“Food is pretty normal for a pub, but it is an adventure taking a foot ferry to a nearby island. The set up is very unique. Live bands at night sometimes, but adults only in the evening.”

“In my opinion, the best sushi spot in Nanaimo. But I love the warm ambience of the Old Firehouse with its exposed brick and industrial open space. Varied menu with fish, great burgers, and swanky presentation. You'll need a reservation on the weekend or be prepared to eat at the bar. ”

“"Serving up locally sourced market fresh dishes, prepared by Chef Jason Harbo. Dine indoors overlooking the stunning Nanaimo harbour, or relax on the outdoor patio". They serve a an amazing Sunday brunch, and have a great 3 clam chowder, burgers and fries, as well as numerous other barbecued items. Their upstairs pub features tasty craft beers and wines from around Vancouver Island and British Columbia, with a great view of the float planes and harbour.”
