“The Landscape is gorgeous beyond belief. It's an easy trail. More of a walk than a hike. Go early in the morning because it gets super hot and is without shade. Take LOTS OF WATER with you. It isn't too difficult for kids. Not good for really young children. One spot at the very end is a bit scary because the trail washed away and you have to scale the hillside a bit. This entire trail is an awesome spot to watch the Whales Nov thru April. Do not leave anything visible inside your car for risk of a break in. ”

“Ka' ena Point is another all-time favorite! There is much to observe and do in this unmotorized vehicle area. The shore line is very interesting and chances are high that you will see a monk seal sunbathing and chilling in the sun. You will probably see lots of different types of crabs and sea cucumbers along the shore line. You can hike and mountain bike and certain times of the year you can observe the famous bird, The Albatross. There are two kinds of albatross in Hawaii: the ka`upu, or blackfooted albatross (rare) and the moli, or Laysan albatross (endangered). These amazing birds can live up to fifty years, and have been recorded to fly as far as 2,000 miles in one day. ”

“A fun and easy hike to one of the most beautiful places in the world. Bring lots of water if you're planning to hike there on a hot sunny day. There is no shade and the hike to the westernmost point of the island takes about 2 hours back and forth for a fast walker. If you are lucky, you see monk seals at the point!”

“If you like skydiving or are up for the thrill, my mom did this recently for her 60th bday with my sister and they both LOVED it. I was a big wimp, but someday I will go ;) *If you've got lots of time, take the scenic north shore drive along the coast. BEAUTIFUL.”

“Kealia Trail is a well-travelled trail and one of the most popular on the North Shore. Not far from our Yurt and directions can be found on the Internet. It is located above Dillingham Field where there are people jumping out of perfectly good airplanes and Peacock Flats is nearby. Hopefully, the day and time you hike you will be able to see the peacocks, but it is almost a given that you will be able to hear them:)”

“One of the most remote beaches on Oahu. Very long stretch of beach. Often can spot honus grazing on red algae. The place to go if you want to be all alone. ”

“I went skydiving with this company a couple years ago. It was an amazing experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. They drop you out of the plane over the ocean and once you pull your parachute the winds draw you back into the island. The view is incredible! It's truly a unique thrilling way to view the island and the ocean. If you are looking for an unforgetable experience and a thrill while on Oahu, you must try skydiving! ”
