictured, a very cozy place. John is an Excellent host, making sure we where comfortable and had everything we needed. He was always reachable to help with any questions we may have. The House is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the stunning beauty of the San Luis Valley. There is plenty of space to spread out and make yourself at home. The quirky little downtown of Crestone offers everything needed for the stay including a grocery store with great organic food, a good coffee place, an art gallery, museum, a gas station and more. We also enjoyed the Hooper Pool hot springs, 40 min south, (aka Sand Dunes Swimming Pool). Thank you very much for hosting us. We had a wonderful stay and will be back at our next opportunity.

    Constantin2015-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • John's place is magical, comfortable and well appointed. The sunset is majestic and the silence of the area moving. Highly recommended.

  • John's straw bale home is really terrific. I stayed the full 2 weeks and didn't want to leave. The mountain looms behind like an ancient spirit, the bees hum over the lavender, the coyotes sing at night, and the stars will turn you inside out. It's an alternative reality with the comfort of home. I couldn't imagine a better, kinder host than John. I'll be back.

Open from Oct. 15 to April 15, weather depending. Located 1 mile from Joyful Journey Hot Springs in Southern Colorado, your private wing of this charming and fully equipped home is a superb option for 1 or 2 people seeking the hikes, hot springs and priceless views of the north San Luis Valley.
Located at 8100 feet on the 40 acre Red Cloud Ranch in north Moffat, this warm, inviting and well lighted home features hand-rubbed smooth plaster interior walls and a tastefully appointed interior. Guests occupy the north wing of the home which includes two bedrooms (one with queen bed, the other with a twin bed) and private bathroom with shower/tub. Enjoy unadulterated and pristine water from a deep well. From the front porch, view the entire Sangre de Cristo mountain range, from Poncha Pass to Mt. Blanca. Outdoor fire pit is available for grilling and evening entertainment. 2-3 bundles of firewood are recommended, per fire.
The north San Luis Valley is truly spectacular. The views are 360 degrees, the weather ever-changing with warm and sunny summer/fall days and cool nights - great for sleeping. Hiking in the Sangre de Cristo wilderness is a rich experience with well kept trails, running streams, aspen groves, elk herds and views beyond compare. The Great Sand Dunes National Monument is a 45 minutes drive south, and other attractions south include a crocodile farm and a ufo watchtower (no joke!).
  • Red Cloud Ranch is a true paradise. The home is just off of 285, set between two mountain ranges and atop an aquifer with the purest crystalline drinking water one could ever sip. It's location is enhanced further by two fantastic hot springs destinations, one within 3 minutes drive and one about 20 minutes away. Red Cloud is also a hop skip and jump away from crestone and a short drive away from the sand dunes. The owner, Doug, could not be kinder. His hospitality goes above and beyond, offering fresh towels, kitchen utensils and cooking supplies, extra warm blankets and seasoned travel tips. His dog squishy is polite, adorable, and quite hypoallergenic, my boyfriend usually has allergies and asthma around pets and didn't have to use his inhaler at all during our stay w Doug and Squishy. Red Cloud is a true oasis, a home that one would be lucky to experience during a trip to the San Luis valley!

    Alyssa2014-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Red Cloud Ranch enhanced our experience in the San Luis Valley exponentially! Doug is a wonderful host with a wealth of knowledge about the area, and his accommodations are clean and comfortable. I can't recommend a stay with him and his four-legged cohost Squishy :) Looking forward to coming back in the summer and checking out the Airstream!

    Laura2014-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Doug was a friendly host and had everything we needed. Thanks for making our stay at your beautiful home enjoyable and taking us on such short notice!

    Alex2014-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Host Doug is simply the BEST! I contacted Doug with very short notice when my son and I were planning a last minute jaunt to the San Luis Valley and Great Sand Dunes National Park. We were both drawn to Doug's 'other' accommodation, a 28' vintage Airstream trailer. Unfortunately, that very same day, Doug had moved the trailer to winter storage as the threat of winter weather was just too great. As a second option, he offered us these two bedrooms in the north wing of his home, and it could not have been a better start to our trip. Doug is a first class host, fascinating conversationalist and kind and caring soul. He finds true joy in creating and providing a warm and welcoming space for guests to relax, re-energize and absorb the beauty which surrounds his Red Cloud Ranch. Weather permitting, he'll build you a roaring campfire to welcome you home at the end of the day - in our case after soaking in the nearby hot springs. It's the perfect place from which to observe the setting sun or the stunningly bright night sky! And then there's Squishy - the coolest dog ever and first-class host in his own rite. Love that little guy! If you've never been to this amazing valley, you are in for a treat. With all that CO has to offer, somehow I'd heard little about the valley other than the dunes. Those are breathtaking, no matter what time of year or day. But there is so much more. The great little towns and coffee shops, the artistically and spiritually inspired communities of Saguache, Crestone and the BACA, naturally occurring hot springs (I just learned there's a fault line running the length of the valley allowing us to tap into the geo-thermally heated underground aquifer), and all sorts of water sports in season (particularly up by Salida). Doug will tell you about the life-giving water of the valley. It's one of the reasons he is there and it certainly tasted good to me! There's really something special about this valley. You won't really understand that until you visit. As Doug explained, it has been a place of unique understanding and peace among its inhabitants and visitors throughout history. I think you will feel that when you visit and be blessed. Indeed, I was. Thank you, Doug Lewis.

    Janet2014-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our first airbnb experience was great. We were looking for overnight accomodations in the San Luis Valley that included an outdoor experience. Doug and his dog Squishy greeted us upon arrival and welcomed us to their home. Doug's home is warm, relaxed and inviting. Our room was quiet, private and comfortable with en suite bath. The main draw for us were photos of the outdoor space and we were not disappointed. The Red Could Ranch is nestled in a quiet valley, situated between two mountain ranges, with a gorgeous view of the sun setting in the mountains. We enjoyed cooking dinner over the campfire, and watching the stars fill the sky. The following morning Doug served a simply delicious hearty oatmeal and offered great tips about the area. He was spot on about the great hot springs at Joyful Journey Hot Springs pools, delicious freshly ground coffee in Moffat, and the Great North America Sand Dune National Park, The stars are magnificent, the company fine, so if you crave the great outdoors we recommend Doug's place and the San Luis Valley area.

    Diana 2014-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Doug was an incredibly interesting person and his home was very unique. We feel in love with his dog, Squishy. Doug's house is in a specular (yet, unknown) part of Colorado and only a minute away from a hot spring (we visited twice). We would absolutely stay here again and I hope to cross paths again with Doug.

Private suite in strawbale house bordering greenbelt. Vistas & birdsong galore! Enjoy spacious cathedral ceiling studio with cushy couch & airy bedroom. Private entrance & bath; shared kitchen. Roam the woods. Lift your spirit, calm your mind.
"Like staying in a National Park" has often been a remark made by guests and indeed it is. It is a getaway destination devoid of media connection ~ (cellphone reception often is fine tho there is - purposely - no WiFi at the house; (WiFi in town - 5 min away). This space is offered to allow the beautiful wild surroundings to feed & heal your soul. The house is a secluded strawbale & stucco construction with no traffic. big trees. views. no noise. The suite is a beautiful spacious private lock-off, with private entrance. The bedroom is light & airy with aspen ceilings & French doors and has a new queen size real bed with topper. The studio has an aspen cathedral ceiling , cushy couch & a writing/laptop table. Meditators, writers (song & word), yogis & such will find the space inspiring. Radiant heated wood floors with with clean rugs.. so we have a strict NO SHOE (slippers provided) & NO PET policy. This is a NON SMOKER listing. The private bathroom is light & lovely with a roomy shower and is located just off the nicely equipped, cozy & colorful shared kitchen. This is a perfect space for one or two people. No parties are allowed here - it's a place of creativity & inspiration, where you can allow both the suite and the magnificence of wild places to fill, relax & inspire you. The town of Crestone, replete with an art gallery, grocery stores, shops & dining, is about 1.5 miles away.
The neighborhood is about the wild .. the land and the creatures that inhabit it, the mountains & the trees. the sky & the quiet... and it is all spectacular. The wildflowers around the house by mid-Summer into Fall are magical and abundant. It is like being in a sanctuary here with the spirit of the connectivity of all things at the core ... and it is our home. We also have a vigilant neighborhood watch program.
  • TC's place was exceptionally clean and beautiful. The surrounding natural habitat and quiet was uplifting and healing. Thanks!

  • My husband and I wanted a quiet spot for a 5 night stay in Crestone where we would have easy access to beautiful out of doors places. We also wanted to have access to a nice kitchen in which to prepare meals. We loved our stay at TC's place. Every morning I wandered outside the door into the wild. There was rain sometimes, so the creek by the property was running. The space allotted to us was very generous and beautifully decorated. There was plenty of room for both of us to do our yoga at the same time. The kitchen was very nice. TC provided us with an assortment of dishes and pots and pans. She also made room in her fridge for our groceries. There is a nice round table in the kitchen to sit at. This is a nice place to stay if you want to have easy access to town and to spiritual centers up the road. The futon bed was comfortable and every night I had fantastic dreams. This is a wonderful place. No internet access and iffy cell phone reception.

    Lisa2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for two nights for a solo weekend getaway. I was looking for a quiet place to rest – and I found it! If you’ve ever dreamed of living in a cabin in the woods, this place is for you! It’s definitely quiet – except for hummingbirds, the patter of rain, and rolling thunder. The house itself is artfully inspiring. I felt right at home, and TC is a lovely hostess. You will have plenty of privacy in a beautiful, clean space. I would recommend this place for couples and solo travelers (if you are a solo female traveler, you will feel safe and cozy here). The bed is super comfy – I slept better than I have in ages! And don’t forget to take in the views as you’re driving up and down the road to the house – the mountains as you’re traveling up the road, and the sweeping valley on your way down the road. I would stay here again.

  • This is a beautiful home and my host was very friendly and accommodating. It was unfortunately very hot and difficult to not be able to keep windows open due to break-ins by bears. My hostess did her best to keep her home safe from bears, but it was a difficult situation for her. I did appreciate her kindness and responsiveness to my needs.

Beside the room is a kitchen that you can use as well as laundry which we both took advantage of. Quiet and comfortable and we would definitely stay there again. Susan was sweet and kind and would have loved to stayed longer. Not a lot going on in the area but we were on our way to the dunes. There is a great coffee shop in town!

  • I have a long history with this incredible town and people who live here, and this trip and stay were extraordinary at every turn. When I arrived in the late evening, my stay began with a wonderful introduction to the accommodations by the very kind and helpful renter, Sophia. Susan returned from a trip out of town shortly after that and not only welcomed me but it turned out, by coincidence, that we shared a close connection in town, and that set the stage for a magical visit. I look forward to staying in this beautiful, clean, comfortable and homey place again. I feel fortunate to have become acquainted with Sophia and Susan, both lovely people!

Continue on T Road to the end (about 11.9 miles) At the end of T Road, you'll see 2 large white stone rectangular slabs that read: The Baca Grant, Chalets Turn left onto Baca Grande. In about 2 miles, turn right onto Camino Real. First house on the right is 1573 Camino Real: A Frame House with circular drive. THE ENTIRE TRIP FROM DENVER should take about 4 hours.
  • Amazing place, very quiet and secluded, my advice is stock up on things you need, nearest Walmart is 1hr away. The town is cool, great ice cream , and even better views. Check out Zapata Falls, while your there!

  • Chris has a spacious and sunny place just outside of town. Crestone is welcoming and the Sangre de Christo mountains are striking. All around this was a peaceful spot, complete with big windows, beautiful views and a tasty brewery in a cool little town up the road.

  • Great house great location.

  • Nice, clean, and cozy home that was stocked with everything we needed. The town was also nice and the people were helpful. A lot of fun things to do with your family. We definitely will be back!

  • Nice house but master bedroom has several problems. There is one very large window in bedroom facing south (and the road) with no blinds or coverings. So it gets super hot in the day. There's only one small window that opens about 6" at the bottom, so you can't get cool air in. Even with 2 fans going, it stayed hot during the night. No window coverings means you wake up at sunrise. And no privacy from the road at night. The house is on a main road into the subdivision. Also there is no door to the bedroom so there is no separation from the main floor. The rest of the house was fine.

  • The views here are stunning! Kitchen was fully equipped for family cooking. Comfortable, warm, and cozy on a snowy night. The owner answered all of our questions promptly and provided helpful detail on sightseeing in the area. Wifi and Netflix access were really nice to have. This is a really fun house for a getaway.

  • Wonderful place to get away very quiet and the views are unbelievable the house was the same as pictured all communication was good and quick response

  • Charm factor: High. My stay was relaxing here, no hassles. The house is cheerful and warm with custom wood construction throughout. It is clean and uncluttered. Very responsive hosts. The house feels very open and sits in an amazing natural area, hence it is easy to feel a part of nature here. The space feels cleansed by chanting, and has tons of windows and an orientation that allow a lot of light in. Great views!

This is a unique property is well furnished, with a warm and cozy feel. It is a half of the house (with a locking door in between the rental and the home) with a separate entrance, porch, bedroom, and single futon in the living room area. Ideal for a couple or a couple with one child, or 2 friends, (or 3 friends if 2 of them don't mind sharing the queen bed in the bedroom.)
The apartment is a separate and private part of my house with a separate driveway and entrance, screened porch, large living room with efficiency kitchen, private bedroom, single futon in living room and private bathroom with tub and shower. There are fans for the summer, floorboard heat and lots of screened windows with coverings so the light and air can be adjusted.
I am on a quiet street in Crestone, near the cemetery and walks into the BLM land, 1 mile from N Crestone Campground and trailheads and 2 miles from S Crestone and Willow lakes trailheads. There are walking trails, shops, and restaurants that are accessible on foot, or only a short drive to the trailheads, hot-springs and 14 K peaks.
  • This little gem nestled in the bushes is fantastic. You can hear the banking brook and enjoy tranquility on the screened porch. 2 minute walk to downtown, though. Another magical location. Comfy home and perfect location. Had a great time here.

  • Very nice place. Comfy not fancy and that is exactly what I was looking for. Close in town so could walk everywhere. Bed was very very comfy. My favorite part of the house was the screened in porch. I sat out there reading and watching the deer eat grass and drink water. Thanks so much.

Sweet hotel room with a kitchenette for two. Basic service, two burner stove & fridge. Large shower, little table and two easy chairs. Queen bed + Roku Streaming for free Netflix/Pandora on the TV. Centrally located, next to park and Cafe - yet quiet.
We are friendly to all friendly people irrelevant of skin tone or culture of origin. We celebrate and are here to facilitate world unity. 187 West Silver Avenue, Crestone, CO 81131 Comfy queen bed, small dining&kitchenette w/ basic tableware, pots n’ pans. Each room has a coffee maker & organic coffee with a nice big shower and TV to provide free Netflix & ROKU (the leader in streaming entertainment) We provide organic soap & hair products & hair dryers. Quiet, yet in town.
The views are awesome in town, majestic and unique with the ever changing and beautiful lighting. We have a unique town - full of spiritual retreats and outrageous hiking for all levels. It is fairly quiet - yet we do have fun for such a sleepy little town. There is also horse riding a few miles away. Generally at one or two places in town, there is live music or dance nights - at least on the weekends and maybe mid-week as well.
  • Grace was communicative and helpful, the room was exactly what I needed. Rolled into Crestone, walked in to a clean, comfortable room and went to sleep. Extremely convenient for hiking Challenger and Kit Carson. I didn't use the netflix/TV/internet, but the were nice nonetheless. I did have a victory dinner at the Bliss Cafe right nextdoor that evening, very convenient since I was parked right outside the whole day. Made a great Saturday possible!

  • Super cute, clean room right in the heart of Crestone. Great kitchenette, large bathroom and shower. Right behind the brewery and across from the park.

  • Grace's place is an impeccable spot which reflects her attention to a visitor's overnight comfort: a very comfortable bed, a kitchenette where I could make my morning cup of tea and keep a few groceries cold. A shower with 3 dispensers of liquids for hair and body. A nice touch were the 7 wooden hangers in the closet area. No plastic here! SItting outside the room, on the wooden bench, in the morning sun, taking in the quiet of the mini-park, on a Sunday morning, was a wonderful way to breathe peace into the start of my day! Crestone is a funky little town, with folks who love to gather and make music and build community. A visitor might inadvertently find themselves party to that listening audience.

  • I loved staying at the Charming Park Side Hotel both times I visited Crestone. In my opinion, the rooms are nicer than most hotel rooms. I could feel Grace's caring spirit in her choice of bedding, furniture, bath products and the cute kitchenette with all you need to cook or refrigerate your food. The location of the hotel is right across the street from a wonderful grocery store, the Elephant Cloud Market with its adjacent cafe and gathering place where you can share a table with Crestone locals if you like, and listen to live music. It was quiet in the room even with the window open, and I slept deeply in the comfortable bed. Grace responded immediately each time I had a question. I highly recommend staying there!

  • I had such a great visit at Grace's penthouse. She has a great location next to Bliss Cafe! I ate there for pretty much every meal and would swing by for coffee/tea/wine. The room was comfy and very clean. Ava (who checked me in) is very sweet and friendly. She was a very accommodating host! I would definitely recommend Grace's hotel to friends.

  • What a wonderful place to stay! The penthouse apartment is beautifully decorated, everything looks brand new, and is in a beautiful surrounding. We were able to meet and visit with the hosts in the Bliss Cafe down stairs. Wonderful, interesting people!
